I walk by this place all the time and finally came in for a late dinner. Everything was great!! We sat outside and ordered: - spicy feta cheese: I really liked this. We needed extra pita though. - zucchini pancakes: I was surprised by how much I liked these. They were probably my favorite thing I ate all night. - falafel platter: I was kind of thrown off that these were flat and not in ball form like I'm used to. - mixed platter: good amount of meat but enough to split for 2 people in addition to the apps we ordered - meet me in Mykonos cocktail: a little sweet for me but a nice spin on an Aperol spritz. - margarita Service was great! I'd definitely come back.

This Mediterranean-style restaurant offers outdoor and indoor seating, but we couldn't get an outdoor table due to the heavy wind. Everything was flying. We stayed indoors because I don't want my food flying all over. I prefer the food to fly from the kitchen to my plate, but that wouldn't happen. Yasin was our waiter. He and the team did a great job. The restaurant was beautiful, and the food was excellent. Hubby had a burger, and I had a chicken dish. Our friends ordered tuna and branzino. Presentation-wise, our food looked amazing. Taste-wise, our meals were excellent! Even the mashed potatoes I don't usually eat had a pleasant taste that went well with the chicken. Try it!

Butter Poached Lobster Tail With Grilled Corn. $38. Nice sauce. Unfortunately, the lobster was way overcooked

I was here with a group to this nice looking Mediterranean place on the Upper East Side a good while ago. I remember there being issues in terms of how long it took for dishes to be served along with some issues with someone's dish due to their allergies which led to us getting free baklava which was a good thing as it was my favorite bite here. Overall the food was alright and at the same time a bit pricey. I started with a Mussels appetizer which was either a special or potentially something that no longer exists on the menu. There was a tomato based broth and the mussels were properly cooked though one or two had some grain unfortunately. It was decent and I think it was around $20 or so for a good amount of mussels which I shared with others. I remember trying the mucver/zucchini pancakes from someone else and they were a decent version but I have very high standards for that dish and another person enjoyed their calamari. My main dish had some faults as well. The Butter Poached Lobster Tail With Grilled Corn for $38 had said lobster tail, lemon butter sauce, grilled corn, and fresh herbs. I was a big fan of the sauce in particular which had a pleasant flavor and texture with the corn being unique adding some sweetness and some crunch occasionally. This was honestly the best part of the dish as the lobster itself was very overcooked which was unfortunate. If the lobster was cooked well, it would have been excellent but c'est la vie. As mentioned, they gave us some free dessert at the end which was the Cold Baklava which is normally $16 and it comes with 4 pieces of said dessert with a sweet pastry made of layers of filo filled with milk, chocolate, and pistachio. The milk added a unique touch to this dessert almost reminding me of how some Turkish spots add dondurma in the middle of their baklava and it added a nice extra texture and helped with the slight dryness of the filo dough. The chocolate was alright quality while the pistachios were nice. This was overall very tasty and I recommend it to share or for one particularly ravenous person. The food, service, and well everything else here was alright. If the food matched the wonderful atmosphere, I would certainly have gone back already but outside of the dessert, the other dishes had glaring faults for the price point. Low 3.

I came here for a work event and it's in such a cute neighborhood with so many food options around. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and it was oddly warm indoors the day we came here so we requested a change for outdoor seating and they got us set up right away. Everyone was super friendly and attentive and they had really good happy hour deals as well. The menu was fairly extensive and you would def find something that you like on the menu. We got a variety of different items to share: -Watermelon & Tomato Salad: This was really yummy and super refreshing. -Spicy Feta Cheese: This was super yummy especially with the pita bread that they gave us -Tzatzik: This dip was also super yummy and it was not too heavy -Mixed Grilled: This was pretty good; some of the meats were more tender than the others but the flavoring was good and the portion size was pretty good as well. Overall - good vibes and the food was pretty good as well!

Food is absolutely delicious! I ordered the Mezze burger I was so hungry I didn't get a photo but my goodness; amazing! Everything we ordered; drinks, apps & entree; so much flavor & very light. The restaurant is beautiful & the marble bar is out of this world. Staff were attentive & friendly. Must try!

Very delicious dips, soups, chicken and an extensive menu but it overpriced for the portion size. The sushi was not that great because the sauce overwhelmed the fish. The interior is really beautiful. The cocktails were not that great even though the descriptions are interesting.

Restaurant week that "ended"... we went on the 29th.
    Tamia M.

Made a reservation through the restaurant week website, and when we sat down they told us restaurant week was over "yesterday" even though the website shows it was still running. Whatever we decided to order from the regular menu which was our only option at that point. The trio dip that we got was delicious. I ordered the lobster tail with corn, which wasn't good. The corn was soggy, the lobster tail was fine but eating it by itself wasn't ideal. Edited my review after a kind response from the owner. The mishap with restaurant week was on me, though the waitress was confused when we asked at first -- said it ended weeks prior.

First off, the server, Adam, was FANTASTIC. He was super attentive, gave solid recommendations and added to such a great night out with my friends. We were stuck on what to order for apps, and realized that there is no wrong option. Everything on this damn menu is packed with flavor. Psssttt, get the mezze trio with the vegan roll, babaganoush, and hummus (w/ extra pita) The restaurant was clean, the lighting was calm and inviting, the team there knows how to run a great restaurant.

Solid neighborhood place, there are not many places in the UES, this one hits the spot everytime. Grape leaves were interesting, had honey on them, calamari was dank, salad was excellent, cauliflower was also good. Healthy light and fresh option, service was nice and easy and the ambiance inside is enchanting.

Please see attached review. I wrote it for Zoi on 31 by mistake however I was unable to copy and paste it here. Zoi UES has delicious food with poor customer service and hostesses who could care less if you ever came back. They were borderline rude. I was there 12/12 at 5:30, just so management can narrow it down to the 2 young women working and how slow the service was. Please read my review in the photo attached for details

My husband and I came here on a Sunday for brunch- we were able to walk right in and get two seats at the bar- the place was packed!! They weren't letting people sit outside even though it was beautiful out- but still the inside was nice- however, it was a little crowded/tight. They had a deal where you can drink unlimited mimosas, bloody Mary's, Bellini's or sangrias for 90 minutes with a farmer's entree for 49.95- a steal if you take advantage of the bottomless drinks! Our waitress was awesome and kept refilling us without us even having to ask. For the entree we got the steak and eggs which was delicious and the Mediterranean breakfast tower. It looks nice but I would not recommend getting it as it was mostly finger foods+ fried eggs. Excited to come back and try something different!

Came here after reading some great reviews, but sadly, it didn't live up to the hype. Started with a Lychee Martini, which was incredible. Honestly, one of the best I've ever had -- super fresh, well-balanced, not too boozy. Off to a good start... Then came the cheeseboard. The cheese selection was decent (I skipped the blue cheese), but the crackers? Literally the same ones you'd get in a Lunchables pack. Kraft Nabisco-style -- dry, processed, and not what you'd expect at a nicer place. Where was the fresh bread, crostini, or pita? For my entrée, I ordered the lobster. The lemon beurre blanc sauce was delicious -- easily the best part of the meal. But the lobster? Overcooked and rubbery, stuck in the shell. Worst of all: the corn side was covered in blue cheese, which wasn't mentioned on the menu at all. I can't stand blue cheese, and taking a big bite without warning made me feel sick. I would never have ordered this if I had known. Only thing I left happy with was the martini.

We came here for a dinner of 4 and I was surprisingly disappointed considering the high reviews this restaurant has recieved. We're locals and were looking forward to another great restaurant but Blue Mezze didn't live up to the expectations. Food: The best item we had was the watermelon salad. It was refreshing and the tomatoes were a nice touch. The falafel felt dry and under seasoned. In our mezze we got the Muhammara, Hummus, and Tzatziki. They were okay, nothing too memorable about them. The pita bread that came with it was delicious. Freshly made and well seasoned. The only main entree they had that was vegetarian was the truffle pasta. It was okay. Service: Service was rude and abrupt and impatient. I understand that they are busy but less than 5 minutes after we were seated they kept trying to rush us to order and once we ordered we didn't see our server until it was time to order our main entrees. It was so hard to get our water filled or even catch someone to order more food/drinks. Ambiance: It's got a great vibe. I love the decor and definitely feels like a fancy restaurant. They also have a live DJ which I think is really cool. Price: Given the service and quality of the food, this whole meal felt very over priced. Despite it's great ambiance, it is not worth the price. The food portions for the pasta was not big at all, it could barely fill one person and was costing more than $20.

The biggest question then became, where to go? We needed a place that was relatively easy to get to that would hold close to 100 people. Jungly was a contender for several reasons - it's location, size, vibe, and menu all seemed to check off. It also helped that I had done business with the owner previously at one of his other spots. It seemed like the natural choice, so I went ahead with the booking. Jungly is located in LIC - it's a pretty convenient spot as its close to the LIRR and the subway. Parking can be a challenge, but luckily I found a spot only a block away. The space itself is nicely set up - walking in you're immediately greeted by the bar area with dining areas both to the left and the right. Due to our size, they closed the place to the public and we were able to freely roam the bar area and one of the dining rooms. In addition to standard tables, they have some lounge space and high tops by the bar. The vibe is somewhat modern - a black/grey color scheme paired with neon and golds. It looks like the space could easily be converted to a club-like atmosphere. Since we were here for a private event, the food was set up buffet style - we chose three apps, four mains, and two sides. Ultimately, for apps we chose pita bread with dips, steak tacos, and shrimp tacos. For mains we chose fried chicken sliders, smashed beef sliders, cacio e pepe, and roasted chicken. For sides, we got fries and Brussels sprouts. In general, all of the food was tasty; the strongest dishes were the tacos, fries, and the chicken tacos. The tacos were generously filled, the fries were the crispy skin style, and the chicken sliders were nice and crispy. The weakest for me was the cacio e pepe - not much flavor and just not really a standout IMO. My communication with management to set up the event were a little staccato, though in the end everything worked out. For the most part, my communication with them was consistent in the days leading up to the event. Service the night of the event was overall good - they were very accessible but I found that they could have replenished the food a little faster in response to the rate it was being taken from the buffet. The bar, on the other hand, was great - both in service and variety of liquor available. Overall, we had a great event at Jungly. They were professional, fair, and delivered on the goods. I would definitely consider hosting another event there, or dine here on my own.

The bartender, the one person who should be welcoming and engaging, came across as rude and lacked any charisma. On a Friday night, good energy behind the bar makes a huge difference, and that was completely missing. I ordered a margarita, which is one of the simplest and most common cocktails to make. I asked for it really sweet with plenty of salt on the rim. Instead, it came out barely sweet and with almost no salt. For a $17 margarita, I expected much better. I've had to return the drink because I've had better margaritas for $12 at other places. While waiting for my friend, I had to wait with a glass of water because I didn't trust the way they made the drink. The bartender told me I either needed to order another drink or move, which felt unnecessarily rude and unwelcoming. To be fair, the food was good and the space itself is nice.
