If you're reading these reviews trying to decide on a mover, CHOOSE FALLEN MOVERS! We've used Fallen Movers for three moves, and each time Mike and his team were professional, quick, and kind. Moving days aren't particularly fun, but they made each of our moves painless. They handled our things with care and even asked us which room to place furniture as they carried it into the new apartment. They have all been so friendly, and we are so glad we've hired Fallen Movers each time. Seriously, they are the best. Mike and team, thank you! read more

Outstanding experience. Mike was very responsive, reasonably priced, flexible in scheduling, great communication, showed up on time and he and Maurice did a great job with the move. Took a lot of care, asked where I wanted things, if I'd like them stacked or not, etc. Really thoughtful. Will use again! read more

These guys were available within a week of when I called. We needed some big pieces (fridge, stove, etc.) moved from the second floor to the first floor of our building and had a bunch of unfortunate angles/doorways to work with. They did an awesome job and were super friendly the whole time. We would definitely call this company again for their moving services. read more

These guys were terrific. They were fast, kind, and also seemed to enjoy their work (as hard as it is). They are good, hard working people. What more could you ask for? Also, the owner Mike Fallen is a person with honesty and integrity. After the move was finished he initially gave me the cost over the phone. As I was about to pay him, he called me at the last minute to tell me that he misjudged the cost and apologized, quoting me a lower cost. Instead of just taking the money he was honest enough to do what was right. You definitely want to work with people with this kind of moral character. I will definitely employ them again in the future. read more

Plain and simple: this team works hard and gets the job done efficiently and respectfully. I had to move during the last week in June, one of the busiest weekends in Chicago for moving due to lease expirations. I contacted over 12 moving companies that were unable to help me with my move. I accepted the fact that I would have to rent a U-Haul and then reached out to Fallen Movers. Mike replied faster than any of the other companies I contacted. He communicated over text message and confirmed the details of the move both prior to and the day of. Mike and his team quickly loaded the U-Haul on one of the hottest days of the Summer. If moving isn't stressful enough by itself, when I climbed into the U-Haul to drive to my new house, it wouldn't start. Mike and his crew immediately sprung into action and started looking for a nearby gas station for jumper cables. As luck would have it, one of my neighbors had cables and Mike used his car to jump the U-Haul. What could have been a brutal setback turned into a small hiccup on an already stressful day. I can't thank Fallen Movers enough for their hard work and professionalism. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for help with a move. read more

These guys were awesome. Their upbeat personalities and hard work really helped ease a stressful situation. They were on time & took great care of our belongings. Will definitely book them again. read more

These dudes are incredible. They're usually booked through UHaul's site, so you can check out their nearly 400 5-star reviews over there: http://www.uhaul.com/MovingHelp/Chicago-IL-60608/fallenmovers Mike and Neil were on-time, super courteous and did a hell of a job. As in, they moved a 250-pound pinball machine down a flight of stairs and across the street with their bare hands. They moved our three bedroom apartment into a truck in about an hour and a half and after a 5-hour drive every single thing in the truck remained exactly where they put it. Super affordable, super chill and super fast. Not a single reason you should be using anyone else in Chicago. read more

I don't really do reviews but had to. First off, I bit off more than I could chew and couldn't finish the move. Same day they rolled up and took care of everything with a smile. Cheesy, I know but totally accurate. All three of them were amazing. They were friendly, funny, grateful and efficient. I would never move again without them. Thanks guys!!! read more

Holy cow! They've done it again. This is the second time I've hired Fallen Movers. And there's a few good reasons for that -- 1- Flexible -- The first time I hired them, I was moving to Chicago from Las Vegas. The timing was questionable because I was moving via U-Haul. While the trip was uneventful, U-Haul is not known for being the most reliable vehicle on the road. Mike and his crew remained in touch with me as I approached and we worked out the timing so no one was sitting around doing nothing. In my most recent move, I was looking for them on movinghelper.com, but couldn't find them. I was disappointed so I made contact with another moving company. They told me there was no way they could fit in my schedule. I had to block time with 2 elevators in 2 different buildings. I didn't have much choice about what time I could move. I dug through my email (I'm a digital packrat) and found Mike's phone number. I called, left a message and the time I needed was mine. 2- Efficient -- These guys know how to pack an elevator and a truck like it's a real life Tetris game. No joke. When I looked at the size of the truck I rented, I thought I was going to have problems getting all my stuff (I'm a physical packrat with over-prepared boxes, too) in the truck with lots of room to spare. When we got to the new place, they were still RUNNING -- literally RUNNING between the truck and elevator. Their energy is limitless. Neil was even doing a few pushups. I was getting tired just watching. :-) 3- Thoughtful -- Mike and Neil were making sure to ask me where things should be placed while ensuring I had enough room to work and get things unpacked. Nothing was dropped, banged, damaged, scratched, scraped or broken. Mike and Neil always listened to things I would point out might be heavier than they look, fragile or a box packed in a way that wasn't balanced. 4- Fairly Priced -- Their work is invaluable. There is no way I could have done this myself or with my friends. While other movers might have been cheaper, I don't think they can match the quality of the work Fallen Movers brings to what has to be EVERY SINGLE job they do. Do yourself a favor -- Hire Fallen Movers for your next moving job. Save your back, save your friends, safe your stress... It's worth every penny they quote you and don't forget to tip generously. P.S. Mike and Neil like Coke and Sprite. :) Have some handy. read more

My girlfriend and I moved cross-country in late July 2014. We rented our own 20 ft. moving truck to drive, but needed movers in Chicago to help us pack it appropriately. Fallen Movers were very responsive and helpful from the time I first contacted them to the completion of the job. They offered me the best rate and service I've received while moving. The guys showed up to our apartment on time and assessed the cargo space in the truck and the furniture/boxes we had to move, before bringing boxes to the truck. Although the loading took a little longer than expected, it was well worth it. The 20 ft. moving truck was packed perfectly. Before leaving, they explained where our items were in the truck and the reason they packed it the way they did. 1,000 miles later, we arrived at our new home with nothing broken. Even after a couple sharp turns, where I ran the truck over a curb and was sure I broke or jostled stuff around in the cargo area, everything was in great condition. Props to this company for delivering great, timely, expertise service. If I were still in Chicago and moving, I would use them in a heartbeat. Highly recommended! read more

I can't recommend Fallen Movers enough! Mike (and Terrence) rescued me after another moving company fell through at the last minute and did an amazing job. 1. They are friendly, polite, and professional. 2. They arrived quickly despite traffic and the last-minute request. 3. They are FAST. They unloaded our 10-12 ft. truck in less than an hour (no small feat because it was packed tight). 4. Nothing was damaged or misplaced. Don't waste your time on another moving company, seriously. I wish I'd hired them in the first place and saved myself a lot of stress. Thanks again, guys! read more

They were so great! They were kind, considerate, and friendly. They were courteous the whole time and stayed positive throughout. We were amazed at how fast they got the move done and how they were able to fit everything into our small truck. It was like watching a game of Tetris. They were very efficient, quick, and so nice! I would look for them again if I had to move again. read more

I hired the guys to help me move things out of 2 U-Boxes at my parents house. The guys were polite, on time, professional, great attitudes, careful, and just great to work with. U-Haul took there sweet time getting my boxes ready for me to take them to my parents house and I had to call Mike to tell them I was running behind by 15 minutes, he said no problem and that they will stay until the job is done. When I got there, they did a walk around to see how to move things in the house and confirmed with my mother where she wanted things. When they started moving things out of the boxes, they actually took their time to take out one box at time, unlike other movers who try to rush the move by stacking boxes on top of boxes just to get the job done, they actually treated my parents stuff like it was their own. They perfectly set up the boxes in the house, were we can access them and were not in the way of other things in the house. They guys were also very, very, very patient with my mother, who kept changing her mind on where to put things and had the guys move the furniture around a few times, until she liked it, and they did it with a smile and made sure she was happy. I would use these guys again in a heartbeat. They are hardworking, honest, and very professional, and their rates are a bargain compared to the service I got from them. Thanks Fallen Movers for making this move, the easiest one I ever did. read more

Admittedly belated review, but a recent poor interaction with another moving company reminded me how much I liked these guys. Found them on hireahelper.com. Fallen movers was friendly and professional, and they did a great job packing up moving pods so that no space was wasted. They were a bit late, which is why I'm not giving five stars. But overall they did a great job. Really appreciated their help on moving day! read more

If you're looking for the best moving company, Fallen Movers is it! Highly professional and courteous staff. The estimate amount and the final amount due we're both fair and accurate. One item did get broken during the move, and Neal was honest and wrote up a report on it. Maurice, Neal and Mike are a great team! read more

Mr. Michael Fallen and I used to work at the same records management company years ago. We connected through fb, and found he has his own moving business. I kept him in mind for when we would be in need. I read a lot of Yelp reviews, and was pleasantly surprised by the star rating score his company received (or not surprised... because Mike is genuinely a really nice guy). We moved this last Friday (07/29/16) from a 3 floor walk up apartment to a 2nd floor unit 35 miles away. Mike and his crew (Neil and Terrence) arrived promptly at 10:30 and went to work. The weather in the morning was HOT! By afternoon, the sky became dark. Right before the storm hit, the crew was able to get everything onto the truck. We made it to our new place, and the torrential rain became a sprinkling. The team was very professional, and tried to work as quickly as the weather would allow. My main concerns during the move were the electronics and artwork. Fallen Movers were able to move all our items carefully and without incident. So I asked Mike how he got such a good rating on Yelp. I mean, it's almost impossible to get a 5 star rating. He told me it all goes back to the records mgmt company we worked for. Besides learning how items could be stacked up like a puzzle, he learned integrity, respect, accountability, and great customer service. I agree. I am very impressed with Fallen Movers, and would use them again. His group of workers are hard working and focused. Thank you, Mike - Neil - Terrence for a job well done! read more

Mike Fallen and his crew were a godsend on our moving day. We requested them to only move our large items and to do it in two hours (in our attempt to save money) and not only did they knock that out of the park, but then we hired them on for another hour to help with our smaller items. They knocked out that job in 1/3 of the time it would have taken us and were also super kind and a pleasure to be around. I would not hesitate for a second to call these guys again for my new move (which hopefully is not for a long, long, long time). Moving sucks, Fallen Movers do not!! read more

The guys of Fallen Movers were kind, efficient and respectful of my furniture and a delight to work with!!!! They went above and beyond to help me wrap and load my belongings into my POD!!!! Very good service. Quick and professional. I would highly recommend Fallen Movers. Thank You again for all your help !

These guys are great. Stop looking and book them now! They were very professional, flexible, and excellent at what they do. I typically try to move myself, but they are worth every penny. We bought a china cabinet from a friend who was moving and failed miserably at moving it ourselves. We needed to get the china cabinet out today because our friends were moving and Fallen Movers was the only company that was willing to be flexible enough to fit this job in to their busy summer schedule (coming in the evening after finishing another job). And we are so happy they did. They moved the china cabinet carefully, but they made it look easy. In addition to being excellent movers, they are also extremely professional. They were right on time, polite, and very conscientious while moving the large cabinet. read more

Maurice and Michael seriously saved our butts tonight. We arrived from Austin, TX around 4:30pm, heart-set on moving things in ourselves. After seeing the narrow staircases, we realized we were over our heads. One quick phone call later and we were scheduled with Fallen Movers for 6:30pm. Maurice and Mike arrived a few minutes early with smiles on their faces. They were polite, efficient, and all around great! I would definitely recommend Fallen Movers! They moved our one bedroom apartment in about one hour. read more

If I could give them 5000 stars I would! My husband and I were exceedingly pleased with the quality of service Mike and Neil provided. 1. They are very friendly and personable! You can tell that both of them are kindhearted and willing to go above and beyond for their customers. 2. They are strong, efficient, and experienced! They are amazing at working fast and making huge objects magically fit through small doors and stairways. Each person could easily carry an object that my husband plus 2 guy friends would struggle to carry. 3. Their price is excellent! They were the best deal I could find after calling about 15 different moving companies. I'm already planning on using their services the next time I move. Thank you so much Mike and Neil for your hard work!! read more

Moving from Ohio to Illinois was a daunting task to say the least. Mike, Maurice and Neal met me at my new apartment and had everything unloaded within an hour. They were efficient, professional and very respectful of my belongings. The price was very reasonable and I would recommend Fallen Movers without a moments hesitation. Good work guys!! read more

Highest Recommendations! These guys are fantastic. Neil and Maurice were professional, courteous, fast, and careful. Neil is a geometric genius - we screwed up and did not rent a big enough truck - Neil found a way to get everything in, safely and did it in less time than quoted. Maurice was great as well - very professional and always thinking about how to get the job done quickly and safely. These are great guys. I hate moving but these guys made it painless. Thank you Neil and Maurice. read more

Mike and Neil are awesome, they helped me move on the first of January during some heavy snow fall in Chicago. I needed a moving crew in a pinch, and these guys were there to help. Very courteous, efficient, and knowledgeable. Thanks guys! read more

I highly recommend Fallen Movers and am incredibly satisfied with the service they provided. Professional, courteous, and all around great guys. I moved during a heavy rain storm, probably the worst weather conditions for a move, and had some big furniture (couch, large wooden dressers, large custom-built wooden bookshelf, and a old antique desk). Even though the conditions were horrible for moving, they finished the job ahead of the estimated time and with no damage. On top of their 10/10 service, the price they charged was more than reasonable. I cannot recommend them enough. If you are comfortable driving a rental truck, these are your guys. read more

My son just moved to Chicago from jersey with a truck load of furniture. We hired men from this company (Maurice, Neil and Mike) who made the unloading so easy. In some ways they were to fast since I wanted to wash floors first. Lol. I would recommend these 3 men. read more

I called these guys in a dead-flat panic because the other moving company I called never showed. Not only did they show up on a Sunday afternoon with just an hour's notice, they also did a fantastic job with the move! They were courteous, honest, quick, and best of all, VERY gentle on my furniture and apartment. No damage whatsoever. These guys take a lot of pride in their work, and I have recommended them to friends and co-workers. I could not have been more pleased with their service. read more

Just got done with a small move with these guys, and it went very smoothly. Due to a small scheduling snafu, we ended up doing the work a little after the planned time, but when it was time to do the work, the guys were friendly and efficient. They were willing to knock off a little of the quoted price since we did the job quicker than planned. Will recommend to friends who are moving in the future. read more

These guys are a group of honest, hard-working, and friendly men. They showed up on time and ready to move. They were fast but delicate, making sure not to damage anything...true professionals! Unfortunately, the truck was too small and the obstacle of trying to puzzle together too many pieces into too small of a box added time to the job. They were reasonable, flexible, and made sure we walked away happy with the price, happy with the truck, and most of all happy with them. We will definitely be using Fallon movers again! read more

I would highly recommend Fallen Movers for anyone looking for reasonably priced, professional and respectful movers. Mike and Remington moved furniture and boxes into a POD and other pieces from our first floor to the second floor in preparation for a major home remodeling project.
