I received a message from Andrew after I requested quotes from several other moving companies. I admit I was nervous because they didn't have any other reviews, but after talking to one of the movers, he said that they were a new company. I ultimately chose them because they were among the least expensive from the quotes I received and they were available for my somewhat last minute move-in day. For reference, I was moving a few boxes, suitcases, a bed and box spring, TV, and a few unopened furniture and appliance pieces from a bedroom to a studio apartment, which made it hard to justify spending the $700-900 according to quotes I'd received from other companies. After communicating through Yelp, I emailed with another associate, Alex, directly to continue with the booking process. He again confirmed the hourly rate and travel fee and what would be included in the move before asking me to send a small deposit to secure my reservation. The day before my move, I received a text reminding me about their estimated arrival window. My two movers were Bart and Pedro. They arrived in a medium sized truck well within the window that I was scheduled for, and they called to confirm the address when they were about 20 minutes out. Once there, they quickly and carefully loaded my boxes and belongings into the truck. I also have to give them huge props for keeping a cheerful attitude when they needed to move me during this surprise heatwave in the beginning of May. Before departing, they again confirmed the address to the destination and I drove ahead to meet them. They arrived a few minutes after I did and quickly got to work unloading the truck. Since my building had a secure entry, they first unloaded everything into the lobby before bringing it up one flight into the unit. I can't praise them enough for their kind and respectful demeanors and efficiency. Once everything was in the unit, they asked me to double check the truck to ensure my belongings were all unloaded and gave me the final bill which matched the initial quote I was given. Bear in mind that with the low rate I was quoted, especially compared to the bigger names I've seen around town, I wasn't expecting a super fancy operation, but from start to finish, and especially Bart and Pedro, they exhibited professionalism and completed the task well. They made what could've been a stressful situation very easy and cost-effective and I would hire them again for my next move. Huge thanks to the Precision Movers team! read more

I've booked Precision movers last week to move my 2 bed apartment and also make a quick stop at another location (very close to the original) to pick up a few items. Had an excellent experience with scheduling the move. The crew was on time, was very solid on the plan of execution. The team was communicative. Very impressed with how the crew navigated tight apartment spaces. Giovany (the Tetris master) made sure that everything fit perfectly into the truck. I also must mention that the second location had multiple stairs and the crew had to operate in a 95F heat! All 3 movers were agile, did not dabble around, were very respectful of my time. On top of it had a super positive attitude. I had to tell them to slow down and remember to hydrate and take a breather. From what I understand this is a new company yet with previous moving experience. All my furniture was blanket wrapped. No damages. With this move, I did expect unanticipated issues and I was proved wrong. Everything went perfectly. Alex and the crew has shown here. All were readily available by phone and text. The crew was amazing. Moving forward I am confident that Precision movers will maintain a culture of accountability and a desire to do the job right. I will definitely book Precision movers again. Thank you. read more

I called at 1030 pm in a time crunch due to my buddies not having availability to help me move , they responded within in a few minutes accommodating my move the next morning at 9am. They sent 2 movers and me saying I was mind blown , is an understatement . These two guys worked way better than myself and 6 buddies to move the same amount of stuff 3 weeks prior. I had to make 2 trips with my 20ft uhaul , they moved everything in one trip using a 15 foot truck. They were respectful, good sense of humor / enthusiastic , and made the move so seamless and effortless and fast ! They were extremely careful with everything. I randomly came across this company that night before the move and I will be using them again if I ever move / recommend them to all my friends / co workers / family. For the value and time convenience , it is beyond worth it ! Thank you guys ! read more

I had a wonderful experience using Alamo Movers. Getting a quote, and scheduling the move was very easy and quick. This was my first time using a moving company and had many questions and Andrew was quick to respond and provided detailed instructions. Gilbert, Javier, and Danny were on time, efficient, professional and handled our belongings with care. The entire process went so smooth. They were very accommodating and friendly. They wrapped all our furniture and stored them properly. When it was time to move everything out of our 10x20 storage unit to our new home, there was not a single damage. They moved everything into the new home quickly and assisted in assembly of furniture. All our belongings are in great condition. I highly recommend this moving company, we had such a great experience. They definitely helped ease the stress of moving! read more

Alamo was one of the best moving companies I have ever worked with. The team was organized, informative, professional, and overall some of the friendliest most helpful individuals. Moving can be so stressful, and these guys really helped us feel at ease and taken care of on the big day. Antonio's coordination was detail oriented, making sure all our most prized belongings were well protected, and his team asked US a lot of questions, making sure that they were moving things exactly where and how we wanted, sometimes even making more work for themselves by going above and beyond. This stood out the most to me. WOW, is all I can say. My husband and I both were blown away, thank you to the team of Antonio, Javier, Lee, and Franklin for absolutely killing it! :D What a deal of a service for a great price. read more

I used this company a couple of weeks ago on 3/31 to move my 2 bedroom apartment in Chicago. I had a last minute move and the company I usually use was booked given it was the end of the month. They recommended Precision Movers and said a former employee started their own company and guaranteed they would be the next best option for me. With a little bit of hesitation I went on and booked the date with them. On move day Alex and Gilbert showed up on time and started working right away. They were very quick and efficient with wrapping all of my furniture and making sure they moved items where they needed to go. The booking process was simple and pricing was very reasonable. Overall it was one of the best moving experiences and would recommend them to anyone moving this summer. read more

Could not recommend Precision Movers more. Had to move out Saturday, plans fell through and we had to hire new movers less than 48 hours in advance. Super fast and responsive service even after their posted work hours they were able to schedule us. Day of moving, three guys showed up right on time and were unbelievably fast at packing our boxes and furniture. Personable guys who were easy to communicate with for where stuff needed to go at the new house. Came with furniture wraps and were able to take apart my desk in minutes. Everything was protected and we had no damages to our belongings. Whole process was seamless and pain free for our moving day. Will definitely use them again next time we move. Thanks Donny and Gilberto! (I hope I got your names right!) read more

I recently moved using Alamo movers and I must say they are absolutely incredible! I've moved multiple times the past few years. I called a BUNCH of places in Chicago for quotes and read a ton of reviews before finally booking with Alamo. And let me say I'm so glad I did! They made the move so easy, Andrew is great and talked me through all my questions and concerns. They day of the move we had an incredible team of 3 guys (Mark, Antonio and Gio) they moved fast, efficient and were wonderful! From other moving companies I was quoted 6 hours and they knocked it out in 4.5! These guys are the best and I can't recommend them enough. If you are on the fence - book them. You will not be disappointed. Best movers! read more

It ended up costing a few hundred dollars more than I expected but it wasn't because these guys didn't work. Gilberto, Luis and Danny arrived in the expected time frame and for the next 9 hours took great pains to pad and wrap all of my furniture. They disassembled and reassembled everything to a tee. They were very courteous, considerate and communicative. They let me know what they were up to every step of the way. I waited to write my review because I wanted to see the condition of my boxed items. Not a single thing was broken or damaged. This was not the case with my previous moving company. After all is said and done, I would definitely use Alamo again. Thanks for the great service! read more

Couldn't be happier with my experience with Precision Movers. Used these guys last week to move out of my apartment and my roommate out of her previous home into our new 3 bedroom apartment. Based on our quote, they got back to us super quick, arrived with more than enough tape, plastic wrap, blankets, etc. and the pricing was incredibly reasonable. The 2 man crew arrived on time, were quick, but efficient, and enjoyable to work with. Also, with my roommate and I being females, they were super helpful and careful in rearranging our items. Overall throughout the entire move - this company was great in communicating, respectful of our items, friendly and professional. You won't be disappointed :) read more

Great service! Great price! After checking with a few different movers, I got a quote from Precision Movers that was beyond belief, but, nonetheless, true! The guys showed up on time, were efficient, respectful and extremely helpful. My friend, who was with me on my moving day, was even impressed. They even helped me with the little stuff I had in my car. Everything was handled with care & expertise. And did I mention the price? Great price! No hidden fees, no bait & switch, everything is just as they quote you. They are a small business, but we need to help our small businesses, right? Go with Precision Movers. You won't regret it! read more

Incredible experience with Alamo Movers! Antonio, Danny, and Mark were nothing short of fantastic. My girlfriend and I were merging our two 1-bedroom apartments into a new place, and these guys made the transition seamless. They were incredibly efficient. I really don't think they could have moved any faster. They took great care of our belongings, wrapping almost everything to ensure it was protected. On top of being super professional, they were also really friendly and a pleasure to work with. We're definitely keeping their number for the future and would recommend them to anyone needing reliable and efficient movers. read more

A friend recommended Alamo Movers to us and raved about their professionalism and excellent value. They did not just meet our initial expectations, but blew them away. We got Sam, Gilbert, and Danny and they were a joy to work with. We accidentally underestimated the amount of boxes and items to be moved, and they handled the extra work quickly, with extreme care to our property, and with a great attitude (and sense of humor). We would recommend them to anyone who is moving and would use them again in a heartbeat! 10/10 for value, service, and professionalism. read more

I had the pleasure of working with Luis, Carlos & Danny and they are some of the most hardworking and high quality movers I have ever hired. They go above and beyond! The company responds incredibly quick, and this was the most reasonably priced moving company I have ever seen. I cannot say enough good things about these gentlemen. 100% recommend. I reached out to Precision Movers because they came highly recommended from a friend who had recently used them. Josh and Dex showed up on time and did not waste any. They were organized and motivated. They moved quickly and helped take apart some of my furniture that I had struggled with. They also put it all back together when we arrived. They were extremely polite and made a very dreadful process bearable. I recommend them to anyone and everyone who is moving in Chicago. Thank you Josh and Dex! read more
