Spanakopita, Greek Salad, and Falafel
Jess L.

My friends and I got a weekday lunch here. The waiter was mildly attentive, a little less so as more people showed up. I've never seen this before, but our bill was a total, and there's mention of a "cash discount" (instead of a 3% charge for credit card). We were prepared to pay cash, so this flip in language we've seen elsewhere was a little odd. Food was pretty good. I really liked the spinach-heavy spanikopita and hummus. Bright, airy spot.

Oo Delicious. Came over for a work party. I had a big lunch so I only tried apps, desserts and drinks--everything but the entrees looked good too! My fave had 2 limoncello spritz, so good. Prompt service and the servers were cute. Also Cute dim aesthetic. Would come back soon!

I'm still dreaming about the scallops and risotto. Everything here was delicious. I had the octopus and the scallops/risotto and both were delicious! They were out of chocolate lava cake when we went (bummer) but I'm sure it would of been delicious.

Sea salt is a great Mediterranean stop in the upper eastside of nyc. We paired it with Serendipity for dessert, which was just a 6 minute walk away. The restaurant was a little expensive for lunch in my opinion, but it was still a great experience overall. GLOWS: -Service was excellent! - The restaurant is very cute with an intimate vibe. I recommend sitting away from the windows on a chillier day. -The greek salad is authentic (just cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, and olives) -Delicious spanakopita and tuna Tartare

Love coming here after work for some happy hour drinks and appetizers. The atmosphere is very beautiful and I love the decorations. The food is delicious and the drinks are tasty. They are very attentive and sat us down right away without a reservation. I would definitely recommend.

As I sit here with a super full belly, it is my pleasure to say how much enjoyed my experience here. When we showed up, the place was empty but I was not deterred because the menu had me written all over it. Unfortunately, I couldn't try everything I wanted but our server helped me pick the most delicious dishes. The Tuna Tartar was so fresh and delicious. The hint of lemon was the perfect touch. The portion size was just right to get ready for my chicken mushroom pasta. It was so light and perfectly flavored. My drink was made to perfection. Our server took such great care of us. I highly recommend this place. The prices weren't bad, the service was great and the it made for a great date.

I was pretty nervous about coming here. The reviews were great, but we had on a whim so we can be close to the Roosevelt island tram with two young children. It was lunchtime on a Monday is very quiet with only three tables. As soon as we sat down, I thought the prices were a little steep for lunch. Nonetheless, we had already selected the restaurant. My review lost a star because we waited almost an hour for our food to come including bread. The waiter never checked in with us to let us know. However, the food blew me away. If this is what Greece is supposed to be like I want to fly there now. All of the dishes were truly authentic and nothing like many of the Greek food I have ever had. Hummus was not even a highlight on the appetizers. There were a lot of dishes that I had never tried before. One of them was the beef yogurt dumplings. I thought it was such a strange concept, but it turned out to be one of my favorite dishes. The fried cheese was spot on. The bread balanced it. I also really enjoyed the moussaka. The only dish that I would not get again is the fish. I thought it was a little standard. What turned out to be a random try turned out to be something that I would return to in the future if I want a real Greek food experience. I just hope that the service would be better and quicker.

I came here for brunch and it was a great experience! I love the outdoor decor and inside is lovely as well! The food was super fresh and I looove the bread they give you to start and the olives were amazing. They have a great happy hour and unlimited brunch booze specials!! The service was amazing too!

I enjoyed my visit at Sea Salt. The branzino was cooked nicely and very flavorful. Brussels sprouts were good and cooked well. Service was good. Ambiance is very pretty and decorated nicely.

(4.5 review) Our friend recommended us this place, to meet for our girls date. We went on a Wednesday evening around 630pm and were seated right away at a table in a corner for 3. The place looked sophisticated. The bar was vast, and tables had enough privacy from each other. Once the whole party joined, we all ordered a different drink to toast. It was a bummer we waited a longer than usual time for them to come out. The wait was a little ridiculous for drinks in a half empty restaurant. Other than that the service was pretty great. The waiters were very cordial. Once the drinks arrived ($16-$18) I was impressed with a beet/ pomegranate drink I ordered. The flavors weren't overpowering, it was delicious to drink. For appetizers we ordered the Mezze Sampler which was 3 different types of hummus and well made pita bread ($25) Our absolute favorite was the red pepper walnut spread. We also ordered Spanakopita ($16) which is a traditional Greek pie of spinach, feta cheese and seasonings baked in phyllo. It melted in your mouth! So so good. For main me and one of my friends had Veggie Pasta ($19) and our other friend had Mussels ($19). She noted the mussels tasted like the sea, but in a good way. The portions were reasonable, so we ended up too full to try desserts. I would however like to go back and try other items on the menu as well as dessert next time around.

I stopped in at this restaurant for brunch. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked into a cute restaurant and was greeted. Christian was my server and he was good. I ordered the smokey old fashioned and that was tasty. For my meal I had: Sea Scallops with squid ink risotto Sautéed chicken with mushroom pasta Shrimp santorini The food was delicious with the pasta being my favorite dish. All in all I had great experience!

I pass by this restaurant all the time when I'm walking to and from the gym. I always admired the floral decor at the entrance. Today I finally got to try out the restaurant during its happy hour mid-afternoon. I'm not a drinker but I was interested in the food menu and was impressed with each dish I tried. My friend and I shared basically the entire happy hour food menu. It's a very good value in a clean and modern setting with courteous and attentive service. By the time we were done, the place had filled up (and it was only a little past 5pm). We saw a lot of good looking dishes and were happy to learn brunch, lunch, and dinner service are also offered here. It is quite an inviting atmosphere and I will definitely be coming back even if it's not happy hour.

Tasty food and drinks, kind staff, quick service, comfortable seating, and pretty decor both inside and outside.

I was warmly greeted by the gentleman at the door (5 service there), which set a great first impression. However, as soon as I walked downstairs, it felt like the space had lost its speakeasy vibe. I was seated right near the stairs and could feel cold air from outside every time the door opened, which made the experience uncomfortable. I was also surprised to see how much the cocktail menu had been reduced. When I asked about it, the response was that "the place changed a lot." That's fair -- places evolve -- but instead of highlighting the improvements or new strengths, the explanation focused negatively on what the bar used to be. As someone who really enjoyed the former version, that wasn't reassuring. Unfortunately, the drinks themselves didn't make up for it. One of the two cocktails was simply not good. No one came back to check on the drinks, and when I asked for the check after about 20 minutes, there was no acknowledgment that I had barely touched mine or any inquiry about my experience. Overall, a place I once enjoyed and recommended now feels more like a standard dive bar where " Mixologist " were replaced by bartender and were fun cool looking and tasty drinks were replaced by " less complex cocktail ", lacking the warmth and attention to detail that once made it special.

Easy to find if you know what you're looking for, if you arrive right at 5pm on a cold weeknight in the winter, you'll easily find a table or seat at the bar. Very cute space, cozy like everyone says, but nothing mind blowing. Music is moderately loud. The menu in early February still included their winter holiday cocktails. I was more interested in the apple sage house-made fermented soda, and it was pretty good-large glass, flavorful and not too sweet. My friend enjoyed her pomegranate version. The space started to fill up at around 5:30. Service was polite when you could get it, but generally very inattentive, even before it got busy. It honestly didn't feel too different from anu other very nice NYC bar, in terms of menu selection, prices, ambiance and service. Maybe that's standard for NYC speakeasies, but the places I frequented in other cities were more fun and felt more worth the price. I'll still give another NYC spot a try, but not coming back to Thyme.

They're experimental, whimsical, delicious, and worth every penny. My absolute favorite is Child of Light, and my BF's was High Frequency Device. The interior was dimly lit, with a couple of candles per table or counter. It's a perfect place for a date night. And while there may be a wait on busier nights, it's always worth the wait. We were sat at the bar once and were very well taken care of by our bartender, Nikola. It was a Sunday night, so it wasn't terribly busy. We chatted up a storm and he was able to create some drinks off the menu just for fun (on request). He also made my BF and me a couple of drinks to celebrate our anniversary too. Wonderful people and wonderful service. Needless to say, we will be back as frequently as we can!

It was dark when we entered the coffee shop but an ajar door gave way to the bar. The decor is a homage to the works of Nikola Tesla, which can be seen in the subtle electric theme throughout the space and the naming of the cocktails. The space isn't too large - the bar and stools take up most of the space but they also have some booths/tables. The place looks great. The cocktail menu is very creative - I got one of their seasonal mixes that was actually two drinks in one. The main cocktail was meant to be sipped first and they provided a small glass of beer to be sipped after. The name escapes me but it was very good. Since we had cocktails at dinner, we only stayed for one round. Service was good, and overall I enjoyed my time at Patent Pending. I would definitely return to explore more of their menu.

Stepping into this place feels like you're in some secret, super special cocktail club. Decor is super high end, vibes are upscale AF. The cocktail menu is incredible -- and incredibly pricey, but truly worth it. I ordered the Valentino which was strong and sweet, really well made. The mint Moroccan tea gave the drink a cool, refreshing taste on every sip. I also tried the Silver Screen, the closest drink I could find to an old fashioned. It was interesting, there was definitely a hint of a buttery taste. Overall a really balanced bourbon drink. I walked in and found room at the standing tables. It somehow manages to feel both refined and relaxed at the same time. The kind of place where you half expect to spot Hemingway in the corner pretending not to eavesdrop. We started with half a dozen oysters, which were fresh, briny, and exactly what you want with serious cocktails. Crisp, clean, gone in about three minutes. For drinks, we ordered the Smoke Show and the King Tusk. The Smoke Show was beautifully balanced. The Grey Goose vodka and Dolin Dry gave it that classic martini backbone, but the fino sherry and brine added depth. The smoked olive oil and blue cheese olive brought just enough savory drama without overpowering the glass. It was complex but not fussy. The King Tusk leaned more aromatic and layered. The vermouths gave it richness, while the Buddha's Hand and osmanthus flower added subtle citrus and floral notes that lingered in a really elegant way. It felt like a cocktail designed to be savored slowly. The music fit the mood perfectly, not too loud, just enough to give the room energy without killing conversation. Overall, it's a great spot if you want elevated drinks in a space that feels transportive without being pretentious. Definitely a place I'd come back to when I'm in the mood for a refined, slightly cinematic night out in Flatiron.
