    This is the second time I've used Jay movers - the first time was a Chicago move and they were so efficient and helpful- they moved everything from 2 different apartments into a 3rd floor apartment - these men are STRONG! The second time I moved to Naperville and they came all the way out to the suburbs to help me move Jose, Armando and Emmanuel moved me out of my 2 bedroom in 2.5 HOURS including travel from one apartment to the next! They were SO FAST and so kind! They also ensured my items were wrapped up and ready to go. They even placed my items/furniture in whatever room I wanted and in the specific spot I requested. Aside from the blissful moving experience itself, BK Lewis is so kind, helpful, and thorough with scheduling. Overall 15/10 experience working with Jay Movers. They are the best!

    These guys were great! Had them move an upright piano up one level. Easy to schedule, on time, efficient and 100% professional. Piano looks awesome in it new location. Highly recommend!

    I don't write Yelp reviews, but this poor customer service must be shared. Save yourself the stress. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Note I used Jay mover for 4 previous moves and the lack of customer service, and l this terrible experience was so disappointing that I will NEVER use them again and will be sure to tell everyone how poor their service is. BROUGHT A TRUCK THAT WAS TOO SMALL AND REFUSED TO GET A BIGGER ONE -They arrived with a truck that was too small for the amount of items in our apartment. One driver, the most senior, suggested going back to get a larger truck. The other two movers refused saying "they worked a 50 hour week, and wanted a short day". All of the items did not fit and I have a small vans worth of items left in my old apartment. WENT TO THE WRONG ADDRESS - the driver didn't want to used his GPS and despite having the correct information went to the wrong apartment for the final stop. BROKE A $200 LAMP and MIRROR - was told two different stories about how it happened. DIDNT WANT TO REASSEMBLE ITEMS THEY TOOK APART - we were asked several times if we were "good" regarding reassembling our dining room table and bed which they took apart at our old apartment. SHOWED UP WITHOUT ADEQUATE TOOLS- How??? They didn't have a range of tools to take apart my bed and table. As I mentioned I have used Jay for 4 other moved and have had the same table. Never once had a problem. TWO DRIVERS STOPPED WORKING THE LAST 30 MINUTES OF THE MOVE- leaving one man to put together the bed. The table was unfinished because the tools they borrowed from my husband were part of the items that were left behind at the old apartment. My husband had to put the table together once they left. The two drivers sat in the car and didn't help at all. GOT INTO AN ARGUMENT REGARDING TIP - one mover remained upstairs in the move during the last 30 minutes. We gave him 20% for gratuity and told him to split it in whatever way they saw fit. We needed to get more cash to pay our balance (which was 325 additional dollars on top of 411 dollars) and had them follow us. Upon getting to the ATM, the mover who stopped working jumped out of the truck and got in my husbands face asking why they didn't get a tip! The one guy lied and now we're we're roped into their drama in the middle of a Walgreens parking lot! Literally a nightmare!! OWNER LIES ABOUT CUSTOMERS COMING FIRST- on their website owner Jay says that customer service is their priority. LIES! As a very loyal customer when I shared all of the details of this unprofessional and stressful move, the least he could do was comp the service of getting our remaining items. He refused to do anything to accommodate our belongings but wanted us to book another crew for 260 more!!! Outrageous Save yourself the stress. I will never ever use them again.

    He did a good job! He cut the lawn, pulled weeds and trimmed. Everything was cleaned up well and removed.

    Excellent communication, received several confirmation texts and movers called when they were 15…read moremin away. Showed up on time, were friendly and professional. The only thing I believe could be made more clear was that there is a high transportion cost on top of what you pay for the actual move time which is for their time to drive to your location and back. My move came out to exactly 3 hours which was the estimate but that did not factor in the $100 transportation fee which I feel is excessive and should just be factored into the estimate.

Just to start with the experience itself was really slow and it was explained to my sister that there would be three movers and only two showed up. The process was slow and I felt frustrated - and based on interactions with the individuals assigned to my specific job- I am not quite sure exactly what was the point of hiring movers. It took the movers from around 9:30 to 2:30 to pack a full truck. I would describe the demeor of the two men as slap happy or almost unprofessional- it felt that you were always almost being laughed at or condescended. It almost seemed the two men were deliberately taking there time to add hours on the clock and pay. If that wasn't enough- here are a few main events that were alarming- - while at my old apartment, the movers literally asked me how/to help move the couch down the outdoor stairwell. I don't want to gripe or be a snot, but kinda thought- this is exactly why professional movers were hired...... - the second thing- getting into my new place- when the men came to my lobby, when they came to my lobby- I was literally asked- can we just leave the stuff in the lobby? Just sheer lazyness for a lack of better term- I was just absolutely appalled by the sheer lack of professionalism and wondered what thought process did the movers have ? Are they aware of their assigned job description or why they are hired for? The last offense- I gave them the keys to get in my new apartment before dropping my sisters things off at her new apartment half a mile away and of course they didn't give me back my key- and my parents had to go help me get it from them, and apparently they thought it was funny. Worse - my Dad wrote a complaint and they called my sister, harassing her- to remove it? Like excuse my language but if you want good reviews- make sure your employees are taking it seriously and not doing a half ass job? Don't harass my sister because your employees can't get it together. Completely embarrassing- like how do you own a company- look at the past couple of weeks and have multiple one star reviews and not feel embarrassed or ? I am glad to know it wasn't just me and my sister. In addition despite a completely unacceptable experience- barely anything was offered back. Please, please- please do not hire this company they do not give a single crap about the experience provided- they just want you money at the end of the day and good reviews without actually delivering. I hope this review helps people choose another company the other reviews too- showing moveman that's fine if they don't care but actions have consequences. *I am pretty sure I noticed a few reviews- not sure- of the day I moved that were one star within the same week but those are gone. I am going to guess that others were intimidated to remove the poor reviews- showing the 4.9 stars grossly inaccurate- what I suspected.

    DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY…read more My experience with College HUNKS was incredibly disappointing. I was quoted between $873 and $1,261 for my move, and that estimate included packing my kitchen. To help keep costs down, I packed my entire kitchen myself before moving day. Despite reducing the scope of work, my final bill was approximately $1,900--over 50% higher than the high end of the estimate. What was particularly concerning was that members of the moving crew acknowledged that estimates are often underestimated. Had I known the actual cost would be anywhere near $1,900, I would have chosen a different moving company. To make matters worse, several of my belongings were damaged and some items went missing during the move. While I understand that accidents can happen, what is unacceptable is how the situation was handled afterward. I promptly documented the damage, provided photographs and supporting information, and made multiple attempts to resolve the matter directly and in good faith. Despite repeated follow-ups, I have received no meaningful response regarding my claim. A moving company should stand behind its work, communicate with customers, and take responsibility when issues arise. Instead, I was left with damaged property, missing items, a bill far higher than expected, and no resolution. If you are considering this company, be aware that your final bill may be significantly higher than your estimate, and if something goes wrong, you may have difficulty getting a response.
