Small cute little coffee shop right before metropolitan avenue. Very aesthetically pleasing. I ordered a very berry hibiscus, there was nothing special about it. Would've probably tasted the same if I would've brewed hibiscus at home. I also got a feta cheese spinach croissant. The croissant was actually really good. I would definitely buy it again. I would go back if I drive by and want a coffee, or craving a good croissant.

Iced latte - better than the first time

I came back for a 2nd visit about 2 weeks ago, a little more than a month after my first visit. I ordered the same thing in hopes of improvement. While the iced latte this time was much better than the first time (the first time I sadly threw it out, and I did not do it lightly as $6 is alot of money to just throw away), it was just ok. The cronut was also just ok. I didn't really like it but I didn't want to waste it since I bought it so kind of forced myself to finish. I continue to hope that they improve; there's just so much potential for them because of the location they have and how it's a nice place to sit down in. I will probably wait yet another month to give it a final shot.

I've visited twice on weekend afternoons and The Hill's Cafe is a very welcome addition to the neighborhood. The decor is really chic, comfortable and clean and the baristas have been friendly on both of my visits. It's really nice to have a coffee shop with a relaxing and welcoming vibe. On my first visit my husband and I got the cookie butter latte (addicting!), and chocolate chip cookie and an oatmeal raisin cookie that were both really good. On my second visit I got an iced coffee and a salted caramel donut. The donut was a little sweet for my taste so I would try the lemon next time. Looking forward to visiting again soon!

It was a nice day and decided to take a walk to try out a new cafe. The service was great, our barista was super nice. That being said, I don't know if it is because they are new, but they seemed to be out of a lot of things. We asked for a matcha latte and they said they didn't have any matcha. We asked for an iced tea and they said it would take about 20 minutes to make. Finally asked for an iced coffee, and somehow got charged for a cold brew. We also got the cinnamon roll, and it was average. The bread was hard and it was a bit bland. Overall, chalking a bunch of this up to growing pains and hoping that they can improve!

Loved everything about this cafe! The barista was so so friendly, she took my order fast and I was in and out. It was quite busy but she managed to be efficient. The prices are fair, coffee was delicious, sandwich was healthy and filling. 10000% coming back here for the food, coffee, and especially service!

Lovely little cafe! Came here for a quick caffeine pick me up and was greeted with friendly smiles and quick service. Their cold brew coffee (Large cup $5.5p) was (in hubby's words) a proper one: perfectly strong, but not bitter. I also nabbed one of their red velvet donuts ($3.50), a dense cake donut filled with sweet creme. Plenty of seating inside, spacious. There are a few steps at the front, so keep that in mind if you have a stroller. Tip: pay in cash and get a 4% discount. Great small business!

The service was great. John was very friendly and patient, a must for me. The food was very good, high scale taste. The Chai latte, homemade, was a Chai with a delicious feel of avena and horchata...delicious. The almond spiced croissant and spinach feta pastry, warmed, were heavenly. Come and try it out. Also, my group used the restroom. They liked it, nicely decorated and super clean. Before I forget, John will make surprise sandwiches any given day. Try your luck and come by or call for sandwich surprise !

i'll have to try them again. the caramel latte i got tastes like straight up coffee. i usually order a latte from dunkin' donuts because it masks the coffee taste and is sweeter. maybe that's not how real lattes are but it just wasn't what i was expecting. it did wake me up though which i needed at this early hour. the pastries looked really good.

Red Velvet Donut

The coffee and the brioche-type Red Velvet Donut was good, and the staff are super accommodating and friendly. Great ambiance too! Their hours are 7am-9pm daily. Would come back. Entrance is on Ascan.

I ordered the ginger honey drink and it was made with little chunks of ginger. The drink was ok, the popping Boba not a fan of personally especially when I didn't ask for it. The service was a bit slow when there were only 3 customers ordering and a few stragglers sitting around. It took over 15 minutes for me to receive my drink. Definitely try it out, other items might be better.

The decor is absolutely stunning, filled with cultural touches that make the entire space feel immersive and welcoming. It's spacious too, which makes it perfect for working or just hanging out. I'm so glad we decided to check this place out! * Butter Tea ($3.15) This was my first time trying butter tea, and wow, it was delicious. Served piping hot, it had a rich, slightly salty taste, like sipping on warm, salted butter in the best way possible. If you've never tried butter tea before, this is the place to do it. 5/5 * Banana Lassi ($4.80) The presentation was adorable -- the little umbrella on top was such a cute touch! While the lassi was refreshing, it leaned a bit watery for my taste. Still, it was enjoyable. 4/5 The prices here are more than fair for what you're getting, and the man at the front was super helpful, adding to the warm and inviting atmosphere. Whether you're looking for a cozy space to relax or a unique spot to get work done (hello, free WiFi), I highly, highly recommend visiting Arya Cafe. 5 stars!!

My critique is just that their matcha quality is very disappointing. I won't focus on this because this is a smaller business and I think the coffee is pretty good. I think next time I would go and try a recommendation.

Best of all, their specialty coffee and tea are surprisingly affordable--most drinks are only around $5 to $7, which is a steal compared to many boba and tea shops. The space is spacious, comfy, and beautifully decorated, with free Wi-Fi and clean bathrooms. Their playlist is very nostalgic, playing songs by Jay Chou, Khalil Fong, and Fiona Sit. Perfect for working, grabbing a coffee, and picking up flowers all in one stop. *Golden Osmanthus Jasmine $6.5 I love light, floral teas, and this one was perfect. It is a blend of jasmine tea and osmanthus topped with cream foam. Delicate, refreshing, and not too sweet. *Black Sesame Latte $6 The black sesame cream foam was so nutty that I literally scooped it up with a spoon. The flavor turned mild once mixed with the espresso and milk though. *Matcha White Chocolate $7 A Christmas special! I was so excited to see they serve "matcha donut latte" which is quite popular last year. The vibrant green matcha latte is topped with a ring of whipped cream and funfetti. A very warm and cozy drink. *Warm Tofu Pudding $6 This tofu pudding comes with either ginger or osmanthus syrup. I added lychee jelly, mixed fruit jelly, and red bean. Warm, cozy, and especially comforting on a cold day.

Known for delicious dessert, matcha, and unique lattes!…read more Upon searching for another matcha place in Flushing, I happened to stumble across The Duo Coffee. There are plenty of seats but during the weekends they fill up quickly. I would just recommend coming in earlier. Really enjoyed their strawberry matcha latte and banana latte. The matcha had a strong creamy flavor that complimented the strawberry flavor very well. Judging from the color, it was definitely a decent quality matcha. The hot banana latte was not too sweet and really impressed me with the taste. It wasn't artificial and was very comforting on a colder day. I also tried the oolong tea cheesecake. The texture was moist and the perfect density for a cheesecake. While the tea flavor was light, I would get it again. Excited to try out their other drinks, they also have a selection of desserts like the tiramisu that will sell out quickly.

So a little walk necessary from the subway but worth it for the espresso drinks ands space to work. Upon arrival I was able to be nut order with the cashier. During the weekday is a great space to work. The wait is minimal and I received my order quickly. The latte was excellent! The espresso was smooth and therefore paired well with black sesame. The sandwich was good but nothing special. Great cafe but more savory selection.
