It's a mouthful to say, but I used to know it better as Lamb Noodle Soup, which is what they sold on the top floor of Golden Mall (before New World Mall existed). This stuff is my penicillin. The broth is light and delicious, there are three types of noodles within, most prominently hand pulled wide noodles, and a perfect, consistent flavor that is enhanced by fresh cilantro on top. Consistency is the big takeaway here. I ordered a bowl today and it was exactly the same, and exactly as good, as one ordered years ago. The service is friendly enough, the food court is cleaner now than it used to be, and this place is definitely one you should try. I believe it's booth number 28, although the pictures will help to find it, and it's basically in the back right corner of the place. The dry noodles are algo great, and don't miss out on their hot chili oil (every booth seems to make their own version and this one is solid, a little smoky and not too hot). What the region is known for is their lamb soup and lamb noodles. Well, no doubt they are one of the best there is in all of NYC imho. Few weeks ago, I stopped in for their delicious Lamb Soup w/ Vermicelli & Lamb Innards 羊杂粉丝汤 and it was excellent as usual. Instead of getting the equally yummy Lamb Noodle 羊肉烩面, I ordered the Old Luoyang Beef Soup 老洛阳牛肉汤 instead. This milky broth came with stripes of pancake for dipping. Well, if you like beef soup instead of lamb, then this is for you. I have not tried everything on their menu simply because I can't get past their soup products.
