I usually order delivery from When in Bangkok through Uber Eats, but this was my first time actually dining in--and WOW, I'm honestly mad at myself for not coming in sooner. I ordered the Som Tom and the Tom Yum Noodle Soup with ramen noodles. The Som Tom was fresh, bright, and full of that perfect papaya salad crunch, but the Tom Yum... let me tell you... Legitimately the most delicious soup I have had in my entire life. The broth was perfection--the heat was just right, the lime gave it that beautiful acidity, and it was savory, rich, and totally bursting with flavor in every sip. I genuinely couldn't stop eating it. It was so good I felt compelled to write this review right away. If you love Thai food, do yourself a favor and try the Tom Yum here. I highly recommend trying the Braised Pork Leg it was outstanding the meal fell right off the bones! The steamed sea bass could have used a bit more flavor, but it was still enjoyable. The only dish I wouldn't recommend is the Tom Yum Mussels, as it didn't really capture the classic Tom Yum taste. We flew into NY for the day just to eat. I did my research before hand and I really wanted to try the Thai tea roti. The restaurant was small but cute, service was great. We started off with some cocktails and our favorite was the spicy babydoll, we had a few of those. We were pretty full from eating through the day, now we wish we would've ordered more food. We got the oysters and it was so good, so was their seafood sauce and toppings that went on it. We were really impressed by the Thai tea roti and they make their ice cream in house. Finally had a chance to try WIB after hearing many great things, and it lived up to the hype! My fiance & I stopped by on a Friday evening without a resy, and thankfully we were seated quickly. Highly recommend making one though - they were so busy! Between the two of us, we decided on the papaya salad, pad see ew, and the tom yum noodle soup. We were told that the medium spice level would be like Thai spicy - it wasn't. It was spicy, sure, but I think most people can handle this level. I personally liked his pad see ew more than my noodle soup. Maybe I chose the wrong noodle type (thin rice noodles), but they were pretty mushy and broken up within the soup. It was hard to get a good solid piece of noodle. The broth itself was tasty, but near impossible to eat with the noodle mush. I'd probably try the drunken noodles next time - the wide noodles are huge! Service is really attentive & friendly. Ambiance here is really cute - perfect for casual but nice date night. My absolute favorite Thai restaurant in NYC. Out of all their dishes, my favorite are: chives rice cake, steamed seabass, pad thai and kua gai. The chives rice cake are perfectly seasoned and so goey in the inside. The steamed bass, is spicy and sour and just so refreshing.. I can eat it all day! The pad thai has a nice texture and the flavor isn't overpowering and the kua gai, always comes out pipping hot and has so many ingredients and is super satisfying. I really can't say enough about this place. Although I do have my favorite dishes, every dish I've had so far has been delicious. The waitresses are really nice and are explain everything so well, the restaurant is clean, brightly lit and the food never fails to be absolutely delicious. I made a reservation for 8pm on a Monday night through resy. I called because we were running a little bit late and they were very accommodating and still held our table. I believe it is a 15 minute grace period. When we arrived, the restaurant was packed! They use a QR code to scan for the menu. My friend and I ordered the pork belly appetizer, shrimp pad Thai and beef pad see ew. The pork belly was very crispy and some were more meat pieces and others were mainly fatty pieces. The siracha sauce on the side really complimented the pork belly. The pad Thai was very flavorful and the pad see ew beef was not overcooked. It came with a sauce that made the dish more flavorful. This is a takeout order. The food was piping hot upon pick up. Every single dish was wonderfully seasoned and tasted authentic. The dishes we got were the chicken massaman, pad kee mao, and pad thai. Chicken massaman curry was very thick and paired well with the rice. The 2 chicken thigh and bone piece were extremely tender (bone part was pretty tough to eat and required some hands-on grappling!) The crab fried rice is my favorite by far here, as the crab flavor isn't overpowering but instead elevates the rice. The Zaab Wings are super crunchy but almost just standard wings. We tried to walk in but it was slammed so we had to get a reservation for a later time that day! So just saying - reserve in advance :) they won't send you home but just saying so you don't need to search for a pre boba spot to hang out before dinner because their drinks SLAPS. I think the best one was the BKK soul but every other cocktail was quite sweet so it's good for ppl who like sweet drinks. In general I don't but I did enjoy the BKK soul (lychee martini) Our appetizer was Chive Pancake 5/5 and it's a fan favorite! Super sticky and slightly sweet the sauce makes it spicy. I loved that they had an oat milk option, since I'm lactose intolerant, but still enjoy the taste of Thai Tea. The Tom Yum Mussels was very cheesy and creamy, with a hint of spice from the tom yum flavor. It could use a bit more spice or a little less cheese, as the cheese was the most prominent flavor. The staffs were very friendly. At the time I was arrived the restaurant was very busy so I got the seat in the second floors which I was really surprised. I did not know that it had two floors from the outside. It was really spacious on the second floor which to be honest I love it even more than the main floor because it was calmer and more relaxing. I ordered Tom Yum noodle, I was delicious. However I felt like it is a bit Americanized but it is still good. The portion was huge. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was extremely disappointing and frustrating. Earlier in the evening, I called ahead to confirm that outdoor seating with dogs would be available. The hostess assured me that it was fine as long as I arrived before 9:30 PM since the kitchen would be closing soon. Based on that information, I drove 20 minutes one way to get there--only to be turned away upon arrival. Despite the patio being dry and clearly usable, I was told by the hostess that outdoor seating was "too dangerous" and that only takeout was available. It felt like the decision was based more on staff convenience than actual safety concerns. To make things worse, I had to wait outside for over 20 minutes, and the hostess also got the order wrong. The core issue here isn't just about the seating--it's about being misled, the lack of accountability, and poor customer service. I would have made a different choice if I had been told the truth upfront. This kind of inconsistency is unacceptable, especially toward returning customers. We tried to pick someplace centrally located for us and our friends and came here based on a recommendation from my friend's daughter. Located on a busy boulevard, there is only meter and free street parking available. We didn't think we would need a reservation on a Monday night for our party of 6 but good thing we did. There was a little miscommunication among friends so 1/2 our party was late. They asked us if they were on their way because they double booked the reservation. We were finally all present and decided to order several dishes and eat it family style. A few appetizers and dishes, we were happily full. It was all delicious! There is a second floor which is only open on the weekends. Definitely recommend making reservations. Service is friendly and efficient.
