Food: The food was delicious here! We ordered marinated pork for grilling which comes with banchan (fish cakes, marinated spinach, bean sprouts, kimchi, cucumber, wood ear mushrooms, radish, etc.), lettuce, bean paste, raw onions, peppers, and garlic. The meal also came with steamed egg and a miso-based tofu stew. Both were delicious. The grilled meat was cooked perfectly and very juicy. The grill uses charcoal, rather than gas, which seems rare in restaurants. I enjoyed this meal very much and liked the food here better than many other Korean bbq restaurants in NYC. Service: Service was average. They take staff take your order and cook your meats for you, but after that, they don't come to check in on you. Ambiance: Seating is comfortable and spacious here. It's a good place for both small and large groups. Overall, I would recommend this place!

I've been enjoying their food here for a couple of months. They have a good lunch special, my favorites are spicy pork spicy calamari pork ribs, and kimchi jjigae. I really like their pork ribs BBQ on open fire grill. I think they have four different ladies continuously coming back to cook the BBQ, can't go wrong with that. I love their one corner table in the back love this table with my Bambina so that nobody bothers no one. I always sit on this table. Their Banchon is pretty good. I loved it in the beginning, but I'm kinda getting tired of the same just wish it was a little different sometimes. several times I've been here their bathrooms been clean .

This place was so good, i went back the following week to relive the meal. I got the pork galbi twice, decided to add the seafood pancake the second time. Everything is fresh and delicious, what looks to be an egg soufflé and broccoli with imitation crab meat were especially my favorites. The seafood pancake is a must get. The servers are busy running around making sure your meat is prepared perfectly. The place does get pretty smoky and although it was a chilly night, they had to open the double doors to get fresh air in so pack a sweater. This place will definitely be seeing more of me, its great for large groups too.

yum!! the perfect place for pork ribs (돼지갈비) and they have a great deal that's if you order 2 servings, they give you one for free the food: got the marinated pork which comes with soybean stew and steamed eggs. everything was soooo good and it gets grilled right on top of charcoal, giving it a great smokey flavor the space: it's big but SOOO smokey due to the charcoal so it kind of stings my eyessss the service: kind!

The kalbi bibimbap was good. The short rib was yummy. And vegetables were fresh and well seasoned. But just about every ban Chan, the side dishes, was too spicy. Service was good and food was good but side dishes were too spicy. My friend got squid bibimbap and she thought I had too much sauce. My tastebuds were happy but my stomach definitely did not appreciate the spices. And I grew up eating kimchi and spicy food...

    Steamed egg banchan.

I was shocked when I saw the other reviews. I guess the restaurant heeded the reviews complaining about the staff. I have only good things to say about Northern 160. We actually stumbled upon it when we could not get a table at another restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised. The staff was very welcoming and professional. The pork galbi was well marinated, tasty and tender. The banchan was excellent and the staff were pleasant and accommodating when asked for refills. Everything was delicious. I can't wait to return with my family.

Be careful. If you pay for food with a card, additional money will be charged, so be careful. The price of the food on the menu is the price when paying with cash, and if you pay with a credit card, an additional card fee (3% to 4%) is charged, so know this in advance before going out to eat in this Restaurant.

I also appreciate that the music isn't too loud, so we could actually talk and hear each other while dining. Everything feels clean, polished, and inviting. The staff were incredibly cordial and attentive. They had the initiative to check on us from time to time and refill our water without us having to ask. I also love how generous they are with the sides! My favorite dish here is definitely the Galbi. Every bite took me back to Japan. I know this is Korean cuisine, but the Galbi reminded me so much of the one I've had in Japan, which is probably why I enjoyed it even more. We ordered the group meal with Bimbimao, and we also really loved the chicken wings. I just wish the wings were a little bigger and that the serving was more generous! We also tried their rice wine and Kuku cocktails, and both were delicious. They definitely don't skimp on the drinks! I'll definitely keep coming back. This was already my fourth time bringing a group of friends and family here, and I can see myself doing it again. At this point, I'm hoping they'll consider having a loyalty or discount card for regular customers like me!

We ordered waffle fries and asked for ketchup. When the bill arrived, we were shocked to see a **$2 charge for the ketchup**. At no point were we informed that there would be an extra charge. Not only was the lack of transparency frustrating, but this is also the **first restaurant in my adult life** that has charged for ketchup with an order of fries. It's not about the $2--it's about the principle. Charging for a basic condiment without letting customers know beforehand feels petty and leaves a bad impression. We genuinely liked this place, but this experience has made us rethink whether we'll be coming back.

This place is a little of a hidden gem and not quite like other Korean restaurants. But no gatekeeping here! We also came at a weird lunch time around 2pm so it wasn't really busy and we were seated right away. Once you enter, you'd quickly notice the very detailed beautifully hand painted murals on the walls and an abundance of painted butterflies. The attention to detail is impeccable! The menu is also very cute and I'm guessing handmade. It was pretty detailed and we appreciated learning about each dish before deciding what to order. We ended up ordering the Kimchi Pancake with seafood, the spicy bulkoki udon and the jeyuk udon. The kimchi seafood pancake was super crispy and filled with squid and shrimp! It also came with a semi sweet dipping sauce that paired nicely. Both udons came out piping hot and fresh! Udon had a nice chew to it, was loaded with vegetables as well as meat for each dish. The egg was fried and did not have a runny yolk. For sides, they gave us 4 things- a tomato salad, kimchi cucumbers, braised string beans, and bean sprouts. The tomato salad came in this cute apple shaped dish but neither of us really cared for it- this is completely biased though since we're not really fans of tomato. What we really did love was the kimchi cucumbers! Also at the end, they served us 3 pieces of cantaloupe which were very sweet. Overall, yummy food, cute shop, and friendly/nice staff! I'd come back to try their other food options in the future!

The place is cozy and looks well-structured. I also love that every table comes equipped with condiments and utensils you may need, as well as a call button for staff to come around your table. Hearing the 'ding' is always really nice. The actual food itself truly tastes like home. Everything is so comforting and you can never get sick of food like this. The portions are also huge so bring an empty stomach or a big group. We always manage to have leftovers whenever we come here. I absolutely love the pajuns, and always find myself gravitating towards the seafood pancakes, and they do not skimp out on the seafood either. The mandus are extremely filling, and the meat inside is nice and juicy. The noodles itself are honestly so refreshing and hits the spot every time. I've heard people debate on whether kalguksu or sujebi was better, but this place makes it hard to decide every time-they're both just so good. There's 2 waitresses and one busser, but I felt only one of the waitress was pulling the weight, while the other (maybe she's the owner?) mostly chatted with one of the table customers. I felt bad for our waitress she was so busy with fulfilling takeouts + dine ins and the dishes require a lot of servicing table side. She couldn't catch 1 second of break :( Food wise, we got their 2 person combo of spicy pork gamja tang and spicy rice cake which came with the steamed egg. Everything was so good, egg was extra fluffy, rice cake was delicious and the meat came right off the bones. They take a good variety of side dishes. My partner wasn't a fan of the gamja tang but due to feeling it's a hassle to eat meat with bones, so those who fee sim may agree. We also asked for the fried rice after we finished the gamja tang, for 2 servings I think it was $4.75 or something. I really enjoyed it but I guess I like scorched rice, also something my partner doesn't enjoy so those we feel sim just note. Environment feels very old school, well worn. Feels cozy. It can get loud very quickly on a Saturday night as this place seems to be a hit for large parties. Since the wait staff is short handed, expect a bit of a wait for things. Geo Si Gi is highly known for their signature gamjatang (spicy pork bone soup). Ordered the Gamjatang & Grilled Mackerel Set - $52.95 (for 2) The gamjatang is perfectly spiced - bold and warming without overwhelming heat (and trust me, my spice tolerance is low!). Instead of the usual red kimchi, they load it with long strips of green napa cabbage, cut right before your eyes before serving. Some bean sprouts, watercress on top, with tender potatoes, chewy rice cakes, and massive pork bones that fall right off - so meaty and flavorful. Served with a side of sweet mustard sauce. Pure comfort on a cold day. The grilled mackerel was enormous and incredibly plump - way bigger than expected! As an oily fish, it's rich and satisfying, but we barely made it through a third. If you're a mackerel fan like me, it's a must-order. . Banchan were simple and homey: nothing flashy, just solid classics. Bonus: it comes with fluffy steamed egg (jjim) that rounds out the meal perfectly. I can eat an entire bowl of rice with just the steamed egg . This set was massive for two - we left with about 1/4 of the soup and 2/3 of the fish! Pro tip: Save some broth and ask them to make fried rice with it at the end. Game-changer. . Highly recommend for hearty, soul-warming Korean food in Flushing!
