A good korean fusion restaurant. A popular restaurant for dates. The pastas here are good and well cooked. The brussell sprouts are a must have when its available. It is crispy and delicious. Service can be slow because they are constantly understaffed.

Decorated so cute for valentines. It was really his upstairs this time too when we w 4/5 seafood linguini $27- really good, cheesy middle top, has shrimp mussels & squid 4/5 spicy fried chicken sandwich $18 - I didn't try it but my friend said it was really good, looked nice & spicy 3/5 green mango peach tea $3.50 - I didn't taste the mango but pretty good peach flavor

If I could give this place a 20/10 I would. Sweet Sap is a must-visit. The food was great and everything felt fresh. The wings were a standout, hitting that perfect balance of crispy and tender. I visited twice in one weekend (Saturday and Sunday) just because I couldn't get enough. 1000/10 will return

The place is so cute. I was like wait what?! I was greeted quickly. The server was nice. He was alone so the service was slower but also on his phone a bit. Food came out fast & it was delicious but I wasn't asked if I wanted anything else. A group of 4 did make a loud comment of "I really hungry"

Been here a couple times already and the food is great. It's always packed when I'm here so the service is a bit lacking. I do really like their outdoor covered seating section because they have beautiful string lights and earthy decor, but there's no staff downstairs so you have to wait quite a bit to get service if you're seated there. This is an Italian, Korean fusion spot and somehow they're able to get both cuisines right. Their stuffed shells were perfectly cheesy and with a nice tomato sauce. I really enjoyed their burgers and sandwiches. The shrimp burger is delicious and has big chunks of shrimp inside. The spicy chicken sandwich has a huge chunk of breaded chicken and the sandwich itself is too big for one sitting. I think the only miss for me would be the chocolate cake which is overly sweet, but may just be a preference thing.

This place looks like somebody's fancy home. It's decked out with lights in the front, and is definitely a nice place to bring your date. Believe it or not, this was a place I wanted to visit for over 7 years based on customer pictures and reviews. I bookmarked this restaurant 7 years ago, and then had kids, young kids... and wasn't able to visit until recently! It did not disappoint, the food was so flavorful, and the service was fast. The chicken wings is a must, its the perfect crunch moist combo. It very crunchy and crispy on the outside, but so moist and juicy on the inside. I came here on an overdue date with my wife when the kids were at school. As we ate our dishes, I knew that we had to bring our kids here. We eventually did and both of our kids loved all the dishes. My oldest child said she definitely wants her birthday at Sweet Sap in a few months. Truffle fries, Brussels sprouts, and chicken wings are a must for appetizers. Will be coming back very soon.

The birthday tour continues as we recount our lunch with our bestie Laurens. I never went here before and when I suggested it since I was going to be in Flushing, Laurens jumped to show me what The Sweet Sap had in store. We were able to pick where we wanted to sit as it wasn't too busy. There seemed to be few staff but they managed very well regardless. I honestly wasn't sure what to expect. I knew we were getting Korean fusion dishes, but I'm not gonna lie, I was skeptical when I saw how cute the place was. Our food came out and proved me wrong. The stand out dish were the cheesy rice cakes. The bulgogi kale flatbread was a close second. I feel like it may have needed more sauce. What a great spot, in a solid location in Flushing, where I was able to find decent street parking. I'll be back for sure.

This place was pretty decent a lot of sticky food. If you're into that for the most part, we liked everything a couple dishes were subpar. Not sure if I'll come back here. The service was great. The ambience was pretty cool. They have some outdoor areas where you could also sit.

The food here is disappointing. My coworker ordered the katsu over rice, but it didn't taste fresh at all--it was stale and tough to chew. The chicken wings were tiny, especially compared to other Korean spots nearby. On the plus side, the restaurant has nice decor with fresh flowers out front, and service is quick. However, the staff wasn't very attentive--we had to flag them down to order, and they didn't note my request for less rice. Prices are on the higher side for a local place, and unfortunately, the quality doesn't match.

I'll start by saying this place has its perks and downsides. It's a cute place, with large covered outdoor seating, and up a large set of stairs, an indoor setting. They do have a nice variety on the menu, including salads, sandwiches, pasta and some Korean dishes. My grilled chicken sandwich was delicious, with fresh mozzarella and balsamic, with crispy, thin fries. My aunt had the chicken katsu curry, but she wasn't really impressed, it's described as a rice bowl, but more so just a plate with some rice, chicken cutlet and curry sauce poured on top. The service kind of brings it down, I don't think one person smiled, and anytime I asked for something, it was like pulling teeth. My water glass sat empty as well, never a refill. I've been here once before and had a much better experience, but this one let me down a bit.

Had a lunch date with Hubby here. First time dining here. The decor is so beautiful. The owners put a lot of time and money into it. There were three different locations to choose from to eat in. We chose the space that was to the left at the bottom of the steps. We checked out all three and felt that was the best with the nicest decor. Our waiter was super nice and extremely helpful. The food was great and the portions were good. We will definitely retirn in the future.

We came here for a late midday meal at 3PM. The entrance to this establishment was very vibrant and had a lot of plant aesthetics which delivers a nature-like soothing experience. As we got inside, we were seated with no wait time as there were not many customers at that time. The food was great. I really liked the roasted vegetable flatbread because the crust was crunchy, while the vegetables and tomato sauce on top balances out the whole flat bread which creates a light, sweet and savory thin pizza experience. The buffalo strips were pretty spicy if you don't eat spice regularly, but it was good as a small plate. The crunchy bulgogi quesadilla was delicious, flavorful and a bit spicy according to my partner. My partner likes to drink whiskey occasionally. He decided to try a sweet whiskey cocktail at The Sweet Sap and he enjoyed it. We couldn't forget about a sweet dessert after a savory meal, so we ordered a cheesecake. The presentation of the cheesecake took us by surprise because it was absolutely beautiful to the eyes. By the look of it, you can tell they made it with time and care. The male host was helpful and attentive. After the spicy dishes, our mouth was left with a bit of spicy taste. We were wondering if there were anything that can help neutralize the taste of our mouths before our sweet dessert. We asked the host if there was anything that can help. He offered us a glass of milk without any of charge and we were very grateful. Overall we had a great experience and enjoyed our time here.

It was three oysters, similar to Crown Shy except I wasn't a huge fan of the flavoring here. The nigiri sauce didn't really elevate the flavor of the oysters much as they're already a slightly salty food and a soy sauce sort of just added more salt to it. I think a bit more kick was needed to enhance the flavor profile. The handroll set was pretty good, I liked the spicy tuna the best, then the salmon and then the yellowtail the least. In order, I'd probably give the spicy tuna a 9/10, salmon 8/10 and yellowtail 7/10. However, the tiramisu was fantastic, one of the best tiramisus I have had, creamy, good notes of coffee flavor and wasn't overly sweet. Our server was also very friendly, she showed us how to properly eat the handrolls which was nice. The place also has a nice vibe to it, very relaxing and not too loud or overly grand.
