I brought my family here for Mother's Day, expecting a nice celebration, but left disappointed. For the high prices they charge, the portion sizes are incredibly small--definitely not worth the money. Furthermore, I asked for a Thai iced tea with no ice, and the waitress brought me a cup that was only half full, which felt very petty. For a special occasion, this level of service and value was unacceptable.

Third time at Gasa Long. The restaurant was quite busy for a Friday evening in Great Neck. The servers gave us ideas for a few new dishes to try. Photos attached. The duck curry was delicious with just the right amount of spice. The egg noodles with braised Wagyu and curry broth was unique and flavorful. My goal is to try everything on the menu at least once...

Staff have real Irish accents, which honestly adds to the whole experience without feeling forced. Definitely wanted the Irish Breakfast and the place made an exception because our server asked the cook if they can and they did!! It's a welcoming and cozy place especially on a rainy day! The menu stated they only serve this on the weekends but today was Columbus Day and since the crowd didn't start coming until a bit later I was able to get the Irish Breakfast I was craving! It was the best I ever had with huge pieces of black and white pudding! They don't serve them this size at a diner that is for sure! My husband was going to order the bangers and mash but they ran out of them so he got the Shepard's Pie which he said was tasty, filling and hit the spot. He had two Guinesses on tap and that was good as well. They also have unsweetened iced tea here which I ordered and enjoyed. Excellent service our server was on her own and did a phenomenal job even as the Pub got busier.

We started with an espresso martini, which was excellent--smooth, well-balanced, and a great way to kick off the meal. My husband and I each took a few sips before I remembered to snap a photo--always a good sign. For appetizers, the wasabi rock shrimp and spicy tuna crispy rice were both standouts--fresh, flavorful, and nicely executed with great texture. We also ordered the 10 piece nigiri flight, which was consistently impressive. The fish tasted fresh across the board, with the uni being a highlight--rich, creamy, and exceptionally fresh. The shrimp tempura roll was delicious--crispy and well-balanced. The only dish that didn't quite land for us was the ebi hamachi futomaki. It wasn't bad, just not a favorite for my husband--I only remembered to take a photo when we were nearly finished. From the kitchen, we shared the black cod and sea bass--both outstanding. Tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked--definite highlights of the meal. For dessert, we shared the peach cobbler, which was a great finish. Warm peaches with hints of bourbon and cinnamon, paired with Japanese vanilla ice cream--comforting and well-balanced. Service was warm throughout, and the quality of the food was evident in nearly every dish. While it leans toward the higher end in price, the overall experience fell just shy of a full five stars--but was nevertheless very enjoyable.

Jokes aside (half joking), this is an awesome local Inn with a ton of history. It's family-owned and in business since the 70's.. how cool is that?! Their Marco Polo bar is quite nifty too. It gives major speakeasy vibes and offers a great happy hour Tues to Thurs. The bartender was telling me about their BFF Night Package and staycation packages too. I think you get a deal on the hotel room plus welcome drinks and some apps. I'm not an expert on the deets so be sure to ask about them if curious. The place is quite spacious upon walking in - a bar area when you walk in, a larger dining area as you walk further in past the stairs, another bar and dining area upstairs, a private room upstairs, and an outdoor patio. For entree, I got the burger which was perfectly cooked but did not have any seasoning so be sure to add some sauce of your liking. It did come with fries that were beautifully fried and seasoned. For dessert, I got the cookie sampler which came with 2 of 5 different cookies - chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, sugar, sesame, and chocolate. The cookies were fresh and they came out warm and soft. My favorites in this order are oatmeal raisin, chocolate chip, and chocolate. Everyone else got the cheesecake with whip cream or chocolate cake with Ice-Cream. The cake slices were pretty big and heavy. Very nice ambiance and our server was attentive/helpful! Will definitely be back to the more things on the menu.

The restaurant, Gatsby's Landing, draws its name from the romantic nostalgia of The Great Gatsby. Situated near the Long Island Sound and Roslyn Pond, the setting offered a beautiful waterfront ambiance. My wife opted for the Baby Roasted Beets Salad, Salmon, and Crème Brûlée, while I chose the Lobster Bisque, Squid Ink Tonnarelli, and Tiramisu. The menu highlights their commitment to fresh, organic, and locally sourced ingredients - a promise they certainly delivered on. The dishes were both delicious and generously portioned. It was clear the kitchen doesn't skimp on quality; for instance, the lobster bisque was loaded with tender lobster meat, the squid ink tonnarelli featured an abundance of blue crab, and the salmon was a substantial, thick-cut fillet. The chef clearly possesses a mastery of technique, knowing exactly how to pair garnishes and balance flavors in perfect harmony. Furthermore, the waitstaff was both diligent and courteous. We can see why this establishment is so popular--the combination of exceptional cuisine, attentive service, and the serene lake views is hard to beat. However, there is one area for improvement: the restaurant should consider replacing their current chipped plates with larger, more elegant dinnerware. High-quality presentation would better reflect the dignity and caliber of the food they serve.
