One of my favorite spots for Greek food! It's usually busy so I recommend making a reservation because the food is delicious! The service is always really great and prompt, and the restaurant just has a nice vibe overall. I was here recently for dinner with friends and was not disappointed. We had the Octopus (so amazing!), Lamb Chops (I can't get enough of these!!!), and the Chicken Kebab, which was MASSIVE! My friend took it home because she could not finish it. We also had the Estrella and Spanish pie, which were both really tasty. One of the great things about this spot is the portion size - and that goes for EVERY dish. You'll leave stuffed and probably with leftovers. If you're in the area and craving Greek food, I recommend this spot!

Kyclades did it again!! Always consistent, always good! Mr Adrian has to get credit, always there for his business. Service is top notch! Food is always good. No disappointments whatsoever. It has been a while couldn't come here, i need my seafood more often.

Pros: - quickly seated despite it being pretty busy - food came out pretty quickly - enjoyed my seafood pasta, very oily but it was good Cons: - service was very subpar - food was quite bland and super oily - they had two bathrooms, both were clogged Comments: - went on a Sunday around 4PM, quite busy - first time at a Greek restaurant - nothing in particular stood out to me but there also really isn't much to say about the place - not sure what the dessert was but it tasted like sugared flakes with sugar dressing/sauce. Not a fan.

I got chicken with lemon potatoes, my friend got steak--both were great. Nice place, good for families or dates. A bit pricey but worth it.

What a gem! My in-laws love it and go regularly, so when I was in town they took me there. Best Greek food I've had in a long time. Ingredients are so fresh, service very solid and decisive. The restaurant is full of energy and the servers are friendly and knowledgeable. I had a huge Salmon Steak! Can't wait to go back! Food: A Service: B+ Ambiance: A+

We had a nice family dinner here. The complimentary bread and dessert were my faves. My swordfish tasted a bit off so I wouldn't recommend it. The young hostess was rather cold and unwelcoming. Our server however was very friendly and patient. It was packed on a Saturday night so try to arrive early or be prepared to wait a bit.

I love me some big portions of delicious Greek/Mediterranean food. Taverna has it all for great affordable prices and amazing home style service. Think dinner party at your grandma's house type of service. Everyone is always checking in to see if the food is good, if they can get us anything else, and the staff just exude a really welcoming vibe all around. We started with a complimentary bread basket and the assortment of dips served with bread. The spicy feta and tzatziki were my favorites of the bunch, but our group of four devoured all the dips nonetheless. We all agreed that we could just order bread and dips and call it a meal because of how good their bread and dips were. But onto the main course, we enjoyed the chicken kebab and the kyclades seafood special which are both enormous portions. These two entrees alone could feed four people and somehow we managed to finish all our food. The entrees also came with sides and we chose the roasted beets and lemon roasted potatoes. Taste wise, the chicken kebab had a nice grilled flavor and went great with the side of tzatziki. The seafood special was well seasoned but could do with a bit more salt. This wasn't an issue because there was salt on the table so we could adjust to how we liked. Texture wise, certain parts of the chicken became chewy as it cooled down but the texture of all the seafood was perfect. For sides, we all really enjoyed the lemon roasted potatoes over the beets even though the beets were decent. And the meal gets better because on top of the complimentary bread basket, they also serve complimentary dessert! Each of us got a slice of what looked like baklava. The nutty and honey washed phyllo dough was a great end to our meal. If you haven't made your way to Bayside, now is your chance because a lot of great food is there. Taverna is proof of that.

    Kyclades special for 2

We came here on a Friday around 3:30 and caught their lunch menu. The restaurant was pretty empty with maybe 4 other small parties (it's a big place) and we were all sat towards the front of the restaurant. While we looked at the menu, they gave us bread with an olive spread that was very yummy! We ordered a half carafe of their house white wine. It was very light, refreshing and generous in portion. We also ordered the grilled squid lunch special which was very generous in portion as well. It was tasty, well seasoned but a little dry. The lunch special came with a side so we picked the fries which were great. They were a mix of fries/chips and super tasty. We also got the kyclades special which serves 2. It had fish, lobster tail, scallops, shrimp, stuffed clams and came with 2 sides. The special was good and had great flavor but it felt like the seafood is not as fresh as it can be but not to the point where it's super noticeable. For the sides we got the beets which were good, and lemon potatoes which were also good but both nothing special. At the end they gave us free baklava (no nuts) for dessert which was a nice touch. Our server was very nice and attentive along with all the other wait staff. Overall a solid 4/5.

I recently came here on Wednesday caught the lunch special. I was so disappointed. I use to come here a lot years ago. Quality of food has decline. No love and effort was put into it , the potatoes were dry and tasteless as you can see they burnt my potato. I don't think my food was made fresh the calamari was room temperature the battered on the them was soggy I ask them to make them hot . They brought back out the same batch and refried them to the point where they were not edible . They were rubbery and hard to chew . The waiters swap out the second waiter didn't speak English and didn't understand my complaint. The scallops were hot but had no flavor . Just a waste of money. It's safe to say I will no longer be returning to this restaurant or recommending. Just horrible and disappointing.

We came for the lunch specials and had a good time. Customer service was pretty good, I loved the decor even though the seating was a little tight. We ordered the following, scores out of 10: Bread: 7.5 good, I liked the spread Grilled octopus: 10 absolute must try Grilled calamari: 8 Branzini: 10 extremely flavorful. Not one bone missed. Beats: 7 not sure what is missing, decent. Seafood pasta: 10 fresh seafood, every thing cooked perfectly, full sauce. I absolutely recommend. Potatoes: 10 very simple and good My lady said that some items are not worth the dinner price, so coming for the lunch special is the best idea. Get here.

harsh review from me because i got food poisoning after eating here. my main gripe is that the restaurant boasts seafood but their land entrees are way better. i'm assuming some of their seafood is not the freshest... their branzino was kind of mushy and tasteless, which leads me to believe it had been frozen for some time. i noticed far too late that our table was missing what i think was olive oil? i saw others using it to douse their fish but i didn't have the opportunity. the grilled octopus was the only seafood dish i didn't regret ordering.

Came here last minute to celebrate a birthday. I always see the other location advertised but this one was more convenient. The good was nice, tasted fresh. The server seemed to be either tired or just not in the best mood. But the other staff were very kind. The ambiance was pleasant; we went on a very calm Tuesday night. I'm wondering if the other location is a different experience. Oh, the seafood pasta - LOADED with seafood.

1/17/25. Opted for the grilled clams ($17.95), grilled calamari ($19.95), langoustinos ($49.95) as well as the lemon potatoes and tzatziki sauce. The calamari was amazing, so tender with the tastiest char. Langoustinos and the potatoes were good also. The clams were fresh but didn't have much flavor, and the tzatziki sauce was bland/not much garlic so I wouldn't order them again. The bartenders Julie and Angel were very attentive. Cosmos were good, not strong. The Greek white blend wine/Biblia Chora ($65) that was suggested did not disappoint. The complimentary dessert, Greek custard, was delish. Not too sweet.

There's a lovely rustic, yet high end vibe. It's also immaculate. Our server was fantastic...just the right balance of friendly, attentive and helpful. It was hard to choose appetizers because I actually wanted one of each. There aren't a lot of Mediterranean choices near where I live currently so my eyes were definitely WAY bigger than my stomach. That said, we shared the halloumi and three different dips served with warm pita. Then we added a last minute choice of grilled sweet sausage for my stepdad. Before we even received our appetizers, they brought a lovely pile of warm pita with delicious sides to accompany: olives, white bean spread, and red pepper hummus (I believe... whatever it was, it was delicious!). The appetizers were outstanding and it was really hard to pick a favorite. Each one of the dips was delightful: taramasalata, hummus, and eggplant. I tasted a bite of the sausage and I understood why my stepdad enjoyed it so much (perfectly cooked and just the right amount of seasoning). The appetizers were new to my mom and she truly enjoyed everything. Her main course was crabcakes and she raved about those as well. I chose the Souvlaki with a side of grilled vegetables and it was exactly what I wanted with perfectly spiced and not overcooked cubes of chicken. The other grilled chicken dish got a huge thumbs up...and that's from a super picky eater. We topped everything off by sharing a large piece of cake that was very decadent....and even though I love chocolate,.... no way I could've finished it by myself. It had an Oreo crust and the rest was a rich chocolate mousse. Next time? Baklava. Looking forward to going back to visit the fam and enjoying Maria's again. Maybe they can open up a location near Saratoga? Just saying...

It was mostly cucumbers, and the feta cheese had a really strange flavor. I'm not sure what brand they use, but I've never tasted feta like that before, and not in a good way. He was feeling like Greek food, and suggested Mythos based off the positive experiences he's had here in the past. This sounded great, so off we went. Mythos is a pretty spacious restaurant - the dining room is very open with tables scattered throughout the space. The chairs are kinda big and I would argue that it was a little cumbersome navigating the tables but overall not too bad. The kitchen is semi-open with a display case separating it from the dining room that looks like it holds food to be prepared. Their menu is pretty extensive without being overwhelming - all of the Greek staples were there. We were started with their house-made bread that came with black-eyed peas and some hummus. This was delicious, so much that we ordered dips as an app to complement the bread more mmm. We also started with the halloumi and a slice of spanakopita. The halloumi had a somewhat unique preparation - I'm used to a single slab that's maybe complemented with a sauce that I would need to slice. Instead, these were pre-sliced and placed on top of pita complemented with tomato and cucumber. This was delicious, all the flavors and textures worked well together. The spanakopita was really tasty - it was a healthy slice that we were able to share and again, super flavorful. For my main, I went with the garides mikrolimano which were shrimp prepared in a red wine-ish sauce, some feta, and served over rice. This was delicious - the sauce had layers of flavor and served as a great vehicle to unite the shrimp and the rice. Service was fine - we were taken care of promptly and food came out at a good pace. It was a little impersonal but I kind of expected that - I wouldn't go into this restaurant thinking you'll be getting an experience when it comes to the service - just straight to the point. Overall though, I thought the food at Mythos was excellent and I had a great experience. I would hesitate to return for another meal.
