If you're looking for quick , fast, service this is the place to go. Fast service is something always needed in the airport and they provide just that. It is a walk up and order establishment and you wait for your name to be called for pickup. I needed a quick pick me up so I opted for a raisin bagel (my favorite), it was a huge , fresh, and toasted to perfection. I love raisin bagels and let me say, you've never had a bagel unless you've had one in New York.

A stop at Zaro's has become a tradition for me. Located on the second level of LaGuardia Airport towards gates 40-59. Their service is friendly and efficient and the space is always clean and tidy. The wait time is minimal but can uptick through peak hours. A breakfast sandwich and coffee is always my go to and have yet to be disappointed.

We were on wait for our flight at La Guardia Airport and stopped for a quick bite, they had a nice selection of bakery items and sandwiches, and muffins.I got a hot Latte a everything Bagel w chives cream cheese, and a Turkey croissant sandwich. The bagel was delicious and my wife also loved the Blueberry Muffin and the sandwich was fresh and delicious, their service fast friendly and pretty fast and worked quickly, even though they were busy .It's a good place to get a quick good tasting bagels N sandwiches, good tasting coffee too.

I have been getting these bagels for years! Always good and super consistent. The scallion cream cheese is top notch and they don't skimp on it! I hate when I get a bagel with only a little dollop. I've had bad airport bagels and this is not that! Prepare for around 7-10 minutes to get your food and if that time goes by remind them your name/order and they'll make it happen fast.

July 10, 2024 - I actually had this last year, but I did something so stupid and put it in my bag and left it in the overhead compartment the entire flight back to Toronto. So this time I made sure I had enough time, sat down and ate the entire Bagel!! It's quite expensive but would I get it again, YES! Staff was wonderful and service is always great.

For an airport bakery, it's not bad. The bagels are fresh and service is quick. I had an afternoon flight and Zaro's made my everything bagel with veggie cream cheese quickly. My ice coffee came out before the bagel. I made my way to the terminal and had time to spare. It's an airport cafe so the vibe is fast paced. They don't have vegan cream cheese for bagels. I hope this will change in the future. Business sales would likely increase. Overall, the food is good and service is quick. Everything is clean and sanitary (from what I could see). I'd visit Zaro's again.

In LaGuardia AGAIN. Ordered a grilled chicken ciabatta sandwich, only because they didn't have what I really wanted. The sandwich was just okay. When I'm there again, I'll go back and see if they have what I want next time. Overall, customer service was good.

For an airport bagel spot I'm shook by the quality. Honestly really fresh bagels with tons of options. No vegan cream cheese but they do have avocado ! Efficient staff and fresh bagels you can't go wrong.

In a nutshell, it's decent airport food that's overpriced. I paid $7-8 for a small, but tasty smoothie, $15 for two slices of average french toast, and $6 for a good bagel (the strawberry cream cheese was less than stellar though, not very flavorful).

Really simple but really good for airport food!

Ordered an everything bagel with their omelette option and added ham as well as a mango madness smoothie. Total was $22, had a good amount of ham inside and sandwich was made to order. Bagel was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Eggs were not overcooked. Ask for hot sauce. Really good airport food, I was shocked!

If you want bagels with lox with tomato, cream cheese, capers, this is the spot. I love this spot. Every time I visit, I get this item. It always makes my flight amazing. Sometimes the right thing comes at the right time. The service is also quick and efficient. Yes, I recommend it.

This is an airport yet the service was dreadfully slow for just the basics like a bagel with a Schmear and nova. Drinks caused a back up to the point where some people abandoned their beverages after paying double-digits for a coffee. I am New Yorker- The same bagel, locks, and cream cheese at Grand Central Station takes about 90 seconds in, then out and cost about five dollars less. Tip: if you really want a bagel, don't get anything on it. Save your $17, the product was just plain inferior

The layers were flaky. The cream, exceptional. Such a wonderful Pistachio flavor. Sweet enough to curb any sweet tooth. Service was easy. We ordered at the pastry display and they brought our desserts to the counter where we also ordered a Lavender lemonade. It was so good. Starbucks Lavender has nothing on theirs. The ambiance was nice. Some camped on their laptops. Others running in for a quick bite. Beautiful dining area. Very comfortable, as well. The booth couches are a nice touch. We will most definitely be back!

I ordered the strawberry tart, lemon tart and pistachio Mille fille. I really appreciated the packaging and the takeout bag, which made it seem very high end. The pastries were all pretty good and were HUGE. The tarts are very similar and the pistachio Mille fille has a subtle taste. It was reasonably priced. My only complaint is the checkout process. It was slightly disorganized but I think it was mostly due to the amount of customers they had that day.

There's usually a line of some length during peak hours and especially around the holidays. You can tell by the sheer volume of baked goods and cakes available in their window displays that they sell a lot daily. This location is on the main drag of the little downtown section of Forest Hills, the baked goods in the front window display connect to a tall and long glass counter along the left side of the store that extends almost to the back. At the back middle and along the right side of the wall there's seating for about two dozen people at small cafe tables. They carry an assortment of traditional cakes (full and sliced), pies, cookies, pastries, cheesecakes, cupcakes, ice cream and coffee/tea drinks. A wide variety of flavors in each, so you're bound to find something sweet to satisfy most here. They are a classic bakery so from what I can tell, they don't carry items that are gluten, dairy or nut free. I've purchased their apple pie, fruit tart, berry napoleon, red velvet and chocolate fudge cakes from this or other locations in the past and they're all solid choices for desserts to share with a larger group, though I find a lot of their cake options to be on the richer side. My most recent encounter with their cakes came in the form of a slice of their seven layer cake $9.95 which is thin layers of yellow cake alternating with chocolate cream mmm pretty tasty, and their caramel cake $9.95 which had a layer of chocolate cake in the middle, sandwiched by caramel cream and white cake on either side. The latter had a pronounced caramel flavor that was enjoyable though a bit too much cream for me. My preference would be for their chocolate cakes over other cake flavors here. Their apple pie is one of my favorite apple pies anywhere tho!

It's absolutely amazing, and the filling is very generous--it feels like heaven in every bite. Another favorite of mine is the chocolate layer cake: rich, velvety smooth chocolate that isn't overly sweet. The only thing I don't agree with is that they do not clearly tell customers that dining in adds an extra $1 charge to each item. Yes, check your receipt. I'm expected to tip my waitstaff and also pay an extra dollar per item just because I chose to dine in. For example, the cupcake is usually $4.75 to go, but they charged me an extra $1 for dining in. Their cake slices are usually $9.50 to go, but I was charged $10.50. I also tipped 20%, so the added charge felt frustrating, especially since there was no clear notice. When I asked the waitstaff about the $1 charge, she said it was entered that way because I dined in. When I later called about it, the manager simply said, "Next time, just order to go if you don't want to be charged extra." That response was disappointing, especially since there was no visible sign explaining this policy, and their dine-in menu does not show separate pricing. I really think management should fix this to avoid misleading customers. Transparency matters. Don't get me wrong--I would still come back because their cakes are amazing, but from now on, I'll always order everything to go.

However, the staff were also super warm and accommodating, and the quality of the items we got (gluten free vanilla and chocolate cupcakes) was great. The actual cake bases of both types were moist and flavorful. I could've gone with a little less frosting and more cake, but it made for a very aesthetically pleasing topping with the vibrant colors, sprinkles, and glitter. I kept getting strong hints of rose flavor from the pink frosting on the chocolate cupcakes so I'm not sure if they infused it with that. Overall, a great little spot, and really a savior for procrastinators looking for sweet goodies to take to a gathering when other last-minute ideas fall through!

Over the years, as many of those bakers retired, the number of quality bakeries slowly dwindled. One by one, many of the old favorites disappeared. These little sweet treats are unbelievably addictive. I've brought them to gatherings and shared them with friends and family, and without fail they disappear almost instantly. I honestly can't think of another baked item I've purchased that has been so universally loved.
