The pollack roe crossaint was pretty good, which shocked me a little. The balanced flavor of the sauce and pollack roe, with the buttery of crossaint went really well together. The matcha einspanner was slightly disappointing, I think it might be a personal preference but I didn't like the taste of their matcha. It is a more grassy taste.
Came and tried a bunch of desserts with a large group after having dinner next door, and we were all very satisfied! The setting of this cafe is HUGE, with multiple floors of seating; if I lived around here, I would definitely come hangout all the time! The onigiri croissant concoction the cafe sells is very uniqur and has a great texture; they all come with different fillings but are delicious! Also tried the Assam Milk Tea bingsoo, soft serve, and variois pastries, which all came out great!
So I have been coming to Cafe W once every 1-2 months after I get a haircut, and the size of the croissant onigiri ($6.50) has progressively gotten smaller and smaller since I started coming a year ago. I get it since the economy has not been the best, but I was quite disappointed this time. It was around 30% smaller than it used to be AND the mayo pollack roe was empty. There was a tiny chunk of roe on the top so I know I didn't purchase the wrong item, but the inside had no filling at all! Just bread... Unfortunately, I don't see myself coming back here anymore.
Cafe W is so delish! Went savoring and got the cheesy onion bread along with their famous cronigiri. The cronigiri was just as delicious as when I got it the first time, while the cheesy onion tart was not was I expected. Jammed packed with onions, and a Dijon type sauce covered in cheese. Not bad but not my fav. Glad I tried it, but maybe it needed to be heated or warmed for it to have full flavor potential. The strawberry earl grey iced tea was fire!!!! I need to grab it again. I also love the cool beverages/lattes they feature. I want to try a new drink every time I come here! Finally, I do love coming here to work. There's ample space with plenty to snack on while here.
While I have been a regular here, I feel like the professionalism of the staff has declined significantly. They look like they don't want to work there. Looks pissed off if you ask any questions. I asked for a recommendation for their fruity drinks. They said the grapefruit ade was the best seller. It tasted so bad, was definitely not worth the price. Ordered a black coffee with hazelnut, which was good. Biggest concern is, why did I get a salt bread that did not finish baking?! The inside of it was partially raw. The dough was still cold and stretchy/doughy. That's literally what they're known for, and charge an insane price for a pastry that doesn't require a lot of ingredients to make. Disappointed, don't think I'll be back.
Came here with my boyfriend on a rainy Sunday evening after having had dinner in the area and craving something sweet! We were immediately drawn to how big the entire store was on the inside, and I loved that it was well lit but not overstimulating. We looked through their bakery selection and we wanted to try so many things! As it was raining outside, there weren't too many people in the cafe but the staff were friendly and attentive! He chose the Salted Bread with a topping that I forgot the name of, as well as a Custard Bun and the Dirty Chocolate Crumble Croissant. I chose a Blueberry Croissant and Black Sesame Croissant (pictures not shown), as well as the Earl Grey Cassis Mousse. I also ordered the Iced Black Sesame Latte and my bf ordered the Yuzu Mint Ade (not pictured but delicious!). We sat down with our drinks and ate the Salted Bread (which was delicious but super messy and kind of hard to eat but it was fun) and the Custard Bun (it was like a ginormous cream puff which was extremely filled with a nice and creamy but not overly sweet custard). We also ate the Earl Grey Cassis Mousse which was AMAZING! It was rich and creamy but not overly sweet, and although it looks small and the price looks hefty for its size, the taste was outstanding and it was definitely smart to share it with someone! The iced black sesame latte and yuzu mint ade were great thirst quenchers, and my boyfriend and I would definitely come back here!
I've only tried the Dubai chocolate mochi so far, but omg I'm completely addicted. I heard the chewy Dubai chocolate cookie was trending in Korea and there's a version of it at a bakery in the city that's a bit too sweet. Being a queens girl, I'm glad cafe w is making them. The texture is so fun! The outer layer is chewy and covered in a dark cocoa powder and the inside has kataifi mixed with pistachio cream. The best thing is that it's not too sweet. Hoping to try the salt bread next time since it was sold out when I visited.
Saw a lot of about this place so was excited to swing by. Large space with two floors. Could easily fit large group hangouts or small study sessions. I was expecting the interior to be more elevated and aesthetically-enticing honestly, but it was a casual spot instead. The desserts were cute but nothing I'd rush back for. Good photo moment. Wish I had come in time for the Onigiri Croissants. They must sell out very early. Tip: all bakery items are 50% during the last hour! If I was more hungry, I definitely would've taken advantage of that great deal.

Finding parking on Northern Boulevard or in their small lot can be a challenge, so be prepared to look elsewhere nearby. But once you're inside, you'll see why it's popular, the place was completely packed and buzzing with energy, even on a freezing cold day. The pastry case is loaded with tempting options, including the viral Dubai chewy cookie and all sorts of breads. We tried a few things: the salt bread was a highlight, light, fluffy, and perfectly savory. The French toast was another winner with a crispy edge and a nice dusting of cinnamon sugar. The chive and cream cheese bread was tasty, though absolutely packed with a lot of rich cream cheese. The much-talked-about Dubai chewy cookie was just alright for us. It was coated in so much cocoa powder that it was messy to eat, and we wished the pistachio flavor was stronger. We also tried a matcha latte, which was pretty standard, it didn't have a strong matcha taste and watered down quickly. Overall, Cafe W is a solid spot with some real pastry highs. If you're in the area, it's worth a visit for the excellent breads, but maybe temper your expectations for the trendier items and drinks.

I think the Vanilla creme Cronigiri was a perfect pastry, not too heavy and not too sweet. I also got an iced latte and an iced matcha latte, which were okay nothing to write home about. The staff was friendly and even offered to bag my leftovers which I thought was a kind gesture. The cafe is quite spacious and plenty of room for seating even with groups. Excited to go back and try more of their pastries.
Nice side street spot that has upstairs and downstairs seating. Cute dessert options and some more traditional items like croissants. Shared the Salted Butter Bread with Cream Cheese Chive with some friends but this was a bit too rich for me. My favorite was the Strawberry Brioche and Blueberry Brioche Croissants. Paired it with a Lavender Latte-which had just the right amount of flavor and sweetness.

Some items were great, some items were okay. The drinks were also hit or miss-weirdly the special they had at the time, with the Sweet Potato series, was the highlight of the show. They were unique but light and really refreshing. For the actual baked goods, I really liked the mousse and french toast, but wasn't a big fan of the oni-croissant. We felt it was too much bread and not enough filling, but that is simply our preferences. The aesthetics was very fast causal and they have different seatings throughout the cafe. It was pretty full but we got a seat pretty quickly. read more
After wanting to try this bakery for the longest time, I finally got the chance to try it recently. The inside of the cafe is huge, with tons of space for you to hang out with friends or chill and get some work done. I came to try the famous Dubai chocolate mochi and some drinks. The dubai chocolate mochi itself was alright. While the marshmallow portion was good, the pistachio/kataifi filling tasted very oily. I got the misugaru latte--which I wasn't a fan of--but my friends got their sparkling drinks, which we all thought were pretty good. Overall, I could be willing to give this cafe another chance (maybe I just chose bad items), but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. read more

this is a great cafe to come do work and just overall hangout. i had the bingsoo it was ok i would recommend the pastries more. the workers are also super friendly. read more
This place is huge! There are a few spots out in front for parking. Their bingsoo looked so good in the reviews and I wanted to try but it was very underwhelming. I ordered the strawberry bingsoo and paid $20 for just strawberry syrup. Would not recommend. Other people had fruits in theirs but not mine :( Also got the Affogato - this was actually really good! Be warned that it looks like a lot of ice cream but there is a giant hole in the center so it pretty deceiving lol. They had other pastries and desserts that looked good that I would try. read more
I wish I lived closer to this shop so I can have their Cronigiri everyday. Parking is very limited so you might have to park and walk but still worth it. The Cronigiri is a must have. The chive bacon cream cheese was my favorite. My only regret was that I didn't get more to take home with me. The iced black sesame latte was the right balance of sweet and nutty. Highly recommend both. It appears they had seating upstairs but there was plenty of room on the main floor. They had other delectable pastries but was focused on the Cronigiri. read more
We stumbled upon this bakery after lunch and even though we were stuffed, we were lured inside. Was gonna get a drink but ended up getting pastries lol. The pastries are comparable to the nicer ones in the city and the prices are similar. The bakery section is mostly self-served like in most Asian bakeries, for cakes and drinks you have to order in line. The cafe is airy and spacious, and it has two floors, lots of room for chilling. read more
Love how spacious this place is and it's amazing they have parking right out front if you're driving in. Otherwise plenty of street parking in the neighboring residential areas. Tons of choices to choose from both savory and sweet but be aware all the savory items are also sweet. I was aware that Korean baked goods loved to add sugar to their cream cheese and cheese mixtures but I did not expect all four of the pastries I bought to include that sweetness. It definitely was a little too much sweet for me but if you're getting a one off pastry, you'll be fine. There's an upstairs and an outdoor patio area. Great spot for work and stud read more

Finally checked this spot out and they have so many oily, heavy, and sweet and savory breads. I really enjoyed the chive bacon onioissant, garlic butter baguette and salter butter w/pollack roe bread. It is very heavy, but delicious. I would say you can buy two pastries and share it with someone. My friend and I were too full to even try sweet potato custard butter bread (fourth pastry). I would love to come back and try their desserts such as cakes, mousse, iced shaved cups, etc. I am so glad this place exists because you do get tired of eating the same pastries from paris baguette. It is a nice change! I wish they would create chains of Cafe W across NYC. It is clean and spacious too. Parking is limited in the front but you can find parking in the residential area. read more

Decided to give this place a try based on the good reviews. Their raspberry pistachio mousse is outstanding! All the different flavors are really good together! Also tried the black sesame latte and a hot cappuccino which were all tasty. The Cafe closes at 1030pm on Saturday and at 9pm, it's still fairly busy. I have a feeling if they stayed open even later, people would still come by. Plenty of seats and tables to hang out as well as an upstairs seating area. The one thing that I would rate a B+ on, is the echo on the first floor because of their high ceilings which makes for a noisier sound level, and also their very bright lighting makes it feel less cozy. I'll be back for sure to try their other baked goods. read more

Have I ever had onigiri? No. But have I now had two onioissants (onigiri + croissant)?! Yes and I need more! My friend and I tried a oniossant w/ cream cheese, bacon, & chives, and one with vanilla rice. She got a black sesame latte and I got a matcha latte. Everything was excellent! The place itself is two floors with tons of space to hang out/do work! I'm so glad i stumbled across this place on tiktok before it got banned! read more
I've probably been here 4 times in the last month with is unusual and probably a bit dangerous health wise, but that damn Einspanner keeps calling to me and I get an iced one each time! I was well on my way to 5 stars but I thought about a couple of minor issues... I was pretty disappointed with the vanilla/black sesame ice cream twist came with look pretty large to find a hollow center - pretty deceiving. 1 out of the 4 Einspanners didn't hit the mark - it was made a little less generously and instead of thick layer of cream on top it was a bit thin and watery.. so there are some consistency issues that I noticed. Perhaps it is my psyche trying to find minor issues with this place to give me some distance to avoid making it a habit because it would be very easy with their delicious breads and pastries.. I got the garlicky pull apart bread, which is unlike me because garlic doesn't always agree with me, but it was so sweet and buttery it hit the spot. The onion flatbread was cheesy and creamy with plenty of soft onions that was very delicious. I tried the Mayo Pollack Roe Oniossant which had great flavor and generous roe filling. So besides all the trendy baked goods they make here they also set the agenda by inventing new ones (Oniossant/Cronigiri). Anything Ive tried has been as delicious as it looks. There is an aesthetic to this place that is very mindful, very demure as Tik-Tokians might say. Its pretty easy to see this place stands out in an area packed with cafes. A few parking spots in front, a second level so there is plenty of seating.. Cafe W is my go to! read more
Bookmark this post immediately if you're a fan of korean cafes/bakeries!! Cafe W & Bakery is a two-floor cafe in Flushing with ample seating, high ceiling, and most importantly, pastries comparable to those I had in Seoul. If you've seen the viral Nudake croissant-themed cafe in Korea, you can find onicroissants that taste even better and with more generous fillings here. As a sucker for anything corn, the sweet corn croissant has won me over with the sweet corn cream cheese filling. While their sweet croissants are fully stuffed with custard fillings and not too sweet. If you prefer sth basic, their salt bread is also very solid. Incredibly buttery. The chive salt bread has too much cream cheese for my liking though. My favorite bread/pastries listed in order: - Sweet Corn Croissant - Bacon Chive Onicroissant - Black Sesame Raspberry Croissant - Salt Bread - Lemon Croissant - Chive Salt Bread - Baked Blueberry Bread Pudding - Injeolmi Red Bean Bun The einspanner is creamy, thick and fluffy, complementing with the nuttiness of coffee. Like most korean drinks, it is on the sweeter side. My only complaint is their location is inconvenient if you don't drive. I'm excited to try their cute cakes, bingsoo and more pastries next time. read more
I came here with a group of friends to try a few desserts: the strawberry shaved ice (bingsoo), raspberry pistachio mousse, and the Earl Grey Cassis Mousse. Everything was so delicious! The strawberry bingsoo is definitely a good shareable amount for about 5-6 people. It had creamy shaved ice, a scoop of vanilla ice cream, fresh strawberries, a jam-like layer, and a cookie--sweet, refreshing, & perf to flush down the grease after dinner. I also really enjoyed the mousse desserts. The raspberry pistachio mousse was also sweet and very delicious, though i couldn't really taste the pistachio flavor. The Earl Grey mousse was surprisingly very delicious. It had layers of chestnut cream, cassis confit, and Earl Grey mousse that blended so well. I would definitely come back to try the other drinks and pastries! read more
Had the matcha Croissant, Bacon and Chives Onicronut, Almond croissant, and raspberry cake. All were delicious and unique. Onicronut was a cool concept but flavorwise, it was a bit dull. 4 parking spots in front but people park way over the line so really only 3 spots. Found parking on the street a block and a half away though. The area with the breads is a little tight when there are several people grabbing breads. But the seating area on the ground floor is comfortable. I didn't even check the upstairs seating, but it looks even more comfortable in the pictures! The staff seemed like they were in a chaotic mood. The owner(?) was moving things to the back, and the receipt printer got jammed while I was in line. They were polite and efficient though. The Yuzu Earl Grey has a pretty good balance of the flavors with fresh yuzu slices, though I personally would like more Earl Grey flavor (extra bergamot for me!) The Mayo Pollack Roe Oniossant (Cronigiri) had great flavors in the mayo pollack roe mixture (onion-y garlicky). I like the crisp glaze on the outside, contrasted with the soft croissant inside. There is a decent amount of filling, though most of it is towards the bottom. Don't expect this to be a buttery airy croissant... it's a compressed croissant so that it holds its shape and fillings. I would like to try thier other flavors. The Salted Butter Bread is buttery for sure. It is too crisp on the outside for my preferences though. I wish it was soft outside like the inside. This texture seems better for their Butter Breads with fillings, which I will have to try. The Injeolmi Soybean Bread has thick layer of cream over a thin layer of red bean paste on the inside. It is the perfect balance of the two. It is also covered in injeolmi powder so it is definitely a messy eat. If you like injeolmi and red bean paste, this is worth a try. I'm not a huge fan of cream, so I personally wouldn't get this again. Pricing is on the higher end, but quality seems to be there. I like the cute subtle logos on their bags and coozies. They have unique offerings, so worth trying for those! read more
I've had this on my bucket list for a while, and the only reason stopping me was how it was not the most accessible without a car. There are a few options: - Take a bus - Take the LIRR to Murray Hill - Take a car I took a bus from Flushing Main St, which was about 20min. It drops you nearly right by the Cafe, but be ready for it to be a trek from the city. Is it worth it? I thought so!! I loved the different pastry options. A lot of unique flavors; everything looks beautiful! I ordered a lavender latte and two of the renowned cronigiris - the bacon mayo one. I noticed a Yelp review that mentioned the packaging. Cafe W has upgraded, and the packaging to-go is quite nice. My friend ordered a mousse dessert, and it was packaged in a pretty (and hardy) box. I got my cronigiri in a square plastic casing, and stayed intact for when we brought some of our pastries home. My friend and I enjoyed our drinks and other desserts there. It's a nice cafe; great for studying or chatting with friends. It's overall very quiet for a large space which is nice, and there's even an upstairs area. Service was good; they provided a cup of water when I asked. I liked their croissant-onigiri creation. It has a good umami flavor with kewpie mayo and bacon filling. I will say the pastry didn't as delicate folds as I'd like for a croissant, but given it's a very cool shape and a hybrid of onigiri, I don't mind. My friend and I also enjoyed their blueberry croissant. The cream was so light and fluffy. These pastries are quite large; it was optimal to use a fork and knife. I'd recommend for others to visit. Cafe W has easily become my favorite cafe in the area but this place is definitely not for the faint of heart. Mainly croissant-based pastries that are extravagant and on the rich side. They have an olive bread that is wonderful to take home and dip in olive oil too. The pastries are a little on the pricey side but pretty unique in the sense that you can't find similar pastries elsewhere - good ratio of both savory and sweet. Drinks are also pretty solid, I like their fruit-based drinks. The viral ice cream croissant is really not as insane as it's made out to be on social media--they basically just fill some soft serve in a croissant, but I will say that the black sesame/vanilla swirl soft serve itself is worth getting. The owner is also pretty active in the shop and makes sure things are running smoothly, though my last visit was extremely unpleasant when the staff rung me up for ice cream before finding out the machine was broken and didn't even apologize for making me stand around waiting and confused. Do yourself a favor and do not come during after-Church hours on Sunday. There's either a swarm of big groups of a bunch of college kids lounging--like any other cafe in the area. read more

I found this cafe exploring near my Airbnb on my first trip to NY. It's a bit tucked away but its modern look caught my attention. The space is open and inviting, and the menu is filled with various food and drink items to choose from. The staff was also very welcoming and helpful in giving us recommendations. I fell in love with their Black Sesame Raspberry Croissant--I even went back for another before flying home. Their drinks--I tried their Lavender Latte and Black Sesame Cream Latte, and my boyfriend got their Iced Matcha Latte--were good but not amazing. Cafe W definitely reminds me of some of the Korean cafes I've been to during my trip to Korea! Their baked goods are super aesthetically pleasing and instagram worthy. I came here specifically to try their onioissants (onigiri and croissants hybrid). The flavors were good but didn't have too much flakiness which was disappointing. If I had to choose I enjoyed the chive bacon cream cheese filling more as it was less dry. I also ordered their garlic butter bread which I didn't like very much. It tasted too sweet for my liking. Their salted bread with pollock roe was amazing though! It has the perfect amount of chewiness and was a savory delight. It tasted very similar to the salted bread we had in Korea. Overall, a wonderful cafe with innovative pastries and breads. Prices are reasonable as well. I'd come back next time to try their cafe drinks! read more
