I met up with my girlfriend in the afternoon to grab a bite to eat, we both grew up going to Buccaneer's but hadn't been there in years, let me just say before continuing, their food is still excellent, delicious and served expeditiously. Our server was Vasili and he was very attentive and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. We will definitely be going back because there are some food items that I need to be reacquainted with again. Can't go wrong with the Mini Tacos or Loaded Nachos as an appetizer, we ordered both, and were not disappointed at all..

I stopped in here today for a quick breakfast, this place definitely has old school Greek diner vibes very original. Service was great quick and efficient. The breakfast was made to perfection they followed all of my requests and the home fries came out 10 out of 10. I will definitely be back when I am in the area.

A Gem as well as Monument in the decreasing of diners. Very unique and awesome theme They do very well with it. The inside is nothing short. The service was Unbelievably fast. Drinks came out then appetizers. Food came out soon after. Was shocked and amazed. Everything was delicious- no complaints. My friend enjoyed his meal as well. 5/5 A+++ , new favorite diner. First of all let me say the servers and other staff -even the busboys are all SO warm and welcoming! My daughter and I were visiting for a few days from out of town and wanted a late night meal so we went into Buccaneer Diner on a late Saturday. Glad we did because the food was just as good as the customer service The restaurant is very clean and we loved the 50's diner vibe. We had a club sandwich, sweet potato fries, pasta and carrot cake. I highly recommend this restaurant and will visit again. Thank you for the warm experience.

Classic breakfast is great. The parking for me, not so. Regulars are offered first even though I came earlier than them.

Service is great for the food. Not the parking. Priority for regulars even though they came later than me.

    Chicken Tenders

UPDATE: they were super accommodating and gave me a free slice of cheesecake which was pretty cool of them. Not going to lie, pretty disappointed. The chicken tenders were far from tender. They looked delicious at first glance from the outside but as soon as I picked it up, grease oozed out of the breading. It was rubbery tasting almost like microwaved dinosaur nuggets and the breading was lifted from them being refried or just poor quality. Not to mention I paid $25 dollars for chicken fingers and fries with a soda and they gave me 4 tenders and an insane amount of fries like an entire tray. With 4 greasy, rubbery, icky pieces of chicken. Also the chicken has a grayish undertone. Get the burger guys.

Went here during one of my past lives, it's not within the normal radius now. I also miss diners more broadly, haven"t had many occasions for spontaneous late-night BLTs. Insomniac-friendly hours and jukeboxes might be enough, and most newcomers would likely opt for breakfast over seafood combos. But based on my visit I'd definitely check out the specials. The chicken with rosemary had a powerfully juicy interior and a delightfully herby skin. The potatoes were great and even the celery was impressive. There was a soup-or-salad choice; I liked the avgolemono. The dish earned a notable compliment: a guy walked in, asked what I had and decided he'd get the same thing.

Since 1976 Nothing beats hot diner coffee and a slice of pie. Close to LGA with its own (big) parking lot! Everyone is always friendly and the lemon meringue pie is delish! They have an extensive menu and lots of seating, with on table CD 'juke boxes' gotta love that!!

A perfect patty melt expertly made! Delicious!

Outstanding food and service! It's a classic diner vibe with a giant menu. I didn't see a patty melt on the menu so I asked my waitress Mari if they had one. She cheerfully said "sure, I can get that made for you". So I had a PERFECT patty melt (no onions) with PERFECT crispy fries and the cole slaw, pickles and Russian dressing on the side. Walked in the super windy freezing cold from my hotel and I am so lucky I did! I had an delicious lunch! And by looking at the packed tables I'm not the only one who loves this place...

Food: 3.5/5 We made it a point to try a range of brunch options. My grandfather ordered the sweet potato and chorizo hash, I went with the two-egg combo with pork sausage (eggs over easy), and my husband chose the Moroccan eggs. Overall, the food was good and flavorful, especially if you enjoy dishes with a bit more nuance and influence from Spanish or Mexican flavors. That said, as someone who leans more toward classic American diner-style brunch, it didn't fully hit that nostalgic spot for me. It's not that anything was bad--it just wasn't the most memorable brunch I've had. Still, it was nice to explore a different side of their menu beyond the burgers, fries, and pasta we'd tried before. Service: 4/5 The staff were genuinely kind and welcoming, which made the experience pleasant. However, they do rely on a QR code-style menu, which can be a bit of a learning curve--especially for those who prefer a more traditional ordering experience. During the brunch rush, things definitely got busy and a bit overwhelmed, so service slowed down slightly. One tip: if you already know what you want, it's best to order everything upfront to avoid delays. Vibe: 3.5/5 Like many New York spots, space is tight. Even as a party of four, we were seated at a small square table, which could be challenging if you have strollers or extra belongings. That said, the space still feels cozy and neighborhood-friendly--great for a casual brunch, just not the most spacious. All in all, It's a solid neighborhood brunch spot with interesting, flavor-forward dishes and kind service. I wouldn't call it my top brunch destination, but I'd come back if I were in the area--especially if I was craving something a little different from the usual diner fare.

The atmosphere and ambience was warm and inviting, while people were engaging and having fun it never got too loud where you couldn't have a convo at your table. It was also still happy hour, so we enjoyed a few glasses of wine, the QR burger, and the Roast chicken breast. Both equal delicious. We also wanted to try the crab and avocado dip to share, but we weren't sure if the chips were safe for my friend to have, who has a GF allergy. Our waitress was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. The waitress knew which plates could be modified to accommodate dietary restrictions which was super helpful in decision making process. Overall the food, service, and atmosphere were great. Def a nice place to check out!
