Ordered delivery. The dim sum was delicious loved the shumai it was hefty and juicy, the short rib had a nice pepper seasoning, the tripe was really flavorful in a nice ginger sauce. The curry beef was the best from everything it was tender and the curry was wonderfully delicious and last but not least the wonton noodle soup had a really soothing broth with huge wontons and bok choy. Definitely enjoyed and would order again. Almond milk tea also tasted great.

Queens in general and Flushing in particular have long been destinations for global diversity. Flushing's Chinatown is one of three major Chinese communities in New York's five boroughs and is considered by many to have been eclipsed by its sister in Manhattan in both size and quality. Located off of Prince Street in Flushing, we decided to stop in at this popular late-night (until the wee hours of the morning at 4 am) Hong Kong-style establishment, 39 Prince Cafe (利苑食坊), for an early dinner. Upon entering as first-timers, the well-lit interior evokes a casual welcoming vibe full of warmth. My partner, my cousin, and I got a table in the back. Their extensive menu features Cantonese cuisine with a wide variety of comfort food, dim sum, noodles, congee, fried rice, and sizzling platters. We decided on Wonton Soup (淨雲吞), Beef Chow Fun (乾炒牛河), Yang Chow Fried Rice (揚州炒飯), and Pan Fried Noodle with Seafood (海鮮炒麵). Complimentary hot tea started our meal. The food came out piping hot, deliciously authentic, and fresh in flavor, creating something that is affordable, satisfying, and nostalgic. The portion was healthy. The staff was attentive and efficient. Great for late meals and worth a trip!

Read the reviews and it's either really good or really bad. I had a cold and really wanted a bowl of congee. Thankfully they accepted credit cards since I didn't have any cash on me. The congee came out in a relatively short time along with a box of crullers. 2 fried dough cut up in half and it was a bit on the small side (see picture). The congee was pretty good though it's a bit on the expensive side. It was what I needed so I'm not complaining on telling you the expectation so you aren't caught by surprise.

The food and service is exceptional. I do recommend trying everything on the menu at least once. Have been eating here for many years.

I came in for a quick meal for lunch on Monday at 1PM. The restaurant was quite empty so the service was quick. I ordered the Korean Short Rib with rice. I haven't had short ribs in probably a year, so it was very captivating in taste. The rice and the ribs go really well together and I would recommend to try. I am feeling hungry now as I am thinking about it. Definitely coming back for a quick bite/meal.

the food is very delicious and filling & is quickly served and the servers are there if you need them, it's primarily ipad ordering & it's the heart of queens chinatown and still has a nice roomy restaurant great for a solo lunch, small date or a group meal - i love the rice noodle rolls

The food was not picture worthy. - The image shows an illuminated sign inside a restaurant, featuring Chinese characters and the phrase 'May You Be Prosperous' in English. The sign is mounted on a wall with a textured surface, and nearby are light fixtures and a large window with reflections. The interior includes warm lighting, a brick wall, and ceiling lights, indicating a dining or commercial space with Asian decor elements.

Avoid this place. I ordered a wonton and mein (noodle) dish, but what I got was completely different. The noodles were thin--not what I expected--and they forgot to bring the soup broth. When I asked, they eventually brought out plain hot water with no flavor at all. I didn't mind the wrong noodles until I bit into the so-called wonton. It had a tiny, dried-up shrimp inside. I don't even like shrimp, and that wasn't mentioned anywhere. I also tried one of the dim sum platters, which were just okay--not worth a second visit. I didn't complain at the restaurant, but when I got home, I ended up with a stomach ache. The service was terrible. I had to struggle just to get their attention to bring the broth and soy sauce. They won't even bother to refill your water. Definitely not coming back.

Shrimp Lo Mein Chicken wing Fish Balls with Curry Special Boba - The image shows a white table with two bubble tea drinks, one with a white straw and the other with a green straw, along with a container of shrimp in sauce, a container of fried chicken wings, and a takeout container of noodle stir-fry with shrimp and vegetables. The background features a sliding glass door with a balcony and railing, and a reflection of a person can be seen in the glass.

I ordered pickup from 39 Kings Cafe for a late night bite after arriving in NY and was pleasantly surprised! The shrimp lo mein was delicious and flavorful. The chicken wings were just okay.. tasty but a bit too small. I really enjoyed the curry fishballs, especially the flavorful curry sauce and also addition of potatoes. I also got boba, which was cheap but good with chewy tapioca pearls. This spot is perfect for a late night craving or quick takeout due to its hours. Prices are super reasonable, and the staff are hardworking and polite. Solid place for food

The menu from 39 Prince Cafe displays a variety of dim sum, congee, and house special appetizers. Dim sum options include shrimp dumplings, pork shu mai, and steamed chicken feet. Congee selections feature seafood, frog, and beef congee, along with preserved egg and fish fillet congee. House special appetizers include fried chicken wings, fried chicken nuggets, and gyoza. The menu also lists prices and includes some vegetarian options, with a focus on Hong Kong-style dishes and late-night offerings.

This place used to be a Bakery, now it is a Hong Kong type cafe, they have a menu that is served from 10:00am to 5:30pm. It has dim sum made to ordered, soups, hong kong style dishes, they only make items off the early menu, cannot order off menu items if it's on the late dinner menu.

Comfort food with a Hong Kong flair, always well prepared and served piping hot by an efficient, welcoming staff that clearly aims to please. This is our go-to spot at night when we're craving something delicious and fast.

Roast Duck Special @BBQ Sausage Special - A white plate holds sliced roasted duck with crispy skin, served with pickled vegetables including cabbage and carrots. Behind it, a rectangular dish contains stir-fried meats and vegetables, such as green peppers and slices of meat, on a wooden table. The dishes are part of a Chinese-style meal.

I've been eating here for years and the staff and owner are all friendly and very courteous. Don't get me started on the food. ITS AMAZING. I could come here for a straight week and still be amazed by flavors they use. There's no wait time, and seating is great and comfortable.

Shrimp Dumplings - Four shrimp dumplings are arranged in a bamboo steamer lined with parchment paper, placed on a wooden table. Part of a white plate with green beans and other dishes is visible nearby, suggesting a dim sum dining setting. The background includes a person wearing a black shirt with white text.

Great service and fresh food. This place has a wide variety of different foods to a wide selection of comfort food.

After returning from a trip, I had this as the first meal after landing. This place opens very late, which is nice. The staff members were super friendly. The food tastes great, especially the beef stew, which was not on the menu, I suppose.

Siu mai, shrimp dumplings, cha siu baos, chicken feet - Multiple plastic containers hold different dim sum dishes on a gray table. One container has siu mai, another has shrimp dumplings, and a third contains cha siu baos. The dishes are typical of Hong Kong-style late-night dim sum offerings.

I have so many reasons to believe that Emperor is truly the reincarnation of the restaurant...just a little rusty. I've only come here for dim sum and I'm still surprised it doesn't get even half of the insane volume that nearby dim sum restaurants get, especially with how much closer they are to Roosevelt Ave. I have to say that the dim sum here is slightly better than most locations in the core downtown area, both in presentation and taste. No cart ladies, just a paper and pencil ordering system. The other diners that I usually encounter seem to strike me as locals, which is becoming harder to find these days. Prices are slightly more expensive than the other places, which is probably a factor as to why there aren't as many customers. The other reason is probably the subpar customer service here, which I've encountered on a number of recent visits. There are so many workers here, but none of them seem to have any good grasp of what customer service is. For example, I've had the waiter hover over me as I was gathering cash for my bill and snatched it the moment I placed the money down, also demanding at least 18% (again, for subpar service). Also, if you complain to them about your food, even if you find a hair, they will not do anything about it. The food quality is slightly above most of the dim sum places, but also bear in mind the hit-or-miss service you'll get, which the latter can be super frustrating.

It is a crowded, noisy, and wonderful place. You eat, look for dishes that catch your eye, and then eat some more. You also get to watch all the other diners enjoying food with their family and friends. For dinner, it was always done family style. There are some generally Good (4 stars) places, like Asian Jewels and Emperor Seafood, but most other places are somewhere between OK and Good (between 3 and 4 stars). Royal Queen 君豪大酒楼 is part of that latter group -- there are good things, but there is also mediocrity; and there are customer service issues. The good: - Beef Rice Noodle Rolls: The rice noodle rolls here are generally silky soft. There is supposedly parsley in the beef mince but we noticed little to none in the versions we've had. Royal Queen is generous with the sweetened soy sauce; they pour it from a teapot. - Pan-Fried Leek Dumplings 韭菜煎蝦餃: the shrimp are generally fresh and crisp. - Shrimp Siu Mai with Pork 蝦粒乾蒸燒賣: above average. - The Osmanthus Jelly 杞子桂花糕 has a deeper hue than most other places in Queens. The OK: - Five-Spice Braised Beef Tendon 五香蒸牛筋: pieces are generally little too large and not as consistently soft as other places. - Steamed Leek Dumplings: get the pan-fried version instead. - Stuffed Peppers 煎釀青椒: as with other places, inconsistently cleaned so there can be one or two bites that have an extreme amount of heat. - Shrimp Siu Mai: essentially the same as the ha gow, but in a different wrapper. I think we prefer the shrimp siu mai over the ha gow here. The Could Be Better: - Taro Dumplings (Wu Gok 芋角): lacks ingredients in the filling. - Staffing and Quality Control Issues: Royal Queen has plenty of staff, yet sometimes there aren't enough people working the dim-sum carts. Like many other Chinese restaurants, it seems that staff aren't empowered to address food quality issues. - The restrooms can be pretty good compared to those in other parts of the building. We observed people come into and out of the restaurant seemingly just to use the restrooms. However, there are times when the restrooms could be better maintained.
