Good food, very friendly staff. The flavors were spicy but not too overpowering. I really enjoyed my meal here. This is my second time eating here but I finally got a chance to review it. Will definitely be going back again.

Great place for an affordable meal. Portion size was good. Shrimp was fresh. Fried rice was a little spicy. And the Thai ice coffee really hit the spot. Service was fast and staff was very friendly.

I scoped this spot out in yelp before coming to eat here and I'm actually shocked by the low rating. So I'm here to boost it for the great experience I had Service: very friendly and attentive server. The food came out relatively quickly too. Food: really delicious and great lunch special. App+entree for $10!!!!! Loved the crispy garlic duck (not part of lunch special). The vibe: nothing special just very standard but not ugly neither. Good for a quick dinner/lunch

    Pad Thai Noodle Lunch Special

This one on Bell Blvd is def my Favorite Thai local spot! It is cute and has a warm ambience, staff is always friendly, and of course, food is good. This place is also more affordable and has better food than other popular Thai places in the area. I recommend giving it a try! Lunch specials are always a hit for me. Happy hour Drink offerings are great too (drinks only, not food for Happy Hour)

Best Thai lunch specials, great prices and their portions are abundant! I ordered the shrimp red curry lunch special ($10) with crispy rolls and veggie pad Thai ($8) with crispy rolls for 2. Great flavors and fresh quality. Couldn't finish everything!

My family and I came here on a Saturday night and were seated immediately! It was pretty empty when we went, so service was fast and the waitstaff was friendly. It was quiet to talk too, but food was pretty average. I'd say they definitely are stronger in their curry dishes compared to everything else. We ordered: 1. Appetizer 1: Roti Canai - smaller than expected; it seemed like they were from a frozen bag, to be honest. BUT the peanut curry sauce that came with it was tasty, more heavy on the curry flavor than peanut butter, but we enjoyed it! 2. Appetizer 2: Chicken Satay - also smaller than expected with just 4 mini skewers. However, the chicken was juicy and yummy, and came with the same peanut curry sauce. Both appetizers were $8. 3. Entree 1: Pad Kee Mow (Drunken Noodles) with chicken - This was my favorite dish; the flat noodles were soft and chewy and flavorful. It had a great kick to it, so beware of spice! The chicken was a bit dry, but we ate it with our leftover peanut curry sauce and it was good. 4. Entree 2: Panang Curry with pork - The curry had super strong lemongrass flavor and coconut, but I like lemongrass so it was great to me. There was also a good mix of vegetables to meat, though the pork was too chewy for me. 5. Entree 3: Sweet and Sour Fish - you get to choose whether you want red snapper, tilapia, or salmon; we chose red snapper. The fish was super crispy and tender. However, this fish was a bit of a letdown because the toppings were too chunky and didn't exactly match the flavor of the sauce. Also, one of the toppings, pineapple chunks, were not fresh and definitely canned. The sweet and sour sauce was also a bit too runny and more on the sour end than sweet.

( https://www.instagram.com/p/DQF8Gzekcks/ ). It is a shame because, besides myself, I know a few people that aren't in the neighborhood that travel regularly to G&L. Also its surprising because every time I go the place is pretty packed and occasionally there is a wait. What's also a shame, for me, is that on my recent visit my friend ordered the Steamed Seafood in Lemongrass and this is perhaps the top, or one of the top dishes on the menu. The seafood flavors and balances the slightly spicy lemongrass broth making this a crave worthy bowl. I ordered something out of my wheelhouse - the Coconut Spicy Lemongrass Soup, which on online order menu states its a popular dish. I couldn't see why this dish is so popular because I find other items on the menu superior. They make a tasty pho (especially when paired with a marrow bone). Their sandwiches are well made - I enjoy the different fish ones. I think their Vietnamese coffee could use some work - it is blander than other versions I had tried. Don't be too sad and maybe feel a little optimistic because owner Petra Rickman has a great track record opening interesting, in demand restaurants (This one and Taco Azul have been longtime go-tos in Whitestone). Additionally G&L has a 2nd location with the same menu in Manhattan, which unfortunately for a Queens boy like myself is a bridge too far and a congestion pricing too high for me to make the trek.

I've been back multiple times and it never disappoints. First, the sheer scope of the menu is impressive -- Korean, Japanese, and Chinese all done well under one roof. For the indecisive eater, this place is a dream. Our table ordered the gamjatang (pork bone stew), rose tteokbokki, and shrimp tempura, and every single dish was a hit. The rose tteokbokki in particular -- creamy, perfectly spiced, not too heavy -- is something I still think about. The gamjatang had incredible depth of flavor, the kind that tastes like it's been simmering all day. The portions are generous and the prices are surprisingly reasonable for the quality you're getting. The combo sets are especially great value if you're coming with a group. The space itself is large and modern, with a comfortable, lively atmosphere that works just as well for a family dinner as it does for a night out with friends. Service was attentive and the side dishes kept coming -- always a good sign at a Korean restaurant. And yes, the tea is wonderful. They also have their own parking lot, which in Flushing is practically a luxury in itself. Whether you're a regular in the neighborhood or making a special trip out to Queens, Tang is absolutely worth it. This place feels like a hidden gem you almost want to keep secret... but it's just too good not to share. What makes Pho Metro stand out right away is how authentic it feels. You can tell this is truly a labor of love. One guy runs the show and somehow manages to do it all, from cooking to serving, and the care he puts into the food absolutely shows in every single bite. It has that comforting, homemade quality that makes you feel like you've stepped into a small family kitchen rather than just another restaurant. The food itself is outstanding. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, from the herbs to the broth. I highly recommend the thin noodles with the spicy lemongrass broth (you can request this if it's not listed). It's bursting with flavor, slightly tangy, perfectly spicy, and deeply savory in a way that warms you from the inside out. Every spoonful feels like a cozy blanket on a cold day. The summer rolls are another must-order. They're fresh, light, and packed with flavor, and the peanut sauce that comes with them is absolutely delicious. It's rich, savory, and addictive enough that you'll find yourself scraping the cup to get every last drop. Another detail I really appreciated is how everything you need is right at your fingertips. All the sauces are readily available at the table, so you can customize your bowl exactly how you like it without having to ask or wait. It makes the whole experience feel easy, comfortable, and welcoming. And don't skip the Thai iced tea. It's perfectly sweet, creamy, and refreshing, especially alongside the bold flavors of the pho. It's the kind of drink that makes you slow down and enjoy the moment. Overall, this place delivers on flavor, authenticity, and heart. It's rare to find a spot where you can truly taste the effort and pride in every dish, but Pho Metro does exactly that. I will absolutely be returning again and again. If you're in the area, make the stop. You won't be disappointed.

We did have to drive back to pick up the order, but customer service was excellent. We tried the beef noodle soup ($22), salt and pepper chicken ($22), Taiwanese pork chops ($22), sauté string beans ($22), 3 cup chicken ($22). The beef noodle soup was fantastic. Broth was savory, and portion size for the noodles and beef was enough for 2 people. The beef was thick, tender, and delicious. I did wish the noodles clung onto the soup more, but I just took a sip of soup between bites and was still satisfied. I thought the sauté string beans, and 3 cup chicken were fine. I could taste the wok hay. I wish the salt and pepper chicken had more salt and pepper flavor. We weren't a fan of the pork chops though. Overall, we would definitely come again for the beef noodle soup. We were informed that there is an additional 3% added on if you pay with card.
