I've been here twice on Friday R&B nights. If it wasn't to celebrate a family member both times I wouldn't have went back. The staff are rude, not welcoming at all. They are very selective who they choose to help and be nice too. You would think it's a given to be welcomed when you spend 3K for bottle service with your group. Then they block off all the parking spaces and tell you to move your car for "VIP" people spending money and buying a section isn't considered VIP? This place gets crowded at a certain time and it's more people standing around watching then enjoying themselves. One good thing the music was good. read more

Lived in this neighborhood for 20+ years and have never heard gunshots until this place does whatever it does. Never been woken up at 4am EVERY weekend. Every Friday evening = no sleep, no peace, total chaos once their event finishes. Absolutely no consideration for the residents in the area. People constantly blast music from their cars parked on sidewalks, get into fights, and scream at the top of their lungs at 3:00AM. This new restaurant is a must go! Super chic and classy ambience, amazing vibe and great staff. All my group went for seafood, whole fish, octopus seafood pasta and shrimp santorini, all tasting amazing! My favorite thing is their wine list, amazing selection, and the server helped us to pair it with our food! For sure nothing like this around here, more than food and drinks, was a great experience! If I could rate zero stars I would. Went to Anemos with a group of people and used their valet parking - one month later I got a ticket in the mail for my car being parked at a bus stop that night. Continously called them and left messages but never heard back. read more

Their events regularly cause traffic jams in front of their establishment that last from 2am till 5am, which causes incessant honking during those hours. Their patrons also bring the party outside and crank their car stereos to the point where it causes nearby apartments to shake. This place is completely surrounded by apartments, but they have zero consideration for their neighbors and seem to do nothing about managing a situation that leaves anyone living nearby sleepless almost every weekend. read more

We went NYE and we had prefix menu honesty the food took little while but as businessman perspective everyone set down at a the same time so it was ok the delay. I know people got a little upset but u can't feed 250 mouths at the same time. Musik was amazing drinks on time. No complains. read more

Hubby and I live right up the block-500 feet to be exact and we decided to drop by and give it a try. It totally exceeded our expectations - gorgeous atmosphere, fresh ingredients and utmost hospitality. We had a few appetizers and one entree; we didn't want a full course meal. We had saganaki (fried cheese), a crab cake (fresh and sooo delicious) and a salmon filet served over rice pilaf (yum!) My partner and I visited Anemos last Saturday. We were skeptical at first but we finally decided to give it a chance. The place is very spacious, chic, simple and modern. They had live music but keep in mind that it's greek restaurant so it's all greek music which I personally enjoyed and it didn't bother me at all. At first, we sat at the bar since we didn't reserve a table ahead of time. The bartender, Cesar was very nice, professional and accommodating. Now, I'm moving on to the food. We mainly ordered appetizers since it was late at night and we didn't want to go crazy. This is the list of food we had: - Calamari: We ordered grilled calamari. It was flavorful and garlicy just the way I love it. It was a good portion. - Octopus: I'm very picky when it comes to Octopus. It can go either way. But the octopus here melts in the mouth. It wasn't chewy at all. It also had a hummus dip to give it that oumph. Octopus here will definitely drag me back to this restaurant. - Grilled Jumbo Gulf Shrimp: The shrimp was cooked and seasoned to perfection. We also had a side order of tzatziki sauce. The tzatziki wasn't the greatest but it served its purpose. - Greek Fries: What can I say about fries in general ? The fries were great. They weren't oily at all and well seasoned and some Feta cheese on top. Loved it. - Baklava: The baklava was really good and it was also served with greek yogurt on the side. I personally didn't care for that greek yogurt. Yet, I do understand that they wanted to balance out the flavors. Conclusion: The place is elegant and sophisticated. The atmosphere is loud especially Fridays and Saturdays since they have live music. The food is great. The service was righteous. Overall I would definitely go back and I would highly recommend trying out this spot. read more

Anemos Estiatorio is the place to go to for amazing Mediterranean food, ambiance and atmosphere. This upscale restaurant is just beautifully designed and built. The wine room is gorgeous. The wines are nestled inside a surrounding glass space. The details throughout the restaurant will not go unnoticed! The staff is super friendly and the drinks are delicious. Now for the food I must say I have been here 2 times so far and it did not disappoint. The mussels, octopus stifado, zucchini & eggplant chips and shrimp santorini were on top of my list. The appetizer spreads were also a delicious starter. The lavraki fish was super fresh was cooked perfectly. The sides such as Greek fries and horta (steamed wild greens) that accompanied my meal were the perfect pair. This place has it all! Beautiful design, live music on Friday & Saturday, tasty drinks, delicious food and a great ambiance. There is also valet parking available which is another plus! read more

I found this place gorgeous and fancy to hang out and have dinner or celebrate something different while I'm in Astoria. I'm a seafood lover and the Seafood pasta or the Red Snapper fish is the best you can try here, honestly, is great... Prices are good. Went there last to try some good Greek cuisine and not have to drive to Manhattan. Let me tell you, this place is a breath of fresh air. It has impeccable service from the minute you walk in you're greeted by a lovely hostess and a older gentleman that looks like a manager / owner. Then you can enjoy a drink or two at their bar that has pretty solid selection from your every day choices to blue label (our favorite). Since my husband doesnt drink and drive we didnt take advantage of the bar and went straight to our table. We had a perfect table across from the stage where they have a live band with a beautiful singer performing. Ambiance of the entire restaurant just makes you forget you are in Astoria, it feels like you're in a different world where people are mingling, drinks are coming, music is playing and you are catered to like royalty. They start you off with delicious bread(maybe of it was warm it might be better)and olive mix in oil. We ordered following: Chardonnay (for me), Assortment of spreads( really good and fresh) pita was nice and hot. Grilled calamari, AMAZING PARTY IN YOUR MOUTH!!! Greek salad which was so refreshing and delicious . Eggplant/Zucchini chips are addicting! So so good! At this point we were full, portions are decent, enough to share if you are coming with friends. We will definitely come back and will explore the rest of the menu. I definitely recommend everyone to try this amazing establishment. This is the new gem of the area! I visited this place last Friday with my friends and I have to say, we were all left amazed. Starting off with the food, all of our dishes were exquisite. For the appetizer, I ordered "avgolemono", a greek soup which was perfect, especially when considering the cold outside. For the main course, we all ordered all our dishes were delicious, but my personal recommendation would be the steak. Finally, we ordered a variety of desserts and I still cannot decide which one was my favorite, they were all delightful. We also opened a bottle of wine from a wide range of bottles available and on display in a beautiful glass cellar. After our dinner, we decided to stay for the night to enjoy the live show, and it did not disappoint. We all had a fantastic time and without realizing it we were dancing and having fun until the early hours. I can safely now recommend this place to everyone! I might even celebrate my birthday here, my friends and family will love it. read more
