Crab cake

Hubby and I live right up the block-500 feet to be exact and we decided to drop by and give it a try. It totally exceeded our expectations - gorgeous atmosphere, fresh ingredients and utmost hospitality. We had a few appetizers and one entree; we didn't want a full course meal. We had saganaki (fried cheese), a crab cake (fresh and sooo delicious) and a salmon filet served over rice pilaf (yum!) Also, we each had a glass of sparkling white wine that had a yummy caramel aftertaste. The owner and staff were very engaging as well. Good luck and best wishes guys !

I think after the virus you should turn your restaurant into a diner you will have a lot more customers all day and every day

Great spot for dancing and delicious food! The Greek salad and calamari was very tasty. The saganaki was made to perfection.

Nice place. Staff was polite. Food was ok. Portions were small. Owner seems like a nice guy.

They had live music but keep in mind that it's greek restaurant so it's all greek music which I personally enjoyed and it didn't bother me at all.

Beautiful restaurant with illuminated marble throughout including the tables and walls. Somebody…read morespent a lot of money to decorate this restaurant. What is a little unusual for a place this beautiful is they have TVs along the walls. This night guests were enjoying the World Cup. They also have outside seating. The food was very good to excellent. We enjoyed the octopus, hummus, tuna avacado, and the fried zucchini. The wine served by the glass or bottle was tasty and everybody enjoyed their main courses, including Lamb, short ribs, & chicken kabob. Service was good until the restaurant got busy and then our waitress disappeared for a bit. Bookmarked!

one star for the food, the avocado feta dip specifically was amazing…read more as for the rest of the service, it was beyond terrible. we had a 6:45 reservation and were seated by 6:49 pm. the hostess did not even give us water for the table for 25-30 minutes when we were finally able to get her attention after trying multiple times to speak to our waitress who ignored us. when we asked to place an order for drinks, the hostess told us she would send the waitress over but it took another 20 minutes until someone who I assume was the manager approached and took our drink orders, which he told us would be on the house. within 5 minutes, two of our drinks arrived but one was still missing. it did not get served for 20-25 minutes after the other two drinks came and the ice was mostly melted at that point. all in all, we did not even place our orders until 7:38 pm, nearly an hour after sitting. in between, we finally were able to get the waitress to stop at our table where we put in some appetizers and other meal orders. highly recommend if you find yourself in this restaurant to order the tzatziki and the avocado feta dip. we also had the spicy feta but it was a but too spicy for me personally (still good though) and the pita was great. our order mostly came out except for the sushi roll which was strange since the rest of the order was pasta/hot dishes. we had to follow up for the sushi roll which was eventually delivered a bit after we asked about it. my biggest issue was when I asked the server if I could place an order for a tommy's margarita which is a known type of cocktail and made a specific way. the waitress said she was unfamiliar and brought the bartender out to ask who was immediately rude to me with quite an attitude. she began to explain to me that tommy's margaritas are the same as any type of margarita which I know not to be true from many other establishments (and even a basic google search will show). I did not appreciate the way she spoke to me and the attitude I received to the point my friends and I were in shock and after paying left most of our last drinks on the table because we had had such a poor experience at this restaurant. I understand it was one of the first nice days here in NYC and there were a lot of people sitting outside. I cannot believe that we did not even speak to our waitress until over an hour after sitting down. typically you at least stop by the table quickly to apologize and get a drink order. while I can be accommodating to the fact that the waitress said she was new, and she was apologetic as well as the manager's offer to comp one round of drinks, I am not understanding of the bartender's approach to argue with me about how a drink is made. cannot recommend going here until they get better service.

Delicious!! I was here for lunch, end of February 2026. We…read morewere a table of 8 people. Food and service were excellent. I definitely recommend enjoying a meal here. Located on First Avenue, between 61-62nd Streets. In warm weather, there are a few small outdoor tables. We have several appetizers for the table. We enjoyed the fresh, beautiful salad. Several of my colleagues were very impressed with the olive oil on the salad. I just know that all the food I ate was delicious. LOL ABOUT THAT SALAD--the beautiful red tomatoes, cut in quarter chunks were delicious. The round, thin slices of cucumber with a yummy dressing were great. I tasted a bit of sweetness at first bite with the cucumber slices . My faves were the tomatoes and cucumbers in the salad, there was also fresh red onion, green pepper, possibly red pepper too. Overall, a delicious salad, served feta cheese triangles. Other appetizers we enjoyed were: Spinach pie, fresh warm Pita triangles with delicious dips, a round, deep fried feta cheese ...if you can imagine an egg roll, but with feta cheese inside, and a honey sauce. my entrée was absolutely delicious. It was the Koftedes Plate, featuring delicious lamb/beef patties, juicy and delicious. As far as I was concerned, my flavor on these was totally lamb. Absolutely delicious. Also on the plate: mixed greens, red pepper delicious tzatziki sauce in a small dipping cup-perfect size. And a yummy rice portion-loved it! The lamb patties were on top of the warm pita. I loved this.!! It was flavorful, juicy, and delicious. Many of my colleagues ordered the chicken kebabs and they loved it. The plates also had mixed greens and a sauce. And one person had the dorado fish which she said was delicious; a small size portion size but delicious. I missed seeing the fish, I was busy eating the yummy food in front of us. Sorry, I didn't photo the fish. I look forward to coming back. I might even have the same thing again! It was so good. Service was excellent, friendly, fun and professional and patient. Atmosphere in the restaurant was lovely. Unisex rest room was clean, and small. On the street, You'll see flowers surrounding the front windows and entrance. And, in nice weather, there are usually a few small tables outside. Sea Salt Restaurant is located on First Avenue between E. 61st St. and E. 62nd St. It is across the street from Rodney's, formally called Rodney Dangerfield's club. Half a block away you will see the orange sign of Home Depot. And about a block and a half away, you will see Trader Joe's located under the 59th St., Bridge. So if you need a reason to come to FIRST AVENUE..., you have Trader Joe's and Home Depot waiting for you, and Rodney's too, and a nearby Starbucks. See my photos of the February 2026 menu and some of the food we all enjoyed. I recommend this restaurant. They do serve alcohol. We did not partake in alcoholic beverages. Soda by the can was enjoyed.

Cute spot on the UES. We came here for brunch and it was not too crowded on a Saturday afternoon…read more The interior was stunning and thoughtfully decorated. We ordered the pancakes, burger, and lamb kebab wrap. The wrap was tasty and packed with colorful veggies. The burger was cooked well and the patty was juicy. My boyfriend asked for everything on the side, so just a heads up that the burger does not normally come like it does in the picture. The pancakes were decent, not bad, but nothing especially memorable.
