This is my first Time at the new location. Will say I miss the old location! It stayed packed. This move wasn't wanted but they're making the best of it. Cakes on display when you walk it. Plenty of seating and staff are attentive. Food... typical diner food. If you like steak they have a deal on Wednesdays! All you can eat but you have to dine in.

High quality diner in the heart of Western Queens, NY. My larger than normal (by request for 2 extra eggs) spinach mushroom omelette was excellent and sized right. Rye toast was toasted perfectly. Portions in general are generous even without special requests. Our server was highly accurate & friendly but seemed a bit overworked. Service was not slow to the point of detracting from a very enjoyable experience though. There's a large parking lot available, an important plus for this area. The Georgia Diner is always a solid choice!

I finally made it to Georgia Diner after living in the neighborhood for years. I stopped by for lunch with my brother, and we both found the food and service to be solid as far as traditional diners go. I had the tuna melt, which came open-faced on a pita with a side of fries and cole slaw. The melt and the cole slaw were great. The fries could've used a few more minutes in the fryer and a bit more salt, but they were okay. My brother had the silver dollar pancakes and a side of bacon, which he said was tasty. The coffee was your standard diner coffee. Our server was really attentive and kind. We definitely plan to be back soon.

I had high hopes for Georgia Diner because this has been a staple for years now and I've been coming here often! But unfortunately the experience I had was disappointing. I ordered steak and eggs and specifically asked for my steak medium rare. It came out well done. My family also ordered the T-bone steak, requested medium rare as well, and both steaks were also well done. On top of that, the food took a very long time to come out. Between the long wait and the incorrect steak temperatures across multiple orders, the experience was frustrating and not what we expected.

A food companion suggested we check out Georgia Diner since it was nearby our destination. I ordered the corned beef hash with two sunny side up eggs as it is my bench mark meal to order at a diner I have never been to. As suspected, it was prepared in the typical diner way and satisfied my morning hunger. The coffee was solid too, as you really can't go wrong with diner coffee. What unexpectedly stole the show was the doily under the coffee cup. Easily the nicest, highest quality doily I've ever seen. It was such a small touch, but it really stood out. The ambiance was casual and relaxed, and the service was friendly and efficient. If you're in the area and looking for a dependable, no-frills diner, Georgia Diner delivers.

Bacon with 2 eggs over easy

Decent spot for a quick bite. The atmosphere is exactly what you'd expect from a local diner. The diner has its own parking lot. We were seated quickly and our server bought the coffee just as quick. I ordered bacon with two eggs over easy. While the eggs and toast were standard diner fare, the bacon was the absolute star of the show. It was thick-cut and perfectly crispy without being burnt. Overall the experience was a respectable 3.7 rating.

Eggs, bacon, and home fries

Came here in a rainy Saturday morning for breakfast. It looked like a pretty busy diner but we were seated immediately. Since it was cold, I wanted some soup. The Matzah ball soup I got was a small but it was smaller than I normally receive at diners. It was okay, needed a bit more favor. Eggs and bacon were good. Basic breakfast ya know. Can't complain. Our waitress regularly checked up on us. We were also asked for regular coffee refills which was nice.

I'm not sure why this diner has such low reviews or rather mediocre. I've been here a bunch of times in the past, but not within this past year. So, I wanted to come back to see what's changed. The menu has definitely changed as now there's cash or credit card pricing on it. Otherwise, this place hasn't really changed that much. There's still the dessert area where people wait around at too. But we didn't have to wait as there was seating. Got seated right away and was given water and a menu off the bat, too. The service was great, and there are servers everywhere. Foodwise. I ordered the Angel Hair Pomodoro. They gave a ton of pasta and a large portion of the baked chicken, too. I wish they gave more of the sauce, but overall, it was good. It came with either soup or salad on the side, so I picked the soup. All in all, this place shouldn't have such low reviews, and I was pleasantly surprised!

Georgia Diner is a major dining establishment growing up in Elmhurst. It was the place to go after shopping at the mall and you wanted to cool your jets to break for a cup of tea or coffee. As you walk in host greets you and brings you to booth. Staff always makes sure your coffee is filled to the rim. Waitress is fast with getting orders in and your meal comes out pretty quick. Weekends its very busy as you see parking lot fill up. Georgia Diner will always be here in the Elmhurst neighborhood. My favorite is the Eggs Benedict. Decor very festive and cozy here.

Moussaka
Sheila M.

Service was well attended. I ordered the eggplant moussakka. The flavor was delicious, and the eggplant was well cooked. The sauce was not too watery and spiced well. The whole family enjoyed the wide selection on the menu. The salad was plain and could be chopped finer; lettuce pieces were too large. The main dining area lighting is a little too dim; they can use better light. The original Georgia diner was nice and bright. They have a parking lot, but the main entrance is tricky because it is very close to the corner of Queens Blvd, so be careful when turning in or out.

Grilled cheese sandwich and fries

Basic Diner food, nothing more, nothing less. While we were in the area, we passed this diner that appeared to be a neighborhood staple. Out of curiosity, we thought to check it out. Fortunately, the wait was short for a party of two. We ordered the 3 egg omelet with spinach and a side of the corned beef hash and breakfast potatoes. This meal came with toast. The second order included a grilled cheese sandwich with tomatoes and a side of fries. Each of these meals just tasted blah! I enjoyed the hot chocolate. The fries came fresh, so you could add your own salt. However, the corned beef hash tasted like it came right out of a can and old. Overall, the staff were pleasant and seemed to have a system of getting things done but not enough for me to return.

Steak and eggs

Ordered the steak and eggs. The steak came out over done. I asked for medium rare But it came out well done. Not going back there again.

Om G!!!! This place truly lives up to the name. I work up one hazy mornings afternoon. With an…read moreaching hunger. In my stomacho. Yo tengo hombre fo reel. My mother was in town from out of town area, I wake up late and she doesn't. She wakes up really really early. She always has she's and early riser. She's worked in health care for the last 25 years and was an early riser prior anyway. Yo anyway this place was lit. But also so mom was in town and she wanted like hella options. She also kept wanting a gyro the whole time she was is in N Y C. But also on this particular day she didn't wanna hit the legit type beat gyro spot she wanted some else maybe, OPTIONS. So I was planning on taking my mother - and my special friend as well. To "Tina's diner Bushwick New York" but guess what. We got our WAY TOO late. And even tho Tina's was taken over by the dudes who ran ya yas (also low key/high key a solid ass gyro spot) they have added tacos to the menu but kept those same old school azz hours after Tina's retired and moved to Florida (she's deserved it, what a lady) (also remember the rumors?????) anyways... um where was I. Yeah we were trying to go to Tina's which is an institution as many know and it's also closer to my home (in Bushwick near the Jefferson and or Morgan stop) but you know they kept those old school hour 6am to 3pm so we missed them. SO I decided to take my mother and this particular special lady to tastys instead. Tastys I know, arguably (actually probably not arguabley) but better food than Tina's but you know Tina's got the vibes. That old wood paneling and 10 11 dollar whatever basic meat you know wha I mean? I always get the basic meat plus like 4 drinks, milk, large OJ, coffee black (just like my metal) and soda water, and regular water I need the whole pitcher. Anyways we were not at Tina's diner on this particular day we rocked with the tastys. Which is a little further from me but also has more selection, quality ingredients, and old school vibes. Black and white tile flooring, red fancy chairs, you know like tha scene from pulp fiction before emu Thurman ODs or whatever? You know what I'm talking about but the lights are all on and there's a bunch of windows and it's day time and it's beautiful! They have nice plants in there. Anyways, I got a turkey club - it's was PROPER, my special friend got a chicken Caesar salad club (minus the chicken cuz she's vegetarian/ but I asked her to get the chicken on the side / why lose food and waste money you know? I'll eat the chicken you know wha I'm saying? ) and my mother- she went with the gyro after all (reg gyro comes with parchment gyro pretty tasty but hella veggies) my turkey club was PROPER. I also got a delicious VANILLA milk shake COM AT ME. anyways 5 stars will be back . ALSO the beautiful server man gifted us a FREE piece of cake. He said meals come with free desert (idk if that's true but the cake was definitely at least. Day old )) it was supposed to be a tiramisu but I'm not so sure. So good I give it Yummerz out of 100. Plus on top of that the server was handsome. He had glasses.

The lack of attention was infuriating, especially when they were known for great food and great service. That was in 2025... In 2026, let's see what's changed. Decided to invite my mom and sister out for lunch as I was craving a burger. Let's get this out of the way. The food was really good and tasty...pun intended. The waiter started off with taking our order and I thought to myself; oh wow they've actually stepped up their customer service. Much like my San Francisco Giants....that glimmer of hope in the beginning is always met with disappointment 10 minutes later. The waiter decided to pull a Houdini and disappear. He never approached us to ask if we were ok or needed more coffee or anything. The other waiters didn't seem too attentive to the other tables either. It wasn't overly crowded but I decided to give the guy a break. 30 mins later....nothing...no one was around. My mom said she saw the later walk out and then he came back in a few mins later and not once approached us. Finally after losing my patience I ask out loud where is the waiter??? Another waiter comes scrambling and asks what's wrong and I stated we were left alone for almost 40 mins. I needed the check and expressed my disgust; that this was the second time my family and me were treated like this. The manager had the nerve to come and say he didn't charge us for two cups of coffee. I wasn't expecting anything comped but if you're going to make that gesture then do something better. He apologized and honestly, I wasn't having it. The old Tasty's was amazing. Their old staff was perfect and it's sad to see this former Astoria staple has fallen. Prices skyrocketed and service plummeted. Won't ever comeback.

Didn't take too long for a table, maybe 15 minutes. It's popular for those who know. We got seated in the back.
