Drinks were good and they also have bahn mi sandwiches which are delicious. I ordered a strawberry lychee green tea with lemonade and a classic cold cut bahn mi. I will come back and try other items on the menu.

First time trying tea and milk. I ordered the iced ceremonial strawberry matcha tea latte with oat milk. The strawberry puree adds a kick to the matcha. Different than the one that I have tried! I did not have to wait long to get my drinks after ordering which is always a plus!

The oolong tea with brown sugar and boba is my favorite. Just a counter with some outdoor seating. Staff is friendly and fast.

Tea and Milk is a favorite ever since I went to an event and they were in attendance, giving out samples. I love being able to customize my order with less sweetness and ice. The flavors and add-ons are awesome. We're never disappointed with T&M.

I had this spot bookmarked for ages and finally got the chance to check it out. It's a simple storefront setup with sidewalk seating -- nothing fancy, but charming in that local, neighborhood café kind of way. I ordered a bubbletea, which was... fine. Nothing groundbreaking, but it did the job. I noticed they also offer sandwiches (which looked pretty tempting), but I didn't get a chance to try one -- next time, for sure. It definitely seems to draw a crowd. There were people coming and going, placing orders, and hanging around, which is always a good sign. Overall, a casual spot with local buzz. I'll be back to explore more of the menu.

Always end up on a walk going to Tea and Milk. Was walking with a friend on a chilly Saturday afternoon, got a hot Roasted Oolong tea. I usually get iced, but it was cold out, so I got a hot one, and it was great. Warm and comforting on a chilly day. Still wish they had indoor seating, I would love that and would probably go more often. But the tea is still worth just going for, taking a walk and enjoying. Always a great stop at Tea and Milk.

4/5 Lemongrass chicken banh mi- So glad this is halal. Had my eye on it since 2 months ago, during the event. Anyway, the chicken is good. It's sweet cuz of the carrot & radish. I didn't mind the radish since it was pickled sweet, like the Korean sweet pickled white radish. I didn't mind a sweet sandwich for once, since it was really good. 3/5 mango rose lemonade/tea- I mistook this for the "Astoria" drink. I thought this was either lemonade or tea, so I asked for the tea. If I'd known it was a lemonade tea, w/e that is, I wouldn't have gotten it. This is good if you like really sour stuff, like straight up lemon. It was too sour for me. It's as sour as the organic lemonade you get from BJs (forgot the brand). 3/5 strawberry matcha tea latte- the matcha was oxidized. Don't think it had much strawberry tho. 5/5 Service - employee so pleasant. Got the banh mi to go & I forgot abt it. So I came back 2-3 hrs later & the staff offered to remake it cuz it wasn't hot anymore. When I asked if I'd gotten lemonade instead of tea, she confirmed it was a lemonade tea & apologized that I misunderstood.

Still the best bubble tea in the neighborhood in my opinion, and the best taro tea in the city. For the matcha enthusiasts out there this isn't on the level of Kettl or Matchaful but it is better than almost every other matcha offering in the neighborhood and very solid for a bubble tea place - they will not just serve you a cup of vaguely green milk. I recently had the Cocoa Oolong, which was very nice on a cold day. Note there is no longer indoor seating or an outdoor shed at this location, but there is a bench outside. T&M runs promotions with some regularity and still has a loyalty program. The other locations hold events like Paint & Sip as well.

OK FLAVOR!?! (Heart-eyes emoji) I am begging you to try these two things: brown sugar matcha latte (50% sugar) AND the Vietnamese BBQ sandwich, because when I say my eyes widened at the first sip/bite, I mean it. I added boba to my drink. You're able to choose from a scale of sweetness/sugar, which is cool. Really cute place and friendly staff- I'll definitely be back. *This is a window restaurant only; there is no indoor seating. My drink and food were prepared in about 5-8 minutes.

Custard tart - ask for it warm - delicious

Such a great place The staff is always nice The drinks are always good But don't sleep on the banh mi and the custard tarts - get them warm It's window service and a bench and a few stools outside but no tables and no indoor place to sit down Sign up for their emails and you can get some discounts They also have vegan options for banh mi sandwich and drinks. They have non dairy milk

I had the matcha green tea latte with almond milk, medium sweet. It was very good! I also appreciated how it wasn't an up charge to get almond milk. The woman at the counter was also friendly and polite. Would definitely come back to try something else!

What kind of matcha is used in the matcha latte?

Do they still have board games here?

We do not have any more board games at the moment.

Hello. Just wondering if y'all are open for delivery right now due to COVID19? Stay safe!

No they aren't! They plan to open back up this summer I believe. They are only shipping out bubble kits for you to make at home that you can find on their website. They are too busy being awesome and sending bubble tea deliveries to hospitals!

When does the lychee green tea drink come back?

    It's back as of a few weeks ago, M $4.50 L $5.25

There are some other restaurants nearby that will have boba on the menu but I consider that separate from a bubble tea shop whose main or only product is the tea. There is some minimal seating (bar stools) but it's largely a to-go place. The ambiance is clean lines, black walls, white tile etc. Patrons leave napkins/straw wrappers, things can be a bit sticky, and it doesn't seem like this is attended too all that quickly. And it's not like it's busy - every time I go in there it's empty of people. There are 2 self service kiosks to order at and thus you're not really greeted or acknowledged when you enter, which is mostly in line with the nyc norm. The tea itself I think is just okay. It is a bit pricey; everything will run you close to $8 before any substitutions or add-ins. They have some fun flavors like the raspberry hojicha. I do think that the standard bubble milk tea that they offer highlights that the tea itself isn't great quality - it's either oversteeped or just not great quality tea being used. Still, it's better than not having boba in the area.

The staff was very rude and basically said "what do you want?". Asked her a question about what something on the menu was and instead of answering it, she just said "don't matter. No more". Master Panda, thanks for participating in the Yelp Lunar New year Boba Crawl and being the first…read moreand last stop. The jasmine milk tea I sampled in the store first was a bit high in the milk to tea ratio, though I appreciated the chance to try this. The oolong tea flavor (can't recall if it was a citrus or passionfruit flavor) at the end was good--refreshing and light. The bubbles were a little on the sweeter side, with decent chewiness. I purchased a plum Americano first time and it was an innovative take on Asian flavors mixed with coffee. The fusion of traditional tart plum "soup" with coffee worked in an herbally way, kinda like a kombucha coffee. Based on this I think some of the other coffee items with citrus may be good to try here. The following comments are in the spirit of constructive feedback so I hope this will help you guys! I read online that the focus of the store is to provide fresh milk with their teas, specifically regular dairy milk. Though I think this is a stronger selling point probably in Asia, the interesting fact is that a fair number of people are lactose intolerant, (or will become so later in life). And with the trend away from cow's milk to more plant-based milks, I think it's a miss not to offer milk substitutes. The second point to work on is consistency in the menu, I'm not sure why the menu placed by the ordering counter contains a few different items than the menu on the screen on the wall, which is also slightly different from the menu shown in the digital kiosks (I didn't order from the kiosk but took a look at it). Maybe it's because this store is still tweaking the menu, though in this case it would be helpful to explain to customers. Yesterday I came by to redeem a coupon for a free drink, it was a generous offer and thanks for giving me another opportunity to try a drink! Choosing the Jasmine coconut tea with water chestnut bubbles, the flavor combo sounded interesting though didn't mesh that successfully in reality. The water chestnut bubbles provided a pop and little crunch which was unlike anything I've had before, with a light, almost imperceptible sweetness. Overall I felt the staff was kind--thanks for the rose with the drink and the panda takeaway bag during the initial boba crawl!

We walked into a cozy space with a comfortable feel that makes it easy to settle in for a bit, and the atmosphere strikes a nice balance between modern and relaxed. The drinks themselves are the main draw and largely deliver. We ordered the Coconut Mango Boom, the standout on the menu, and it came loaded with a generous chunk of actual mango that made the whole thing feel more substantial than your average fruit tea. The Triple Matcha is another strong option for anyone looking for a matcha drink. Toppings were consistently chewy and the flavor balance across most of the lineup leans on the lighter, less sweet side, which works well for us. Where things get complicated is the wait. This location runs long on order times fairly regularly, and during busier stretches or when delivery orders are stacking up, a single drink can take thirty to forty minutes. The staff are generally efficient and straightforward, which suits the format, but the kitchen and barista workflow seems to struggle with volume in a way that other HeyTea locations do not. If you are already a HeyTea regular, the Long Island City location is a convenient option for the area, and the menu quality holds up to what the brand does elsewhere. Just plan accordingly on timing and you will leave happy. We would come back for the Coconut Mango Boom, but we would order ahead and build in a buffer before we need to be anywhere else.
