Walked through the open window at Bar Dalia while looking for a local spot to grab an after work drink. I spied the featured mezcal Agua Fresca on their menu and immediately knew it was going to be a mezcalita happy hour for me. Their closed in patio out back was the perfect setting for the first pseudo summer day we've had this year. Looking forward to going back when it gets proper warm. read more

A cozy little bar that serves MOCKTAILS! I don't drink, so it's nice to find a bar that has more than just one option for nonalcoholic beverages. The inside is very cozy but can easily get super loud! They also have a patio in the back. I met a friend here last night (Friday) and we chose the patio as a more quiet option. It has a lot of tables and they also have heaters that they can turn on. They actually asked us multiple times if we wanted them on, which was super nice of them! read more

Bar Dalia is a solid bar but I wouldn't say that they have an actual HH if it's only $2 off drinks as their discount. I had the sloe pasión which was quite tasty & strong. As I had dinner plans afterwards I didn't try any food but I wouldn't be opposed to it if I was back in the area. read more

The drinks here are so good. It just gets super crowded really fast which can make it not so easy to order -- a waiter actually came to serve us at the bar which was unique. The interior is nice and lovely. It gets pretty loud as dinner time progresses. They have a happy hour that ends at 7pm, and we got there in the nick of time. Between two people, we got the shareables - guac and chips, brussel sprouts with bacon, and chorizo. I got full from munching on everything. Guac was a healthy serving size and I loved it. It had the kick you needed. Chorizo was nice and cheesy, and I ultimately combined the guac and chorizo together. Brussel sprouts were nicely charred and sweet with honey. Solid bar - but be warned that there's one bathroom for the entire place, so be prepared to wait in line for some time if you need to use it. I had the coquito, which was good but not great. I've never been disappointed here! The cocktails (and mocktails) and happy hour food specials have all been good. I recommend the Elderflower Spritz and crispy artichoke hearts. The lighting was a little too dim for my liking and there were only 3 fans in the back area so it got pretty hot. The server was efficient and pleasant. The best thing I liked about this place was the food. They had the BEST guacamole I've ever had (and I'm an avocado afficionado). The empanadas were also delicious. I had both beef and veggie and they were equally good. The yuca fries were seasoned to perfection and were the perfect texture, as well as, the chicken skewers. Great drinks and snacks for a happy hour moment. Came her with a friend around 5pm on a Saturday for happy hour and wasn't super busy. Started to get busier around 6:30/7pm. Drinks were great - definitely recommend the hot cider with spiced rum while in season. The mezcal spritzer was also great with the lychee flavoring. Empanadas and yucca fries were great for their price/portion considering it is a bar. Guacamole was great, chips fresh and seasoned nicely. Churros are a must try if you have a craving for dessert! Only issue was the server forgot our order and we waited for our empanada and fries for about 45 minutes. Thought it was just a longer wait until we noticed him serving food to another table. Was told "the connection on the device didn't work" and within minutes our food was brought out. When we ordered churros, they also came out within 5 minutes. This place is not like others the bar is wonderfully put together and drinks are made by mixologist this alone has me sold! Under the bar there are hooks for bags and coats which is convenient. I'm giving two stars because the first time I went the service was fine and the cocktail was good. But the second time I went, around 10:30pm on a weeknight for a night cap, the bartender was absolutely hammered and heckled me and my date enough for us to not want to drink there. If you're looking for great service/food/drinks, then this is a spot you have to check out. My wife and I were walking around the neighborhood when we came across this place. The hostess was very warm and welcoming and convinced us that it would be a great idea to swing by another time. When we got in they were able to seat us in the outdoor area they have in the back. The setup is very cute and my wife and I definitely felt that it was safe to dine. Throughout the night the service was on point. I also really liked how chill the music they played in the background was too. The cocktails we ordered had great flavor and were just what we needed. The food was also really good. The chicharrón is the softest and juiciest I've ever had in my life! The empanadas had great flavor as well. Highly recommend you come check this place out! While I still enjoy this place, the handful of times I've been there recently, the service has been extremely slow. The staff is friendly but it takes forever to place and receive an order. Hire more staff!! The food also leaves more to be desired. After trying 3-4 dishes that are amazing, the rest of the dishes pale in comparison. read more

WONDERFUL spot. Amazing cocktail list, I've been impressed and enjoyed every drink that I've gotten. In a city where cocktails can be charged insane amounts and taste like shit, it's nice to go to place with a more reasonable price ($14 for most) and they all taste excellent. The food here is more for light bites -- you could make a full meal of it, but I'd go here to just grab a quick app. The Chorizo and corn are two highlights from the ones I've had. Only down side is no physical menus and they don't give you a physical check at the end of the night... instead, they come up to you with a credit card machine and it's really awkward. I had such a lovely birthday celebration at Bar Dalia! They were easily able to accommodate my group of about 20 for a back patio reservation, where we had a nice amount of privacy to hang out. Setting up the reservation with Bryan was seamless, and our servers Rachel and BJ were really great. The food and drinks were all a hit with guests, and we were also allowed to bring a cake! Crowd favorites included: crab cakes, veggie empanadas, roasted corn, strawberry and raspberry frozen margaritas, house shots, and my personal favorite is the elderflower spritz. It was pretty hot out, but we were able to make do with the fans they had running on the patio, and the inside of the bar has good AC. The staff had also been informed that I would be getting engaged that day, and it was really sweet how excited everyone was about it. I would definitely recommend hosting an event here or just stopping by for food and/or drinks. Thank you all so much for making my day so special! read more

This was a wonderful weekend find! We love the Astoria food scene and coming here on a Saturday night was a total delight. 5/5 on food, drinks, ambience, and service! We ordered tapas style and got the roasted corn, maduros, empanadas, shishito peppers, pork, and chips & guac (roughly in order of how much I liked them)! Each of us agreed every dish was delicious, even if our tier lists were different. but you've gotta come and you've gotta order the roasted corn. For cocktails we had the My Novia (bright pink! coconut!) and the pineapple old fashioned (smoky, refined). Both were delicious, though the old fashioned paired better with the food. The ambience was comfortable (cute, covid comfortable back patio) and the service was excellent and attentive. We'll be back!! read more
