The fruit-based drinks are mainly made from fresh/real (not frozen) fruits. The vibrant colors of their drinks in pics/videos via different social media platforms are getting more and more viral by the day. Ambiance: Not much but just a storefront + 2 small tables/chairs along with a bench. Restroom: None, you're out of luck! Service: Fast & attentive staff all the time even during their busiest hours. Everyone was just so genuine and friendly to be around. Came here to the Astoria location during their 11th year anniversary promotion yesterday. First 100 customers in line would receive a limited-edition sippy glass tumbler with attached boba straw & removable lid cover with his/her in-store purchase. They accept both cash and debit/credit card. The line was effectively managed with no line cutters, no arguing, and nothing crazy going on. Overall, it was such a pleasant experience. Lots of people have still showed up despite the really cold weather & down-pouring. Nothing gonna stop me from getting the cute glassware. Store opened and promotion started at 12:05pm. Everyone just ordered one by one towards the front when it was his/her turn. The Vietnamese Cloud Coffee was $7.52 (after tax). Hot/iced + medium/large drinks have different set of prices btw. Staff then handed me the glassware & a free sampler bowl of their soon-to-launch either lemongrass chicken/pork rice bowl after accepting payment. Portion was definitely more on the generous side to say the least. Devoured the sampler bowl in 15 mins because I was hungry & aside from keeping the rain not getting into the food. Flavorful lemongrass chicken + appetizing pickled carrot + fresh, crunchy sliced cucumber laid on a blanket of fluffy white rice. All the ingredients went well together. This is something I would definitely buy for lunch/dinner if this item ever gets added to the menu in the future. I ordered a hot Vietnamese Cloud Coffee, a new drink on the menu. My first time actually ordering a hot drink from Tea & Milk. Usually go for the iced drinks but I was feeling quite cold. So, I needed something hot to hold in my hands. Vietnamese Cloud Coffee - Cà Phê Trứng (Egg Coffee) is made with egg yolks + Vietnamese coffee powder. Lastly, it's lightly sweetened with condensed milk to give off an all-around creamy texture and taste similar to tiramisu. Something created with such simple ingredients yet could feel so soothing at the same time. A hot coffee-based drink on a cold, rainy day is like a snuggly hug. Staff called out your name when it was ready for pickup. Love starting my day off with the strong flavor of Vietnamese coffee! It's a simple storefront setup with sidewalk seating -- nothing fancy, but charming in that local, neighborhood café kind of way. I ordered a bubbletea, which was... fine. I've been coming to Tea and Milk for over 5 years, and this is the best/most legit boba shop in Astoria. Their coffee milk tea with their signature cream is my go-to drink. Depending on my mood, I'd get it with herbal jelly. You can adjust the sugar level depending on how sweet you like it & they offer recommendations if you're unsure. Their classic black tea with signature cream and boba is excellent, too. Lastly, their taro milk tea is fantastic, too. No powder taro; it's the actual taro. I haven't had a bad drink from this place, and I highly recommend it if you're looking for a boba shop in Astoria. Besides selling drinks, they also sell banh mi sandwiches. Have you ever seen that episode of it's always sunny in Philadelphia where Dennis tries to order a boba tea? This place is exactly like that. To be clear- the tea is fantastic. But I have an anxiety attack every time i come here. It's starts with me ordered the passion fruit tea which is the perfect amount of sour and tart. It does NOT need sugar. No matter how many times I visit, they tell me the same thing. They aren't allowed to serve it without sugar or that the system doesn't allow it. After persuasion, they relent but act as if I asked them to do something illegal. Heading home, i savor my tea sadly while contemplating why serving tea without sugar makes the employees look so scared and furitively glance over their shoulders in terror. Tea and Milk is a wonderful find. I'd been to a few of their Yelp events but recently stopped by on my own and enjoyed an Astoria drink. It's rose tea with passionfruit pulp; I added boba so it ended up being $7.50 without tax. For this tea, you can't customize the sugar level but I was relieved it wasn't too saccharine. It was delicious and refreshing! Perfect after having lunch nearby. I love how real fruit pulp is used in this drink. The Happy drink is similar but you get to pick out two fruit purées.  Tea and Milk doesn't have any indoor seating (you order and pick up from a window), and they recently closed their outdoor seating shed for the season, but there was a bench or two for people to sit and sip.  If you aren't in Astoria, Tea and Milk has locations in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and even Citi Field this past baseball season.  In addition to other teas, I want to try their banh mi sandwiches sometime. My GO-TO bubble tea place. I think their drinks are well thought-through and crafted with care!!!!!!! People there are always efficient and nice. And I LOVE their boards and notes that reference pop culture (like that time Selena vs Hailey had to be voted). ALSO I have to say, their banh mi is one of the bests around the area. With the full sugar option, this latte had a deep matcha flavor without the bitterness typically associated with matcha. The peach puree is a healthier alternative to boba (which can be added), and complemented the matcha latte with a different type of sweetness. - BBQ Pork Bánh Mì: Good (3.5 of 5). The BBQ pork in this sandwich is sweetened, tasting almost like Chinese sausage -- lap cheong (臘腸). - Pork Belly Bánh Mì: Good (3.5 of 5). One of my favorite boba spots in city! For reference, my favorite right now is Xin Fu Tang for their fresh boba and Boba Guys for their great flavor options. Tea and Milk ties with Teazzi for next on the list. I appreciate that the boba is consistently good, even when it's close to closing.
