Very cute cafe in LIC. Would be 5 stars but -1 for the prices of the drinks and the watery taste of the matcha- ordered a matcha latte with oat milk and chai latte with oat milk. Chai was fine but matcha had a watery/strange aftertaste. Total was $14. Love the piano and the art in the cafe. Very friendly and warm vibe.

This was right across the street from our hotel and we visited twice during our trip. A cute little cafe with a few tables and window seating. The coffee and breakfast were delicious and the service was excellent. Highly recommend!

I mean... look at this place, how beautiful!!! I was checking the place out as it was being built and I was so happy to go in maybe on the first or second day they opened. I got this iced turmeric latte upon their recommendation and I devoured it. It was SO GOOD. I was confused about the menu for a moment and asked if matcha chai tea exist and the lady told me it doesn't but she could try make it for me. She was so nice and attentive on my order. I'm so happy such a beautiful cafe opened up right by me and I will get to go as often as I want!!! Can't wait to try their other drinks and food.

I'm just not impressed with this new coffee shop. We had very limited options including a few Danishes and pastries. To boot they had not cleaned the toilet that smelled bad. Would I come back? No. There are better coffee shops out there!

amazing coffee!!! it tasted so good. i got an iced coffee with almond milk! the cafe was so cute and chill. there was even a piano!

Cappuccino

I just wasted $9.50 (tip included) for something that doesn't look or taste like a "CAPPUCCINO" (picture included) so hopefully I'll save you money and the disappointment...The coffee shop looks fancy with the piano inside but appearances are, in this case, absolutely deceiving..

Darjeeling Kitchen & Café - Himalayan Curry: I don't typically like mushrooms but these were divine and the hint of carmelized onions on the Chinese broccoli was great!

The restaurant felt homey and I could tell there were many regulars and other return visitors, for good reason! Ordered: Masala Chai ($4.50)- this tasted authentic, was nicely spiced, and wasn't too sweet. I only wish the cup was bigger. Steamed momo ($12+)- I like how you have the option to mix and match. We ordered the mixed vegetable and the oyster mushroom and surprisingly I much preferred the oyster mushroom variety. The mixed vegetable momo tasted more earthy to me. Himalayan rice set ($20.5)- this was a very nice assortment- there was rice, lentil dal, your protein of choice- (I chose beef brisket), stir fried cabbage, broccoli rabe, pickled vegetables and crisp flatbread. The only downside in my opinion was that the brisket wasn't too tender and I didn't love the beef flavoring or preparation. The rest of the items were so delicious! I've been thinking about this meal ever since I left the restaurant. You don't want to skip this place.

The staff was incredibly kind and did not rush is out at all, we were able to chat and linger. The food is flavorful, a little spicy, and well-portioned. Two of us had the Himalayan Farmer's breakfast (available until 2pm) - I'd def go roti over puri next time but both were tasty. Our resident vegetarian enjoyed her Nepali Thali and the chow mein was spicy and savory. We had vegetable jhol momo for the table which were enough to share and a crowd favorite. The space and food felt cozy. This was a total hit with my out-of-borough friends and I'll definitely be back. With a 25% tip it was $30 per person.

This place may not look like much, but once you step inside and taste the food, you'll realize you've struck gold. I tried their chicken green enchiladas, and wow, they were incredible! The enchiladas were super saucy, which I absolutely love. The green salsa had just the right amount of spice--enough to give it a kick without overpowering the flavors. The grilled chicken was a fantastic surprise; it's different from the usual shredded chicken you find elsewhere, and it really elevated the dish. I also tried the red chilaquiles, and those were a hit too! They had a great spice kick. The only hiccup was the steak--I ordered it medium, but it arrived well done. A little room for improvement there, but it didn't overshadow the overall experience. This place serves up delicious, authentic Mexican food, feels just like home away from home, If you appreciate real Mexican cuisine, I highly recommend checking it out. You won't be disappointed!

It can be a little confusing to find since it's a stand inside the market, not a separate store front. They carry a pretty wide variety of Asian flavor-inspired breads, pastries, cakes and cookies, including buns and some more dessert-type items. I checked out Progreso for an event this past weekend and ended up buying a few items to go: - matcha marble sponge cake $4.49: was fluffy, light and moist, good flavor of matcha and a light schmear of whipped cream in the middle. Would get this again! - taro cream puff $6.50: this was taro paste (? not sure if that's fully accurate though it felt more consistency of soft whipped taro than a traditional pastry cream) with whipped cream on top sandwiched by what I believe was choux pastry with craquelin. I think maybe because the this was sitting chilled/refrigerated for a while the top craquelin layer wasn't quite crispy anymore, though it looked nice. Personally it was a bit too much regular whipped cream, would've preferred more of a taro pastry cream. - mango pudding with fresh mango $6.50 mango flavor in the pudding was light though it was a nice tease of flavor. The texture was on the firmer side for puddings. The mangos were a bit oxidized though tasted ok, maybe glaze them or do something to maintain the color? Since this is a pretty new spot hope they could make a few improvements and blow it out of the park! I appreciated the owners' enthusiasm for sharing about their shop.

It's definitely a cozy and popular café--mostly cozy because of the size. Seating is limited, but the interior design is clean, minimal, and uncluttered, which makes the space feel calm and welcoming despite the steady stream of customers coming in and out while we were there. Food-wise, everything impressed us. I ordered the pistachio croissant, while my companions got the gochujang hot chicken sandwich and the breakfast sandwich. The chicken sandwich was especially memorable--unique, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. My pistachio croissant was also great; personally, I might have preferred a little less pistachio cream or a more textured filling like almond paste, but that's purely a preference. It was still excellent. The service really stood out. They were quick, friendly, and incredibly accommodating--one of my companions accidentally dropped their sandwich, and the staff replaced it free of charge without hesitation. That kind of kindness goes a long way. The price point is amazing for the quality of food you're getting, and we felt completely comfortable lingering for several hours. Throughout our stay, there was a consistent flow of customers, which says a lot. Highly recommend Little Flower if you're in Astoria and looking for great food, great value, and genuinely warm service.

When I came at ~2pm on a Sunday, it was so busy and there were people sitting outside and inside. The cafe offers some breakfast food on top of their drink options. While I didn't get to try their food, my friend did and it looked amazing. I came wanting to try their pink chai but it was unfortunately out. So, I settled for their regular chai. Maybe it was because they were busy or something but I felt that their chai was very underwhelming. It tasted really watered down and sweet without any of the chai fragrance. Overall, while the vibe was great, I thought that their drinks were okay (or maybe I just had a miss).

Me and my girl was looking for a coffee shop that was laptop friendly and closed late since we came after work. I was a bit disappointed that they did not serve any alcoholic beverages as I saw a lot of good reviews on that portion. We came, we sat down on a Saturday night. There was only one person at the front and it seemed she was also managing the serving part so it did get pretty hectic at some point. We decided to order the Budae Jigae (Hot Pot), there is no way to alter the spicy level so for those who love spicy spicy, this is for you. Me and my friend was really disturbed by the fact that we were treated some type of way. Maybe it's because we weren't Korean or? Service was slow asf. It took a really long time for them to serve me my iced strawberry matcha drink. And even longer for the food. It was also hard to tag her down, and she seemed pretty annoyed that we had to ask her for multiple items. We were a party of 2 and she only gave us one set of items. I went again by myself the next day to see if it was better service and it was pretty packed. There was actually 3-4 people at the front but even then it was so hard to get someone to take my order, ask for napkins, for the check, etc. While there was no time limit on Saturday, there was a time limit of 1 hour and 30 minutes on Sunday. would I go again? Maybe, but it's def veering towards the no side.

Ambiance: Not much but just a storefront + 2 small tables/chairs along with a bench. Restroom: None, you're out of luck! Service: Fast & attentive staff all the time even during their busiest hours. Everyone was just so genuine and friendly to be around. Came here to the Astoria location during their 11th year anniversary promotion yesterday. First 100 customers in line would receive a limited-edition sippy glass tumbler with attached boba straw & removable lid cover with his/her in-store purchase. They accept both cash and debit/credit card. The line was effectively managed with no line cutters, no arguing, and nothing crazy going on. Overall, it was such a pleasant experience. Lots of people have still showed up despite the really cold weather & down-pouring. Nothing gonna stop me from getting the cute glassware. Store opened and promotion started at 12:05pm. Everyone just ordered one by one towards the front when it was his/her turn. The Vietnamese Cloud Coffee was $7.52 (after tax). Hot/iced + medium/large drinks have different set of prices btw. Staff then handed me the glassware & a free sampler bowl of their soon-to-launch either lemongrass chicken/pork rice bowl after accepting payment. Portion was definitely more on the generous side to say the least. Devoured the sampler bowl in 15 mins because I was hungry & aside from keeping the rain not getting into the food. Flavorful lemongrass chicken + appetizing pickled carrot + fresh, crunchy sliced cucumber laid on a blanket of fluffy white rice. All the ingredients went well together. This is something I would definitely buy for lunch/dinner if this item ever gets added to the menu in the future. I ordered a hot Vietnamese Cloud Coffee, a new drink on the menu. My first time actually ordering a hot drink from Tea & Milk. Usually go for the iced drinks but I was feeling quite cold. So, I needed something hot to hold in my hands. Vietnamese Cloud Coffee - Cà Phê Trứng (Egg Coffee) is made with egg yolks + Vietnamese coffee powder. Lastly, it's lightly sweetened with condensed milk to give off an all-around creamy texture and taste similar to tiramisu. Something created with such simple ingredients yet could feel so soothing at the same time. A hot coffee-based drink on a cold, rainy day is like a snuggly hug. Staff called out your name when it was ready for pickup. Love starting my day off with the strong flavor of Vietnamese coffee! By far, this might actually be the best tasting Vietnamese coffee I have had in all my years. And, I'm usually not a coffee person either. Didn't taste watered down and/or heavily sweetened at all. Everything's just right. Definitely would be going back next time for other coffee/fruit tea drinks.
