My son recommended this place and the food is pretty good. It's a very tiny restaurant with limited space. The restaurant is quite busy but the service is still good and staffs are very friendly.

Tried Ju Bang Jang and was pretty disappointed. The gopchang jjigae had sand in it, which means the intestines weren't cleaned well lol. Definitely not what you want in this dish. The haemul pajeon and dolsot were okay, but nothing special. With so many good spots in Flushing, this one just didn't stand out for me.

The food was pretty good especially the fried dumplings. Nice place for a quick lunch. The place was small but fully seated. It would be nice if they had an additional waiter. One person picking up calls, serving and taking order was too much. So the service was not good only because it was too busy. Orders got mixed up and took a while to get the check and to just get a bowl for the soup.

A hidden gem of a Korean restaurant. I love supporting local businesses and this restaurant not only gave mom and pop feels, but also was definitely very authentic. There's a few spaces for parking directly in front and only a few tables inside, fairly small. When I came for dinner, there weren't many others here so we were seated immediately. The staff was friendly and service was great! We ordered a few dishes off their mains which have a variety of rice dishes, soups, noodles and more. After putting in our order, we were given a variety of banchans which most Korean restaurants don't really have these days, other than kimchi. All of the banchan tasted homemade and were delicious, and they refilled it for us too! We got a seafood pancake to share which was crispy so it was the perfect texture but the only fillings were green onions and squid. I got the samgyetang, aka ginseng chicken soup, and it tasted suuper hearty. It's usually filled with sticky rice and chestnuts which ended up coming out of the chicken after cutting it and was delicious, but could've used more rice, maybe even a side of rice to accompany it. The chicken was a little tough and didn't have much meat but I loved the soup which you know is full of collagen. I also tried my friend's spicy pork over rice, a classic with thinly sliced pork. The jjampong rice was served with a huge portion of the jjampong soup. It was spicy in the best way and filled with so much seafood. The cold noodles were also delicious but could've used some more broth. Definitely a restaurant that I would come back for!

We stopped in for dinner and the food was good, filling and a good price. The service was also very good.

Tried this place for the first time and got it as take out. I ordered the haemul soondubu and yukaejang. Both very tasty and flavorful. Will definitely go back and have it in restaurant next time. Meal was great and eating in will probably taste even better! Additionally service was quick and pleasant. Highly recommend!

We've been back several times and this has quickly become a new favorite. Not sure if the management changed, but the older not-so-friendly woman is no longer around, and instead - a new sweet lady is always there now, front and center. She seems to be the owner, and is very welcoming and attentive. The service and food have all shot up for the better and they've definitely grown their business because it's always pretty busy now. Their prices have gone up a bit - I don't think due to popularity, rather - because America and inflation - sigh. Everything we've had here, has been consistent across multiple visits!

Our foodie grown up kids wanted to try this restaurant that specialize in Korean street food. Don't know what to expect, photos were misleading and I thought this place only had outside tent dining area, was greatful for the small restaurant with limited seating, approximately 20-26 seats. Very homey with locals eat here felling. We plan on returning to try more on their menu. We recommend this restaurant - especially the soysause marinated raw crabs, so sweet and tangy!

After reading some great reviews I decided to walk over and try this place out. I do pass by it almost every day on the bus after work but I never knew the name of the place because it is only in Korean. But once I found this place on yelp I looked at the location and the photo of the outside and was able to figure it out. I have to admit I was always intrigued by it but the timing just never worked out. WOW, am I glad I decided to check this spot out! Walked in at around 3:30-4pm and the place was empty but I was there for takeout on this given day. Found out lunch special ends at 3pm which is good to know for future visits. This place is no frills just very straight to the point and feels like one of those restaurants where you're bound to get good food. I ended up ordering the Haemul Sundubu(seafood tofu stew) and the Jeyuk Deopbap(stir-fried pork w/rice) which came out to $34 and change, which I thought was decent in comparison to other places. One of the ladies asked me if I would like some Kimchi to go which I felt was really thoughtful because I've heard that the ban chan is usually something only really offered when you dine in at a restaurant. Food only took about 10 minutes, I paid and left them a tip because they were super nice and this place already seemed like a gem. When I got home I dove into the Sundubu and the flavors were great with an abundance of tofu. The only thing I have to point out in an otherwise fantastic dish is that there wasn't much seafood in the soup. Not a complaint at all, because the soup was delicious and I would certainly order it again, but it is something I felt the need to point out for future customers so you know what to expect. Next thing I tasted was the kimchi and my goodness it was so fresh and crunchy! Absolutely delicious Kimchi. The stir-fried pork with rice was awesome as well : tasty with a kick but not overly spicy at all. Great balance between pork and onions. Overall this place is a gem. I most certainly will be returning and may make this my go-to whenever I'm not in the mood to cook at home.

Stir fried pork and ride was amazing.

Amazing service with a quaint family restaurant feeling. Food was incredible and came out fast. I'd go back in a heartbeat next time I'm in the area.

Great tasting cold noodles / food. Seemed like authentic traditional vibes. Every single person eating inside was Korean , and had that feel of a hole in the wall in Korea. The food tasted just like I imagined it would be. High quality and not too heavy on the stomach. I ordered pick up and didn't eat fresh inside but it still tasted great. If I ate inside probably would have tasted way better in my opinion.

The restaurant is medium sized, lots of booths, and was decorated for Valentine's Day. They take reservations and were pretty busy. Service was good, although a little slow at the beginning. I tried the following dishes: Cauliflower Manchurian (3/5): This dish was pretty good, but not amazing. I did enjoy it. Garlic Chili Noodles (3.5/5): Pretty good noodles, not very spicy but good flavor and consistency. Hakka Chili Chicken (4/5): I liked this chicken, but my dining partner did not. The chicken was boneless dark meat, which I really like. You can get it with no, light, or full gravy. We did full and had it with rice. I did enjoy this dish. Overall, I had a pretty good experience at HAKA. No dishes were real standouts, but they were all decent. It is not a bad option for Indo-Chinese in the area.

We ordered shrimp with then and they came with fried/tempura shrimp, which we found odd. There was also egg on the dish but it did nothing for the noodles. We ordered the noodles regular so they should have had some sauce but there was none. The chicken dishes were both really good. The chicken wasn't overly fried or breaded. It tasted fresh and had a good bite to it. I like the spicy garlic chicken a bit more because of the spice. The haka chicken was more of a sweet and salty flavor. Both were tasty. If I'm in the area I'll come back here.

Our server was great and tried to accommodate as best as he could. We were very disappointed with the food. I was bummed they were out of the oxtail eggrolls. The items we ordered lacked flavor and just didn't hit. We ordered the chicken satay, the peanut sauce was a bit too thick and in our opinion didn't compliment the chicken and the chicken tasted pretty greasy. I ordered the shrimp dumplings and really enjoyed those. I also ordered the sea bass. It was a bit bland and the rice that was served on the side was hard. My cousin enjoyed the spice kung pao chicken. For drinks, we ordered the sidecar and lychee martini. I thought my drink was pretty good. I went to this moderately fancy, pretty popular Pan-Asian spot with one of my groups a while back,…read morewhere, as usual, we split a lot of main dishes. They are a sister restaurant to the even fancier Chinese Tuxedo, with a menu that leans primarily towards ASEAN/Southeast Asian countries. The place was slightly loud and somewhat dim for photos, but thankfully, we were in a separate room, so the noise was muffled. The food was overall pretty good, though I prefer some other spots. This is especially given the price point, but it is nice to have solid representations of food from many different countries. To drink, I remember not being in the mood for a cocktail, so I went for the $14 Fiery Forge with Pathfinder hemp spirit, Lyre's Italian orange, pineapple, five spice, and pomelo soda. It had mild spices and a lot of citrus, and it was decent. The first dish that arrived happened to be the best, the $38 Crispy Lamb Ribs with a Cambodian sweet & sour sauce. The ribs were crispy on the outside while remaining very tender inside, with the fat properly cooked as well. I was also happy that they weren't overly sweet either. This was very tasty and one of our easy favorites. The Roasted Duck Breast for $32 with Chinese celery, Thai basil, dragon eye fruit, and plum dressing was also solid. The duck was cooked nicely, being tender with a mildly fatty texture, and the dressing was thankfully not overly sweet. I do wish there was a bit more dragon eye fruit/longan, but it was solid. Also tasty, but the most expensive, was the 'Crying Tiger' Grilled Sirloin Steak for $46 with aromatic herbs, spicy tamarind dressing, and toasted rice. I have had this dish, also known as Suea rong hai, in many Isan/northeastern Thai spots, and this was solid. The steak was cooked nicely, and the dressing had a mild kick, with some roasted chilis for those who want a bit more heat. My only complaint is that I wish this were also served, as per usual, with sticky rice, as it's already a pricey version of this dish, and even cheaper places serve this traditional accompaniment. The Newton Circus Sambal Stingray, for $28, with roasted skate and sambal belachan, was alright. It was comparable to most Malaysian and Singaporean spots serving this dish, though I preferred a slightly stronger sambal at some spots, and the fish was cooked better at others. The portion size was also daintier, although at least we didn't have to deal with the fish bones. For a better version at a reasonable price, I highly recommend Wok Wok nearby, on Mott Street near Confucius Square. Last and least was the Singaporean Chili Crab Fried Rice for $28 with hand-picked Jonah crab and lobster oil. This is famous here, and I don't really see it. I liked the fried rice's seasoning and crunch. However, the sweet chili sauce overpowered whatever little crab there was. For a similar price, I would recommend the nearby Phoenix Palace, which had more crab flavor and was more balanced. The food overall was good. If this were in another neighborhood, I would probably recommend it more, but there are other spots for ASEAN food that are a bit more reasonably priced and of better quality. It's still good, though, and certainly better than many other Pan-Asian places. This would be another 3.5, but that doesn't exist, so I'll round up.

But with that said, my girl wanted some Indo Chinese.... so we made the trip here to see whether it's worth a second visit. Now, to be clear: the Rose is a Pan Asian Cuisine. So it's not necessarily just Indo Chinese, but it also encompasses flavors from all the other countries too. We ended up ordering 3 items in the following order: 1a: Gobi Manchurian 1b: Smoked Vegetable Sizzler 2: Mushroom Sautéed in Ginger Garlic We ordered the first two together and those arrived relatively quickly. The Gobi Manchurian was the better of the two, but I wonder if it was a bit too overpowered with spice and less of the sweet and sour taste (or even the soy sauce). The spice was a bit too overbearing. The sizzler was fine, but it was mostly onions and peppers. The tofu - while cooked fine - surprised me because it was like the silky ma po tofu (which coincidentally is what they serve here). In other words, the same tofu is repeated across multiple meals. I think the tofu needed to be pan fried at least for a sizzler. Because of the above, we didn't feel full and thought that the mushroom would provide a different taste pallet. Unfortunately, that was a miss as the mushroom had the same taste as the gobi manchurian, when it should've been infused with the ginger garlic. Additionally, the mushroom was way too overcooked so you couldn't even taste them either. It was like a crunchy mushroom. No good. To make things worse, the waiter, who also manned the front desk, seemed a bit too aloof at times. Often that meant not refilling water unless prompted and not providing the check on time or not even setting up the tables properly with silverware. It was a bit disappointing. This place has the potential, especially with the cute decor. But failed execution with the food and some lackluster service do not make this a place I'd recommend in the future.
