Found Packed through UHaul and thankful I found them! I had never hired movers before and wasn't sure what to expect but David was really helpful walking me through it prior to the move. They were more than on time-- early actually! And picked up the truck for me which I was thankful for (I don't think most people are comfortable driving a 20 foot truck!). They were fast and efficient, for move out and the move in. I needed somewhat last minute help moving from one unit in my building to another unit and the movers were extremely efficient in moving everything in less than 2 hours. They were also very kind and use the extra time we had to unbox and build my large new couch, which saved me a LOT of time. They also took apart my bed frame and put it back together. I've never written a Yelp review before, but I felt compelled to share my experience. I've worked with Packed Moving Solutions twice now. The guys are nice, and they do get the job done in the end. If you're not on a tight timeline, they're friendly, fast, and the pricing is fair. But both times, they were late. The first time, they arrived over 30 minutes late--it wasn't ideal, but I wasn't on a strict schedule. The second time, I was moving from a storage unit to an apartment with a 1.5-hour moving elevator reservation and emphasized repeatedly they needed to arrive by 11:30am. They showed up an hour late. When I expressed concern and stress, David seemed indifferent--more defensive than apologetic ("they're in traffic, these things happen"). In my mind, this should have been planned better. David did show up to provide extra hands, and they rushed to finish and got it done--but I left stressed and unsure what I'll find in the boxes. They said I got a deal, but I paid full price for under 1.5 hours of work. If you need punctuality, I'd look elsewhere. read more

We hired Packed Moving Solutions through Moving Staffers (a nationwide company that contracts with local movers) for our move from Chicago to Upstate New York. We rented a 28-foot trailer through U-Pack and were worried all our stuff wouldn't fit. Crew Lead Kendrick was a magician at stacking all our boxes/furniture to the ceiling of the trailer, filling just about a third of it! There's plenty of room for the few boxes we still need to pack. They even fit in my partner's motorcycle! Crew members Devante and Carlos were friendly and hard-working, wrapping all our furniture quickly and well. Hi! We hired three guys to pack and load our trailer. We have moved from Philadelphia to Florida to Chicago and were getting the trailer loaded for Texas this time. We know exactly how packing and loading works since we have done this in our three past interstate moves. They gave us an estimate of approx $600 from 10:00 am to 5:00pm. We had already packed all clothes, 90% of kitchen, 100%toys and all small items that were not breakable in the boxes and had kept the boxes in the garage. So it all seemed reasonable to ask them to pack our TVs, China and all furniture carefully and load in the trailer. Dan and Kevin came at 11 am(instead of 10:00 am and third guy missing)and said they did not bring packing supplies as we had decided. Their car stopped working as well when they reached our home. They asked to borrow our car but my husband offered to go with them to U-Haul and they got all the packing supplies. Finally they started at noon. They were on the phone talking not just listening to music and went out and sat in the car etc. multiple times. We tried to reach out to David, their team leader(we were told) who said he was on his way and will reach by 2 pm. David arrived at 3:45 pm and said he couldn't find the third guy. We called all the guys together and said that it is 4pm now and only about 10% of the stuff was packed and we were very concerned. David had a pretty bad attitude and was rude about the whole thing. He had a fight with Dan at our home saying they were idling around and not really packing etc. David sat in his car and was on his phone the whole time. He said he is the supervisor and is not expected to actually do the work and only coordinate. Long story short, the three guys walked around and worked extremely slowly. We were paying them hourly. They called more guys from other team at around 9pm and then it became a party for them and they were being very loud in our home. I left at that point and my husband and his friend stayed. They finished, with 5% still remaining for us to pack later at 1:00 am. They charged us $1350. I was still waiting to post the review to see if my stuff was packed nicely and will reach our new home without any scratches etc. When the unloaders came here in Texas, everything was packed horribly. They said it was like booby traps. Our TV screen was broken. Our entry tables' granite was broken in half. I am paying $380 now to get a new one. My office desk from Havertys had its entire wood finish peeled off. My kids' Little tike table was broken. The list is endless. I am shocked by their unprofessionalism and how badly they treated us and our beloved belongings. Below are some of the pics for you to see and decide. They texted and confirmed the day before and provided timely updates on the day of with their arrival. I also had some changes to my order (adding a second box) and it was handled smoothly. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!! I hired this company on 5/5 through Uhaul to load my truck on 5/30 at 8 am. On 5/29 at 10:45 PM yes PM David called to advise me he took a job for 7 am and would not be available until between 10-11 now. At 11:30 I called to ask when they would be arriving as they were still not there. David advised me they were 90 minutes away and were still working on the job. Well 6 hours later he finally arrived, which obviously set our move way late. No apology just started quickly moving my items around and throwing items around. My husband advised him to be careful with our items as he was gonna damage it. His response "I'm a professional I know what I'm doing" my husband told him "Ok but I'm gonna hold you to that" Needless to say multiple items were damaged which was obviously no surprise. They loaded our items and ran out of room so they had a guy literally sitting on top of boxes moving furniture and boxes to try and fit in the front of the truck. Most of the time they were there David was on the phone talking to other customers and setting up jobs. Additionally they had a guy that stood around laughing and making crude jokes and not working. This caused them to go over the time and required me to pay an additional amount. They were smoking at my house and left butts all over my yard which I had to clean up after they left. David at one point advised me if it would be ok if he left because they were late to another job and the customer was getting angry. We also hired the same company to clean the house as this is another service they provide. I advise that you don't hire them for that service either as they did a horrible job and I had to have them come back twice to complete the job. Not to mention David changed the price and added additional fees to that job. Upon arriving to our destination we had multiple pieces of furniture damaged. I contacted David directly and his response was that they were already damaged and it was my fault that I didn't pack them correctly. If I was supposed to do all the work to ensure my furniture was adequately packed then why did I pay over $600 for their service. David offered to give me $100 to get me to leave him alone as he didn't need that energy in his life or business. If you didn't damage it than why am I being offered $100 to leave him alone. That does not even come close to covering an solid oak dining table that is scratched up and a chunk taken out of it. read more

***READ BEFORE BOOKING THIS COMPANY*** This was the absolute worst experience anyone could possibly have. Hired this company to pack up our kitchen and bathrooms through UHAUL before a cross country move. The help showed up late and high. This was supposed to be a pack and load, and thank gosh it was only a pack due to plan changes. Three men that showed up - the first two were 15 minutes late - and the third (TEAM LEAD) was 30 minutes late - but he brought burritos from McDonalds. The first two reeked of weed and the LEAD's eyes were opiate pinhole small. I wish I could post pictures of the bathroom boxes, because the hand just threw everything, loose into one medium box. Toilet tree's, medicine, haircare ... everything, a whole medium box of loose items. As for the kitchen, despite the over $100 in packing materials purchased, no bubble wrap was used. There was cleaning chemicals labeled this side up, and it was the wrong side up (all the chemicals were upside down and spilled). When we received our goods, there was a box with our cast iron pan handle sticking half way out the side. They forgot to pack our silverware drawer and two top cabinets, but remembered to pack a full recycling (trash) bag that was ready for the street, and one of the helpers durag (bandana like head cover) made the trip also. We were in a hurry, so we were not able to check all the cabinets for completion, and I tipped each $20 thinking they did a great job. We felt used and ripped off. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. read more

They are really amazing. They helped the move in, and broke my moving box, my office desk, the bedroom door, and bedroom hand wood floor. And after all the mess, the mover said "I don't believe we broke it." Seriously? Given the attitude, I opened a case through moving helpers and then I got a very rude call (he called it was "direct") from the company. He said he called to solve the problem, however, he started with accusing me, saying that I should not open the case, instead I should contact him first. He said if I called him, he might just give me full refund and now he implied that I won't get anything. I indicate that I do not appreciate the threat, and we don't open the case for the refund, we want others to know what we had been through with the company, to warn others not choose them to suffer like us. No wonder they will have five stars review, because they already "deal" with the customer who had bad experience offline. He said the broken part won't even call as broken, that it was my perception issue, not their fault. No wonder they will have that kind of helpers, the people who's running the company is like that, what else should I expect? I hope others won't suffer like we do, moving is already a lot to process, and with them, it's like hell. read more

I don't where to start. Packed Moving Solutions was a life saver. A week ago I've setup for movers to come to moved my items to U Box containers. The first movers had never showed up. I called UHaul and they were able to get me another moving company last minute. I'm very appreciative of the owner pickjng my order and squeezing me in the very next day. These guys were very professional and efficien. They had handled my furniture and item with care. they were able to get all my things in the containers without any hassles. The guys were extremely helpful and always explained what they are doing with each item. The moved was completed within 2 hours. These packers did a horrible job packing half of my things. They packed one half of my things beautifully. They wrapped some of my furniture using blankets and shrink wrap, as I requested. Inexplicably, they left other pieces of wooden furniture, two pieces of expensive upholstered living room furniture, and my flat screen television set completely unprotected. They did not use any of the many extra blankets or shrink wrap that was available to them to protect these items. Because they improperly/negligently packed so many of my things and just loaded them onto the truck, those things became scratched, damaged, dirty, and one piece of furniture upholstery was even ripped. They literally placed my flat screen tv in between 2 couch cushions instead of padding it with blankets and putting shrink wrap around it. And those cushions themselves were not shrink wrapped. They were just put on the truck and covered in boxes. I truly do not know what to make of this. As I stated previously, they did a good job padding and shrink wrapping some of my furniture and pictures. I am just guessing here but I am thinking that they just got tired and wanted the job to end so they stopped protecting my furniture and just loaded it naked onto the truck so the job could be finished and they could get to their next job, which I knew was waiting. They also walked across a sparkling clean, expensive area rug in my bedroom with their dirty shoes. Any competent mover would have rolled the area rug up first thing. They did not. As a result, I'm going to have to pay $200 to get this 100% wool rug professionally cleaned. I spoke to David last Friday as I watched in horror as my truck was unloaded and I saw my damaged items being paraded past me. He did not apologize to me but he did say that he would discuss "compensation" with me for the damage. Since then, radio silence. No response to my texts requesting that he call me to discuss and no response to voice mail message left for him. My renter's insurance doesn't cover this damage so this company needs to either pay me out of pocket or I need to file a claim with their insurance company but I can do neither is the company remains unresponsive. Stay away from this company if you value your belongings. read more

This review is way overdo but better late than never! I used Packed to unload a 16 ft truck into my apartment in December. The guys were professional and very quick! Everything was unloaded in under 2 hours and they even helped me put together my bed and desk with the extra time. I used Packed again in April to move everything out of my apartment and then into a storage unit. I have a lot of stuff and the three guys finished the whole job (load and unload) within 3 hours. I was in a panic trying to move out of my apartment and called UHaul for a last-minute day-of drop off & pick up of a UBox. I found them through my UHaul's "Moving Help" reservation and they were extremely helpful in dropping off the box, showing me how to load it, helping negotiate with my apartment complex that was NOT chill with having a UBox on the property, and picking it up again promptly after I finished loading it. I did not use their services for packing or loading, so I can't speak to those services, BUT I 1000% recommend them, and 10 stars out of 5, for working with me in a panic the day I needed to be out of my apartment. read more

I had a 26 foot truck for a four bedroom house. I had very large furniture. When the movers arrived I asked them to please make sure to get the big stuff. They started with the garage even though i had a great parking spot in front of the house. Garage was easy as I had all boxes stacked. Instead of using hand truck they did it one box at a time.. Needless to say they didn't get all the big stuff (could have moved the small stuff by myself with my hand truck). Charged me double 6 hours instead of 3. Expressed my frustration to their boss and all he did was call me boss about 6 times and say he could give me a mover the next day heavily discounted. $30 an hour instead of $35. Glad I will not have to use them anytime soon. Very disappointing as I chose them due to all the five star reviews. Definitely not a five star experience. Didn't know how to pack a 26 foot truck. Wasted at least an hour deciding what to take and avoiding the big stuff. Good luck if you choose to use them. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Valuable items of mine are MISSING after using this company! In a nut shell, the movers showed up over an hour late. They rushed through the entire job, disregarding how we asked them to load my furniture and boxes into the moving pod. They failed to wrap my furniture in the moving blankets I provided and stacked fragile boxes (which were clearly marked) underneath heavy items. Fastforward one month later - I went to unload my pod to find my wooden furniture marked with deep gashes and my boxes with fragile items completely crushed. If that wasn't bad enough, a large bike box containing my flat screen tv and half of my wardrobe was GONE!! On top of everything, the owner of this company, David, has tried to claim that my boyfriend and I are trying to scam him! Unbelievable! My family and I moved 9/9/2016, I set up the move with Dave the day before. I called him the morning of the move to confirm, the movers were to arrive at 3pm. Victor and his other helper called me around 2:30 stating their GPS arrival time was 3:00-3:15 and promptly arrived at 3:17pm. It was a pleasure to have them help, we had several heavy dressers and we wouldn't have been able to move anything without them. Great business and communication, definitely recommended.
