Parva Bakeshop is just not it quite frankly. First I don't know how they package food for delivery but to have the coffee spilled absolutely everywhere with just one Saran Wrap on it is a bit ridiculous. Second the empanadas did not taste fresh & instead tasted as if it was frozen & reheated quite frankly. Third, the empanada itself wasn't great. The meat tasted old & yes a generous amount of meat was given & this place is inexpensive but why spend any money if the food is simply not good. Just food for thought.

    Multigrain Croissant with BEC

I really like how everything is fresh and made ready to order. The multigrain croissant was good, but the actual BEC sandwich was really dry. I would have enjoyed the multigrain croissant without anything in it. I like the passion fruit tres leche. I thought it wasn't too sweet or bitter, however my sister did not like the tres leche because she said it didn't have enough milk and it tasted dry. Overall, I would recommend and return!

Unfortunately I can not speak to the ambiance at this location since I ordered food to be delivered to my job. However, they fulfilled the order quickly and the food is pretty good and flavorful. I got the smokehouse BBQ chicken which contains grilled chicken breast, coleslaw, crispy onions, and BBQ sauce. The sandwich was definitely filling and had really good taste. I was pretty pleased with trying this place for the first time and definitely will be a repeat customer.

I have had this place bookmarked for a few months and was able to check it out yesterday. It is very small and it was packed, even on a rainy Thursday afternoon. The tables were full! I was greeted quickly but because it was so packed, I ordered quickly. Completely not their fault, just felt like I had to. I tried the chocolate croissant and Dulce de leche roll. I LOVED the Dulce de leche. It had so much layers and each layer was full of cinnamon flavor. The place was clean and cute. Not many displays. Maybe I will visit again someday and it won't be so packed so that I can enjoy it better.

This place is interesting. It's a cafe with attached laundry mat next door. Multifunctional purpose for this building. Had to try the food. Service is friendly. Check out my pics for food reviews.

Lovely little spot for a coffee. Or to do your laundry. It's a coffeeshop connected to a laundromat but don't let that fool you, it's actually good coffee and a nice place to sit for a bit. Free wifi and plenty of seating and outlets. Enjoyed my latte and the people working were nice. They had lots of options and the menu skewed towards Colombian flavors. Recommend!

I rolled (and am still currently rolling in typing this review frantically) in around 9 AM to get some work done, ordered a medium coffee and a multigrain sandwich (about $13 total), and was pleasantly surprised by how quick and efficient the staff was. The coffee had this smoky, roasted flavor that made me pause and go, "Wait, this is good." The multigrain sandwich was great too and I loved the avocado. The coolest thing about Parva, though, is that it's connected to a laundromat. Yup, you can sip your coffee, nibble on a sandwich, and watch someone fold their socks in the corner. It's strangely charming and makes the space feel both practical and quirky. If you're in the area and need a low-key spot to get stuff done -- or you're just curious about this coffee-shop-laundry mashup -- it's definitely worth a visit.

I only tried the triple chocolate croissant. The outside of the chocolate croissant looked like it had chocolate strips. Unfortunately it is not chocolate strips, it burned bread. The inside had some chocolate that seemed to be off, the filling on the inside might have been 20% chocolate mixed with hazelnut and something else. Definitely does not deserve the name of a Triple Chocolate Croissant. Next time I will try something else.

Cauliflower Red Lentil Empanada(vegan) Spinach & Mozzarella empanada

Great bakery and cafe with a wide variety of items, many classics with a twist. The vegetarian empanadas are delicious, with unique fillings, baked perfectly. The mini cornbreads are slightly over baked, or are stale by later in the day.

This is my nee favorite place! We tried the breakfast burrito and breakfast croissants. As well as their Guava twist and Dulce de leche cinnamon Roll. All of it was delicious!

A little coffee for my meeting

Parva is a nice little spot to stop by and grab coffee or a quick bite. I was in the area and found myself forgetting about a work meeting that I had to be in. So I was able to get a coffee and set myself up with my laptop at a table. They did have a sign stating that, during busier business times such as lunch hour, they have a 30-40 minute time limit at any table. The reason for this is because the establishment is small-ish, with only 3 tables (but also 2-3 high top tables, by the windows) The service is great, the workers were courteous and friendly. I ended up also grabbing a Chicken Cobb Salad to go; it had grilled chicken, boiled egg, cherry tomatoes, feta, cranberries on a bed of arugula with poppyseed citrus dressing. It was a regular pre-made salad, nothing to rave about but still nutritious. I would say, though I have not had them, they seem to have a lot of homemade cakes and pastries and lots of sandwich options, which I would love to maybe try next time. Overall, a nice spot. A little on the expensive side but worth it, I suppose.

Bowl of oatmeal, Eggs Tipico with salad and bagel with avocado

Excellent bagel (tastes a bit like sourdough). Beautiful, very fresh salad with interesting combination of flavors. Generous portion of oatmeal with lots of toppings. Good amount of seating and quick, friendly service.

Parva is a pretty decent spot to grab a bite and a coffee. It is a bit strange that the coffee shop is connected directly to a laundromat. Not like... just the same building, but you can just walk between both businesses without even going outside. Makes for a kinda weird atmosphere. That said, most of the drink options are good, and the food options are also pretty decent.

There are certain gimmicks that I don't subscribe to, which is any kind of fusion in bagel form…read more (#1) Between The Bagel proved me wrong, in a way that I haven't fully yet recovered and as a result has become a go-to destination for me whenever I'm back in Astoria. They've done such an outstanding job across the board (customer service, price, food, etc.) that I am constantly thinking about going back. Located on the constantly busy (#2) 30th Ave, one wouldn't notice this place as being any different from any other bagel shop. There's hardly any seating but a steady stream of customers all throughout the day. The NSFW signage (#3) keeps the place fresh and interesting, if not extremely memorable. The first thing that is offered (and often complimentary) is their fried rice balls, dubbed "Ben's Balls" that are mixed with seasoned rice, kimchi, topped with a gochujang mayo that would wake up any sleepyhead. Each bite had a nice crunch, but the lingering effect of the kimchi makes it addicting. It is the ultimate complementary snack, a desired, potluck item, and frankly genius. This is not something I would ever consider getting out a bagel shop, but having had them I would gladly buy them by the dozens. Most folks are here for the Seoul Meets Bagel (SMB) and rightfully so: it's layered with chopped bulgogi meat, cheese, egg, kimchi, topped with gochujang mayo and is packed with flavor. While the dank ass pork sandwich is a crude name, but it's not hard to see why it's one of their best sellers. Their regular bagels are also excellent. Folks who are expecting a large variety of cream cheese may find it disappointing that there's only a handful in the display, but they do have lox, bacon scallion, tofu cream cheese, and some flavored cream cheese. For what it's worth, my toasted everything bagel with lox was fabulous. It was pillowy soft, nicely toasted, and extremely filling. Offering Korean savory bagels wouldn't be complete without actual Korean fare, which is also a part of their larger than expected menu. It includes items such as Korean fried chicken, kimbap, pajeon (various), bibimbap, kalbi, ramyum, and mandoo. This is in addition to the burgers, breakfast platters and sandwiches, and a number of pastries. The staff is mostly Spanish and English speaking, in addition to the owner Ben who brings Korean to the table. Prices are very reasonable for Astoria and I'm hoping they continue to stay that way. This spot is the ultimate neighborhood spot and I'm insanely jealous of all the residents in the area that get to enjoy this on the regular. ___________ (#1) Why mess with something that doesn't need changing? Oh, because palate + innovation. (#2) And incredibly gentrified. (#3) One sign reads: "My happy place is when I tell people to .... FU, KMA, MF, STFU, SOB, SMD." Oh how New York.

Just because of a situation that happened prior with a Uber Eats order, you want to hold a grudge get over it. With any other customer it's friendly like a butterfly but as soon as me or my grandmother comes in there, it's an issue. Nah I had enough, this is the last time I'm or my family ever walking back in there.
