My husband and I went to Seoul Tofu for dinner because I was craving something warm and comforting on a cold day, and soon, tofu really hit the spot. One thing I appreciated right away was that they have a parking lot in the back, which made it super convenient since we didn't have to search for street parking. It looked like there might've been an entrance from the lot, but we couldn't find it, so we walked around to the front. There was plenty of seating when we arrived, though it started to fill up as we were finishing our meal. I ordered the plain beef soon tofu, and my husband got the dumpling tofu ramen. I thought it was interesting that the rice is cooked individually and served in a metal container, which I hadn't seen before. The side dishes were good, and while my tofu soup tasted a little different from the ones I usually get, it was a nice change and still really enjoyable. Service, however, wasn't the best. It seemed like only two people were working, a mom cooking and her son serving. Because of that, it was hard to get their attention when we needed things like water or utensils, and we didn't actually get water until after our food arrived. Overall, the food was comforting and satisfying, but the slow service did affect the experience a bit.

Nice clean spot if you want some quick Korean. The lady serving us was really sweet. I appreciated the Korean food not being too sweet like some places make them

SEOUL TOFU is a solid option if you're craving some good old-fashioned Korean food. This replaced Witch Topokki but they didn't change much other than their food menu. You can still see traces of the old restaurant on the table and on their silverware. Seafood Pancake 10/10 - So crispy! I like pancakes that are crispy all around the edges and contain a lot of seafood. Grilled Yellow Croaker 8/10 - Good value but a tad too salty. Kimchi Beef Soon Tofu 9/10

3.0 stars for Seoul Tofu for overall as the service was somewhat attentive and the food was okay. The menu is fast casual or they offer bowls/stews that are good for sharing. My family and I came by to try it as we liked the previous restaurant that was here. There's still a parking lot at that's a plus in this hood. The menu has enough protein options to satisfy even the picky eaters. The most memorable items were the seafood pancake and their ban chan. I'm guessing I didn't order the best stuff flavor wise but the cooking was also hit or miss. The rolled omelet was tasty as well as the steamed dumplings. But we had a miss with the grilled chicken. It was not advertised as spicy but indeed it was and terribly dry. The meat was thin cut pieces and served on a hot grill pan. But not tender and definitely packed heat which if I had known, I wouldn't have ordered it for my family. We also ordered the galbi tang and for the price, we got two large bones. The issue with this dish, the meat was tough in most parts. Too chewy. It was sitting in bone broth so I expected more tender meat but it was not the case. The extra ingredients in the bowl were good at least, some cellophane noodles and strips of egg. I noticed many other guests ordered bowls of noodles or stews. That might be the better bet. We did order fish cakes on a stick and tried the purple rice. Surprisingly, the white rice came with some peas. At any rate, it's a casual dining spot. I will not plan on returning.

Was craving some Korean tofu soup so decided to check this place out since there is no BCD Tofu around. There is free parking for customers in their small lot, which is a huge plus in Flushing where street parking is non existent. The restaurant is spacious and pretty cozy. We ordered the intestines soondubu and the kimchi with beef soondubu. The kimchi tofu soup was okay but not as good as BCD flavor. The intestines soup was so good though -- loved the flavor. The menu says tripe but it's intestines -- FYI. The banchan here was ehh, felt lacking in taste and variety. Overall, it was a good meal but I had to take a star off because the service was pretty lacking here. Waitress seemed a bit standoff-ish and not attentive enough -- maybe even a bit rude.

Came here at 6pm on a Sunday for a late lunch/early dinner. The place was near empty during this time. Service was on the slower side and we had to request water a few times before getting to drink. There were many combinations available on the menu. However, spice levels were not stated, and the options would default to spicy or no spice by request. The default spice level was not too spicy - only slightly higher than mild. Food itself was definitely delicious.

Spacious restaurant with friendly service. The ramen and tofu soup are pretty OK. But unfortunately there's only one level of spicy, which is not spicy at all to me. The stir fry squid is unfortunately pretty tough to chew. Overall it's an OK experience but I probably won't be a regular patron.

This place is right on the main stripe of northern blvd and not too far from the heart of flushing. Bonus that it has a parking lot. I really enjoyed the different stews this place had to offer and really enjoyed the banchan too. I had to order the steam egg and it was fluffy and flavorful with sesame oil and broth. The rice was a nice surprise though I wish I had opted to try the purple rice instead of white. I didn't realize the rice was cooked in Individual pressure cookers. I would def come back to try some more dishes. It was very affordable and the service was good.

They have a parking lot! Friendly service and yummy food. I really like the spicy pork - it's more on the sweet side with a peppery taste. The galbi tang is a new menu item and it was very flavorful with 2 large beef ribs. I liked the steamed egg as well. Everything was well made and delicious - will be back to try more items!

Been to Seoul tofu for the sixth times already. We always get their chicken ginseng soup, chicken is not dry. Banchan has 6 different varieties of veggie and fish cake. Parking in the back is a bonus.

Love the purple rice here! The soondubu were good, the seafood pancake was a little thick for my liking but very filling! The service was really nice and they checked on us a few times. The restaurant felt like I was in Korea, it was pretty quiet on a Weds night tho! Definitely will come back!

Neat clean restaurant. Service was prompt. Menu had a lot of options. I enjoyed the food and calm atmosphere. It's a new restaurant. I'll be back to try other options.

This is prob my go to place for tofu soup from now on in flushing! BCD closed a while back and rumor has it they are trying to open a new location but until that day comes, this will be my go to. The seafood pancake is huge and has many toppings, and the tofu soup is flavorful and plentiful as well. I would def come back to try the other types of tofu soup but this time I got the seafood / beef tofu soup. Service was great and there were many seats. I hope this place does well so I can keep coming back!

We ordered waffle fries and asked for ketchup. When the bill arrived, we were shocked to see a **$2 charge for the ketchup**. At no point were we informed that there would be an extra charge. Not only was the lack of transparency frustrating, but this is also the **first restaurant in my adult life** that has charged for ketchup with an order of fries. It's not about the $2--it's about the principle. Charging for a basic condiment without letting customers know beforehand feels petty and leaves a bad impression. We genuinely liked this place, but this experience has made us rethink whether we'll be coming back.

What a neighborhood GEM!! Kuku Korean was fantastic! Fresh, tasty food at reasonable prices!…read more We (6 of us) were in the neighborhood for a Valentine's Day celebration and searched Yelp for a good ethnic restaurant in the area. We came across Kuku Korean and said YESSS, this is the place to go! The only wrench in our plans was that Kuku Korean doesn't take reservations; not even on Valentine's Day! They warned us that they expected to be very busy that evening, and to expect a wait. Ok, we made plans to go, but also made a Resy with another restaurant close by, as a backup plan in case there was a long wait for a table. But really, Kuku Korean was our preferred first choice. After our V Day event, we rushed over to Kuku Korean to see what the wait time was for a table for 6. It was just after 6pm, and the stars were aligned for us, because we got the last large table available! Woo Hoooo! Happy Valentine's Day to us!! We quickly cancelled our Resy with the other restaurant (sorry!) and perused Kuku Korean's fabulous menu. Our MENU (shared by 6ppl): ~ Seafood Pajeon ($24/large): Crispy battered pancake made with green onions & seafood (mussels, clams, squid, and shrimp). This was phenomenal! So much seafood and such a comforting dish...get this! ~ Veg Japche ($21): Stir-fried Korean vermicelli with Kuku soy-garlic Japchae sauce and assorted veggies. This dish was also available with various proteins but we opted for Veg since we were ordering other meat dishes. This dish was so flavorful and delicious. ~ Kuku Bibimbap ($24): Seasoned vegetables over rice, topped with a fried egg. Served with Kuku spicy bibim sauce. Again, you have the option of adding protein to this dish but we kept it veg. Another great dish! ~ Pork Galbi ($28): Char-grilled Pork ribs marinated in Kuku sauce, served with sauteed onions. Served with kimachi, daily banchan & purple rice. The pork was cut in thick slices, which was surprising, but wow, this was phenomenal! So tasty and lean, and just delicious. ~ Beef Bulgogi ($33): Sauteed thinly sliced beef rib-eye marinated in Kuku sauce with mushroom, Served with kimachi, daily banchan & purple rice. Another phenomenal dish. Bursting with flavor. -- Spicy Squid ($28): Stir-fried squid in spicy Kuku gochujang sauce, onions, hot pepper and carrot. Served with kimachi, daily banchan & purple rice. This squid was prepared perfectly; not over cooked nor rubbery! Great dish. - Ban Chan: generous unlimited servings; fresh & delicious. These 6 dishes, plus Ban Chan was perfect for 6 ppl to share. We finished everything and were fully satisfied. Every single dish was delicious and we ALL said we wanted to return to Kuku Korean to repeat some dishes and try new dishes. Customer service and atmosphere were great. The busser staff did an amazing job and were even more attentive than our server (who we only saw twice)...kudos to the bussers! They were so hard working, with a smiling, friendly attitude! Give them a raise! Looking forward to a return visit to Kuku Korean...hopefully SOON!!

They are consistently coming around to check on us and give us any refills whether on the kimchi or our waters. They are also really fast and wait time was minimal for both our table and the food. Hearing the 'ding' is always really nice. The actual food itself truly tastes like home. Everything is so comforting and you can never get sick of food like this. The portions are also huge so bring an empty stomach or a big group. We always manage to have leftovers whenever we come here. I absolutely love the pajuns, and always find myself gravitating towards the seafood pancakes, and they do not skimp out on the seafood either. The mandus are extremely filling, and the meat inside is nice and juicy. The noodles itself are honestly so refreshing and hits the spot every time. I've heard people debate on whether kalguksu or sujebi was better, but this place makes it hard to decide every time-they're both just so good. There's 2 waitresses and one busser, but I felt only one of the waitress was pulling the weight, while the other (maybe she's the owner?) mostly chatted with one of the table customers. I felt bad for our waitress she was so busy with fulfilling takeouts + dine ins and the dishes require a lot of servicing table side. She couldn't catch 1 second of break :( Food wise, we got their 2 person combo of spicy pork gamja tang and spicy rice cake which came with the steamed egg. Everything was so good, egg was extra fluffy, rice cake was delicious and the meat came right off the bones. They take a good variety of side dishes. My partner wasn't a fan of the gamja tang but due to feeling it's a hassle to eat meat with bones, so those who fee sim may agree. We also asked for the fried rice after we finished the gamja tang, for 2 servings I think it was $4.75 or something. I really enjoyed it but I guess I like scorched rice, also something my partner doesn't enjoy so those we feel sim just note. Environment feels very old school, well worn. Feels cozy. It can get loud very quickly on a Saturday night as this place seems to be a hit for large parties. Since the wait staff is short handed, expect a bit of a wait for things. Instead of the usual red kimchi, they load it with long strips of green napa cabbage, cut right before your eyes before serving. Some bean sprouts, watercress on top, with tender potatoes, chewy rice cakes, and massive pork bones that fall right off - so meaty and flavorful. Served with a side of sweet mustard sauce. Pure comfort on a cold day. The grilled mackerel was enormous and incredibly plump - way bigger than expected! As an oily fish, it's rich and satisfying, but we barely made it through a third. If you're a mackerel fan like me, it's a must-order. . Banchan were simple and homey: nothing flashy, just solid classics. Bonus: it comes with fluffy steamed egg (jjim) that rounds out the meal perfectly. I can eat an entire bowl of rice with just the steamed egg .
