Dinerbar is a beautifully done restaurant with an upscale diner menu with way better options than your typical diner. The service is top notch, just like the food and ingredients they use. The fig French toast was out of this world! I would highly recommend it, the jam and Greek yogurt on it really tied the dish together. Finally ate at Diner Bar for dinner in 2025 and for brunch in 2026. Location is convenient, lots of food options, full bar, nice decor, lots of booths and tables and bar seating too. The food is good. Food is served hot and fresh. The chicken Parm and spaghetti was hot. Matzo ball soup was hot and lightly salted. The fish tacos were tasty. More recently, I went there for Sunday brunch. Restaurant was nearly packed. I ordered the poblano braised short rib hash Benedict, specifically scrambled eggs versus poached. The poblano Hollandaise sauce is not typical and looks curdled but it's not spicy and delicious. The beef brisket was heated up, but that dried some of the it and rendering it inedible. I've been ordering my favorite from their menu when I am in a time crunch or a pinch (chicken avocado wrap) - the other day, it cost me $28 with a soda. TWENTY EIGHT DOLLARS. The fried chicken sandwich was very good. The chicken was substantial with all the fixings. It was well cooked, crispy and juicy. The fries were good and crispy. The ranchero eggs came in a skillet with sweet potatoes, potatoes, and peppers. The sweet potatoes didn't do much for me. The ranchero sauce didn't look appealing, and was mildly flavored. We both ordered burgers. I got the short rib burger and he got the juicy Lucy. These burgers were huge, especially the Juicy Lucy. The burgers tasted pretty good, but I'd say the pricing was a bit high for what it was, but overall wasn't bad, and I'm open to coming back. The fries hot and slightly crispy just the way I like them. I dine here rather frequently and I've noticed a decline in service and food quality. In particular, during my most recent visit, I ordered the braised short rib hash. It was extremely cold like they took leftovers out of the refrigerator. The potatoes that accompanied the short ribs were cold as well. The only thing served warm was the eggs which seemed freshly made. My friend ordered the corn beef hash. It looked totally different than what we thought. That too was cold and dry! We sat there with our cold food for almost a hour. The waiter Miguel never checked in and was completely gone. Never asked if was wanted a refill on coffee, how the food was, how's everything going ... you know normal hospitality practices. We told the bus boy (forgive me but i think that's the name of the position) that the food wasn't good and he took our plates he never returned either. We assumed he told the waiter. The waiter came over with the check. We explained that we barely touched our plates, how the food was cold, and how he never came to check-in with us. His response was .. okay pay the bill and don't tip me. I was completely appalled because 1. It's not about the money and 2. No accountability nor apology! Nonetheless, we paid the bill. An older guy who we learned use to wait there came over to talk to us. He apologized greatly and spoke about his waiting days. The do's and the don't's. He definitely lightened the mood but shame on the waiter MIGUEL. He was so rude and condescending. He couldn't care less about hospitality/ service. Brunch at Dinerbar was really good. It was a spot that I found randomly on Yelp while looking for brunch in the area. Parking is a little bit difficult so you may have to circle a few times or just wait around because people are coming in and out of the diner, so you will definitely be able to get one of their parks. Upon entry, we were greeted by the host and he was really nice. We also happened to meet the restaurant owner who was such a really sweet older man. He was from Greece. We were seated at booth as our party was of three. We had sangria on the table as well as the holiday mimosa which had cranberries rosemary and a candy cane on the glass. It tasted really good. We had pancakes with berries, the brunch burger, which had cheese and bacon, lettuce, and tomatoes, as well as the steak and eggs brunch entrée. Everything tasted so good. The burger was well prepared the french fries that came on the side were perfect not too soft not too hard and they weren't salty. The pancakes were the perfect amount of fluffiness and the berries were fresh that is always a plus. The steak was well prepared and the eggs, you can get the eggs however your want, so mine were scrambled hard. Overall we really enjoyed going to Dinebar and will definitely be return . I opted for the steak and mashed potatoes. It came with soup. I chose the manhattan clam clowder which tasted fine but wish it had more clams. The steak was perfectly cooked and the mashed potatoes and sauteed spinach were nice sides. The service was really friendly and efficient. Its a family friendly restaurant. The potato skins were leathery and the texture/flavor seemed like they had been sitting for a long time. The wait was about 5-10 mins, didn't seem that long because we were talking. On the way to our table, I am doing what everyone does, looking at other diners food, just to get an idea of what to eat. Spacing between tables is good, you don't feel like you are interrupting anyone by bumping into their table and such. As soon as we were seated, our waitress took our coffee order and we began looking at the menu. SO MUCH TO CHOOSE FROM! So I had the Fruity Pebbles French Toast and if you've ever loved Fruity Pebbles as a kid, this is it! I thought it would have been overly sweet but it was nicely done with the whipped cream and berries. A dab of regular syrup and I was tastefully pleased. My friend had the Waffle Deluxe that came with eggs, bacon, sausage and ham (which I ate). Their commentary on the waffles were, very light taste with a slight crunch on the ends. I will say the chicken noodle soup I had was a bit salty, but thats fine because its not the main event. I ordered salmon which came with mashed potatoes and veggies. The veggies and salmon were good, but the mashed potatoes tasted totally unseasoned. My friend did the cajun fettuccine pasta, which she reported was bland, as well. Stopped by Dinerbar to have Saturday brunch with a friend. She lives in Queens and I drove up to visit so this was the closest restaurant that I saw have good reviews. While I only had the beet salad and added grilled shrimp (which was so filling), I observed all of the other food that was coming out looking quite delish. My friend had the chicken and grits and she said it was really tasty and it was also equally as filling. The inside ambiance is very inviting. Honestly, you can be stylishly chic or casual and still comfortable. I love all of the red that makes the place pop. The service from everyone was accommodating. Everyone was kind and friendly. When we were being taken to our table, the host leading us noticed it had not been clean yet and immediately stopped us, asked us to a wait a sec while he got it cleaned up. We were the seated less than a minute later. Out waitress was patient as we looked through the menu - which honestly everything sounds so good you want everything. Of course, I settled on light (or I thought I was). Last note, surprisingly LOTS of vegetarian options. At least more than I typically see on a menu at a restaurant that is vegan.
