I explained the critical necessity for the date and time of the move and then after receiving confirmation they changed the time without asking me and then cancelled the reservation. These guys are the absolute BEST. In the chaos of moving months ago I'm now realizing I never left a review for the incredible team at The Professional Moving Specialist. They arrived promptly at 8am to move our belongings out of our third floor, 1.5 bedroom walk up. We had some large, heavy items and there was truly nothing they couldn't move! The team was sweating but never slowed down. The did the whole move happily and with smiles. All items were handled carefully, but the particularly fragile ones with even extra care. Then, we made the switch to the new place, which luckily has an elevator! They were able to move items into our new home in about half the time because of this. They unrolled and laid out any rugs we had, and placed furniture nicely on top of it. We were all moved in by about noon, possibly even earlier. As someone who has moved themself in the past, I was amazed at how quickly it happened. The price is extremely fair, and they make the process of moving much more doable and less stressful. My daughter needed to move out of her college apartment and put everything into storage. She had a queen mattress and boxes and bags. (She was sub-leasing this semester) I could not get there to help her and didn't want her to have to deal with the mattress since she didn't have a car. I contacted Professional Moving and they gave me a fair estimate (there was a 2 hour minimum, which was fine). They showed up earlier than expected and it took less than an hour to move everything. These 4 men all went n got down to business. Julio, the foreman arrived early as we heard the truck parking and he later told us that he always tries to be early, because late is not good. Henry, Jeff, Aniba along with Julio efficiently worked as a team beginning at 8am- all the way til they were done at 1130. By far, all were so friendly and they took special care with all our items. Nothing was broken or damaged! We would totally recommend them to anyone who needs a move on a perfect weather Wednesday in April! Go figure it rained the day after..and as a bonus, they rolled up our carpets and wrapped them so we could bring them along and have them cleaned after our move. Didn't want to think about moving but they made it painless! Additionally, I called and understood from the rep who answered, it's a buffet meaning they don't price boxes or tables or individual furniture items and all is included except I termed the extra costs as a milkshake, as plastic wrapping, tv boxing, and tape were additional. Go figure I could have not stressed moving the books, as they brought a large garment box to toss our garbage bag of bedding and other items neatly for the move. In the morning when my guy started to dismantle the bed, I said, "that's what the movers do. And they set it up as well!" He didn't know, and gladly stopped the process with a smile. Again, this move was planned 5 days before our move out day, and would have been the same price on a Saturday, but who wants to move on 4/20 just before Easter? Not us. read more

The service was really great. Everyone was very respectful and hardworking. What I didn't like was getting this review request. Two shady practices are happening that if I knew was happening I would have gone with a less expensive moving company. The links they send after your service for review requests don't allow you to leave a review for anything less than a 5 star rating. This is banned from all major review sites and is known as "review gating." It gives a dishonest view of the company. On top of that, Yelp doesn't allow for review generation - at all. So whoever they're using for review management is putting their whole organization at risk due to lack of integrity. read more
