breakfast burrito

Brunch food was good, although it was small portions for the price (see photos, those dishes were nearly $20). The food by itself was fine, but...the service was atrocious. There seemed to be one server for the entire restaurant for Saturday brunch hours. While I wanted to sympathize, there were very few diners - my friends and I were one of 3 small tables. My friends and I also noticed a very overt attitude. Any time a guest made a request, we observed her roll her eyes/make a face. One of my friends asked for a coffee, and she said, "are you sure, it will take a long time." My friend thought about it for a second and was about to say never mind, but then asked, "how long do you think it will take?" to which the server replied, "5 minutes. It seemed like she wanted to make up an excuse to avoid making a coffee, which was strange. (It turned out to take more than 20 minutes). I would not recommend based on the experience my friends and I had today.

Passed by for late brunch (3P) on a Sunday afternoon....we were the only ones there, and it was spotless! Super cute neighborhood bar that serves food. Friendly server, and of course since no one else was there our food was fast and delicious. We went for the DK Brunch Burger with side of sweet potato fries plus side of ranch and the Chicken Sandwich with Old Bay Fries. Both WTH emerges and sandwich were on really soft buns, not too filling, and delicious! The burger was cooked to my preference of medium and the chicken had a yummy flavor and crunch to it. Mimosa was nice to start after a busy afternoon and after that food coma, had some ice coffee. Love the old tiles, flowers and vibes here.

Bloody Mary Pretty tasty.

Cool place to grab s bit. Service was great. The food was ok. Great bang for your buck. If you are from out of town and want a diner feel this is the place for you.

My husband and I have passed by this place many times, and we've always been curious. We finally stopped by today for brunch, the service was good and the ambiance was nice, the food was average. I ended up getting the burger and my husband got the wings and breakfast burrito. The wings were a little too bready for us. The burrito and burger were good, but nothing to write home about. At the end when we got our check I noticed the upcharged us, when I pointed it out, it seemed like they were annoyed. They claim to have fixed it, but they really didn't and I wasn't going to argue at this point. Cool spot , check the receipt to make sure they charge correctly.

I got the wings buffalo they were amazing the flavor the crisp everything about them also you know if you get carrots with them they are about to hit I also got the steak Sammy I forgot to take a pic of that bc when I seen it I Needed to devour it if your in the area i suggest you stop by great vibes and food

Eggs Benedict and Irish coffee

Cute place. We went on a Saturday n had brunch. The F'in BLT, Chicken sandwich and eggs Benedict. Everyone was happy with their meals, portions were good and food was very tasty! I also had an Irish coffee, delish! Place was really nice n comfortable inside, clean, clean bathrooms. Everyone was friendly, service was fast too. Lots of weekly specials - I'd definitely go back n recommend a try!

First day in the city and this was our stop for lunch. I liked that it wasn't a crowded restaurant and it was nice and quite not too loud with music, the best part was our food! I went all in on my burger and that's because I never finish a whole burger haha but this one I did! A must try if you are ever in the area!

Darjeeling Kitchen & Café - Himalayan Curry: I don't typically like mushrooms but these were divine and the hint of carmelized onions on the Chinese broccoli was great!

Best Momos around!…read more If the title doesn't tell you everything, this review will. I found out about this place months ago and it was finally time to give it a try. My spouse and I are always down to find good momos, and this being close by and Tibetan cuisine, it was definitely a must. Ambience: It seats a decent crowd. It has nice Tibetan artwork and you feel the warmth from the owners. It's cozy and it felt great. Service: Top notch. I don't say this lightly. The server sat us down and was just so joyful. Her smile and demeanor made you feel welcomed. Brought us water and asked the usual and offered to explain any dishes. Now we are onto the good -- might I say great -- part. THE FOOD. We didn't order momos on our first visit. Food: My wife got the Himalayan Rice set (chicken) and I got the Rildok. We also got the Shabhaley -- from the description I thought it was literal meat. The Shabhaley, to put it, looks like an empanada. It was far from it in the best possible way. The pastry was crisp but soft and the beef filling was divine! Seasoned with so much flavor and it was paired with a beautiful sauce. The Rildok was exquisite. In my opinion -- I even told one of the servers, whom I now know is one of the owners, that the flavor profile reminded me of a cheeseburger, and it's my favorite new dish. The Himalayan Rice set was awesome. The chicken was tender and flavorful. The tingmo (like a bread) was soft and delicious, paired well with the chicken. The dal reminded me of my own homeland's dal. We've now been back here multiple times. My goal is to try the entire menu. The vegetable khoty momo was surprisingly my favorite, and I'm someone who loves meat. I've now had all the flavors and preparations of the momos, and you can't go wrong! This place is a gem. Their quality of food is top notch, and their actual aunties are in the back making this with so much love. I want everyone to try it. The owner and his staff are amazing and welcoming. They remembered me from my second visit, and that speaks volumes. They're all down to earth and it shows. The passion they have for their food and their kindness shines through. Parking: Can be rough depending on time of day.

I cannot say I was expecting the food to be this damn good out of a seemingly random Mexican place…read morethat just happened to be near where we were. I hadn't seen Tacos Gobernador on any Mexican restaurant menu before. These are sinaloan-style tacos, stuffed with the fresh shrimp abundant in the region. This is the second time I'm saying this in the first four sentences, but these were amazing. First of all - they were huge! Way larger than normal tacos, these tortillas stretch across the plate. The outsides are perfectly crisped up - these are kind of a mix between a soft & hard shell taco, but incorporating the best of both worlds. The amount of oil used in the grilling is perfect. What really makes these though, is the fillings. The shrimp is unbelievable - first of all, its the largest shrimp I've ever seen inside a taco. I mentioned how large these tacos are, but the shrimp bursts out of the top like a xenomorph out of a chest; there's little containment to be had here. These shrimp are seasoned astoundingly, turning practically a dark red from the spices used. Oh yeah, and the juiciness is just perfect. They are so well cooked. The other outstanding part is the cheese. The Oaxacan cheese is special - it's some of the best cheese I've ever had on a taco. Hot, soft, and stretchy with a perfect level of melting, it adds a crazy amount of flavor to each bite. The other toppings are solid, but some more onions would've helped I think. Also, the dipping sauce used is around average, and unnecessary. This was kind of expensive for 3 tacos - coming in at $25 before tax and tip. It was a ton of food though. Overall, a new variation of taco I think I'm absolutely in love with. 9.25/10

This cute little bakery is located in the same space as Koufuku Market, on the corner of Hunter St…read moreand 42nd Road. It can be a little confusing to find since it's a stand inside the market, not a separate store front. They carry a pretty wide variety of Asian flavor-inspired breads, pastries, cakes and cookies, including buns and some more dessert-type items. I checked out Progreso for an event this past weekend and ended up buying a few items to go: - matcha marble sponge cake $4.49: was fluffy, light and moist, good flavor of matcha and a light schmear of whipped cream in the middle. Would get this again! - taro cream puff $6.50: this was taro paste (? not sure if that's fully accurate though it felt more consistency of soft whipped taro than a traditional pastry cream) with whipped cream on top sandwiched by what I believe was choux pastry with craquelin. I think maybe because the this was sitting chilled/refrigerated for a while the top craquelin layer wasn't quite crispy anymore, though it looked nice. Personally it was a bit too much regular whipped cream, would've preferred more of a taro pastry cream. - mango pudding with fresh mango $6.50 mango flavor in the pudding was light though it was a nice tease of flavor. The texture was on the firmer side for puddings. The mangos were a bit oxidized though tasted ok, maybe glaze them or do something to maintain the color? Since this is a pretty new spot hope they could make a few improvements and blow it out of the park! I appreciated the owners' enthusiasm for sharing about their shop.
