Thai Ice Tea

My go-to Thai food spot in bayside! The crab meat fried rice, Pad Thai, and Thai iced tea never disappoint. We came here to celebrate our cousin's graduation, and it was the perfect place for good food and great company!

What a day! I needed to get away. I took a trip and landed at BKNY Thai. I arrived prior to my friend. I ordered a libation, Powder Blue was my choice. My friend arrived and we ordered Thai spring rolls (4), chicken curry puffs (4) and pineapple fried rice with shrimp. The music was a vibe and many people were celebrating. We saw a cake presentation for happy birthday. Waitstaff joined in to sing to the patron.

Ive been coming here for years. My family has had several parties here and we even closed it out 1 year for our Christmas celebration. Food is always great and so is service. I definitely recommend the ribs!!

Once again, we returned for their great lunch specials which at $10 is a bargain. We all enjoyed our dishes and the lunch specials comes with Thai Spring Roll. I was going to order a mild spice curry dish and but server said if you are not a fan of spicy to order something else. I ordered Praram Delights and that still had a slight kick. We tried the Duck Roll as an appetizer and that was very good. I like that we were able to converse without raising our voices. Small parking lot in the back with street parking available. Service is friendly and efficient, very nice decor. Definitely recommend!

If you have a big group, highly recommend you make a reservation. They laid out exact number and tell you to sit down before they provide extra plates settings. There is a small parking lot in the back though I have found street parking if needed. Employees are efficient and if you need your plate change, they will change it. The place might be a bit dim though if you need they can turn on the spotlight for picture taking. They have plenty of room to accommodate We spend more than 2 hours here with mingling before ordering and eating food (Appetizer and Entrees) and drinks. We shared the dishes so we can try a variety of dishes. Appetizer: Puff Curry Sausage Papaya Salad Mango Salad Beef Salad Chive (complimentary) Curry Chicken BBQ Chicken Entree: Lamb Chops Pan Fried Beef with Rice Noodles Eggplant Rice Seafood Beef with Vermicelli Noodles Tom Yum Soup

For a large restaurant and somewhat recognizable. I say it's all fluff. The food dishes were not the most delicious, intriguing or at full potential. Drinks were a let down. Chains like Olive Garden makes better drinks - and you have a FULL bar. Drinks came after the food ?!?! Atmosphere and setting/decor is perfect, wonderful and very cultural. There's a lot of customers I know however they need to get it together. There's plates had left over food and they said it's the wind ? Picture taken. One white shirt manager. Said nothing aside from "bye" To add injury on insult the put an involuntary 20% tip ... and ask for more ... YOU don't even deserve or earned a tip. Everything was basic or below. Want a good Thai spot : Thai 101 on bell blvd, bayside Thai social on bell blvd, Oakland gardens Futgi has better Thai ... and it's a half sushi place..... 3.1 of 5 Not Super

I came here with my friend for a quick lunch and they had a very nice lunch special. The restaurant itself is very nice inside, they have a full stocked bar and a nice red decor inside. Their lunch special I believe was $13 for a spring roll and chicken pad Thai. They do serve a generous amount and the food itself was very tasty. We also ordered their chicken wings to share which were crunchy and meaty. I also ordered their thai iced tea which wasn't part of their lunch special but was very refreshing. It is also fairly close to my house so I will be returning.

Dining Area

I went to this place for takeout on a Wednesday. It has a small parking lot in the back. Hostess was very friendly and nice. The decor was very fitting and had clean lines. It had a nice atmosphere. We ordered the pineapple fried rice with shrimp, pad see ew with fish and pad Thai with beef and without peanuts. The food was salty for my taste but for normal diners it's probably fine. I was very thirsty after eating. The dishes all had a lot of protein. The fish in the pad see ew was large and had about six pieces. For the lunch special good price for a good amount of food. Overall fine.

This spot is a must visit if you're in the area! The food is always excellent, the service is fast and friendly and it has a nice quiet ambiance to it. My go to is either the pad kee mao (drunken noodles) with shrimpand I add mushrooms or the bkny mixed special (it comes with a side of rice). The portions are a good size and you will always leave satisfied. The appetizers are also amazing! My favorites are the spring rolls, the mussels, and the chicken wings. They also come with a sweet sauce that gives it a little extra flavor. You can never go wrong by visiting this restaurant

This place is the best Thai restaurant I've ever been to! Their food is amazing. The lemon chicken I had was delicious. I drank the Wonder Woman and it was very tasty, down to the cherry. The waiter was very funny and pleasant and the place itself is very cozy and easy to hear each other. I would eat here again!

Geyanne L.

Calamari- nice and crispy Pad see eew- good portion, great flavor. Definitely recommend Pad thai- perfect peanuty flavor Green curry- lots of chicken in that deep bowl! Spicy and good Massaman curry- great flavor! Would've liked more rice to come with the curry dishes though!

Ask the Community - BKNY Thai Restaurant

Is the outdoor seating covered?

I was there a few weeks ago and didn't see any outdoor seating. I've been here quite a few times and don't think they have outdoor seating available.

Is there outdoor seating?

Hello, we have set up outdoor seating (weather permitting) in the rear parking lot as well as a few small tables in the front. Thank you.

Is it wheelchair accessible?

Pretty sure from the street side, not the rear, where are are steps. Why not call when open?

Can they host private event for up to 50 guest for a wedding dinner?

I’m sure they can. Big place. Call tomorrow.

Pad see ew or pad Thai?

Pad thai...is awesome so is the shirt ribs and dumpling. The whole fish is good too . hope this help

Is the snapper better or the ribs?

Depends on personal taste. If you have a sweet tooth ribs are quite delightful

( https://www.instagram.com/p/DQF8Gzekcks/ ). It is a shame because, besides myself, I know a few people that aren't in the neighborhood that travel regularly to G&L. Also its surprising because every time I go the place is pretty packed and occasionally there is a wait. What's also a shame, for me, is that on my recent visit my friend ordered the Steamed Seafood in Lemongrass and this is perhaps the top, or one of the top dishes on the menu. The seafood flavors and balances the slightly spicy lemongrass broth making this a crave worthy bowl. I ordered something out of my wheelhouse - the Coconut Spicy Lemongrass Soup, which on online order menu states its a popular dish. I couldn't see why this dish is so popular because I find other items on the menu superior. They make a tasty pho (especially when paired with a marrow bone). Their sandwiches are well made - I enjoy the different fish ones. I think their Vietnamese coffee could use some work - it is blander than other versions I had tried. Don't be too sad and maybe feel a little optimistic because owner Petra Rickman has a great track record opening interesting, in demand restaurants (This one and Taco Azul have been longtime go-tos in Whitestone). Additionally G&L has a 2nd location with the same menu in Manhattan, which unfortunately for a Queens boy like myself is a bridge too far and a congestion pricing too high for me to make the trek.

Flushing's Best-Kept Secret for Asian Food Lovers Tang…read moreRestaurant on Northern Blvd in Flushing is the kind of place you tell all your friends about and then secretly hope doesn't get too crowded. I've been back multiple times and it never disappoints. First, the sheer scope of the menu is impressive -- Korean, Japanese, and Chinese all done well under one roof. For the indecisive eater, this place is a dream. Our table ordered the gamjatang (pork bone stew), rose tteokbokki, and shrimp tempura, and every single dish was a hit. The rose tteokbokki in particular -- creamy, perfectly spiced, not too heavy -- is something I still think about. The gamjatang had incredible depth of flavor, the kind that tastes like it's been simmering all day. The portions are generous and the prices are surprisingly reasonable for the quality you're getting. The combo sets are especially great value if you're coming with a group. The space itself is large and modern, with a comfortable, lively atmosphere that works just as well for a family dinner as it does for a night out with friends. Service was attentive and the side dishes kept coming -- always a good sign at a Korean restaurant. And yes, the tea is wonderful. They also have their own parking lot, which in Flushing is practically a luxury in itself. Whether you're a regular in the neighborhood or making a special trip out to Queens, Tang is absolutely worth it. One of the most satisfying and affordable dining experiences in all of NYC.

And more: cold dish - garlic cucumbers to start. Classic soup dumplings (pork filling). I usually do not order the crab meat or other varieties as those seem gimmicky. The restaurant gives you a free order of pork dumplings with dine-in purchase of $20+. This visit I did try a new noodle dish - egg noodles with crab roe. It was interesting indeed. While I've had better crab roe toppings (this one was a bit greasy//oily for me) I can see why they added it to the menu. It's been a trend. The Peking Duck and crispy skin pork are still my go to dishes when coming here. It's just not easy to make at home so I'm happy to buy it. Totally classic dishes. We also ordered the beef pancakes which is also a great sharing plate. This spot is a keeper. The entire staff was professional and courteous, but the manager, Leo, truly stood out. He has always been warm and welcoming. Over the years, we've even had the chance to chat in our dialect, Shanghainese, on several occasions. He consistently goes out of his way to make sure guests feel well taken care of. Tonight, my husband ordered the General Tso's chicken, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Of course, I couldn't resist ordering a little too much for myself-- fried bean gluten, mixed vegetables, pan fried udon noodles, and brine squid. As always, they sent out complimentary steamed pork soup dumplings and, to finish, two sweet fermented glutinous rice soups for dessert. I even had leftovers--udon noodles and fried bean gluten--for lunch tomorrow. Everything we had was absolutely delicious and carried a deep sense of nostalgia--the flavors truly brought me back to where I grew up in Shanghai. Needless to say, we left very happy and will definitely be back again soon.

This place feels like a hidden gem you almost want to keep secret... but it's just too good not to share. What makes Pho Metro stand out right away is how authentic it feels. You can tell this is truly a labor of love. One guy runs the show and somehow manages to do it all, from cooking to serving, and the care he puts into the food absolutely shows in every single bite. It has that comforting, homemade quality that makes you feel like you've stepped into a small family kitchen rather than just another restaurant. The food itself is outstanding. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, from the herbs to the broth. I highly recommend the thin noodles with the spicy lemongrass broth (you can request this if it's not listed). It's bursting with flavor, slightly tangy, perfectly spicy, and deeply savory in a way that warms you from the inside out. Every spoonful feels like a cozy blanket on a cold day. The summer rolls are another must-order. They're fresh, light, and packed with flavor, and the peanut sauce that comes with them is absolutely delicious. It's rich, savory, and addictive enough that you'll find yourself scraping the cup to get every last drop. Another detail I really appreciated is how everything you need is right at your fingertips. All the sauces are readily available at the table, so you can customize your bowl exactly how you like it without having to ask or wait. It makes the whole experience feel easy, comfortable, and welcoming. And don't skip the Thai iced tea. It's perfectly sweet, creamy, and refreshing, especially alongside the bold flavors of the pho. It's the kind of drink that makes you slow down and enjoy the moment. Overall, this place delivers on flavor, authenticity, and heart. It's rare to find a spot where you can truly taste the effort and pride in every dish, but Pho Metro does exactly that. I will absolutely be returning again and again. If you're in the area, make the stop. You won't be disappointed.

I can't believe I never wrote a review for Pho Che after dining here multiple times over the years…read more I have been a huge fan of their pho broth and their grilled pork chops. They are both always seasoned very well and make a delicious meal. However, the price seems to have increased tremendously for the side of pork chop (almost doubled since they first opened).
