Cute new dessert place in flushing. The presentation is nice. The desserts are not very sweet if that's what you like. I personally would like it to be sweeter. The cheese cubes with grape dish is quite bland. The staff were very nice.

Wanted to come to try their colorful deserts. 1) summer pudding - $9 2) peach gum jelly resin add on - $2 3) salt & pepper chicken - $7 The desert is great for one. Got it with jasmine tea milk. I liked all the toppings. The green balls tasted like quickly's pudding or the pudding from other boba spots. The bunny was coconut pudding. There were two fruity types of popping bobas and the darker one was a really blue dark night shimmer color. Both were pleasantly not too fruity. The taro / mochi balls were great. They weren't too soft but definitely well cooked. Peach resin was very broken. It was not as jelly textured as I am used to. I would come again for this desert. The popcorn chicken portion was super small. It was one layer of chicken. For a comparable product at 8 0 9 0 taiwain at NY food court, their chicken is full for $8. I would skip the savory items but it had nice flavor. Def worth a try. Three tables and a metal circular one along with free wifi.

4/5 matcha mochi strawberry sweet potato $7.50- this is so innovative we couldn't resist, we love: sweet potato, matcha, mochi & strawberry, the mochi is like a sap? consistency, Chex added a nice crunch, wish it didn't contain red bean tho since it's already sweet 2/5 peach jasmine cream soufflé $7.50 - the salty cream ruined it, doesn't say slaty cream on the menu or we wouldn't have gotten it, also the only peach flavor is in the popping boba, wish it had actual peach & peach cream, also didn't jiggle as much as we hoped

I came here with a group of 5 people for dessert on a weekend afternoon. This place was not busy since it's on Union Street and not very close to Main Street. We ordered 3 desserts: the matcha yogurt snowy ice, the Thai tea snowy ice, and the summer bowl. The desserts tasted fresh and I liked most of the toppings especially the popping boba. The pictures in the menu don't really match what you get but it's fine. Service was friendly and fast. I would come back if I'm in the area.

I was almost disappointed when I saw their sign still said closed a couple minutes past 11:30 AM, but they switched it really quick. Service was friendly and attentive. The Som Tum Pu Pla-Ra had such a delicious spicy, fermented briney umami to it. The crab was tender and well marinated, so it is on the salty side. The papaya and vegetables still had a good bite to them. The spiciness is no joke. Enjoyable, but I definitely wanted a break in between bites. A must get if you enjoy these flavors! I got the lunch special, which is available everyday (yes, weekends included. I was here on a Saturday!): - Complimentary Salad: crisp and fresh veggies. Great peanut sauce. - Chive Pancake: Crisp exterior and airy interior. The sweet chili dipping sauce added great flavor. Not too sweet or spicy. - Garlic Noodles w/ Crispy Pork Belly: the pork belly was really crisped up, so some pieces were a bit too crisped up for me. The noodles were cooked well though. A lot of good flavos, a bit heavy on the salty umami but I like that. I'd choose a different protein next time. I did take the som tum pu pla-ra and the garlic noodles home for leftovers. Both maintained their deliciousness. The Mango Thai Tea has a good balance of mango and thai tea. It was a little sweet, but not overly so. Overall a solid Thai spot in the area, especially for the lunch special! A lot of fellow diners ordered the lunch special as well.

Tom yum soup and mango sticky rice were great! The fries were underwhelming and lacked any seasoning or salt. The first two times we went the pork belly was really good but they changed to a much thinner and less fatty version that had bones in it so that wasn't as good this time. Still a good spot for Thai food, but would try other items next time!

I still remember them seating a group of 14 of us after pickleball with no issues at all :) The portion sizes are generous and everything looks very aesthetically pleasing. I first came during Restaurant Week and got to try a variety of dishes and an affordable price. The Pad Thai Boran quickly became my favorite. The duck is also very crispy and pairs so well with the citrusy pineapple curry sauce Their cocktails are also worth ordering. I've tried both takeout and dine out by now. The dine in experience last week was far better than the takeout experience a couple of weeks back. Food tasted better and tasted consistent to the same food I've tried at Malii. For dine in last week, we tried their Mango based rum drink each and luckily made it to their Happy Hour time so was charged $8 less, a good deal. We got their Zaab Zaab wings which were good and ordered the Crab Fried Rice and Panang Curry in Beef. Crab Fried rice was pretty yum with actual chunks of crab meat while the Panang Curry tasted just okay. Hope they can work on that. I also ordered Thai iced tea which was very watery and somehow tasted like medicine, they didn't charge me for it and I appreciated the gesture. Looking forward to try them again and hoping their taste profile can be as good and consistent as Malii. Service was warm and friendly, thanks for that! :)

The chive cakes and moneybag dumplings were the best I've had from any Thai restaurant. I get the moneybag from Siam Thai every time. The tomahawk short rib was massive! It comes with roti bread and you definitely need an order of jasmine rice to go with the curry. This is a must try to share. Service: 5/5 The service was amazing! Pond was our server and he was so accommodating. We went on a Friday night and our food came out in 2 minutes. I think this was the fastest I've had my food come out. Ambiance: 5/5 The ambiance is warm, inviting, and full of character, with decor that reflects a traditional Thai aesthetic. The space feels thoughtfully designed and comfortable, creating a relaxing dining environment that stands out from more typical casual spots. It strikes a great balance between cozy and lively, making it just as suitable for a casual meal as it is for a more special night out.

We ordered a mix of dishes to share, including a whole live fish, calamari with shrimp, and pad see ew. Everything came out flavorful and fresh, and honestly the portions were great for the price. It's one of those places where you can order several dishes for the table without feeling like you overspent, which makes it perfect for a girls' lunch or dinner. One thing I really appreciated was how accommodating they were for the birthday. We brought a cake and the staff kindly cut it for us and brought out cute little plates and forks so everyone could share. Small touch, but it made the celebration feel a bit more special. The space works really well for groups, and the atmosphere is lively without being overwhelming. The only thing I'd plan ahead for is parking -- it was a bit difficult to find a spot, so getting there early definitely helps. Overall, good flavors, affordable dishes, and a great place to gather with friends for a celebration or casual night out.

Our group was quite hungry as we had just walked maybe 14-16 or so miles, and I looked up the local spots around where we finished, and this lovely place popped up. We arrived pretty early for lunch, and there was already a handful of people here, but by the time we left, it was crowded. The inside has a nice design, almost reminding me of the old markets in Bangkok back when I was there. The female server we had was very friendly, giving recommendations to the people in our group who were less familiar with Thai food or helping them decide between dishes. I will note, though, that we were unaware of the lunch menu until post-meal, but that was fine with me as I left happily full. While I only had one dish and a bite of an appetizer, I would definitely go back here, and I wish it were closer, as I found this spot a gem among the many Thai spots. Someone else ordered the Curry Puffs for $10, with homemade puff pastry, ground chicken, potato, and onion with cucumber relish, as an appetizer. The dish arrived with three puffs, and I had a tiny bit of one of the parts as I wasn't sharing this dish. From the little I tasted, the puff was standard, but good, with a lightly spiced filling. The cucumber relish was slightly sweet as expected. The presentation was also nice, as there was a piece of watermelon radish as well as some sliced carrots. My main dish was the $16 Sukhothai Spicy Pork Noodle Soup with thin rice noodles, handmade pork meatballs, roasted pork, long beans, bean sprouts, peanuts, dried shrimp, and boiled egg. The dish arrived with a cracker with their logo on it, which was a fun touch, though it was soon dipped into the broth. The broth was slightly rich and quite porky as expected, and was mildly spicy. As per many other traditional Thai spots, though, they gave the usual mix of chilies and chili sauces, so soon, the spice was to my liking. The pork meatballs had a bit of bounce, and the roasted pork had good flavor. The rest of the vegetables and peanuts added a good crunch. The noodles were plentiful, and while I prefer egg noodles or thicker rice noodles found in other Thai soups, as they grab onto the broth better, they worked here. The rest of the people enjoyed their more generic dishes, ranging from green curries to Pad Thai to Pad Kee Mao/drunken noodles. I wish this place were closer, as I would definitely go back. The ratings are high, but justified.

She made a reservation for us, so we got to sit together on a long table, which had two grills/pots. They have quite the variety of meats, seafood, veggies, carbs and desserts for you to pick and choose. Some of the proteins have marinated versions, which changes it up a bit. Of course, you can make your own dipping sauce. Most of the meats are best on the grill, while most of the seafoods are best in the hotpot (or maybe hot pot then grilled? will have to try next time). The veggies are great anywhere, though you maybe need to cut up some of the veggies (like the broccoli) to fit in the hot pot. The desserts change seasonally, besides the shaved ice. I do enjoy the Mango with Sweet Coconut Sticky Rice, but that is seasonal (mango season). The service is attentive and helpful. They changed out the grill for us a couple times, and cleared away out empty plates. At $39.98/person for all the food, it is definitely worth it for the variety and quality of ingredients. I will have to frequent this place more often!

Did that sound like the Ghostbusters song? We came in on Halloween night and the staff were dressed in costume, as were many customers. It was a packed house, but turnover was constant and the hostess was able to squeeze us in with no reservation. She said that we'd have to be done by 8pm, since she said there was a reserved party coming in. We said no problem, we'll order quick and eat even quicker. A lot of Thai restaurants have been popping up lately, but what makes Thai Social stand out is their menu that not only includes many standard dishes like Pad Thai & Pad Se Ew, but also the chef's special creations. For this first time, I wanted to try dishes that are not run-of-the-mill. We started with the Snow Mushrooms appetizer, which was a spring roll wrap around a cluster of beech mushrooms and deep fried. It was very tasty, especially with the sweet chili dipping sauce. There are 5 pieces meant for a larger group, so it was a little much for just the 2 of us, but no complaints because we were hungry. The Kai Toon Talay was up next with squid rings & shrimp on top of a steamed egg omelet in a spicy sauce simmering on top of an open flame. You need the Jasmine rice because it is a very rich and heavy dish. The Khao Soi Gai is a chicken leg in a similar spicy sauce on a bed of ramen noodles and topped with a cake of crunchy deep fried thin noodles. I wish it was all crunchy noodles because the ramen noodles were a little soggy. Even though the drumstick was pretty big, it was just one piece. A whole thigh/drumstick quarter would have been more generous. We finished our meal in the allotted time and can't wait to go back to try some of the standard dishes, as well as to explore the rest of the specials menu.
