I had this spot bookmarked for ages and finally got the chance to check it out. It's a simple storefront setup with sidewalk seating -- nothing fancy, but charming in that local, neighborhood café kind of way. I ordered a bubbletea, which was... fine. Nothing groundbreaking, but it did the job. I noticed they also offer sandwiches (which looked pretty tempting), but I didn't get a chance to try one -- next time, for sure. It definitely seems to draw a crowd. There were people coming and going, placing orders, and hanging around, which is always a good sign. Overall, a casual spot with local buzz. I'll be back to explore more of the menu.
Always end up on a walk going to Tea and Milk. Was walking with a friend on a chilly Saturday afternoon, got a hot Roasted Oolong tea. I usually get iced, but it was cold out, so I got a hot one, and it was great. Warm and comforting on a chilly day. Still wish they had indoor seating, I would love that and would probably go more often. But the tea is still worth just going for, taking a walk and enjoying. Always a great stop at Tea and Milk.
4/5 Lemongrass chicken banh mi- So glad this is halal. Had my eye on it since 2 months ago, during the event. Anyway, the chicken is good. It's sweet cuz of the carrot & radish. I didn't mind the radish since it was pickled sweet, like the Korean sweet pickled white radish. I didn't mind a sweet sandwich for once, since it was really good. 3/5 mango rose lemonade/tea- I mistook this for the "Astoria" drink. I thought this was either lemonade or tea, so I asked for the tea. If I'd known it was a lemonade tea, w/e that is, I wouldn't have gotten it. This is good if you like really sour stuff, like straight up lemon. It was too sour for me. It's as sour as the organic lemonade you get from BJs (forgot the brand). 3/5 strawberry matcha tea latte- the matcha was oxidized. Don't think it had much strawberry tho. 5/5 Service - employee so pleasant. Got the banh mi to go & I forgot abt it. So I came back 2-3 hrs later & the staff offered to remake it cuz it wasn't hot anymore. When I asked if I'd gotten lemonade instead of tea, she confirmed it was a lemonade tea & apologized that I misunderstood.
Still the best bubble tea in the neighborhood in my opinion, and the best taro tea in the city. For the matcha enthusiasts out there this isn't on the level of Kettl or Matchaful but it is better than almost every other matcha offering in the neighborhood and very solid for a bubble tea place - they will not just serve you a cup of vaguely green milk. I recently had the Cocoa Oolong, which was very nice on a cold day. Note there is no longer indoor seating or an outdoor shed at this location, but there is a bench outside. T&M runs promotions with some regularity and still has a loyalty program. The other locations hold events like Paint & Sip as well.

(Heart-eyes emoji) I am begging you to try these two things: brown sugar matcha latte (50% sugar) AND the Vietnamese BBQ sandwich, because when I say my eyes widened at the first sip/bite, I mean it. I added boba to my drink. You're able to choose from a scale of sweetness/sugar, which is cool. Really cute place and friendly staff- I'll definitely be back. *This is a window restaurant only; there is no indoor seating. My drink and food were prepared in about 5-8 minutes.

This place has a variety of flavors you wouldn't normally see at your regular boba place (but for those who want the usual, they do have a few crowd favorites -- see menu pics). I had the strawberry, rose lemonade and it was so refreshing on a hot day! There is outdoor seating. Our server answered any questions we had and was patient and kind. I would love to try their sandwiches next. So cool that they serve Bánh mì baguettes and bowls. read more
I went for a Yelp event and picked up a jasmine green tea. It was good. I didn't realize they also had food. Unfortunately they didn't seem to have a sit in area except outside. My tea came super fast and she just asked for my name vs checking my Yelp pass. I definitely don't mind coming back if I am back in Astoria. Both Tea & Milk's signature and classic drinks are always very memorable to me throughout the years I have been going there for boba tea breaks. The fruit-based drinks are mainly made from fresh/real (not frozen) fruits. The vibrant colors of their drinks in pics/videos via different social media platforms are getting more and more viral by the day. Ambiance: Not much but just a storefront + 2 small tables/chairs along with a bench. Restroom: None, you're out of luck! Service: Fast & attentive staff all the time even during their busiest hours. Everyone was just so genuine and friendly to be around. Came here to the Astoria location during their 11th year anniversary promotion yesterday. First 100 customers in line would receive a limited-edition sippy glass tumbler with attached boba straw & removable lid cover with his/her in-store purchase. They accept both cash and debit/credit card. The line was effectively managed with no line cutters, no arguing, and nothing crazy going on. Overall, it was such a pleasant experience. Lots of people have still showed up despite the really cold weather & down-pouring. Nothing gonna stop me from getting the cute glassware. Store opened and promotion started at 12:05pm. Everyone just ordered one by one towards the front when it was his/her turn. The Vietnamese Cloud Coffee was $7.52 (after tax). Hot/iced + medium/large drinks have different set of prices btw. Staff then handed me the glassware & a free sampler bowl of their soon-to-launch either lemongrass chicken/pork rice bowl after accepting payment. Portion was definitely more on the generous side to say the least. Devoured the sampler bowl in 15 mins because I was hungry & aside from keeping the rain not getting into the food. Flavorful lemongrass chicken + appetizing pickled carrot + fresh, crunchy sliced cucumber laid on a blanket of fluffy white rice. All the ingredients went well together. This is something I would definitely buy for lunch/dinner if this item ever gets added to the menu in the future. I ordered a hot Vietnamese Cloud Coffee, a new drink on the menu. My first time actually ordering a hot drink from Tea & Milk. Usually go for the iced drinks but I was feeling quite cold. So, I needed something hot to hold in my hands. Vietnamese Cloud Coffee - Cà Phê Trứng (Egg Coffee) is made with egg yolks + Vietnamese coffee powder. Lastly, it's lightly sweetened with condensed milk to give off an all-around creamy texture and taste similar to tiramisu. Something created with such simple ingredients yet could feel so soothing at the same time. A hot coffee-based drink on a cold, rainy day is like a snuggly hug. Staff called out your name when it was ready for pickup. Love starting my day off with the strong flavor of Vietnamese coffee! By far, this might actually be the best tasting Vietnamese coffee I have had in all my years. And, I'm usually not a coffee person either. Didn't taste watered down and/or heavily sweetened at all. Everything's just right. Definitely would be going back next time for other coffee/fruit tea drinks. read more

First time trying tea and milk. I ordered the iced ceremonial strawberry matcha tea latte with oat milk. The strawberry puree adds a kick to the matcha. Different than the one that I have tried! I did not have to wait long to get my drinks after ordering which is always a plus! read more
Tea and Milk is a favorite ever since I went to an event and they were in attendance, giving out samples. I love being able to customize my order with less sweetness and ice. The flavors and add-ons are awesome. We're never disappointed with T&M. read more

There's a cute, little outdoor seating area rather than an indoor sitting/standing area at this boba shop. I ordered my Medium Roasted Oolong Tea with Signature Cream with less ice and 50% sugar, but it tasted like there was basically no sugar in it. Nevertheless, there was a perfect balance of cream and tea! The service was fairly quick as there wasn't a line. read more

I wish Tea and Milk had a location a little closer to me but I'll still take a drive here for some delicious banh mi's and bubble tea/coffee for my family and I. Fan favorite is the Brown Sugar Matcha with 50% sugar and boba. The boba balls are so soft and chewy and not a strong sweet taste which is my favorite. My husband enjoyed his Coffee with herbal jelly no sugar. I love the decor of the outdoor dining they have with the flowers hanging from above and the open space. Service was great every time we come visit and friendly service! That's a plus for us. read more
My GO-TO bubble tea place. I think their drinks are well thought-through and crafted with care!!!!!!! People there are always efficient and nice. And I LOVE their boards and notes that reference pop culture (like that time Selena vs Hailey had to be voted). ALSO I have to say, their banh mi is one of the bests around the area. I try other places and honestly just wish I got Banh Mi from Tea and Milk. My go-to is the classic sandwich. As for the drink, my favorite is the lavender milk tea with signature cream. But their other drinks are delicious too. I switch up based on if I'm feeling more fruity or milk tea-y (I hope all the bubble tea fans out there know the feeling). Anyway, they also have a little seating area outside where you can sit and eat/drink. In the winter they have a heater there too so it's not that bad to enjoy their stuff there! read more

This is the bubble tea spot I head to whenever I'm in Astoria. Love the customer service and their teas! My new favorite is their natural taro, no fake purple powder. They have bubble, herbal jelly, and milk foam add-ons. I am a bit sad that there is only one non-caffeinated tea drink for my late bubble tea cravings though. I like how they partner with other vendors for other food/dessert options. I got their red velvet cheesecake cookie and it was super yummy and gooey when all warmed up. Supreme Banh Mi: I really enjoyed the supreme banh mi! The tangy, crunchy veggies paired perfectly with the extremely flavorful BBQ pork. The meat is grilled to perfect caramelization, savory and sweet with charred ends. The bread has a crunchy outside and is easy to bite into, not overly chewy. Egg Tart: The egg tart is really flaky with a milky center that's great for dessert. Taro Milk with Coconut Milk: The boba is rich with brown sugar flavor, and the taro milk is smooth, like a yogurt-like slush with a very unique texture. You can taste the earthy and nutty taro flavor. Coffee: The coffee is full-bodied, rich, and deep. Mango Lassi: The mango lassi is smooth with refreshing mango puree. read more

The boba is spot on and delicious! They use all natural fruits for their ingredients and no powders, except for matcha. I got the mango matcha tea latte because I love those 2 flavors individually, so the combo sounded interesting! It was very delicious and fragrant with both the mango and matcha. They purée their fruits in-house and you definitely taste the fresh mangos. The service was also quick! There's outdoor seating in front. I'd love to try the banh mis next time! They have a location in Chelsea Market also. Overall, I absolutely love this spot and can't wait to come back! read more
I usually come here for their boba and today I was craving a Vietnamese sandwich so I got the bbq pork sandwich and let me say I am surprise at how good it is! I was a little spectacle about ordering a sandwich in a boba shop but I must say the bbq pork sandwich was delicious. It was so flavorful and with a good amount of spice ! They service is quick and the staff are super helpful and friendly. There is a small heated outdoors dining area for you to sit also! What else can I say except that they are the goat of the boba industry. I've been a fan for almost a decade, treating myself to their natural and delicious boba tea whenever the urge hit. So glad to see them expand into Chelsea, Bay Ridge, and now Citi Field. Birthdays are a lot for fun cause they give a free boba to their rewards members. I got myself a vegan taro for my birthday drink and used a coupon for their newest menu item, the Bay Ridge Mango Lassi. God Bless America and God bless Tea and Milk. BLUF: Great drinks, good sandwiches. Tea and Milk is a great option for boba teas and similar drinks. We like that the drinks are made with quality ingredients and have a good degree of customizability. The sandwiches are good, but lean a little sweet. We've tried: - Happy Drink: Excellent (5 of 5). Made with in-season fruit, which included peach and strawberry. Delicious, didn't need sugar. - Peach Matcha Latte: Excellent (5 of 5). With the full sugar option, this latte had a deep matcha flavor without the bitterness typically associated with matcha. The peach puree is a healthier alternative to boba (which can be added), and complemented the matcha latte with a different type of sweetness. - BBQ Pork Bánh Mì: Good (3.5 of 5). The BBQ pork in this sandwich is sweetened, tasting almost like Chinese sausage -- lap cheong (臘腸). - Pork Belly Bánh Mì: Good (3.5 of 5). Much better when lightly toasted in a convection oven, which renders the fat in the pork belly to give the bread a buttery crispy goodness. read more

Had to return because it was so hot yesterday and I was thirsty. Had the Mango Rose Lemonade drink with Aloe Vera. It was so refreshing and quenched my thirst. It was made so quick with little to no wait time with an outdoor seating area. Will come back again ! read more
One of my favorite boba spots in city! For reference, my favorite right now is Xin Fu Tang for their fresh boba and Boba Guys for their great flavor options. Tea and Milk ties with Teazzi for next on the list. I appreciate that the boba is consistently good, even when it's close to closing. They have a variety of great flavors and although I don't have a picture to share at the moment, their Thai tea is my go-to. I also really like their early grey with signature cream (photoed in this post). I always make it a point to stop by if I'm in Astoria. Highly recommend you check it out if you haven't yet! read more

It's a to go store with an outdoor dining area. They have 2 drink menus: traditional (mostly black tea and coffee) and concept (green tea, fruits and brown sugar). There is also Vietnamese Sandwiches, City cakes, and diy bubble tea kits. Got the lavender black milk tea with signature cream. I thought it had the right amount of lavender. My friend didn't think the lavender wasn't strong enough. This place uses biodegradable straws which I had a hard time poking a hole since it dented the straw tip. My friend had no problem with the straw. Can't wait to come back to try other flavors. read more

Front staff at the spot were very nice and suggested milk tea drinks that were popular such as Thai tea or Earl grey mt. I got their taro root milk tea and the staff said it might be a smoothie texture nd I was ok with it. It turned out very good. 10/10 for real taro flavor. So happy they were still open at 7:45-7:49pm on a sunday evening when they suppose to close at 8pm. The quality was immaculate regardless of their closing soon. I love that! Not sloppy 10/10. Strawberry lychee green tea was great didnt expect the lychee fruit inside but its legit, fun to look forward to eating after finishing the drink. read more

No they aren't! They plan to open back up this summer I believe. They are only shipping out bubble kits for you to make at home that you can find on their website. They are too busy being awesome and sending bubble tea deliveries to hospitals!
