Kra Pow with Chicken and Fried Egg
    Yuna C.

Love that they have the lunch special (appetizer + entree) available on the weekends! I got the Kra Pow at a medium level spice but it still got a kick that was addicting - the fried egg addition was a great compliment too. The Zaab Wings were addicting too with the hot but also sour/citrus seasoning - just drooling thinking about it again!

Food is delicious here but they are limiting meat portions now, sadly!! Service is ok!! Take out is pretty good!! Restaurant looks nice from the outside!

Service was wonderful really really quick for how busy they were! Store was nicely decorated, I just wish I could see the second floor LOL. We got pineapple roasted duck which had a nice sweet and savory sauce. The duck itself was tender and had crispy skin but I didn't think it had much flavor. Next we got the crispy pork belly much had delicious water spinach but the pork was very hard and not yummy. The water spinach was my favorite part of this entire meal. We got a pad Thai baron and it was good but I didn't like the texture of the egg. We also got a Thai iced tea. I think it was on the higher price end too.

My friend and I wanted to sit outside because they have a patio, but they didn't set it up. They said they expect to open it next month. We ordered Mango Branzino Rolls, chicken pad kee mao, and Pineapple Curry Duck. They have lunch special daily from 11-4pm but we wanted try other dishes on their menu. No regrets. It is a bit expensive, but they give you big portions. We enjoyed all the dishes very much. The pineapple curry duck comes with one bowl of jasmine rice. The service is great and they refill our water pitchers. We left there satisfied and very full.

Well I love Thai food and when in Bangkok didn't disappoint. Tasty and delicious food. Serving can feed 2 people. It was a lot. Our waiter was very friendly and bubbly. The place was a cute little restaurant. Definitely worth a second visit.

When in Bangkok is absolutely worth the hype. The cocktails are excellent and thoughtfully crafted, and the food is so good. We ordered the Drunken Noodle, Khao Soi, and the Braised Pork Leg--every dish was packed with flavor, comforting, and beautifully executed. The Khao Soi in particular was rich and aromatic, and the pork leg was tender and very satisfying. The ambiance is cozy with really cute decor, and the overall vibe feels warm and welcoming, even when the place is buzzing. It does get very packed, but it's 100% worth the wait. Portion sizes are generous and prices are reasonable. Our server was incredibly friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better despite how busy it was. Easily one of my favorite Thai spots--I already can't wait to go back.

My favorite Thai spot in Queens! It's so beautiful inside. We ordered Thai tea and sometimes it's a miss but this spot never misses. It was perfectly sweetened and creamy. For our dishes we got the vegetable thai fried rice and the panyang curry with vegetables. I usually always go for a meat dish but because my friend was vegetarian I wanted to get something we can both share. Service was quick! Lots of people were eating when we went. Def recommend reserving for a nicer outing. Totally understand why this spit is top 10!

    Som Tum (Papaya Salad)
    Gia H.

Food was so good! Som Tum salad was super flavorful and fresh. There were diverse flavors from the crunchy green papaya, crispy pork skin, green beans, peanuts, and tomatoes. Both Kao Soi and Tom Yum Noodle Soup were explosions of flavor - heart warming and satisfying. Kao Soi is a sweeter, heavier curry whereas the Tom Yum Noodle Soup was more sour and craving satisfying. Service was good and ambiance is cute! Would go again.

So far, I haven't had one thing I didn't like from the menu. Authentic thai staff and presentation and food is so flavorful. Pineapple Curry Duck - not too spicy, crispy duck skin, great variety of vegetables Mango Branzino Summer Rolls - nice umami fish accompaniment to the refreshing and light rolls Crab Fried Rice - solid lumps of crab with rice Pad Thai with jumbo shrimp - so moist and unique with the way they cook the shrimp almost like a lobster Strawberry mixed drink (forgot the name sorry) - soooo easy to down quickly. It tastes like a creamy pink drink with the alc taste barely coming in

We walked in for a Sunday night dinner. The space is modern and the food presentation was pretty. There's a restaurant week menu for $45, which includes an appetizer, entree, and dessert. They were out of the panna cotta. The food was fine, not amazing. The shrimp ceviche was slightly fishy. The tamarind crab curry only came with half a crab, but the soft shell crab karee came with plenty of crab. The soft shell crab got a bit soggy in the curry. I think having it served on the side would've been better. The churro in the dessert wasn't good but the ice cream was tasty.

I recommended When In Bangkok to my family, so we went there for lunch today. I informed our server about my food allergies. The ambiance was perfect for brunch and dinner dates, too. Weekday Happy Hour | Mon-Fri 11:30 AM-5:00 PM $2 Oysters Crispy Wontons: The fried wonton wrappers stuffed with fish balls were crispy and delicious. My niece loved them and kept the whole plate to herself. Tamarind Wings: The spicy tamarind sauce kicked my palate and made the chicken wings flavorful. Chive Rice Cake Daily Lunch Specials | 11:30 AM-4:00 PM Choose a starter, an entrée, and a protein. Spring Rolls + Red Curry + Jasmine Rice + Chicken Spring Rolls + Thai Fried Rice + Chicken Thai Salad with Peanut Dressing + Thai Fried Rice + Chicken I couldn't stop eating the Chicken Thai Fried Rice because it tasted scrumptious. Spring Rolls + Pad See Ew + Chicken The spring rolls stuffed with mixed vegetables were crunchy and yummy. The Chicken Pad See Ew was a little too sweet, so my mom didn't like it. Bookmark this spot to try!

Came for lunch and I was shocked when I saw they had duck pad Thai. I honestly have never been to a Thai restaurant that has that meat as an option so of course, I had to try it. It was absolutely amazing!

Late-night gem alert!…read more This tiny hole-in-the-wall oyster spot is where you end up when you're not ready to go home but still want something good. It feels like a total 2016 time capsule--in a comforting, nostalgic way--with soft lighting, chill energy, and zero pressure to be anything but relaxed. The main event--the oysters are fresh and hit every time, exactly what you want them to be. The cocktails? Fun, well-balanced, and dangerously easy to keep ordering. It's the kind of spot you stumble into once and then keep recommending like it's a secret--even though it deserves all the hype.

Today we were both able to make it here for happy hour, I called for a reservation and was glad that they were able to accommodate a seat for 2. However, we got here and it seemed like there was an event going on, should've been closed for just the event in my opinion. Honestly, we were very psyched to be able to make it here for happy hour. When we received our oysters, it came out in a massive size platter with two dozens in it that took up the entire table space. The waitress then brought out our 3rd dozen at the same time as well and we didn't have any space to use our mini plates. This wasn't a huge issue, it just would've been better if the timing was spaced out with when they brought out the oysters. While we were eating the oysters, it felt like a gamble 50/50 as to when you will get an oyster with extra shell pieces in your "bite" it wasn't cleaned well or shucked as well as it use to be. The environment looks the same as usual, speakeasy vibe, it was just extremely loud with the event going on and like I said, should've just closed up for a couple of hours for that event. For our service, our waitress forgot to bring extra sauce as I had already asked when she initially took our order. Another issue was we finished our oysters and expected to get our truffle fries right after, but it took about 10 min for her to get back to us and by then we were very over it being there and I asked for the check from the same waitress. She then comes back 10 min later and brings the truffle fries and at that point we were already visibly dressed and ready to go since she forgot to bring the truffle fries out within a reasonable timeframe. I personally know what bad service is and honestly, I still don't think this was the worst, but it definitely ruined our experience of coming back to the Attic for future reference. ** If you are planning to come for happy hours just remember that you risk eating oysters with extra shell pieces in your "bite." I don't know how the service is from the other workers as well, so don't base off the entire customer service experience based off this one waitress.

The inside is absolutely beautiful and while they have tables, they also have more traditional floor seating. We got a couple bites of food to eat, some of their tea, and some cocktails. While the persimmon cake SEEMED to be made in house, it was very clear that everything off their food menu required minimal preparation (ie. for the dumplings, it was just har cow). I also thought their cocktails were okay, and out of the three we got, none stood out to me. I did enjoy their tea, however. But, it was also fairly expensive for what it was (~$50). We came with a fairly large group and ordered several teas and snacks to share amongst us. There were several options for the flavors of tea and each one had different benefits as well. It was a bit of a sweet & savory mix, but not strong in either sweet or salty flavors. There was also this persimmon snack that was filled with nuts and other things. It was slightly sweet, very unique, and both paired well as a tea time snack. They're also open until 11:30pm! We also got the 6 handroll combo that came with spicy tuna, salmon, yellowtail, scallop, crab and lobster. I asked for less rice but the waitress said they don't put a lot of rice so I let it be.
