They sell one thing here its Korean Family Restaurant Style Donkatsu. Theres cream soup to start and then a platter w donkatsu plus sides like veggies, corns, rice. The food comes out super fast and is really delicious and nostalgic. The only downside is it was fairly cold in the restaurant.

This place has only one item on the menu which means they do it well! Large fried pork cutlets served with a delicious savory and sweet demi glaze sauce and an array of sides, including a classic Korean cream soup, corn, beans, cabbage salad with cucumbers, and rice. Really homey and perfect if you're looking for a quick meal in/out!

Ordered it for takeout for my husband's dinner. He loves donkatsu. Considering this is the one and only item on the menu and costs $20, I was expecting at least a healthy portion of food and katsu. I was also expecting the katsu to taste at least per the usual from any other restaurant. When we opened the container, there were 2 baby scoops of rice, the meat portion was half of what we normally get when we order katsu at a restaurant. It was nothing spectacular and no wow factor. We were both really disappointed. The only "good" thing abt it was the sauce was on the side and came in a plastic little bottle that you can store the extra sauce in. I wouldn't spend $20 for their dish here. I can get something double its size and much tastier for a little over half that price.

Our first time here was just as I had anticipated - effortless. Sure, I wish the price had stopped creeping (sitting currently at $20.14 including tax), but a pork katsu like this is hard to come by and, for me, this is what I pay for. The authentic touches include the cream soup, what I'm convinced is a homemade katsu sauce, baked beans, and sweet corn. Service is quick and efficient, and I'm sure having only one thing on the menu helps a lot with this. I'd go back...of course.

Coming back here after nearly a decade and I can say nothing has really changed except the price here. I always get super excited when I see these restaurants with one item only since chances are the owner usually has perfected or elevated the item somehow, this place is especially disappointing since it does neither, showcases a fairly average to almost mediocre katsu, yet charges an almost obscene price for them. But maybe I'm just drinking too much haterade on this one, they've survived for this long for a reason right? I just can't figure out why.

This is a family-owned restaurant that specializes in pork cutlets. You first get served with some creamy soup (tastes better with some pepper) and soon after your plate of korean pork cutlet will come out. The plate includes a variety of side dishes and I like how you're not just getting rice and pork cutlet. You can ask for more picked radish if you want, but they do give in smaller portions to make sure you don't leave any leftovers. The portion sizes of the pork cutlets are pretty big, as my friend and I could not finish them all. Note: they prefer cash!!

I crave Yedon every few weeks and really enjoy their donkatsu and soup that it comes with. Their spicy diced radish kimchi I like a lot too, goes well with the donkatsu. I love how thin it is- it's easier to eat, not overly fried- I prefer thin donkatsu over thick ones. Home made sauce is 10/10. I always order extra mini rice cakes on the side bc it's yummy. Price increase comes with inflation right? So I'm paying for what I get and have no regret :) it's a small family owned restaurant and I support them!

Great Katsu restaurant in Bayside. Whenever we crave Katsu we come to this place because they specialize in it, and actually they only sell Katsu so it's easy to decide! I enjoy the taste and texture and the side dishes. They provide a good amount of food and I often have leftovers. Located conveniently on Northern Blvd. The only thing is that the price has steadily increased, while the portion has gotten smaller. Nowadays it's pretty pricey at almost $18 per order and not as worth it anymore. And remember, cash only.

YeDon Donkatsu is a small-family owned restaurant has one item on their menu. Can you guess what it is? Donkatsu! Each plate comes with 2 pork cutlets, rice, rice cake, beans, corn, pickled radish, salad, and a slice of orange. If you want extra items/portions, there will be an additional charge (about $1.50 unless you want extra meat, which is an additional $6 when I visited). You also get served soup prior to getting your meal. Shake some black pepper in it and drink it up! The pork cutlet is on the thinner side when you compare it to other restaurants, but their sauce is delicious! I only wish I had a bit more extra sides (like the rice cake and beans). When I order donkatsu from other restaurants, rice cakes and beans are not included so that was definitely a nice surprise! Many places usually include a salad, fruit, and corn. The meal was ready quickly and the family who runs this restaurant is friendly. Would I come back again? Sure will!

Food tasted average honestly and seemed low effort for the price I pay. Price is on the high side with tax you are looking at 20 cash per person. The amount of rice was small and the meat was skinny and dry instead of juicy and tender. The side dishes were meh.

This place is well-known for their one dish consisting of 2 pork katsu, and sides of veggies, corn and beans, fried rice cake, and a slice of orange. This is a nice meal when you cannot decide on what to eat on a cold day, and want something home-y. Also comes with a simple white chowder as appetizer. Make sure to get the inside seats since it could get a bit chilly to eat in the restaurant!

Best tonkatsu in NY! It's a small, apparently family owned business that only accepts cash. It's my go to spot for tonkatsu.

They changed the kimchi from radish to a cabbage. It seems to be a quick kimchi, so not as fermented (if at all). It has a nice bite to it, but does not have much flavor, so they are maintaining that clean flavor profile. The Dweji Gomtang (Regular) was even lighter in flavor than the last time I was here. Maybe I'm just not getting the flavor that everyone else seems to be getting, but that would mean there is a lack in consistency, which is disappointing for a restaurant that specializes in this dish. The meat was still tasty and well cooked though, so that was enjoyable. The addition of the Gochu Ji added a much needed boost of flavor. The Lard Donkatsu was crisp and had decent flavor, especially with the donkatsu sauce. I do wish it had a lemon wedge to add some brightness to the dish. The cabbage salad, pickles (still listed as pickled pepper on the menu, but it seems to be peppered pickles now) and potato salad did help refresh the palate a bit. The cabbage salad and pickles had a good crisp bite to them. This dish comes with a soup and rice as well. The soup was pretty good, with more flavor than the Dweji Gomtang. The rice was well cooked, and a great vessel for the donkatsu sauce. The Ebi Katsu was crispy and went well with the tartar sauce. The shrimps are sizable and has a good ratio to the breading. My favorite dish of the meal. The Lemon Ade has a good lemon-y tartness. Overall, still disappointed with the lack of savory-ness from signature dish. I am happy to see some changes in the menu though, and they were getting many customers. Maybe their katsu dishes are the way to go.

This place is a little of a hidden gem and not quite like other Korean restaurants. But no gatekeeping here! We also came at a weird lunch time around 2pm so it wasn't really busy and we were seated right away. Once you enter, you'd quickly notice the very detailed beautifully hand painted murals on the walls and an abundance of painted butterflies. The attention to detail is impeccable! The menu is also very cute and I'm guessing handmade. It was pretty detailed and we appreciated learning about each dish before deciding what to order. We ended up ordering the Kimchi Pancake with seafood, the spicy bulkoki udon and the jeyuk udon. The kimchi seafood pancake was super crispy and filled with squid and shrimp! It also came with a semi sweet dipping sauce that paired nicely. Both udons came out piping hot and fresh! Udon had a nice chew to it, was loaded with vegetables as well as meat for each dish. The egg was fried and did not have a runny yolk. For sides, they gave us 4 things- a tomato salad, kimchi cucumbers, braised string beans, and bean sprouts. The tomato salad came in this cute apple shaped dish but neither of us really cared for it- this is completely biased though since we're not really fans of tomato. What we really did love was the kimchi cucumbers! Also at the end, they served us 3 pieces of cantaloupe which were very sweet. Overall, yummy food, cute shop, and friendly/nice staff! I'd come back to try their other food options in the future!
