    Avocado Toast
    Alyssa G.

We had a group of 6 that went in two weekends ago (Sunday at April 12th at 11:30am). We went out to celebrate a friend and they sat us down right away even though we were missing someone which was nice because I feel am there is always someone who runs late, let's keep it real lol. So the waitress who take care of our table was on point and helped us with the mocktail drink options and the food. The mocktail tasted like actual champagne or something of the sort it was great. The coffees were amazing as I was told from some of ladies who ordered some. And last but not least the food was great we got chicken and waffles too chickens sandwiches too Avocado toast with a fried egg. Not sure how much the bill was because one of the girls picked up the whole bill. But the music and vibes and everything were great. I definitely have told a few people it's a spot that I will be too and they should go too! Thank you for the great service and delicious food!

I'd probably give this a 4 but the restaurant week deal bumped it up a notch. For the deal, I got the: - lentil salad: refreshing vinaigrette, and I love when places do lentils well - roast chicken breast: it's hard of course to do breast well, but their combination of a light bbq marinade with the creamy orange sauce made this incredibly good. Still a bit dry given breast. The vegetables and the creamy polenta were great accompaniments. - chocolate cake: the lava cake was decent with the Gelato. We already got the steak frites; steak was served almost cold but cooked well. Fries were good and came with a BBQ like sauce. They offered ketchup and hot sauce. The like a virgin mocktail was very flavorful with an apparent orange taste.

Came here on Palm Sunday at 1:30p for brunch with a friend. We had a reservation just in case and glad i did because the place was packed. Earlier in the week there were no openings because they had two large parties but i messaged them in instagram bc that's unusual.... When i checked the weekend before they had plenty of openings. They quickly responded on IG AND they messaged me when the large party canceled and they had openings! So i made an open table reservation for Sunday at 1:30pm. Got the ice vanilla chai and fried chicken with biscuits and hot honey/gravy and fries. The sandwich was good but the mix of hot honey and gravy and breading was a bit much. The biscuit was good and so were the fries. The ice vanilla chai was AMAZING!! my friend had the halloumi fries and she said they were great. They have an extensive menu so I'd be happy to go back and try something else. And it's pretty affordable, i think my total was $35 with tip.

I came here on a weekday afternoon for brunch. The waitress was attentive and friendly. The decor is stunning with the blue and gold details. I ordered the Kale Caesar salad, steak and eggs and a side of hash browns. The food came quickly. The steak and eggs were cooked perfectly, the hashbrowns were so crispy and the salad was refreshing!

I had Queen's Room saved as a place I wanted to try, so I finally checked it out. My friend and I arrived during happy hour, which consists of drinks only, no food, unfortunately. However, I did like that happy hour runs until 7 PM, which is later than most places. For my drink, I tried the "bartender's choice" without knowing what would be in it, but the waitress mentioned it was tequila-based, which was perfectly fine with me. The drink was light and smooth, and I could taste hints of mint or cucumber--it had a familiar, refreshing flavor. For an appetizer, we tried the avocado and crab dip (served cold), and it was just okay--not something I would order again. The presentation wasn't what I expected, and I was also expecting chunks of crab, but it was more finely mixed in. I do appreciate that they used real crab instead of imitation. For my entrée, I had the cacio e pepe with grilled chicken, and it was good. My friend had a hamburger and enjoyed it as well. A couple of observations: I came here around 4:30 PM on a Friday, and there were quite a few kids. At one point, a child was running around in the back and fell, though thankfully they were okay. The same parents were at the bar and had their child sitting there while they talked, which felt a bit inappropriate given the setting. After they left, another family with small children came in. The staff was polite and professional. The wait time wasn't long, and you can tell the team supports one another, which helps the business run smoothly.

Rounded up to 5 after a discussion with a family member We discussed our meal during our walk from the restaurant. After I shared that I was considering a 4 or 5 rating, a family member strongly suggested at our meal deserved a 5 rating. The room is comfortable (indoor and outdoor seating is available). They offer a seasonal menu and just switched to a Spring menu. We were able to order French Onion Soup (from the Winter menu). The Burger was also quite good. The service was attentive.

QR has a great burger and chicken sandwich and that's the reason why I'm here. These two menu items are a MUST. QR also very well known for their brunch menu. Love their laid back atmosphere and bubbly staff. Overall a lovely local spot.

Went to Queens room for brunch on a Sunday and the wait was about 30 min. We got the shakshouka and the burger/fries. Burger was pretty good and juicy and fries are good almost all the time. I like the hummus on the shakshouka but separately it was more on the ok side. Would come back but might try other things.

My friend reserved a table for four at 1:30. We arrived around 1:15, but the hostess asked us to wait until 1:30, despite some tables marked 'reserved' being empty. The lack of warmth in the greeting was noticeable. We stood near the door for about twenty minutes before finally being seated. The waitress was friendly, but unexpectedly, the busboy took our order. The menu piqued our interest, and we decided on "chicken with no waffles." My husband's pancake was clearly burnt, so we sent it back. They replaced it quickly and without any fuss. The chicken's breading was so tough that it was hard to cut with a normal knife. The biscuits were delicious, and overall, the food was good and nicely presented. During cleanup, the busboy accidentally picked up syrup-soaked silverware from plates over my husband, causing syrup to drip on him. Overall, it was a mixed experience--good service at times, but with some issues. I don't understand why this place has high ratings; they really need to train the hostess to be more attentive and caring. There was a noticeable unwelcomed feeling throughout the brunch, which is disappointing, especially since first impressions matter.

We had a wonderful lunch at QR on. Tuesday afternoon. Their lunch hours are until 3pm and the menu has a nice variety of breakfast and lunch items. I ordered the Pear Salad and added crumbled herbed goat cheese (so very yum!) and grilled shrimps. My partner ordered the Chubby Chicken Sandwich which came with fries. It was huge and he enjoyed it very much so, to the very last bite! He also got a side of the escarole salad which was served warm. It is a little spicy as they add chili flakes but it wasn't overpowering. It also has diced red shallots which the menu doesn't explicitly state, just an FYI if you are not into onions! Service was overall great and their is definitely always a great vibe at QR, with customers coming to dine indoors, outdoors, or at the bar! Oh they also serve Shakshuka which I am planning on ordering next! Cheers to good health and good eats! -Susan

We came here for brunch and, even though I didn't make a reservation, we arrived early enough to get in without much trouble. We sat at the bar and put our name in for a table, and luckily we were seated not long after. The staff was very friendly and worked well together, which made the experience even better. The food was amazing, and everything came out great. If I'm ever back in the area, I would definitely return. Cute spot

Chocolate chip in a skillet delicious!

The QR burger and hand cut fries lived up to the hype! It was so delicious, and the we will definitely come back to order it again! We also each ordered the French Onion soup for our appetizer, but it wasn't good. It needed more cheese and onions. The onions it did have were small and overly mushy. The Cacio e Pepe tortellini dinner was very good and cheesy! It was a comforting dish. For dessert we all loved the homemade chocolate chip in a skillet! The other dessert we had was the warm chocolate cake which wasn't homemade and not worth ordering. I recommend Queen's Room in Astoria and try their QR Burger and hand cut fries!

Bookmarked this place sooooo many years ago and finally got around to trying it and wow. I'm sad it took me this long to try it. The brunch was excellent, and going on my favorite brunch spots in NY list. The thing to get here is the chicken and not waffles, which is essentially chicken and pancakes. Everything is stellar - soft, fluffy pancakes but not soggy, with an airy texture and sweet and somewhat savory flavor. The crunchy, fried crispy chicken thigh adding a nice savoriness. The biscuits were fresh and cloudlike, delightful. The Turkish Eggs were a sleeper hit and you MUST get it. It is tangy, creamy, but also mildly dense, with a nice spiciness and light savoriness running through it. Wow. Not like many things I've had before at a brunch spot. Even the salad was delicious, and the chicken was tender, with all of the salad components at their optimal texture. EXCELLENT work, Queens Room!

Our group came here to celebrate a happy occasion with such good vibes, so the vibes were definitely off the charts. The little "dance floor" they carved out in the middle barely suffices as one, but I guess they really made do with what they had. They definitely try to overpack this place to the max. Food was amazing, though. We ordered a bunch of appetizers to share, like the yuca corquettes (probably my favorite), coconut shrimp, shrimp ceviche, guac, and the tostones rellones. They were all so, so good and not overly expensive, that we made another order of everything. My drink (Mori Sanado) was very good and came with a cute fish-shaped glass. It's an overstimulating place, to say the least, so I'd mentally prepare for that alone. Since we came on a Saturday night, it was expected that it was a party vibe but I expect it's the same during brunch. You really do have to come with good company to be able to slightly enjoy this place. I wouldn't come here with people that I expect to have a conversation with, because you really can't hear anything.

The food was nonexistent, the service bad, and the ambiance was lacking! Do so much better! No thumbs for Boske, will not return. I do NOT recommend.
