Great delicious Korean authentic food and we took our Mom here for Mother's Day and we ordered the combo special for four people. It was a lot of food very delicious very authentic and we really enjoyed it. The waiters were very friendly greeted us and the owner even came out to speak to us. Grey price very delicious cuisine and will definitely come back!

Great place for some gamjatang, ordered their combo which comes with LA galbi. Portions are big and so don't over order.

My husband and I decided to come here for lunch today, and it was such a lovely surprise. We ordered the pork & potato stew and potato pancake combo, and everything was delicious! The staff were all so friendly and they made us feel at home. We would love to come back again!

Service was superb! Ladies working there were so attentive and kind! Food was amazing! A lot of different of combinations you can pick from, makes it so easy when you go and order what you want. Restaurant is very roomy with comfortable seating! Will def come back to try other items on the menu!

Came in for Sunday dinner with my parents and were promptly seated. This place is known for their pork bone soup, which was perfect in the cold weather. The waitresses were super nice and helped us figure out what to order. We ended up getting Dried Cabbage Gamja Tang with Haemul Pajun (seafood pancake) as a combo for two people. First came the side dishes, which were pretty tasty. 5-10 minutes later, the main dishes came out with purple rice and a serving of steamed egg. They cut up and served the pancake and then scooped bowls of soup for each of us. Everything tasted delicious! This soup was a little spicy, I'd say somewhat mild, but it was too much for my Mom, who's more sensitive to spice. Dad and I enjoyed the mild heat! The soup came with the pork bones - could have been more tender, the meat didn't fall off the bone so you had work at it a little bit. Otherwise, everything was great! I'm also glad we ordered the soup for two people. We ended up with leftovers so the portions are pretty generous. Recommend checking out!

Pork stew and tofu pork kimchi stirfry

Warm, cozy, and large platters of korean comfort food. Perfect on a cold winter night. Ordered a giant pork bone stew for 3 plus 2 sides orders (pork kimchi stir fry, and potato pancake) and it was more than enough to feed a table of 5. Homey vibes with staff that serve and cater to you attentively. + points as they give us aprons to borrow to protect our clothes from splatter! Kind souls who know that while I wear light grey, light grey is not impervious to spicy korean stew soup stains. Not once did we feel rushed and the food was great! Will be back again!

Please get the gamjatang and bossam set! The soup is so warm and comforting, while the meat is fall off the bone tender. The bossam with makeunji kimchi (old kimchi - so it's super sour) is my favorite dish! The bossam is perfectly cooked, where the meat is tender but has just enough of a chew, and it pairs perfectly with kimchi and scallion for the best bite! Every table gets an assortment of banchan (so tarte! so good!) and steamed eggs. My friend and I got the bossam set for two and it was enough food for a third person! I took left overs home and it was even better reheated. The auntie was super helpful and nice. She helped cut and serve the gamjatang. Perfect place to bring your family and friends, especially as NYC enters the colder months.

Ordered udon add on for $5 and the udon was rotten. Smelled rancid and could tell it was not fresh..

Dried Vegetable Gamja Tang

Geo Si Gi will forever be the go to spot for Gamja tang. Incredibly generous portions, delicious banchan, and the absolute best service! We ordered the dried vegetable gamja tang for 2 ($40.95) and gamja jeon (potato pancake) and we had plenty of leftovers. We decided on the dried vegetable version based on their recommendation, and I really liked the additional veggies. It's also only $2 more than the original! The gamja jeon was really crispy on the outside and soft & chewy on the inside. Banchan is generous (with steamed egg too!) and super yummy. The service here is absolutely unmatched - the ladies who work here are the sweetest and make you feel like you're at home. My boyfriend and I aren't big eaters, and they were worried we didn't enjoy the food. They checked in on us frequently (but not in an overbearing way), and I really appreciated it! Ambiance is home-y & casual.

Came here on a weekend with a few friends and ordered these dishes. The restaurant itself isn't that big but it has a nice homey vibe. It wasn't too crowded since we went for lunch but started to get busier around 4pm for the dinner rush. The staff was super kind and the food was really good. Generous portions as well so my friends and I had plenty of each dish to share. Definitely would come back here again if I'm in the area. There's also a bunch of dessert options nearby if you're looking for something sweet after. 10/10 recommend!

Got the full gamgja experience here. Service was quick and efficient, with one lady being especially kind and willing to learn other languages to communicate with the non Korean patrons. Our Gamjatang and Gamjajeon for 2 ($53.95) was Pork Loin Casserole with Potato Pancake. I wasn't sure what each sauce was for, so it was nice a worker pointed it out to us. They also personally give you your first pancake and pour all of the stew for you. I never had to lay a finger on that casserole pot! It was my first time having Potato Pancake. It's probably my least favorite of the potato, kimchi, seafood pancakes, as it was a bit bland and more chewy that I would like, but the sauce surely helps. I can see the casserole warming anyone up on a cold chilly day. In addition to the pork, it came with a bunch of other veggies, so it was packed with flavor! It was also such a filling portion we had to take some home. The meal was pricey but for the portions, it makes sense. For the friendly comforting service, I'd recommend here for a gamjatang fix.

Back bone pork soup

On our way into NY city, we wanted to get some Korean soup. OMG! Such a great decision to stop by. Each of us ordered a different soup and ate all of it! To the bottom of the bowl. What more to say.? Each soup had a great soup base. So tasty. I will definitely come back. I LOVED my soup! Can't say enough about how delicious it was. Hit the spot for sure.

This is a must go to place on a cold day. It warms up your whole body and your soul I forgot what I ordered but I know that it's the second thing in the menu. It adds pickled cabbage which adds its own depth of flavor as well The soup is spicy, porky, and endless. This portion was for 4 people and we couldn't even finish. The pork bones were so fun to eat through and the pieces of meat that were on there were so tender and full of porky goodness. There were potatoes as well swimming in the broth. I think the next time I come with 4 people, I'll order the 3 person portion because it really is a lot The seafood pancake I'll pass on. It was okay, nothing special Service was excellent as well!

They start you off with barley tea and water, and we also got the jeju mandarin fizz which was 5/5 delicious - not sweet at all, fizzy, with a nice iced sorbet situation going on at the top. Here's what we ordered - Lava rock cheese tteokgalbi (5/5): so delicious and not heavy at all if you're worried about that. It was surprisingly not oily, the meat was plump and juicy, and there was just the right amount of cheese. The dipping sauce was also surprisingly light and complemented the dish well - Collagen gomtang (5/5): wow this soup was so flavorful and had so much depth. The meat was so tender too - Gukbap (4/5): I loved the veggies and glass noodles in this one, but the soup itself was on the salty side, a bit salty for me Unlimited banchan refills and the kimchi was some of the best I had!

I'll be back for that. What I ordered: - Collagen gomtang (Korean beef bone soup): Very good! The beef ribs were extremely tender. The broth was clean, clear, slightly oily, and overall very comforting. Must try! - Oxtail & short ribs jjim: Generous portion size. We went with the soy garlic glaze, which was decent but the flavor profile was very mild. I would have preferred more sauce for a richer taste. The meat itself was very tender. The banchan is unlimited, which we loved. The black fungus and spicy cucumber was my favorite. Servers were friendly and attentive throughout. Overall, a solid experience. I would recommend it and plan to return. :)

This place is a little of a hidden gem and not quite like other Korean restaurants. But no gatekeeping here! We also came at a weird lunch time around 2pm so it wasn't really busy and we were seated right away. Once you enter, you'd quickly notice the very detailed beautifully hand painted murals on the walls and an abundance of painted butterflies. The attention to detail is impeccable! The menu is also very cute and I'm guessing handmade. It was pretty detailed and we appreciated learning about each dish before deciding what to order. We ended up ordering the Kimchi Pancake with seafood, the spicy bulkoki udon and the jeyuk udon. The kimchi seafood pancake was super crispy and filled with squid and shrimp! It also came with a semi sweet dipping sauce that paired nicely. Both udons came out piping hot and fresh! Udon had a nice chew to it, was loaded with vegetables as well as meat for each dish. The egg was fried and did not have a runny yolk. For sides, they gave us 4 things- a tomato salad, kimchi cucumbers, braised string beans, and bean sprouts. The tomato salad came in this cute apple shaped dish but neither of us really cared for it- this is completely biased though since we're not really fans of tomato. What we really did love was the kimchi cucumbers! Also at the end, they served us 3 pieces of cantaloupe which were very sweet. Overall, yummy food, cute shop, and friendly/nice staff! I'd come back to try their other food options in the future!

I was at this very tasty KBBQ place a while back with one of my usual groups. The inside is casual,…read moreand our waitress, Jane, was extremely friendly and helpful from refilling banchan to cooking meats and otherwise. A couple of us shared a $13 bottle of the green grape flavor of Chum Churum, a soju. In terms of banchan, there was a bunch. Everyone got a cold and refreshing cabbage soup as well as a very tasty version of Braised Tofu/Dubu-jorim/두부조림. Once we ordered, we also got a bunch of other banchan, including cabbage, radish, and cucumber Kimchi, broccoli and cauliflower Namul, Marinated Mushrooms/Beoseot Bokkeum/버섯볶음, Anchovies With Peanuts/Myeolchi Bokkeum/멸치볶음, and Potato/Gamja Salad/감자샐러드. One of the other things brought out was a pretty tasty version of Raw Soy Sauce Marinated Crab/Ganjang-Gejang/간장게장. Most of these were refillable. The first actual thing that arrived was something that I can't eat, the $22.99 Seafood Pancake/Haemul Pajeon/해물파전. I have a cephalopod allergy, or in other words, anything with tentacles, so I avoid squid and octopus, and seafood pancakes always contain one of those two. Everyone else enjoyed it, though. The pajeon I could eat was the Kimchi Jeon/김치전 for a dollar less. It was pretty tasty, though I prefer other spots that had a bit more of a crisp. Next was one of their signatures, the grilled duck. Going from online reviews, we went with the non-spicy version, as people prefer it, as the spicier marinade overpowers the duck. This was the $29.99 Sang Ori Gui/생오리구이. The sliced duck was on a hot, sizzling plate, with there also being a lot of grilled onions and scallions. The duck had a mix of pieces, ranging from fatty to less so, and had a nice mix of textures. This was easily one of my favorites, though I liked it even more when paired with the ssamjang that arrived with the BBQ, as the sauce balanced the light fattiness. Arriving at a similar time was the last thing I couldn't eat, the Spicy Stir-Fried Baby Octopus on Iron Plate/Jjukkumi Cheolpan Bokkeu/철판쭈꾸비볶음, for $30.99. I couldn't try the octopus, but the portion was plentiful, and I had a bit of the noodles on the bottom after making sure there were no tentacles, as well as trying the sauce. The sauce was tasty, spicy, and very flavorful. We went with two of the Korean BBQ meats, one beef and one pork. My preference of the two was surprisingly the $49.99 Charcoal Grilled Marinated Beef Ribs/Yangnyeom Galbi/양념갈비. This also came with two veggies: kabocha squash and asparagus. The beef was extremely tender, had the perfect mix of fat and meat, and had only a light sweetness from the marinade. This was absolutely delicious and very much worth the price point. Also tasty was the Grilled Pork Belly/Samgyeopsal/삼겹살, for $36.95. This also came with a few things, including cabbage and a large mushroom. The pork belly was delicious, being just fatty enough and very tender as well, with a mild chew. The BBQ came with a few extra side dishes. This included a tasty steamed egg/Gyeran-jjim/계란찜, greens, an onion salad, ssamjang, salt, and a small boiling pot of soybean stew/doenjang jjigae. They were all tasty, though nothing particularly notable outside of the portions being generous. Also, at the end of the meal, they gave us some sujeonggwa. Not much for me to complain about this place. The food was very tasty overall, and the service was wonderful. I would go back and order a full beef BBQ set.
