We had Chicagoland moving and storage do a full pack and move with overnight storage for our 3 story townhouse in Chicago to the western burbs. I was extremely nervous beforehand because moving is already stressful enough but when you have a bad moving company it can be a nightmare. Fortunately this was not the case and it was the best move experience we've had! The company properly assessed the job (in person) and sent the right amount of men and truck space. Our crew was led by Tito and the team was so fast and efficient on both move out and move in day. I never saw any of the guys taking a single break. Then all of our stuff arrived safely without anything broken! They also took such great care of both our home we were moving out of and the new house. The team took the time to blow grass away from the entry to not bring it into the house, they also even put pads(that they had) on the bottom of furniture pieces after assembling to protect our new floors. I cannot say enough good things, made moving much less stressful with a baby, kid and dog! read more

I just had the best move of all time. Chicagoland moving showed up right on time, and sent staff that were exceptional in terms of professionalism, as well as the total Hustle. They quoted me for 4 hours and we ended up having a 6-hour move because I added on having them move materials from another storage unit to my storage unit as well as the rest of the things coming from the apartment. Chicagoland Moving is what every moving company should be like but is not. When I moved from the Chicago area to Indianapolis in May, I got four estimates. Chicagoland was a little over half of the other estimates with a confirmed price and no extra added surprise charges. Communication was excellent, and someone answered all my questions promptly. They provided 40 free packing boxes of various sizes and box tape. They also included 30 days of free storage, which I took advantage of to get my new condo painted and carpeted without furniture in the way. Erez Ron, who came to my condo to do the estimate, told me the movers would pack hanging clothes in wardrobe boxes, as well as pack lamps, shades, and the TV, even though I did my own packing. I appreciated those extra touches. They put smaller boxes in a huge carton to save trips to the van and plastic-wrapped and padded well all the furniture, adding barcodes to every piece of furniture and boxes. The packing crew of four was professional, fast, and efficient. They treated my furniture with care, noting a few dents and scratches on a form and pointing them out to me first. They even took apart the large entertainment center that I couldn't imagine them getting out the door. One of them took pictures to show where all the furniture was placed, which helped at arrival. When I was ready for my things, I was able to get delivery on the requested date, for which I was grateful. The unpacking crew of three was equally professional, fast, and efficient. They were concerned about putting every piece of furniture in just the right place, instead of plopping it in a room. I had all the boxes put in the second bedroom (for which I don't have furniture) and they voluntarily piled them by room, which helped a lot with unpacking later. One nightstand had a broken trim board, and one cabinet door had a scratch, neither of which made sense since they were wrapped so well. But the mover took them to repair for free. I was back in the area the next week, so it was easy to pick them up; I am pleased with the repair jobs. The whole process was smooth, the service was outstanding, and the price was excellent. Usually, I don't like to see business promotions in my emails, however, I was surprised and happy to receive a Thanksgiving greeting from Chicagoland Moving & Storage yesterday. A little bit less than a year ago, we used this moving company to move my daughter from her apartment in Chicago to a house, and we were pleased with their job. I found this moving company from Yelp, and felt obligated to share our good experience with our fellow Yelpers as well! However, it was during a very busy time with Thanksgiving and Christmas coming up, the idea of writing a review just slipped my mind! Their Thanksgiving email served as a reminder for me to finally write this long over-due good review! After I called their office, Kristin emailed me an inventory form to fill out. If you fill out this form fairly accurately, then the estimates that they give would be pretty accurate as well! Their price was not the lowest, but it was reasonable. We had a team of 2 men and 1 woman, and all three of them were very capable and worked hard. They were pretty friendly and accommodating as well. They showed up promptly at the time promised. Since movers were not allowed to use the front of the apartment building, they had to park in the back alley, and used the narrow back wooden stairs to move everything from the second-floor apartment. They professionally, cleverly, and skillfully shrink-wrapped everything, and protected some furniture with quilted blankets when needed. They did charge for materials, but it's worth it! I purchased a sturdy mattress bag online (not from them) and pre-wrapped the full-size mattress before they came. The crew professionally used strong tapes to wrap the corners and created handles so that they could easily move the heavy mattress. In the new house they had a curving flight of stairs to maneuver, but this team was very experienced with what they did. The most important thing is: they moved everything efficiently and did not damage anything, none of the things that they moved, the apartment, or the house! The final cost was even a little bit under the original estimates! I would highly recommend them! read more

Wow! These guys were truly great at their jobs. We've moved several times in the last 5 years - and haven't had any "poor" experiences. But, the experience we had with Chicagoland put our other moves into perspective. They were prompt, courteous, efficient and the best price we saw. Our move this time was cross country and we were really worried about having our entire household on a truck with 3 or 4 other households. We didn't want a "timeframe" in which someone would show up to move us in - we wanted a DATE and a TIME. We got exactly that with Chicagoland. Used Chicagoland to move from Glenview IL to Nashville TN - 6 bedroom house - we decided to pack all the content boxes ourselves slowly over a 4 week period and Chicagoland offered for us to collect some extra boxes and free wardrobe boxes from their shop if we needed - we made a couple of trips to the shop to pick up the extra boxes through the packing period. The Chicagoland Truck & Trailer arrived exactly on the agreed time (8am) on moving day with 5 guys and the biggest moving rig I've ever seen used for any of my moves. The team did an amazing job of disassembling (where needed) and wrapping all the furniture before loading everything on to the trailer. Jordan (the Chicagoland branch manager) visited the house a couple of times during the loading day and at around 2pm he sent across another 3 guys to help get the trailer fully loaded by 6pm - total of 8 guys The unloading crew travelled down to TN over the next day (12hr drive) and then the day after that, when the truck arrived at the new house we discovered that the huge truck & trailer could not get through the gated community entrance at the TN end - turning circle was too wide. Chicagoland had to arrange a local truck to offload from the trailer at a nearby truck stop and bring across to the new house in 2 transfer trips. We finished up offloading around 7pm the following day. The loading team was great and the unloading team was even better - communication was excellent and Jordan remained calm and collected through the whole process of re-arranging the logistics at the TN end to make it all work. Can't recommend this company highly enough - the difference between a good company and a great company is how you recover when things don't go to plan. read more

Fantastic service. They showed up very fast, worked hard from the moment they arrived, took good care of all my stuff, and came in -under- the estimate. Our movers arrived 10 minutes early and got to work almost immediately. We were so impressed with how efficient and professional they were. Good movers are hard to find and Chicagoland is solid, reliable and trustworthy. I recommend them! I started my out-of-state move just as the pandemic was beginning and Chicagoland was so courteous during my move-out in Chicago and took precautions in those early days of the pandemic. Fast-forward a year later -- and a year of storage of my stuff by Chicagoland (reasonable monthly fee comparable to a storage unit) -- and the process was communicative and reliable getting my things finally moved from Chicago to my new state. Unlike some movers which hire local crews from a different company, their movers came in a Chicagoland truck all the way from Illinois and were so professional (kudos to Gary and crew). They protected my floors, assembled my furniture flawlessly and were really efficient. I will also note that my furniture was packaged and protected really well by the crew in Chicago, so that when it came time to re-assemble in my new place, everything looked good and intact. Chicagoland Moving and Storage did a great job for us. We were downsizing from a big house with high ceilings and big rooms into a 1/2 size house with a narrow stairway and low ceiling in the finished basement. We wanted 6 of our biggest pieces of furniture to go down into that basement. It was a tight fit, but with skill, care, and creativity the movers got the job done without a scratch. I had some confidence in them from the start because the owners came out and visited in person to quote the job instead of just giving a breezy price over the phone. They charge by the hour and if it takes fewer hours than originally estimated then the final price is less. That was the case for us. We have used some nationally known names for moving in the past and were always dissatisfied; however, as you just saw, I have nothing but good things to say about Chicagoland Moving and Storage. Do not book Chicagoland for a long-distance move. I hired them for a Chicago to Bay Area move and they told me it would be 10-14 days from pickup to delivery. I didn't receive my things until 29 days later. When I emailed about why it was going to take so long, suddenly the owner Erez Ron stopped responding to me. Not only that, the delivery movers apparently unloaded one of my boxes to a different home in San Francisco the day before. Luckily that family found me by my name on the moving box sticker and reached out to me, but now I'm going to have to go into the city and get my things. Moving companies are often accused of deceptive and careless business practices and Chicagoland is no different. They've now got thousands of dollars from me with a lot of stress and extra work on my part. read more

I just said goodbye to the three best movers I've ever worked with, and I will never work with another moving company again. Javier,Juan, and Vicente couldn't have been nicer, more accommodating, and careful with my things. They worked together like a well-oiled machine and because I was with them the entire day, I observed first-hand how hard they worked and how efficient they were. We had a much more complicated move than we had originally planned. Instead of a straight city to suburb move, I scheduled a last-minute halfway stop at an apartment we had leased just two days before the scheduled move. There was some last minute indecision on my part about decorating, and every time I asked for help or a small change, the guys not only did so cheerfully, they gave me constructive advice that turned out to be right. Even at the end of a long day, they moved a large sofa up a long staircase with a smile when I realized that it didn't fit in the first floor location I had designated. As I wrote earlier, the move was more complicated, and hence much longer, than I had planned. But I spent the entire day with the guys and they worked their butts off. The minute they got to my city place, we did a walk-through, designated which furniture went where, and they got to work immediately. Everything was wrapped or packed with meticulous care and was treated as though it were a priceless antique. Nothing was damaged, nothing went missing, and throughout each step of the process, they made sure that I was okay with the way things were going before they hurried on to the next step. Another happy surprise was the speed with which they arrived at both final destinations. I've worked with movers in the past who've taken little breaks (on the clock) and then claimed traffic. But not only were the guys efficient at moving, they were also efficient at travelling and I only had a little bit of time to get doors open before they showed up and started unloading. The good reviews this company has on Yelp are real. I don't post a lot, but I like to acknowledge service that goes above and beyond, and this is exactly why I'm writing this. What a great experience with this company! From the moment I got in contact with Rachel when I called for a quote to the end of the move with Tito and crew, I can highly recommend them. Rachel was quote helpful with coordinating the move and explaining every detail. Tito and crew were to arrive at 8am although they were there at 7:45 and immediately got to work. All boxes were moved, furniture disassembled and in the blink of an eye the boxes were flying down 3 flights of stairs from the condo and into the truck! The carefully moved everything to the townhouse in no time, they came in under time and under the quote price. No damage to anything! 5 men crew to move a 3 story condo., 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bath. Granted we've been moving little at a time for couple of months, these guys came on time and the job took 4 1/2 hours. Couldn't believe the speed and care they put into packing, disassembling and reassembling at the new location. Amazing job and Tito, the crew leader, was very communicative and really led the crew. I will die before I move again but if I had to, these guys will be the first folks I'd call. One note, spoke to the customer service already, need to check your spam folder for their emails as I was very curious why they were so non-communicative initially but they were, just fell to the spam folder's all.
