Just had lunch here. Phenomenal carbonara with a buffalo salad. Great drinks. Highly recommend.

Eggplant stuffed with goat cheese delicious!

3.5 stars. This place is extremely small inside. I wouldn't recommend coming here for dinner, but maybe drinks. The food was overall pretty much ok. Nothing was bad, but nothing was great either with the exception of the stuffed eggplant appetizer. That was very good! The arancini appetizer, chicken parm, linguini with clams, rigatoni with 4 cheeses were just fair. The portions here are very small. Decent place overall, but not good enough for me to come again.

Really enjoyed the happy hour menu, they had great selections to choose from and drinks reasonably priced! Had the oysters, meatballs and recommend the Cacio & Pepe fries. Also ordered gluten free margarita pizza which was delicious. Had Negroni, gin martini with olives & espresso martini part of HH menu. Bartender was very attentive & ambiance is very cute old school Italian feel, just be aware - it is a small restaurant.

One of the best dimly-lit, cool atmospheres for a restaurant on Ditmars. Highly recommend for a date or night out with friends. My second time at Botte Bar and I got the same entre and drink The "Made Ya Blush" cocktail is perfectly sweet! My favorite pasta is the rigatoni ala vodka- SO creamy and flavorful. We asked to add chicken cutlet, but they only do grilled chicken. Which was cooked to perfection and we enjoyed it anyways. The pizza with arugula and prosciutto needs some kind of glaze. Balsamic sweet glaze or hot honey, not sure! But it was a bit dry and lacked flavor. Friendly service and no wait for 2 on a Friday night. Highly recommend!

Delicious carbonara! Also loved the welcoming and cozy vibe. Even though the place is tiny, it never felt too crowded. Service was excellent as well.

Cocktails: 5/5 Weird service: 2/5 The Made Ya Blush is lush strawberry deliciousness that tastes too much like juice to be safe for your liver. And the Not for Sale is not that different, though it's decidedly stronger and fruitier. They're weird about whether you sit at the bar or at a table if you're just having drinks--even when it's 2:30pm in the afternoon and there's literally no one there. We had to argue to be able to remain at our table when they initially seated us at a table to begin with. They finally let us keep our table because, well, there was no one else at the restaurant then. No sh*t...? SMH

I came to botte bar and treated myself to a requisite 3 course meal! This is a spot for locals and you can tell! I will definitely be back. Food: I ordered the suppli - which is essentially an arancini! It's al dente but very good and extremely filling. It also has a spiciness to it which is great. Then I had the gnocchi as my main and the portion size is huge and it is super flavorful! It melts in your mouth. I would love to try some of the other pastas. For dessert, I had the chocolate lava cake which was perfection. It was steaming on the inside which was so lovely. Ambience: I love the vibe of this place. It's cozy and upscale at the same time. I sat at the bar, which was amazing! Service: really amazing service! Price: I came here during happy hour and the apps are almost half off. The app is normally $14 but I paid $8. The pastas are each about $20. The desserts are $9 each! Reasonably priced and good portion sizes

As a regular customer, I feel the need to say that the review posted a few hours ago is completely unfair and does not reflect who Alejandro is. He is one of the kindest, most professional people I have ever met. Every time I come to Botte, he makes the atmosphere welcoming, friendly, and respectful -- it's thanks to him that the place feels like home. Alejandro treats everyone with care and professionalism, and many of us return because of the wonderful environment he helps create. To me, that review looks like a deliberate personal attack, which is very sad and undeserved. Botte is a special place full of warmth, great food, and genuine hospitality -- highly recommended!

If you're looking for a little cozy spot in Astoria with delicious quality Italian food, this is it! Came here on a Saturday evening and reserved for two but honestly for two people, reservations are probably not necessary (still make one just in case). We chose to sit outside since they had a nice outdoor area set up and it was perfect. Also loved that they had music playing too. Ordered the grandma's meatballs as an appetizer and then shared the Pizza Diavola and Rigatoni ai 4 Formaggi with truffle oil. Meatballs were a 10/10. Flavorful, warm and sauce was perfection. The pizza was also amazing! I really loved the rigatoni but then at one point found the truffle oil to be a bit overwhelming. It was still really good and I could have finished the whole plate had I not been too full. I will definitely be back!

Came on a busy chilly Friday.ate curbside heated outdoor dining still available. Service was very slow. 2 waiters and a bartender. I enjoyed the cozy atmosphere from the outside looking in. Definitely a busy street to eat a meal on the curb. When the heated shed was available I moved with my partner. Food: we tried 2 different Pasta dishes, they were ok. I will come back for drinks only. The "Made you blush " drink it was delicious and cute. It was lightly carbonated and sweet. Like a raspberry jolly rancher. I want one right now, yum!

3 stars. +1 for not sitting indoor parties right next to each other if empty tables were available. We made a reservation for 8:15, and we're seated almost immediately despite coming a few minutes late. Small little place, the indoor area was pretty cold, and the windows were open to the outside so the ac and the breeze outside were all kicking in. The lighting in the table is intimate. Dim lighting, small lamp bright enough to read the menu but not bright enough to see the stains on your bf's shirt. We got the carbonara, gnocchi alla sorrentina with chicken, and the Pomodoro bruschetta. I found the portion size to be quite small for $18 entrées. After finishing the appetizer and the entrée, I felt mildly(?) full and I'm petite! The size of carbonara was like a double ice cream scoop, easily devour-able. Strong flavors in both entrees. We liked the bruschetta! Toasted and extra crunchy, with a side of bread (not toasted). The sangria was alright, I liked it - more on the sour side and not too strong. The tables were pretty small, I felt like I was going to knock the pitcher of water over and there was barely enough room to put anything more than 1 dish on the table. The bellboy/waiters kept coming by to take our dishes away (almost immediately) once we finished. Food did feel like it took some time to come, but it was super hot when it arrived. A party of 2 came in around 8:50pm-ish and they didn't make reservations. They were easily able to grab a spot, many tables open.

I've never even heard of this place until my friend suggested it to me. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. It's not a big place, so reservations should be made. It's definitely not for those who have more than 4 people in their party. They only have one gender less bathroom, too, so be wary of that. I did glance at the menu online prior to heading to the restaurant. They did have a drink menu, but I didn't see any mocktails. However, we did ask, and they had one which was strawberry flavored. It was a bit too sweet, so I probably wouldn't order that again. I eyed the Diavola pizza which I chose as it had tomatoes, marinara, chili, spicy salami, and mozzarella. It didn't really look good, but it was delicious. We also ordered the carpacci. The first one in that section is Carpaccio di Polpo - thinly sliced Octopus in lemon dressing, and that's what I got for the table. I didn't like it too much as I hardly tasted or saw the Octopus. I tasted a cold salad and some ice chips. It was strange. I didn't like the pasta that was ordered either. Cacio e pepe was ordered, and in it was spaghetti with cheese and black pepper. The flavoring wasn't what I expected, I had to add a lot of red pepper flakes to this dish. Last but not least, we ordered the tiramisu. It was good! I'm not sure I would go back as there are so many Italian places in Queens and in Astoria.

We shared Betsy's Mom's Clam Dip, Mushroom Toast, Bitter Greens Salad, Minted Lamb Meatballs, and duck pâté. The meal opened with the clam dip; cool, lush, and briny, with a creamy oceanic richness that coated the palate; followed by a tangy, salty depth that clung to each crunchy bite of bread. The Mushroom Toast followed with deeper savoriness: earthy, almost forest-floor mushrooms, warm and tender, turning silky as they soaked into the bread, while the edges stayed crisp and toasted, adding contrast to the woodsy umami and subtle garlic warmth. The Bitter Greens Salad provided a bright, palate-cleansing break that included crisp and peppery greens with a sharp lemony dressing that snapped on the tongue, layered with faint fennel sweetness and the nutty, salty bite of shaved parmesan. The Minted Lamb Meatballs arrived richer and more comforting, tender and juicy with a gentle gamey depth, lifted by fresh mint that cut through the richness, and a cool, tangy tomato-yogurt sauce that added creaminess and brightness in equal measure. We finished with pâté--silky, dense, and deeply savory, with a faint iron-rich intensity and buttery smoothness, especially when spread on bread with sharp, briny pickles that added crunch and acidity. Each dish felt intentional and well-balanced for sharing, with varied textures and temperatures that built naturally across the table. I'd happily return to explore more of the menu.

The menu is fairly on the basic side - mainly drinks and pastries and there is some sandwiches. We decided to get the hot chocolate with whip cream (the whip cream is very needed). It was very rich, thick and delicious and not "too sweet." The whip cream really makes it more creamy and it does not really add to the sweetness which was good. We also got a side of Salame e Formaggio which I would recommend passing on because the cheese was kind of hard and not that great. The salami was good and honestly I'm not a fan of olives but my friend who liked it enjoyed them. Overall - a cute place to stop by for a hot chocolate and maybe a pastry!

The sfogliatella, which is supposed to be light and crisp, was clearly stale and chewy, although they warmed it up which was a helpful touch. The hot chocolate was reviewed on Instagram as being super rich and decadent, but it was made from a mix that smelled oddly similar to Swiss Miss. the machiatto was also quite watery. Though they didn't serve the sprite-infused red wines I enjoyed in Spain, they did serve white sangrias, which were light, sweet, and very enjoyable. I chose the shrimp in garlic sauce (oil) that I sopped up with the accompanied bread, the dates wrapped in bacon (they do their own twist by filling it with honey ricotta stuffing and finishing it with a red wine reduction), I also went with cod fish croquettes (the perfect crispness on the outside and a delectable creamy texture of fish inside), I can never pass up the patatas bravas, so, I got those too.
