Okay so I want to say I love this place but I feel like I can't say it with the desserts that I tried the other day. Unfortunately I don't remember the names well but the first one was a peanut butter croissant and the second was a cold brew doughnut type of dessert. The peanut butter one didn't have peanut butter anywhere expect for the dollop that fell to the side. It itself was just a croissant with dark chocolate up top which was a little boring for me and the cold brew doughnut not only didn't taste like coffee at all but had barely any filling. That being said, I did give them 4 starts because I know they have a lot of great desserts. I would recommend getting the Tiramisu or the Crème brûlée if you are ever here. The coffee is always super consistent and great as well and service is great too! They always try to help those on line as soon as possible and make your drinks in a timely manner! This cute little dessert and coffee shop is definitely a great place to try different desserts and chat with some friends!
The French Workshop proudly showcases signature pastries, cakes, croissants, and sandwiches. I came back to The French Workshop to purchase some breakfast items. I ordered an almond croissant ($4.50), Nutella croissant ($4.25), and matcha white chocolate bombolini ($5.50). The croissants were flaky and buttery. The matcha white chocolate bombolini was super soft and light. The middle had a matcha white chocolate filling, but wasn't much. I wish it had more of the smooth pastry cream. The French Workshop does have high quality pastries, but I prefer their desserts.
I already wrote a review for The French Workshop but they're just so great that I decided to write a second review haha. I got the spinach puff pastry & passionfruit macaron. Both were great. The staff was also great & very patient as well. I wish I had a French Workshop location closer to me but Bayside is not too far from me :).

Despite the crowd, our barista crafted perfect mocha latte and cappuccino with impeccable foam and flavor. But the real showstoppers were the pastries we took home for ladies' game night: crème brûlée, apple crumble, lemon tart, and tiramisu. We paused our Five Crowns game to devour these stunners - they were GONE in minutes! The holiday decor and those adorable nutcrackers added such a special touch - it truly felt like a winter wonderland in there. If you're looking for a host gift or just want to treat yourself, these four pastries are must-haves. Highly recommend!

It's a perfect balance of flavors and textures, made with layers of vanilla sponge cake, rich chocolate mousse, dark chocolate, and caramelized hazelnuts. The fact that it's available in both individual and family sizes makes it even better for any occasion. I loved it so much that I personally ordered the Crunchy cake for my husband's birthday, and it was a huge hit. Beyond cakes, I've also ordered macarons, cupcakes, Oreo pops, cookies and pastries, and a variety of other desserts on different occasions. Everything has been consistently fresh, mouth watering delicious, and beautifully presented. The French Workshop never fails to impress, whether it's for a small personal celebration or a larger group. It's a bakery I confidently recommend for anyone looking for high-quality desserts with amazing taste.
Some of the best coffee I've ever had! I'm not into fancy coffee orders so I can't help with that. Their regular coffee however was simply outstanding. The small is indeed quite small, so order accordingly. They have a wide selection of pastries which looked delicious! Service was fast, friendly & accurate.
Yum yum yum!!! I've had their crunchy cake and a few pastries before and have always loved everything, but this order really blew me away. My sister-in-law and I picked up a spread for our Emily in Paris binge (very on theme), and every bite delivered. We tried the Pistachio Mille-Feuille, Profiterole (choux filled with custard and topped with chocolate), La Mûre (vanilla cake layered with blackberry ganache and mousse, finished with fresh raspberries), a raspberry beignet, and the strawberry tart. I've had mille-feuille many times, but this was easily the best. The pastry was perfectly crisp, and the custard was incredibly light, fresh, and packed with flavor. Nothing was too sweet, everything was beautifully balanced, and you can really taste the care in each dessert. A perfect treat for a cozy, indulgent night in.
Came here with fellow Yelp elites Mei C and Lonnie K. and we got few macarons and a slice of cake to dine in. I got the lavender, raspberry, passion fruit, cookies and cream. The lavender was my favorite. You can taste the lavender and I love lavender. Raspberry was kind too sweet. Place is very nice with the round, marble tables and sofa along the wall. A lot of people though and all you hear is people talking with their coffee and desserts. There is outdoor seating as well but it gets really hot outdoors versus the central air indoors.
Bakery @ Bayside, NY The bakery offers cookies, cakes, macarons, bread and sandwiches. I have tried their loaf of pound cake which was very good at the recent bridal shower. We tried raspberry beignets which were very fluffy and light. All the Harney & Sons teas were great. A nice place to hang and enjoy good pastries! The interior was very clean and modern.
The tomato burrata focaccia and cheesecake was a 5/5. The sweet treats are very sweet so would not recommend if you do not like pastries/desserts that are too sweet. The ice white mocha was very good. Service was quick and efficient even though the line and how to order was kind of hectic. Know what you want to order before. The bakery had lots of seating inside and outside, modern looking, and comfortable. Will definitely come back here again when I visit the area!
Stopped in for dessert with my daughter. I got the Pistachio mi feuille and my daughter got the Raspberry mi feuille. I have to say. Mine was better haha, but both were delicious. The layers were flaky. The cream, exceptional. Such a wonderful Pistachio flavor. Sweet enough to curb any sweet tooth. Service was easy. We ordered at the pastry display and they brought our desserts to the counter where we also ordered a Lavender lemonade. It was so good. Starbucks Lavender has nothing on theirs. The ambiance was nice. Some camped on their laptops. Others running in for a quick bite. Beautiful dining area. Very comfortable, as well. The booth couches are a nice touch. I had stopped here on Mother's Day to pick up some pastries. I was surprised to see a long line out the door. The ambiance of the venue was nice and the service was okay. I ordered the strawberry tart, lemon tart and pistachio Mille fille. I really appreciated the packaging and the takeout bag, which made it seem very high end. The pastries were all pretty good and were HUGE. The tarts are very similar and the pistachio Mille fille has a subtle taste. It was reasonably priced. My only complaint is the checkout process. It was slightly disorganized but I think it was mostly due to the amount of customers they had that day. read more
This should be a 4.4. Cute Bistro where you can grab delicious Baguettes with Country Style Ham, and Swiss, along with a plethora of Heavenly pastries. The Turkey Swiss Croissant is a savory bite of flaky deliciousness. Some of our favorite sweeter bites include the Raspberry Creme Brulee Cheesecake. It's rich, not too dense, with a delectable Crumble-style crust. Also, the Fruit Tart, which is an extremely light whipped custard. It's so light, it almost feels solely like fresh whipped cream versus a custard. It's topped with plump Strawberries, Blackberries and Blueberries. Their coffee's decent too, along with various milks, except Coconut, which they should get. We normally get their Caramel Macchiato, which is very smooth. Overall, it's one of our favorite quick bite spots and never disappoints! read more

All those high ratings are justified. I ordered a couple of desserts through uber and I was not disappointed! The raspberry creme brulee cheesecake was fantastic! The chocolate dessert was also good. I will definitely try more pastries next time. You must give this bakery a try! read more

A beautiful array of desserts, sandwiches, and everything in between. Prices are extremely affordable especially for the amount of detail and craftsmanship in the mini cakes and lattes! Staff is always extremely polite and eager to help. My favorite part of all is the setting, it truly feels like a French bakery! The seating outside is comfortable and pleasant, inside is the same as everything is very clean and well decorated. This is always a staple to hangout with friends and have a nice drink and dessert. If you want a unique cafe with a vast selection of goods, this is it! read more
French Workshop is one of my favorite bakery shop! All their cakes are rich and delicious, I love their chocolate cakes as well as fruit cakes. Their bakeries are also delicious, I like their croissants, sandwich as well as quiche. This time, I tried their marron cake since I'm a chestnut lover and it was delicious! The cake was made with chestnut mousse and there was a chestnut inside which I loved! There is also a caramel sauce inside which matched perfectly with the chestnut cake. Whenever I'm in Bayside on Bell Blvd, I always stop by here for their iced matcha latte or cold brew & pastries too. Love their spinach & feta bougatsa, apple puff pastry, plain croissant, creme brulee and Monte Cristo sandwich. This Queens location is probably the smallest one out of the 5 with a decent amount of tables- very clean, the service is usually quick and much more friendlier than the locations on LI. Have to try it for yourself :) read more

Fellow Yelpers are right this bakery is definitely a popular spot for great pastries, cakes, sandwiches, and sweets. Visited this shop during the late afternoon, ordered a slice of the Nutella Cheesecake and a few Macarons (the pistachio macarons are sold-out). I liked the decadent cheesecake slice; though, I really enjoyed the bottom portion of the buttery crust more. The Macarons also tasted good- Cookies and creme- had just the right amount of sweetness; though the passion-fruit macaron was really sour. Overall, a good pastry shop in Bayside read more

2 cappuccinos, 3 cookies and 1 pistachio croissant will run you $30. Very expensive. Was good but not for this price. The peanut butter cookie lacked the peanut butter taste. The pistachio cookie also lacked the pistachios. I was hoping for a crunch of some pistachios...nothing. The oreos cookie looked and tasted like Oreos. Extremely long lines, slow service. I ordered pastries for my dad while in bayside. Line was not long except both their credit card machines were not working it took them 20 minutes to realize while this poor older gentleman kept swiping his card. By the time I got up that machine did not work also. At this point I'm like just take cash Dad said pastries were delicious read more

Came here for a snack. I had a sandwich, pastry and a cold brew. Service was friendly and efficient. The ambiance was perfection! Small round tables surrounded by Beautiful baked goods, with Parisian cafe vibe music! My favorite thing about this place are definitely the pastries! The custard was fresh and tasted like cannoli cream, the pastry was flaky and the raspberries were fresh and sweet! read more

My husband l explored Bayside area last weekend because it was an area we haven't been to in a long time. I'm glad we did because there were so many cute eateries and dessert shops there including this place. It must be a popular pastry shop because it was bustling with people. There were pastries everywhere. My eyes lit up and took in all of the sweet treats. I wish I took more pictures. I finally decided to buy the Tiramisu and the mixed berry tart. The prices were reasonable for the portion size. The mixed berry tart didn't disappoint. I liked the Tiramisu without the hard sweet topping. The topping threw me off. I personally prefer whipped cream on the side. I'm looking forward to trying other desserts next time I'm in the area. read more

Nice establishment a width variety of cakes cookies and pastries. They have chairs to sit in the back. Very clean, neat, and organized. I ordered a medium cold brew ice coffee for $3.00. I asked for liquid sugar. I was told it would be on the side it wasn't. The barista was very nice he apologized and prepared for me some liquid sugar. The coffee it was not strong, tasted like regular ice coffee, and it was not sweet. I was a little disappointed. read more
It have been a while since I been here so I figure I give it another go. Wanted to order the cake in advance but they don't take orders. The counter people at every nice and service was good but not able to place an order for what you want in advance is frustrating. I had to go really early since my daughter wanted to try La Mure. Suppose to be vanilla sponge cake with mousse and ganache. All the fuss and and we were very disappointed. The mousse and ganache in the cake was almost non existent. All you taste was the vanilla sponge cake which was very dense and dry. For $45. I feel some kind of way. Guess I can skip this place for good now. read more

Do you mean like a Costco sheet cake to serve a crowd? I believe you can get a large or a custom cake if you order it in advance, this isn't what they make on a daily basis.

Are the macaroons made fresh daily?
No. They are kept frozen until ready to serve, as are most products from TFW. They are made outside, frozen, delivered and finished at TFW. There are a few items that are actually made there fresh.
Tastiest dessert here to feed a group of people that's a crowd pleaser?
Yes this bakery has a large selections of desserts, pastries for breakfast that should cover those looking for savory rather than sweets.
How much is one box of macaroons? And how many in a box?
Sorry I don't know. But just call them they will tell you.
Do they make the cake named Edelweiss with mocha &hazelnuts?
I am not sure but lots of pastries with hazelnuts and many types of chocolate. Call them before going if looking for that specific cake? It is a great place to try other than that specific cake! Enjoy!
