    Fig French Toast
    Ash M.

Dinerbar is a beautifully done restaurant with an upscale diner menu with way better options than your typical diner. The service is top notch, just like the food and ingredients they use. The fig French toast was out of this world! I would highly recommend it, the jam and Greek yogurt on it really tied the dish together. The omelette was perfect and the tri colored potatoes was the cherry on top! My boyfriend loved his bowl that was full of veggies, quinoa, eggs and turkey bacon. I tried it and it was delicious. We can't wait to come back!

Definitely slammed this food ! It was so good. The home fries were truly coloured potato's and the bread had seeds and you can tell the food is quality!! I will definitely be back. The service was also good. Definitely one of the best spots in the area. I will say it was a bit pricey. This meal depicted came up to 37.02 but I can sense the quality difference between here and cheaper diners.

Finally ate at Diner Bar for dinner in 2025 and for brunch in 2026. Location is convenient, lots of food options, full bar, nice decor, lots of booths and tables and bar seating too. The food is good. Food is served hot and fresh. The chicken Parm and spaghetti was hot. Matzo ball soup was hot and lightly salted. The fish tacos were tasty. More recently, I went there for Sunday brunch. Restaurant was nearly packed. I ordered the poblano braised short rib hash Benedict, specifically scrambled eggs versus poached. The poblano Hollandaise sauce is not typical and looks curdled but it's not spicy and delicious. The beef brisket was heated up, but that dried some of the it and rendering it inedible. All and all, it's a good option in the neighborhood.

Southwest omelette, Breakfast quesadilla and side of Belgian waffle

Been here several times and never had an issue. Service always good, food is always delicious, place is always clean. My go-to breakfast/brunch is breakfast quesadilla or the southwest omelette. Delicious! Tried the waffles today and also delicious. Light, fluffy, and lightly crispy. No complaints on anything. Highly recommend.

My daughters 9th bday was coming up and she loves milkshakes so I started looking on yelp (of course) and found this place which also has a bar #winningfortheparents lol We came on a saturday around 6:30-7 table do four was seated right away. We were also intrigued to try the sangria that yelp raved about. We got a pitcher! It did NOT disappoint. It was a decent size pitcher for the price. Roza came to us and asked if we liked it and told us it was her recipe. No sugar ,No soda .It was tasty, thick full of fruit and definitely had liquor because I left with a buzz She also brought out the rosè for us to try pretty good too very refreshing will definitely do that one in warmer weather. I got the Dbar burger it was good but so big I didn't finish it all. My husband got the rib eye burger. He liked it but it was a little to greasy for him he didn't finish it. My 13 year old wanted breakfast. It was not in the menu but we figured we ask since it is a diner. She got pancakes with fruit and scrambled eggs. My youngest daughter got from the kids menu grilled cheese with fruit she enjoyed it so much we had to order another. Both girls for the marshmallow milkshake they LOVED it! For appetizers we got calamari good but could've used a little more breading. Also got chips with guacamole and honestly for a diner it was delicious. Everyone was friendly. Roza knew she had a bday past since we conversed for a bit and suggested we can sing her happy bday and asked what she liked I told her chocolate cake. They asked for the correct spelling of her name which I thought was sweet. Anyway the staff came out and sang with us super cool. Even the bathrooms are really clean. It was a great experience will definitely come back.I must be honest it's a hit pricey. The price for the pancakes with eggs was $23 when we saw the bill I was a little surprised. Kids' meals are $13 and I thought we were getting the cake (free, lol) since I technically didn't suggest it. It was $12 for a slice. But overall it was a pleasure she even gave us a sample of vodka with lemon and ginger which was actually good and helps settle the stomach.

I was lucky to get a table as soon as a walked in on a Saturday morning. The hot chocolate really hit the spot on a rainy day. The fruit was fresh and the pancakes were nice and fluffy. Solid diner meal.

Dinerbar has been making it increasingly difficult to remain its patron. While the food still hits the high mark, the prices are just outrageous. I've been ordering my favorite from their menu when I am in a time crunch or a pinch (chicken avocado wrap) - the other day, it cost me $28 with a soda. TWENTY EIGHT DOLLARS. For a wrap with fries and a soda. I just can't get behind that. And I do truly think it's a shame because they're never NOT full or busy seemingly.

3.5 really. I think this places name does it a disservice. It is way more than a diner or a bar. The service is fantastic. They are very amiable and attentive. I ordered the cappuccino smoothie coctail. It was a delicious meal... it at least should have been! Coffee, ice cream, kahlua, and whipped cream. What more does one need? The fried chicken sandwich was very good. The chicken was substantial with all the fixings. It was well cooked, crispy and juicy. The fries were good and crispy. The ranchero eggs came in a skillet with sweet potatoes, potatoes, and peppers. The sweet potatoes didn't do much for me. The ranchero sauce didn't look appealing, and was mildly flavored. The winner was the homemade habanero sauce.. spicy and flavorful. The blueberry marscapone crepe was pretty, I didn't taste it. Oh, and the watermelon cocktail was yummy.

my family and i came here after completing a breast cancer walk because i saw it had good reviews. the menu was extensive and honestly it was pretty hard to narrow down what i wanted but i decided on the omelet with home fries. everything here was very good and the service was good. the waiter was also very personable. stop by!

Classic Diner comfort - scrambled eggs, sausage and home fries

I've been to Dinerbar in Rego Park multiple times, mostly for Sunday brunch, and it's consistently solid. The space is a little more upscale than your typical diner--clean, modern, and spacious with comfy seating and a sleek vibe. The standard breakfast plate hits the spot--eggs, sausage, potatoes, toast, and a strong iced coffee. If you want to branch out, the poached egg avocado toast is nicely done, and for something sweet, the Fruity Pebbles French toast is a fun, indulgent option. Service is always friendly and attentive, and portions are big--I've happily made a meal out of appetizers like short rib sliders, fish tacos, and their Cobb salad. Dependable and satisfying. A notch above your average diner in both quality and atmosphere.

Jalapeño Cheddar Bacon & Egg Sandwich
    Gordon Y.

Cuisine: 7 Service: 7 Decor: 7 Value: 8 Overall: 7 Very solid diner that serves some good quality food. Everything is done relatively well, from pancakes to waffles. My favorite here is the Jalapeño Cheddar Bacon & Egg Sandwich. A side of sausage is a must too because they are plump and juicy. Service is always good and it has seating to fit large groups. If this is your local diner, consider yourself pretty lucky.

Came here for breakfast with my cousin and boyfriend. They had really good specials I ended up getting the boozy banana milkshake. We also got a peanut butter milkshake, steak and eggs with chimichurri sauce and a fig French toast. Everything was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend coming here if you have not tried it yet!

    Short Rib Burger
    Christina W.

My boyfriend and I were visiting the area and needed a quick bite, so we decided on Dinerbar. We arrived around 8PM on a Sunday, and it was pretty empty, so we were seated immediately. We both ordered burgers. I got the short rib burger and he got the juicy Lucy. These burgers were huge, especially the Juicy Lucy. The burgers tasted pretty good, but I'd say the pricing was a bit high for what it was, but overall wasn't bad, and I'm open to coming back. Based off of the reviews, it looks like this spot is more known for brunch, so maybe we'll try it out another time!

The service was good "quick" as usual. We were met as we entered the restaurant by a female service however she had a mouth full of food. We ordered the Braised Short Rib and the Chicken Tagine. We received our food within just a few minutes no more than 7-10 minutes. Although there was steam coming off of the couscous the chicken was ice cold. It was obvious that my food had been simply thrown into a microwave. The couscous although hot it was overcooked and mushy. The chicken was warm on the bottom but extremely cold as I cut into it. The Short Rib dish had the same problem. The pasta was steamy hot but the rib was cold. I really don't have a problem eating cold beef, but I can't eat cold chicken. I would have sent my dish back however it was obvious that they weren't going to make a new dish I felt they would have just nuked it longer. If I wanted nuked food I could have picked up a frozen dinner at the grocery store. Go for the wine, not the food.
