Seafood pancake
Kristina C.

Small family run restaurant on Northern Blvd. Clean and welcoming. I had dinner there on a Saturday evening and there was only one other table eating. It was good for us because we got great service and didn't have to wait for a table. The food was great. Portions were a good size too. We were in the mood for bibimbab and Yuju didn't disappoint. We got the bulgogi hot stone bibimbab, the spicy pork hot stone bibimbab and the seafood pancake. It was flavorful and a lot of food for two people. We want to go back to try their OX bone soup and other menu items. We'll be back.

New restaurant in Flushing. Korean, home style menu items. They just opened 2 weeks ago. Took over from old tofu story location. Had the soondae (Korean sausage) soup, and spicy shredded beef soup. Banchan was basic, soups were tasty. No liquor license yet, it'll be few weeks. Can't byob either.

I have been looking for a go-to seolleongtang place and am so happy I found this place!!! Apparently they've only been open for about a year. The ox bone soup was so flavorful. They were generous with their ban chan as well. The bossam and kimchi pajeon were also delicious! I think this is a family run business. The staff was very attentive. My favorite was definitely the seollongtang but I can't wait to come back and try their other menu items!

I came here randomly as I was just passing by figuring out what to eat. What drew me in was how packed it was for a Monday lunch. The inside is rather small but still enough to tables to seat 9 parties of 4, although it is still a rad cramped. This spot mostly specializes in soup/rice entrees and they also have a pretty decent lunch special menu. What my sister and I noticed instantly was the amount of Jokbal that was ordered. Every patron had a pile of this on their table, so it must be good! Of course, we ordered the Jokbal as well as the mandoo rice cake soup and pork soup. The Jokbal (10/10) was flavorful but not overpowering, so I was able to taste a good balance of the meat and the sauce it was made with. The taste is best described as soy sauce and savory, with a hint of that start anise. Either way, pair a slice of this with kimchi, shrimp paste, garlic, and green onions and its heaven for your taste buds. The pork fast to meat ratio is pretty good, some pieces were fattier, but everything just melts in your mouth so you can barely tell. I was a little bummed thought that they didn't serve it with lettuce to make wraps but it was fine without. Highly recommend anyway!! The mandoo rice cake soup (5/10) was pretty average. I would personally pass on this next time unless you are really craving it. I understand that this meal is meant to be more hearty and less intense in flavor but even the dumplings had no taste. I did heavily salt this and it helped a bit but still not amazing. The pork soup (6/10) was decent! It tasted like the other soup except meatier. Pretty much what I was expecting though. Overall, I would pass on the two soups, but definitely come grab the jokbal if you're ever in the area.

Decided to check this newly opened place to try their pork soup! The atmosphere had a home vibe and sidedish that that they serve taste just like home-prepared taste; not too sweet or salty. The food came out relatively quick and the broth has a clean taste to it. I just wished they had more meat/intestines in the soup but price point ($14.99) is probably the reason they cannot give too much. Anyways, enjoyed the food fully and hope to come back to try other foods!

Totally love this place for those late night cravings!!! Their kimchi pancake was the best! It's the most crispy pancake I've had in any restaurant. The seafood pancake was good but prefer the kimchi one more. Their pork bone soup is also really good. Going to try the Jokbal next time. The service is also really good too.

The staff were incredibly cordial and attentive. They had the initiative to check on us from time to time and refill our water without us having to ask. I also love how generous they are with the sides! My favorite dish here is definitely the Galbi. Every bite took me back to Japan. I know this is Korean cuisine, but the Galbi reminded me so much of the one I've had in Japan, which is probably why I enjoyed it even more. We ordered the group meal with Bimbimao, and we also really loved the chicken wings. I just wish the wings were a little bigger and that the serving was more generous! We also tried their rice wine and Kuku cocktails, and both were delicious. They definitely don't skimp on the drinks! I'll definitely keep coming back. This was already my fourth time bringing a group of friends and family here, and I can see myself doing it again. At this point, I'm hoping they'll consider having a loyalty or discount card for regular customers like me!

We thought the pork galbi was not that good though. They didn't have the usual char to it and they didn't give much fat/lean pieces, just purely lean pieces, so it was a bit dry. But the soondubu and mackerel were amazing! It was perfectly tender and crispy, with the right amount of fat. Paired perfectly with the kimchi. We had a great time and will definitely be back.

As a Google content creator with over 16+ million views, I travel extensively and dedicate my time to rating the absolute best culinary experiences out there. After dining here a number of times, I can say without a fraction of a doubt: Daesung Korean Noodle is an absolute masterpiece of Korean cuisine. While everything they touch is spectacular, their Seafood Pajun (Pancake) is the crown jewel. It is undeniably the best SF Pajun in New York City--completely outclassing the famous spots in Manhattan's Koreatown. Served sizzling hot, it strikes the perfect balance of a beautifully crisp exterior and a richly savory, topping-packed interior. It is a mandatory order every single time I visit. The incredible flavor profile extends across their entire menu: * The Hand-Cut Noodles (Kalguksu): Plump, perfectly chewy fishcake wheat noodles served in a deeply comforting, crystal-clear broth. * The Seasonal Kong-guksu: An elite, refreshing summer treat featuring ultra-smooth, cold black bean soup that is completely authentic. * The Steamed Dumplings (Mandu): Delicately thin skins bursting with a perfectly seasoned, juicy filling. * The Banchan: Even their house-made fresh kimchi and pickled radishes are incredibly crisp, vibrant, and perfectly balanced. What makes this neighborhood staple truly extraordinary is the talent in the kitchen. The kitchen crew is entirely from Guatemala, and their masterful execution of traditional Korean cooking techniques is flawless. They bring immense passion, precision, and soul to every single dish. The ambiance is clean, warm, and inviting, while the floor staff is exceptionally fast, polite, and attentive. I would not hesitate for a second to recommend Daesung to anyone looking for an elite dining experience. This is pure comfort food executed at the highest possible level! Thank you!!

I had to wait for over 25 minutes with a group of 6 on a weekday morning but it was well worth it. After you get seated You get served some sides like most Korean places do. It was kimchi and what seemed like a crispy item. pickled radish?apple?chayote? maybe one of those three. You also get served a grain tea which is one of my favorite types of tea. It was tasty but very mild/light in flavor I came here mainly for the seafood pancake. My friends said they loved it here so I came to check it out and it did not disappoint . The pancake came out sizzling and crispy. I'm usually not too big of a fan of seafood pancakes but everything in this one was great. Not overcooked and the flavors came out great. The flavors worked so well with each other without having a heavy seafoody flavor.

There's 2 waitresses and one busser, but I felt only one of the waitress was pulling the weight, while the other (maybe she's the owner?) mostly chatted with one of the table customers. I felt bad for our waitress she was so busy with fulfilling takeouts + dine ins and the dishes require a lot of servicing table side. She couldn't catch 1 second of break :( Food wise, we got their 2 person combo of spicy pork gamja tang and spicy rice cake which came with the steamed egg. Everything was so good, egg was extra fluffy, rice cake was delicious and the meat came right off the bones. They take a good variety of side dishes. My partner wasn't a fan of the gamja tang but due to feeling it's a hassle to eat meat with bones, so those who fee sim may agree. We also asked for the fried rice after we finished the gamja tang, for 2 servings I think it was $4.75 or something. I really enjoyed it but I guess I like scorched rice, also something my partner doesn't enjoy so those we feel sim just note. Environment feels very old school, well worn. Feels cozy. It can get loud very quickly on a Saturday night as this place seems to be a hit for large parties. Since the wait staff is short handed, expect a bit of a wait for things. Don't come if you're in a rush.
