Looking for a place to eat before a Mets game? Take a short walk into Flushing and give this place your attention. We had pork dumplings and chicken udon noodles. Superb taste and good portions at a reasonable price. Only glitch was they initially forgot our dumplings.

Service could be much better.... But wow the soup dumplings and noodles here are awesome. We ordered a bunch of food for the 4 of us to share and agreed that the best parts of the meal were the pork buns, pork soup dumplings, truffle soup dumplings, and crab/pork soup dumplings. Special shout out to the chicken udon noodles and veggie rice cake dish. Veggie rice cake dish had a bunch of different types of mushrooms in it - yum!! We also got the hot and sour soup which was tasty, a little too vinegary for us but we liked it. The new osmanthus chicken item was basically sesame chicken but SO small. Only a few pieces each for the 4 of us. Definitely would come back for dumplings though...

Stopped by Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao in Flushing this past weekend and had a much better experience than the first time I came here about 7 years ago. We ordered a mix of their signature dishes: pork soup dumplings ($8.95), crab & pork soup dumplings ($9.95), and black truffle soup dumplings ($12.95). All of them came out piping hot with delicate skins and rich, flavorful broth inside. The pork was classic and satisfying, the crab added a nice sweetness, and the black truffle had a subtle earthy aroma that made it feel a bit more elevated. Definitely the highlight of the meal. For mains, we got the pan fried noodles and beef noodle soup. The noodles had a great crispy texture on the outside while still soft inside, and the flavor was savory without being too heavy. The beef noodle soup was comforting and hearty, with tender beef and a rich broth. What really stood out this time was how efficient everything was. Even on a weekend, the wait was surprisingly quick, and once seated, service was fast and attentive. The space itself has also changed a lot. It's much more modern, clean, and upgraded compared to what I remember years ago. It feels more polished while still keeping that busy, lively vibe. Overall, great food, quick service, and a big improvement from before. I'd definitely come back when I'm in the area and craving soup dumplings.

Made a whole day out of Flushing and Nan Xiang Soup Dumplings was on the list, Michelin Guide recommended for several years so I had to try it. The Osmanthus Honey Chicken was decent but honestly a little overhyped for me. The Crab Meat & Pork Soup Dumplings however were the real star with its delicate skin, rich broth, and every bite just chef's kiss. If you're in Flushing and in the mood for soup dumplings this is the spot.

Nice spot for breakfast. Gets very busy fast, even on a weekday, so service is polite but a bit rushed. They served tea when you arrive. I ordered scallion pancakes, hot soy milk and vegetable soup. The milk was truly delicious, the pancakes were very good. The soup portion is enormous, lots of veggies, noodles and tofu, but the broth is a bit blend (I dressed it with the vinegar and chili sauce). Definetly enough for two people! Ambiance is nice and clean bit definetly has that chain vibe. My bill came to $23, so its definetly a great value.

My new go-to dumpling spot. The pork dumplings are handmade, authentic, and delicious! Service was super quick & attentive.

Came on a cold winter freezing night. Good thing nobody else was brave (silly) enough to venture out. So there was not wait. Been coming for YEARS even before the new location. They are hands down the best soup dumplings in all of NY. They have other items in addition to the soup dumplings. We always stick to our standard order- soup dumplings, scallion pancakes, cucumbers, and the shrimp egg roll. Soooo good.

Space is a lot better than the original location. Also, food seems to be better than the midtown location Pork Soup dumplings 4/5 Crab soup dumplings 4/5 Pan fried pork buns 4/5 Sweet sticky rice roll. Mainly rice. 2/5 Turnip ham puff 4.5/5 Scallion pancake with beef 4/5 Four happiness tofu. Best thing we ate. 4.5/5 Rice cake with shredded pork. Felt like it was more on the al dente side. 3/5

Wow! The food was amazing and I'll be back! The crab meat and pork soup dumplings were magical! A perfect balance with a delicious broth inside. The braised beef was equally as good. Maybe even better because the beef was so tender. The service was good as we were seated right away and the server did not let my tea cup empty. Place was very busy but the server was very attentive. Place was packed and the smell of all the food made me much more hungry than I already was when I entered the door. I truly enjoyed being there!

A very busy place! I would not personally go if it was not for my long time friend visiting me from Oslo. A 45 mins waiting time! Truffle soup dumplings, crab soup dumplings and regular pork soup dumplings were all average. Joe Shanghai is still hold the crown in terms of Shanghainese cuisine. I must give the business owner /the management a big star. She read my review today and replied with a classy humble message. A rare trait.

Came here for lunch on the day of Christmas Eve in a party of 3. A huge crowd of people showed up for lunch around noon. Our wait was thankfully around 10 minutes. Xiao long bao are large and the dough is perfect thickness and texture! This is where I learned I had eaten soup dumplings the wrong way the entire time. You're supposed to bite into the twisted tip, and suck out the soup from the top so that it doesn't spill haha. In addition to xiao long bao, we go: -3 types of noodles: pan fried sea food noodles, and two types of noodle soups. -Beef pancakes -Ube buns stuffed with red bean It definitely felt like I was in a restaurant in Taiwan. The food and vibes felt authentic! Since we spent over $100, there was a spin-the-wheel at the front for a free gift. I spun it and got a scarf. The scarf is very soft and good quality!

Great spot to get your fill of taste of Shanghai. Plenty to choose from, breakfast, cold appetizers, hot appetizers, and of course the soup dumplings. Every dish we ordered coming out is top quality, and carefully put together. A lot of attention is put into both the taste and the look Staff is friendly, speaking both Chinese and English. Very attentive, refilled our tea before we had to ask, and speedy service Interior is quiet nice, a lot of seating inside, sometimes can be packed / a bit of a wait on weekends. Weekday night when I went was busy, but we didn't have to wait to be seated Overall great spot! Definitely worth going

Shrimp and cheese dumplings, a tad undercooked but tasty

Good food, super reasonable service and timing, clean establishment, and prices like you'd expect. Really appreciated the dumpling flight so you can try many different flavors without having an insane amount of leftovers. Disappointed at the number of dumplings that leaked before being touched or broke when handled gently. Losing the soup, especially when it drips onto desert dumplings stacked into trays below, really ruins the experience. They weren't stingy with the ginger or the takeout containers which was a nice surprise.

It's really hard to justify a bad experience like this when there are literal hundreds of flushing vendors that serve the exact same cuisine with better quality control.
