    It is with deep sadness that I have to write such a bad review for Ondemand Movers USA. As of today, it has been three months since the movers moved my husband and I into our new place. Upon arrival, I was disappointed to see that the dispatcher sent one less mover than what we agreed on, and a truck that was too small. The movers that we got were kind, strong, and patient, they also moved pretty quickly. I appreciated their service and speed. They called their boss before beginning to move anything to let them know that I thought the truck was too small and they ended up having to take two trips, which they removed the charge from my bill since the dispatcher messed up. That's fine and I appreciated this... the biggest problem came in when one of the movers dropped my dining room table in the hallway of our building, causing significant damage to the wall and to our table. The other mover and I saw him drop the table and cause the damage, so there was no question about the incident happening or who caused the damage. The other mover told me he would document what happened in our file and it would be no problem to get this resolved and that someone from their office would contact me. After almost a month of not hearing from anyone, I started sending emails and no one was getting back to me or my building manager. Then I found their insurance company name on the COI. After filing a claim with their insurance, I finally heard back from Mike, the manager at OnDemand Movers and he made it seem like our building did something wrong by fixing the damages. Buildings do not wait forever to repair something, if your company wants to fix it your way and not be charged what a condo association charges then you actually have to contact us to discuss. After being passed around to their HR/ Claims person and getting ghosted several times, it is three months later and I have still not been reimbursed for my damages. Ordinarily, I try to be more patient with small businesses and support them whenever possible, but this is ridiculous. It does not take three months to reimburse someone for their damages. I've been told that the checks are lost in the mail, then received an offer to get a Zelle and we all know that Zelle is instant but I have not received that either. It's sad to say that I would not recommend this company to anyone.

    Here is my claim I filled out for my $10,795 couch. They paid me $90!!! This company is a joke!

    I paid this company $1,500 to move my 2 bedroom apartment about a mile away. The actual cost of moving was more like $12,000. They completely ruined my $9,000 Restoration Hardware couch. There was a giant hole in it and several parts of it were completely black. I had to go to Restoration Hardware and order a new $9,000 couch to replace the one they ruined. They told me that their insurance would cover the damages. 5 months later I receive an email saying they're going to mail me a $90 check. That made me livid. They ruined my floors in several spots and messed up my drywall - I'm in a brand new unit. I'm going to have to pay for that when I move out. They also broke one of my computer monitors. In total I'm probably looking at a $12,000 is what I actually paid for this move. Also, after they left I found several pieces of art amongst our things that weren't ours. They must have still had them in the truck from the last move! These guys pay no attention to detail and they don't know what they're doing. I watched the guy pick up my couch by himself and slide it across the hardwood floors. They came back to fix the drywall, but after it dried you can clearly tell it was a hack job, so I'm going to have to pay for that. So if you want your expensive furniture, electronics floors and walls ruined, all for the low price of $12,000, then this is the company for you!

    Scratched my $500 nightstand and offered me $25 as compensation. Left the gas on my grill running. Left items on my balcony. Used my microwave twice and got drinks from my fridge without asking my permission. Would not recommend.

    I booked and paid for a move and they didn't show up on moving day. I've never dealt with such horrible professionalism in my life.

    Team said they were done and asked me to sign them off before finishing the move. I had to move an entire 75 in tv myself after this.

As much as I *love* organizing we were both feeling overwhelmed with the amount of items/smaller awkward space and didn't know where to start. I had never worked with a professional organization company and admittedly had all the nerves. It's a vulnerable process to have someone in your space with your stuff and everything (including us) was treated with care. The organizers were lovely to work with, so knowledgable, and non-judgmental. They made use of items we already had to help us save money, and provided some guidance to maintain the space. More recently I was faced with a complicated project involving many moving parts in a short time-frame (packing/inventory/coordinating delivery) to move some items out of my Dad's home...while he was terminally ill in the hospital. Now living an hour outside of the city and focused on my Dad's care, I had contacted a couple of different companies I found via Google search who were unfortunately unable to help due to the (understandable) time constraints. When one of them suggested calling Mission 2 Organize (having expanded their business far beyond organization in the years since we last used them) I was hopeful, but cautious to get my hopes up. From the moment I spoke to Maria it honestly felt like a huge weight had been lifted off of me. She was kind, compassionate, and worked hard to get me an estimate quickly and line up everything in the time that was needed. The organizers themselves were nothing short of amazing-thoughtful, efficient, thorough, and truly went above and beyond to (literally) lighten my load so I could stay with my Dad. And the thing is, it was no different than years ago when the stakes were lower and the timeframe was a non-issue. That service is a standard for them, not the exception. I will forever be grateful to the M2O team and would highly recommend them for any and all projects-big, small, simple, complex. Thank you M2O!

There was no way we could have unpacked and organized our kitchen and bathrooms over the next few weeks, which is what their team excelled to do in less than a day. Mackenzie was very responsive starting from original quote to appointment day. Because of this they came fully prepared and we feel every minute they used here was optimized to the fullest. It's our first time using this kind of service and Mackenzie, Chloe, Brittany, Mary and Melanie have officially spoiled us for all moves to come. Our home brings us so much joy now.

New City Moving used to be my favorite out of them all in Chicago, but since they were bought out by New Sons, everything is going down the tubes. My recent move job went as follows. Movers showed up 25 minutes late on move day, had the audacity to ask for a tip, over-rode my instruction as to arrival time at the new location and approached the front desk to start unloading before my arrival, after I told them we had the elevator booked at a certain time. Apparently they had a full move after mine, which is something the "old " New City never did, so they were in a rush. I was willing to let all that slide until the next day I noticed that they drilled too far in to my clients dining table while assembling it and cracked the top of it in four areas. Funny how the lead Juan made sure to point out any items while packing that were previously damaged, or scratches on the floor of the new unit when we entered, but neglected to inform me that he busted my clients table right before he left for his next job. oh and for the record, I had tips for each team member on both pack and move day. point is, no one in service should ask for a tip. it's tacky. This company had turned in to a disappointment.,

We turned a pantry that had a rice cooker next to the 4 boxes of baking soda into something that doesn't give me constant anxiety.
