They did my move in less time than my previous movers and this move involved a 2nd and 3rd floor duplex whereas the other was elevator buildings on both sides. They wrapped everything incredibly thoroughly. These guys are really hard workers and I recommend them highly. Overall they cost about $200 less than my last move. After many years of moving with just my muscles and my voluntold friends, I said enough is enough. We need help. So I looked for movers on Yelp and hired Alamo Movers earlier in the week for a local 1 bedroom (3rd floor with small elevator move) to a two story house. We were greeted with a speedy response on Yelp, quick schedule and overall on-time move. James and Luis came by with a straight truck at 9 AM sharp on the scheduled day and was done right after lunch time. They quickly and efficiently disassembled furniture, wrapped and protected fragile goods such as our glass dining table and dresser and loaded everything into the truck with only the help of a small elevator. We were able to just point and watch. Amazing. They were also both courteous and experts with the whole process. At the final destination, they efficiently unloaded the truck and placed the furniture where we wanted in our new home including some furniture and a huge industrial sewing machine up a flight of stairs. They moved our mattress even though it wasn't supposed to be moved out and didn't move it back. Instead, they left it out in the rain basically ruining the mattress. Also they weren't very accommodative of our requests even when offering extra in addition to their hourly rate of 130. Plus, our wardrobe has paint chips and some damaged wood. They were very well prepared and took great care in moving everything. They were also very ready to help disassemble and assemble all of my larger pieces. The quote I received was also very accurate! So, I had an awesome experience. The rate at the time was 130/hr for three experienced mover men and a truck, as well as padding included, but tape and cellophane wrap was like 30.00. In addition for the travel charge was 130.00. The items I needed moved were commercial size going to a residence. At least 500.00 lbs each minimum Imagine moving eleven bulky refrigerators. Up one flight of stairs. They knew how to negotiate the obstacles, door width, stairwells, corners, low clearance. Dealing with large panes of glass. They did break one pane, but they learned the best way to wrap on that one and did not repeat the error. They had an excellent attitude, despite feeling a little overwhelmed by the sheer magnitude of the massive amounts of weight being moved. They had their doubts (maybe we need to call some more men). However, despite their expertise they were willing to listen and be open to a novice with an unconventional, efficient controlled flipping method on stairs and wrapping glass panes. They got the job done and I'm sure they will be talking about how they even impressed themselves. The furniture appeared pristine. Would definitely recommend. read more

They provided moving blankets, a cover for my queen sized mattress and they were even kind enough to help me position my furniture the exact way I wanted. Just completed an apartment move with these guys and can't say enough about how good they were. First of all, on time to the minute after calling ahead. After quick introductions, they surveyed the job and within minutes were shrink wrapping, blanket wrapping, taping my furniture and carrying some heavy pieces down several flights of stairs in the heat and humidity. Apart from occasionally catching their breath and drinking water, they never broke stride. Next they were all personable guys, and always asking questions about what I wanted. Professional all the way. Unloading was done quickly. After they unwrapped the furniture, I was asked me to check for damages. There were none. 100% satisfied and reasonable rates. Tip them well! The company confirmed the day before and let me know when they were in their way. My moving crew (Luis, James, and Danny) were very professional and efficient. All of my furniture was wrapped in blankets and shrink wrap and nothing was damaged. They followed instructions and placed items where I wanted them. The items being stored in the basement were placed in an orderly and organized fashion so I don't need to reorganize later.
