Ordered two burger combos with fountain drink with onion rings and curly fries. Actually surprised the reviews were low here -- I actually think it's pretty good and fountain drink was a nice touch to the meal. This actually might be my go to for a burger place. Def recommend

I have eaten from this restaurant numerous times with a tiny issue once in a blue, but yesterday is unforgivable. I ordered a steak, eggs, and homefries platter via Grubhub. The order arrived and everything looked good until the 3rd bite. There was a strand of hair under my steak which was disgusting enough but then it got even better as I looked at the homefries to find more hair cooked into the cheddar cheese and the homefries. The hair looked liked it was plucked from someone's head because it was 2 strands from the root. Unbelievable and gross. I called the restaurant and explained what happened, asked if staff uses hair nets and was told they wear hats but no on has long hair? Despite that, an apology was given but no compensation was offered simply I will have Grubhub take it off the bill? Great customer service after being a loyal customer for a few years already. Attached are photos but it is hard to see due to the lighting unless enlarged.

A diner that pays homage to the roaring 50's down to the Interior appointments with a jukebox, bubble gum machine and radio receiver just to name a few things that bring the oldies alive. Where's the 57 Chevy bel air? :) The food here is not bad, with that said the main entrées we had were delicious, the sides were mediocre. The onion rings were overcooked and hard, the fries, cole slaw and pickles were blasé. As I mentioned earlier, the entrées are very good, the Marlon Brando burger was juicy and delicious and I love the over easy egg on top. The tuna melt was toasted nicely with a healthy slab of cheese, can healthy and cheese be used in the same sentence? :) The Edsel chicken sandwich was well seasoned, moist and delicious. Great customer service and the owners are super nice and friendly. If paying by cash you get a little discount.

Super cute, 50's theme diner They only had 1 waitress when I dined on a busy Saturday morning, she did a good job keeping up with all the tables. Typical diner menu, they did have some "specials" which seemed interesting and most dishes come with fresh squeezed OJ. I had the Mexicali Press which was smaller than expected, very good but needed more spice. Coffee is on the bitter side, they have flavored syrups available which I got on the side and added in which made it more bearable.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a cute diner! It has a nostalgic vibe and good service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had no idea they even existed. The food was pretty good, typical diner food. Definitely a spot worth checking out.

Did an advanced order through Uber Eats for three people. A couple hours before the cutoff, I edited my order changing my soda from a black cherry to a diet root beer and removing the mac 'n cheese bites. They swapped the soda, but kept the mac 'n cheese bites without charging me. Strange, but hey, you wanna give me free mac 'n cheese bites? No big deal. What IS a big deal is that I ordered a chicken sandwich called the Edsel and it was the saddest chicken sandwich I've ever had. This thing was so greasy, I could practically see my reflection in the bun. I had to clean my hands off with a napkin every time I touched it. The inside was soggy. Completely flavorless. I could've made a better chicken sandwich myself, and I can barely scramble an egg. If this is how this diner makes all their sandwiches and burgers, then count me out.

Everything here is always super fresh it really is amazing I have been here many many times and I didn't ever give a review ! I have mostly been here for breakfast but I have ordered dinner food for delivery and I have never yet been disappointed!! It is a must !! I'm not a "diner" person but this is a restaurant with a diner flare and a really great menu !!! Don't miss out on it give them a try and you will keep going back !

Pretty nice diner! The waiter was such a nice man and the atmosphere was so nostalgic of the 50s. The food was overall tasty. The eggs could have had a bit more flavor and it would have been great if the potatoes were more crunchy, but overall pretty good!

This is a nice neighborhood diner with nostalgia decor. Definitely has a traditional vibe from 57!! The kitchen is located in the middle of the restaurant and you watch your food being cooked and prepared. Our server was attentive and brought food fairly quickly. Breakfast was delicious. Home fries had a delicious flavor, and portions were generous. They serve fresh squeeze orange juice. Overall, this was a nice experience, and will continue to visit. Also, they sell beer and wine and have brunch specials.

"Grilled onions" more like burnt onion skins

I just order two chicken sandwiches both with grilled onions The onions that they put in the sandwich were the skins of the onions, they couldn't even be chewed it was like eating shoe leather. Absolutely disgusting. I don't know if they ran out of onions or what but this is unacceptable. By the way, it was $32 for two sandwiches and they don't even give you fries I also specifically asked for coleslaw and pickles, most diners give these things to you complimentary but 57s doesn't give them to you even if you specifically ask for it. Stay away from this diner, better off going to Neptune on bell blvd

Bacon egg and cheese on a roll
    Vivian H.

The picture says it all. My boyfriend paid about $22 for two bacon egg and cheese on a roll and 1 hash brown. Pretty pricey for that but it's reasonable since we are purchasing from a diner. However, as I'm on my way to school, I open up my roll and come to find out there's a singular piece of bacon and like half an egg. Never been more disappointed. Paying 8-9$ for a bacon egg and cheese on a roll, you'd think they put at least a minimum of 3 slices of bacon. It was not the case at all. My bf paid basically for just bread. Minimal cheese in the roll too. This was not worth our money at all. The hash brown was normal size and tasted pretty decent. Overall, won't be coming back and very dissatisfied.

THE WORST SERVICE I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED IN MY LIFE…read more Came here last night with my wife because I saw all the great reviews and figured, how bad could it be? Turns out, very, very, VERY bad. We ordered two cocktails. 45 MINUTES LATER, we were still waiting. I asked our waitress twice where they were. Both times, dismissive and annoyed: "They're coming." At that point I assumed they were being delivered by horseback. The drinks finally came, watered down and mediocre. We eventually ordered a second round, and somehow three different people became involved in getting us drinks. One of them came over to ask for my wife's name for the order (?). I genuinely started wondering if we were applying for a mortgage. How many people does it take to make a cocktail here? Literally let me behind the bar and I'll mix the martini myself. It takes under 60 seconds at any bar in Manhattan, but somehow in Flushing, every drink order takes 45 minutes.

It had an oddly fishy taste when it should've been rich and buttery. It also lacked proper seasoning, so we ended up sending it back. For the entree, we ordered the dry aged porterhouse, priced at nearly $200. We asked for medium, but it came out well done, which was a letdown. The chimichurri didn't taste authentic, and while the signature steak sauce was fine, it wasn't anything memorable. We also ordered a side of bacon, which was decent but I've had better. The chili prawn noodles were another miss. It came with only four shrimp, wasn't spicy at all, and used spaghetti noodles, which felt off for the dish. The only real highlights were the creamed spinach and shishito peppers. Those were solid and you just can't go wrong with it. At best, I'd recommend coming here for the cocktails and the view. The food alone doesn't justify it. I added an extra star strictly because of the service. Shirley was excellent. She was knowledgeable, attentive, and gave great wine recommendations. Very accommodating and genuinely pleasant, which made the experience better overall.
