Press 195 has 3 locations: Bayside, Rockville Centre, and Plainview. The Bayside location is always my go to location and it's been a few years since I've been back, but the food and service is still as great as I remember it to be. Parking can be found on Bell Blvd or on one of the side streets. I walked in on a Friday night about 6:45pm and my friend and I were seated right away by the kitchens window. Press 195's atmosphere is laid-back and friendly. Our waitress came and took our order without writing anything down. Everything came out correctly. I ordered the #26 - Turkey & Gouda that comes with turkey, Canadian bacon (I took out the Canadian bacon), smoked gouda, fresh tomato, and roasted garlic spread. My friend ordered the #29 - Steak & Chimichurri that comes with grilled marinated sliced steak, tomato, provolone, red onions (she took out the red onions), and homemade chimichurri sauce. We both added a side of Belgian fries for $5.05 each. The sandwiches were very tasty and a good portion. The ingredients were fresh. I really liked the side of cucumber salad as well. Press 195 is your go to place for handcrafted panini press sandwiches, crispy hand-cut belgian fries, and more! Though it was a Friday night, we weren't rushed out and it was getting busy.
Conveniently located on Bell Blvd. Parking can be difficult, but I have managed to find residential street parking nearby. They have a good amount of table (regular, high tops and outdoor) and bar seating. It does get tight if you're waiting on a table. Service is attentive and friendly. I've been a few times, and it's a pretty consistent spot. I always get their Belgian Fries. They're fried perfectly and hold that crisp well. I like to get an additional sauce (Wasabi Ranch is my favorite). I usually get a Knish. It sometimes doesn't hold its shape, because of how stuffed, but it's easy to fork and knife it. The fillings (such as Brisket, or Veggies) are flavorful and well cooked. I enjoy the pickles as well, which add a refreshing zing to the meal. Overall, a great spot to hit for some sandwiches, fries and drinks! It is a little pricey, but worth it for a night out.
Press is always my go to when I don't know what I want to eat. My favorite sandwich is the smoking gun, steak, a yummy chipotle mayo, and goeey cheese. It's perfect in every way. Staff is always so kind and accommodating.
Came in for a quick burger with fries and a beer. Burger was cooked well, would have liked it if it was med as requested. I guess waitress did not relayed my request to kitchen. $20 burger, $8 beer tax and tip and its $36 meal. Burger even overcooked was pretty tasty, fries were hot and crispy
Just ordered 500 dollars of catering from Press195 Bayside over the weekend, The Sandwiches were very good, the wings were good, a tray of french fries were terrible $80 Dollars on unseasoned and soggy not crisy Fries,very disappointed, the chicken was great until I bit down and had a chunck of fat that ruined the whole thing and it did not just happen in one SOUVLAKI and it happened to a few guests, how does 25 SOUVLAKI not go with 16 people. I don't understand cut the piece of fat out of the chicken, what are you saving nothing besides pising off the customer. The Carrots sent for the wings . I cannot tell you how digusting old, dry green on some, crackling looking they were, very disappointed. how do you send this to a customer who just spent 500 dollars. the guy that put these in the order should be fired, absolutely terrible, overall the sandwiches were great the wings were great , the chicken I would not order, the fries will be going in the garbage today, nobody wants that leftover 7 out of 10 overall. the little things matter, Have a group chat with your employeess and don'tt let this happen.... it's an easy fix Change these things and rating would be better
My first and only experience at Press 195 was a to-go order. The menu has a lot of offer from sandwiches, salads, burgers, and fries. There are a ton of different sandwiches like turkey, chicken, steak, etc. I decided to try the #38 steak & avocado. The sandwich comes with grilled marinated sliced steak, avocado, sweet onion jam, fresh mozzarella, and creamy roasted pepper dressing served as a panini. The flavor of the sandwich was excellent. I loved that it was served warm and toasted. The sandwich was large enough that I was able to get 2 meals of out it. I would definitely come back here and would love to try eating their food at their restaurant.
Delicious sandwich shop in Bayside! We have been coming here for years and it has never disappointed us. I've tried several of their hot sandwiches and burgers and enjoyed them all. Can't decide on a favorite, depends on the mood. Can't go wrong with #38 with sliced steak with avocado and mozzarella. The service is great, the parking can be a bit tough during peak hours since it's located in the popular park of Bell Blvd, and price is a bit high.
Came here for lunch Recently with my son while he was attending business in the area. We ordered these 2 Bomb Sandwiches. Absolutely Delicious. They have a way of toasting the bread like no other. Awesome.
First time here called for pickup for some steak Knish. Girl was nice when I went there and quick to get my food ready. Food tasted A+ amazing. There was enough meat for two people and it was under 20 bucks. Will definitely come back again for sure as long as prices don't get too high. Good experience.
We saw many good reviews of this place so we decided to give it a try. It's a relatively small bar serving some pretty interesting sandwiches, burgers and bar food. When we got there they just opened. They asked if we wanted to sit at a tall table and we said sure. They had some interesting beer pulls decorating the shelves on the wall. They brought water over and asked if we wanted anything besides water. We were fine with just water. We needed a few more minutes because we couldn't decide what to have. I finally settled on the California Burnin Burger with Monterey Jack cheese, guacamole, salsa, and jalapeños. I asked for it without the bun, with bacon and a side salad instead of fries. My husband ordered the fried chicken sandwich and fries. My daughter had John's classic with the gravy on the side and fries. When the food showed up I didn't notice that my burger was missing bacon. It took a bit for me to get their attention but when I mentioned that I'm missing bacon they immediately rectified it. They brought out a plate of bacon (4 slices). I'm not sure if it's how many they usually give or if it's just an apology. Either way, bacon is always good. The burger was cooked medium like I asked. The melty cheese, guacamole, salsa, jalapeños, and bacon were a perfect balance of flavor, heat, and texture. My husband said his fried chicken and fries were good. My daughter liked her sandwich as well. With just a small snafu with the bacon it is a solid place.
I've tried this place three times at the insistence of someone who assured me this was a solid place, well I guess the third time's the charm, after failing the first two times for a variety of reasons, ( first time was takeout, sandwiches steamed while in the wrapper and was soggy, second time fries were burnt.). Tried one of their steak sandwiches with smoked Gouda. The bread was nice and crunchy, while the steak was tender and tasty. A solid and really well done sandwich and one of the more unique options, as there aren't too many places that do something like a steak sandwich, come here if you want a solid grilled sandwich with nice toasty bread
I was excited to visit this restaurant when I read they had Knish sandwiches. Having some recent issues with my teeth so a panini or pressed sandwich was out of the question. I decided on brisket which was sandwiched in between a regular old fashion square potato knish then pressed. A small side of sliced pickles was served with the sandwich. While at first glance it looked small it was plenty filling. Just wish it had more flavor. The menu described the brisket as sweet slow braised brisket, smoked gouda, caramelized onion gravy. I have no idea where the onion gravy nor sweet flavor was because it was nonexistent. Smoked gouda has a strong flavor and none of that came through either. I added pickles but still not much flavor so added salt and ketchup. I usually put ketchup on a knish but didn't expect to have to do it with this sandwich. My friend ordered a pressed sandwich with fried eggplant, roasted peppers, Italian cold cuts. It was huge, the bread pressed well but again no flavor. She asked for some oil and vinegar to add flavor. It was served in the same plastic container as the pickles with no top. It was impossible to mix the oil and balsamic together so my friend asked for a spoon but was mostly unsuccessful in combining the two. The Belgian fries were tasty but the additional wasabi cream we ordered as a dipping sauce (extra $1) didn't add anything to the taste. We winded up using ketchup to dip them in. The menu indicates the fries are for 2 people at $8.95. This is accurate as the order is big enough to be shared. I might return when the weather is warmer to sit outside on their patio to try one of their salads or a different pressed sandwich then my bff ordered.
We were staying in Queens for a week to cat sit, and saw that this was in the neighborhood. I had signed up for the Yelp Queens month of sandwiches event and saw this listed, so one day we headed out to get a takeout order. We found out that the prize was a free order of fries, but only dine in. We decided to come back the next day, when we read the fine print that it was only good on weekdays. By now we had noticed that the restaurant was VERY popular with locals, so we decided to eat there, fries or no fries. I am a big fan of menus that have something imaginative, and Press195 got an A+ in that one. I had a pastrami stuffed knish, and Donna had a grilled veggie sandwich that seems to be their specialty. The items were delicious and abundant, so we hardly needed those fries anyway. My son, who lives in Bayside, tells me that they swear by this place for delivery orders. One more item for the motto that Bell Blvd has the best restaurants and no parking.

Food: 5/5 We had the #45 ($20.21 +$5.05 side fries) and #46 ($19.08 +$5.05 side fries). These were some of the best sandwiches in the area. They perfectly combine tender and flavorful meats with hot pressed bread. Service: 5/5 The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from the moment we walked in. They checked in at all the right times without being overbearing, kept drinks filled, and made sure everything came out smoothly. Ambiance: 5/5 Press 195 has a cozy, laid-back neighborhood vibe. It's been six years since I last came here. The food is still pretty good and the service was friendly, but overall I found the sandwiches a bit overpriced. The menu has very detailed, almost elevated descriptions that make everything sound spectacular, but in practice the flavors don't quite come through, especially the sauces, which are barely noticeable. Our server was flexible when we asked to swap the potato chips for fries on the kids' grilled cheese meal, which we appreciated. However, we were then charged $1.40 for a side of ranch for the fries. I understand they have a range of specialty sauces and dips that are clearly priced on the menu, but that still felt steep for ranch. They also offer a combo option to add fries for $5, but the portion doesn't really feel aligned with the price. The steak sandwich itself was surprisingly tender, even though it looked like it might be tough. That said, I couldn't taste the roasted red pepper sauce, and the "sweet onion jam" turned out to just be caramelized onions. My mother actually ended up picking them out because she doesn't eat onions. (she won't eat onions that she can see) The buffalo cauliflower was tasty, but could have been crispier. The "serves two" description also felt a bit generous given the small portion. I also ordered a brisket sandwich to go with fries. The coleslaw sounded great on the menu, but in reality the flavors didn't stand out, no real hint of jalapeño, just a fairly standard slaw. Overall, the food descriptions felt more impressive than the actual execution, though the to-go fries portion was more generous, which was a nice surprise. Would I go back? I'm not sure. This restaurant is one of my go to spots on Bell Blvd. it's a great spot for good sandwiches and amazing Belgian fries. I love the sauces for the fries and the extra cost is worth it! It can quite loud in here when there's a lot of people but is worth it for the food. Not the best spot if you're looking to have good conversations with friends but still a great hangout spot. Great food and great drinks. My favorite is any of their steak sandwiches. The steak is not dry and the pairing/combination is delicious. My personal favorite is #29. They have happy hour, mon-fri, 4-7pm. $6 draft beer and $10 for an order of wings. Worth checking out. read more

Found this place on a whim through Google and so happy I did! This place is a hidden gem! The food was amazing and worth it, the ambience was cute and comforting and the workers were kind souls. The order with no fries is the Jimmys classic. The other order is one of the other chicken hero with Belgium Fries- fries were delish. The chicken in both sandwiches were juicy and tasteful. Definitely worth going as the menu has a variety of options for everyone, such as burgers, pastrami sandwiches, Souvlaki sticks, wings snd a kids menu. I am definitely hooked ;D and will try again 100% :). read more
Wow this place is so good. Ordered a classic Burger medium. Let me tell u! Medium is medium here. IYKYK. Cooked to perfection. Bruschetta was also so good. Def recommend. The goat cheese compliments it very well. Must have. Overall very good, flavorful. Little on the pricey side, but def worth a try. read more
I'm bumping my review up after a great experience on the back patio. Our waiter was great with our big party and didn't bat an eye at our toddlers' questionable behavior and less (sorry!). The menu is huge and includes lots of different sandwiches; even the salad section has something for everyone. Short but nicely curated beer on tap menu. Nicely sized cocktail menu, too! read more

There are no other fries like this in Queens. They are legendary!!! I ordered takeout as I usually do and go the fries and buffalo chicken panini. The buffalo chicken panini was very yummy. The only thing that I would change is maybe pulse the celery instead of having long thin strips of it? It was hard to eat because of that but still very yummy. The buffalo sauce is awesome and so creamy. Fries might come a tad bit soggy when you order takeout which is normal but give it 1-2 minutes in the air fryer and they're as good as getting them inside the restaurant. So so so yum, can't express it enough. I also got the wasabi ranch. You need to get the wasabi ranch!!! A bit of the expensive side for a sandwich and fries but this lasted me through 2 meals so it's worth it to me for that reason. read more

Haven't been here in a few years now. Tasted just how I remembered it! We ordered the Belgian fries, 31, 32. There were a few other parties here at 1:30pm on a Wednesday. Not too many but some in the front area. We sat in the middle area so it was more quiet, although we were given the option to sit outside as well. The store is a bit cramped, the tables kinda close together and the aisle not the most spacious room. The food came quick - he asked if we wanted the fries first or with the food. We were starving so we said the fries first. Wasn't craving any of the sauces in particular so we just had ketchup. If you want additional sauces, there's a few to choose from (BBQ, chipotle mayo, pineapple sesame sriracha, ranch, etc) for an extra $1 each. The paninis came a little later, shortly after we finished the fries. Freshly made, baked, and tasted alright. If you want a quick lunch fix with paninis and fries, this place is ok. If you pay cash, you pay less (I think 3.95% less?) and the cost will be shown on the receipt - giving you the option to pay cash or card. read more

I love finding a spectacular sandwich spot and this was just it! They have a wide selection of very unique sandwich combinations and I got the p38 and substituted the steak for grilled chicken. It was super tasty and I loved the red pepper dressing and caramelized onions. My lady got the p39 which she said was very good. The bread is the perfect mix of crunchy exterior, soft interior. If I could give them a 10 out of 5 I would! I went to get an early dinner with my best friend and the food was amazing and came out quickly. But that is not why I'm giving them 5 stars, my friend had fainted during dinner and the entire staff sprung into action. The kindness of everyone was surely a sight to see. They made sure to stay beside us until the paramedics came. Constantly reassuring us that it was okay and asking if we needed anything. Thank you for everyone who helped, we are eternally grateful! I came here with my cousin on a Sunday afternoon, and we were seated immediately. Service was great, and our waiter was friendly and attentive. I got the Grilled Marinated Sliced Steak ($15.50) which was served on handcrafted ciabatta bread. DELICIOUS!! The bread was so fresh and had a soft chewy interior and crispy exterior shell. It was pressed perfectly. The sandwich came with provolone, pan-fried sweet peppers & mushrooms, fresh baby arugula and pineapple sesame sriracha sauce. A very unique and flavorful combination. The steak was also cooked well. Pickled cucumbers were served on the side with every sandwich which was refreshing to balance out any heaviness. Overall, great sandwiches but a bit pricy. While I don't crave them nor would I go out of my way to come here, I wouldn't mind going back for a weekend lunch with friends. If you're on the fence about trying it out, I'd say go for it! Press 195 has some of the best paninis and knishes in the area (in addition to those fries and dipping sauces of course)! I have tried a variety of different things from here and I would easily say that my favorite things include Hawaiian chicken and steak knish. The sweet and savory combo works great for the panini and the steak knish is flavorful and the knish is still crisp and not soggy unlike a lot of knishes I've tried before- what's not to love? read more

fries - TO DIE FOR SAUCE! Garlic sauce is the best. This is always my go to place for paninis and fries in bayside. Cannot go wrong. Their service is great, sangria is excellent, cannot go wrong. I opted for #42- grilled chicken sandwich with goat cheese and pesto. Delicious. read more

The wings take more than 20 minutes to prepare and the waiter didn't inform us it would take this long. The garlic Parmesan wings are disappointing, no taste of garlic nor Parmesan. read more

Do you have indoor big screen tv for giant football viewing?
Not giant, but there are TV's
Is this a good place for a study group on a Saturday from 12 pm to 5pm?
To study? Or eat? I would say it's a good place to go and eat, but not to study. It's a restaurant.
Are the wings boneless?
We serve classic bone in wings, however you may toss the chicken fingers in any of our wing sauces for a boneless chicken option!
Are dogs allowed?
I don't know, but I hope not (not because I am a dog hater!). The place is really cramped with a lot of finger foods. The poor doggie will not have adequate space on the floor to sit and relax while you dine either.
