I had to book last minute due to another company cancelling last minute. It took 5 minutes to get a quote. They do not surge price or take advantage of desperate customers. Management and sales staff were incredibly kind and prompt. Movers showed up on time and worked efficiently. I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience and appreciate them helping me in my moment of need. Good people all around. read more

I recently used Windy City Movers to move my expensive furnitures and befrom Los Angeles to Chicago, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. At first, I was honestly pretty anxious about trusting a company with my belongings, especially since some of my furniture is valuable. But as soon as I saw how carefully they wrapped everything--with thick blankets, secure padding, and proper protection--I started to feel confident that my items were in good hands. The team was very professional, communicative, and easy to work with throughout the entire process. They kept me updated, answered my questions, and handled everything with care. On top of that, their pricing felt fair and reasonable for the quality of service they provided. What really stood out was how efficient and fast they were without ever being careless. Everything arrived safely, exactly how it left. If you're looking for reliable and professional movers, I highly recommend Windy City Movers. read more

Windy City Movers were so helpful with our move from Lincoln Park to Wicker Park ! They were there on time and were efficient with their time while loading and unloading. They held our things overnight in a secured location and everything was accounted for. Very friendly and responsive by phone/text on day of the move. Specifically Armendo, Otgoo, and Bayackhuu were extremely helpful and I would recommend this moving company to anyone! read more

I can't recommend Windy City Movers enough! I have a lot of fragile belongings, and the team made sure to handle each and every one of my items with caution and care. They were extremely responsive and were very efficient! Every team member I interacted with, especially Dash, was very attentive and helpful. Because moving is oftentimes a labor intensive and time sensitive job, I had my concerns, but after seeing the job that Windy City Movers did, I don't have any more concerns. The pricing was also very reasonable. I will absolutely be recommending them to all my friends and family if they need to get moved! read more

Windy City Movers assisted with my local move within Chicago. Lou and Riccardo were incredibly communicative and great to work with. I appreciated their customer service, and when I ended up having more bags and boxes than initially estimated, their price did not increase given it is an hourly rate. After collecting many quotes across Chicago, their price was one of the most reasonable. I would recommend. read more

Marco and his crew did a great job on a complex, multi-destination move. They overcame obstacles and always said yes to whatever we asked. The crew was very easy to work with in a stressful situation and had a great attitude and work ethic. The sales and service staff, including Josh and Dash, also did a great job before and during the move to get things organized. read more

My brother recommended Windy City Movers after his whole apartment move out of state. So I hired them to empty and move my storage locker to my apartment. I got lucky as my team was Ricardo, Lou, and Bayarkhuu. These three guys were not only power horses but friendly and nice. But mainly incredible. My belongings are stupid heavy. Stone slabs and heavy well built antiques. Ricardo, Lou, and Bayarkhuu were fantastic with all. The entire thing was still done in the estimated time and on budget. Superior service at an incredible price. What more could you want in movers? read more

Extremely disappointed with this shipping company and would not recommend them to anyone moving valuable furniture or household items. Multiple items were damaged due to careless handling and lack of proper protection during transport, resulting in approximately $500 worth of damage. The treadmill was placed on its side during wrapping/unwrapping, which crushed the plastic hinges on the cover under the unit's own weight. Two acacia wood drawers were also damaged after being loaded into the truck without any wrapping or protective padding. In addition, part of the bottom section of an IKEA dresser was torn off, leaving roughly a 2-square-inch area damaged. After waiting 4 months, the company owner offered only about $90 in compensation. Rather than accept that, I'd rather make others aware of this experience. When you hire movers/shippers, you expect them to protect your belongings, not damage them through negligence. Save yourself the stress and headaches and stay away from this company. read more

They provided me with two movers and a large moving van. The two men that helped with the move were very friendly, professional and very proficient. They arrived earlier than planned (which I think is amazing) and they finished in great time! Highly recommend. Oh and I forgot to mention I called scheduled my move with them the night before and they came to move my things the next morning. Can't say enough great things about this moving company. read more

Windy City Movers - After move - Movers Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

We used Windy City Movers for an out of state move to SW Michigan and couldn't have been more pleased. Dash, the owner, took a personal interest in estimating the move's cost, and working with us to coordinate activities. They crew they sent was professional, and did a super job packing and unpacking our belongings and furniture. They moved both our condo and a number of items in our storage locker. Not a single item was broken or damaged, something that can't be said for other movers I've worked with. The cost was very reasonable for a move this complex and significantly below cost we were quoted by other moving companies with five star reviews. Highly Recommended read more

The team did a great job - they were on time, communicated well and provided excellent service! Would recommend them for future moves.

Windy City Movers was so amazing to work with. We decided to hire 3 of their movers to load our PODS container in South Loop. The move was done so efficiently and all 3 movers were friendly and willing to assist with whatever we needed. They were also incredibly quick to respond when we had questions. Our PODS container was shipped to CA and let me tell you, nothing budged and remained perfectly packaged. It seemed like the items had just been moved, not driven cross country over a few weeks. Nothing broke and everything was packaged to perfection and efficiently packed up. Given how professional and great they were, I will recommend them to all of our friends who are looking for movers in the Chicagoland area. If we move again, will definitely contact them. If you're looking for a mover, look no further, Windy City Movers is such an affordable and amazing find! 10/10 recommend, you won't regret it! read more

The movers did a great job! I have use them for two moves and will use them for a third.

This is the third time using Windy City Movers and I can't say enough good things about them. These guys hustle. I used their packaging services and still can't believe how fast, efficient, courteous, and professional they are. I use them exclusively for all my moving needs. read more

This was my first time using professional movers and I was blown away. They were happy to answer my questions over the phone and let me think it over before booking. I was so nervous to pick a company as it seemed like every Yelp page had such a wide range of reviews, and I didn't want to spend money on a horrible and stressful experience. However, my boyfriend had used this company in the past with success so I took the leap of faith and I'm so glad I did! I was given a 12-12:30pm arrival time for my team of 2 movers (small move), and around 12:15 I hadn't heard they were on their way. When I called, they were immediately on top of it and sent me the next available crew so that I'd be able to move out within the elevator reservations I had made. The movers were super efficient and polite, and made the other team moving a different resident into my building look like amateurs. I felt lucky that I had hired Windy City Movers and would definitely hire them again. read more

Great experience with Windy City Movers! The price was extremely reasonable, and the customer service was great. Movers were very professional and quick! Handled our stairs with ease. Would recommend for any moves!

Thank you for such a wonderful experience with our move! Carlos and his team were professional, friendly, hardworking and FAST! They made what is otherwise a very stressful day, pleasant. We couldn't be more happy. I just wanted to let you know that we were beyond impressed. Hopefully we are not moving again for a very long time, but when/if we do, we will be calling Windy City Moving! read more

Windy City Movers was an amazing choice for my move. My movers were very kind and went above and beyond with taking care of my move. They even took stuff I had properly packed / wasn't in boxes (I was worried I would have to take it myself later). They worked incredibly hard going up and down my 3 story stairs in my new apartment. Took apart and then put together furniture. And kept a great attitude throughout it all. The price felt fair for the amount of stuff, time (4-5 hrs) and effort it took. I appreciated their work so much. Thank you! read more

I had to coordinate a move between four locations: my old place, my new place, a family member's place, and the garbage. It was convoluted and stressful and a logistical nightmare. The crew that came to help was on point with it all. They worked out the logistics, they handled everything with care, they did it all quickly, and they did it for a price comparable to any of the other bids I'd received. I would recommend them to anyone who asked! read more

A family member used Windy city Movers and recommended them. Working with Windy City Movers has been an absolute pleasure. Their employees, from those in customer service to the movers are extremely professional, reliable and friendly. Setting up the appointments was painless, and the office was quick to respond and follow-up, when needed. We were refinishing our floors and needed furniture and packed boxes moved around the house, which required three separate visits. Our movers, Ricardo, Felix and Jamie are amazing. They are very hard workers and customer satisfaction is very important to them. They understood what needed to be done during each phase and required very little assistance from us. They were quick but very respectful of our belongings and home. We were so pleased with the first visit that we didn't hesitate to use Windy City Movers and request Ricardo, Felix and Jamie for the remaining visits. We highly recommend them and will use them in the future. read more

Oh my, I will never, never, ever use anyone else. I have moved 3 times in the last 3 years and each time they have been awesome! They were fast, courteous, and hardworking. I did not have to do anything. They moved everything. I did not lift a finger. I tell you these guys were awesome. I've requested the same crew all 3 moves. Dash the owner was fantastic and even remembered me from the previous times and what my special request were. The price was reasonable and well worth every penny. I am happy to say they made moving stress free. read more

These guys were fantastic. They quoted me for 5 hours and finished in 4, so I paid less than I was quoted. We had a lot of heavy stuff and they moved it to the third floor efficiently and with care. They disassembled and reassembled our bed frame in minutes. Highly recommend! read more

Really like these movers. I've used them a few times and they're always on time, quick, and nice guys. These are the only movers I use in Chicago 10. Because they're quick, I also think they're great value. read more

Windy City helped us with a flawless move into a condo. Booking was easy and price is reasonable. Punctual and efficient staff. They brought all needed supplies and wrapped items for protection. These guys came through for me in a last minute crisis. My original movers cancelled on me an hour and a half before my move. I called Windy City up and they said they could help me that very same day. They came within 3 hours from Chicago to the suburbs to help me move from another move. They showed up with 3 very efficient and nice guys. They were fast and got it done in less than 3 hours. They even disassembled and reassembled my bed, wrapped my large stand mirror and other furniture. I will definitely use their services again for my next move. Would give them 10 stars if I could. Also, they gave me a very reasonable price for a last min move. They were actually the best overall and didn't charge a ridiculous rate for extra materials. Giving a shoutout to Ricardo, Lou, and Oako. Thank you, thank you!! Best movers ever and you came through for me in a time of need. I will definitely recommend them to anyone who ask me for a good moving company! read more

It was two moves on two different days actually one from a storage facility and the other from the apartment. It should not have taken long from storage but it took them 3 hours to get to my condo which I do not understand. I had left them thinking why should I stay it was really basic. Also, things were missing so someone stole some stuff. Most things in the unit were books but none of the kitchen stuff made it. I hope they enjoy them! The other move wasn't that bad it was over $800 with hardly anything to move. The head guy had a serious attitude. I was charged for them taking a break because it rained. I will never use them again. read more

Wow! I honestly can't say enough about John, Carl, and Danny from Windy City Movers who just completed my move! They were on time (early, even) and got to work right away. I live on the top floor of a walk up that exhausts me even after I've lived here for 13 years, but they handled it like the pros they are. They were all very friendly, showed amazing feats of strength, and were VERY good at maximizing the space in my truck. I have a 1 bedroom apartment, but had a lot of furniture pieces, so I got a 26' truck. Even though we didn't fill it up, I think it was the right decision because they were able to pack things in there and stand them up instead of laying them flat, which took up less room. It's always better to have more room than not enough. It took the 3 guys almost exactly 4 hours (I KNOW it would've taken less time if they didn't have to deal with the stairs) and they were well worth every penny! They were careful with all of my things and with the building, during the move. I highly recommend Windy City Moving for your moving needs! read more

Windy City Movers has a lot of experience. Both in the office and the miracle workers, aka movers. Ed, the owner, is a great guy. From what I can remember, he's been doing the moving business almost all his life. If you have any questions, just call the office, and im positive they got an answer for any questions you may have. My experience with this company is that I used to work for them a few years ago. I'd like to say it was the best time of my life. The job was great, but I had some personal issues that required me to step away from my position at this great company.. Keep up the good work, windy city movers read more

Windy city's movers did a great job moving us out of the place they moved us into 7 years ago! Carl, John and Mike were great.
