One of my favorite stalls in the New World Mall food court. The duck offal vermicelli is perfect--the duck blood and other offal taste so good, and the noodles absorb the soup broth well. The wonton soup is also perfect. I personally enjoy it with lots of vinegar added to the soup. Service was nice and fast. I wasn't sure, but I think they charge extra for credit card. Lots of empty tables in the food court at 10 AM on a Saturday, but was filling up by the time we left at 11:30. read more

Came here for lunch for a quick grab and go, cash in hand, and a hungry stomach. I tried the spicy wontons and chive pancake and they both were super yummy and filling. I wish the wontons were spicier, but they had a nice flavor to them. The pancake was stuffed to perfection and crispy. Make sure you get a side of vinegar and soy sauce to add as well. read more

Fresh ingredients, wonderful flavors and great bang for your buck! I got the duck vermicelli and my only regret was I was too full to finish all of it. I got the one with duck blood and innards, it's unpretentious and delicious exactly like what I had in a local restaurant tucked away in an alley in Yangzhou. The duck blood was really fresh - you can tell by its fine texture and clean taste. The tofu squares soaked up the flavor of the broth, and there was plenty of duck meat and innards to eat with the vermicelli. Towards the end the broth was tasting saltier, but it was definitely a memorable experience next to having the real thing in Shanghai. read more

My love affair with Yoz Shanghai is well documented (#1) and while I was delighted to find this food court version, I can't say it's the same animal. However, it is still a quality option in the New World Mall food court (#2), and deserves a hard look for anyone who is in the area and looking for quality noodle soups and solid soup dumplings. Anyone who has spent a lot of time in the NWM food court will see that there aren't many places that specialize in soup dumplings. The mere fact they exist curbs the demand and while the XLB might not look as appetizing as other places, but trust the broth is flavorful and on point. Their duck noodle soups are truly their namesake (鸭粉丝馆). The broth is clear and aromatic; appropriate for both cold and hot weather days and there are just enough chunks of duck meat to keep folks satisfied. The noodle texture is smooth and really completes the experience. Soup dumplings and noodle soups aren't their only tasty ticket items, I also think their scallion oil noodles (蔥油麵), pork and crab wonton noodle soups (蟹粉豬肉餛飩), and their wonderful sesame ball dessert (芝麻湯圓) is a must have. A pro tip for the non-savvy: Their "dim sun" portion of the menu is for snacks and small dishes (小吃) and not Cantonese style dim sum in banquet halls. Don't get it twisted future patron. Lastly, they are cash only and the service is pretty efficient. Ordering by numbers is probably the way to go for the non-Mando speakers and be sure to hold onto the receipt before coming back to the stall to pick up the food. I've been to the original Yoz Shanghai 3 years ago which is right across from the Queens Library inside the Golden Shopping Mall. This newer location is a class above the original one which is more like a night market stalk in Asia. This one is located in the middle of the New World Mall Food Court, a very enticing and mesmerizing place, especially if you're a foodie like me!! Out of the 25-30 eateries in this food court, I can say Yoz Shanghai is definitely one of the better picks. I thought their Duck Noodle Soup is particularly worth trying and offers the best bang for the buck. For $6.50, you get duck meat, deep fried tofu, glass noodles, and some greens with a bowlful of delicious broth. Normally my wife and I would order different dishes and share, but this time, we each got our own because we tried it before and we knew how good it was. It did not disappoint. the 5 stars is for the delicious soup dumplings. i have also had their signature duck noodle soup and i was personally rather underwhelmed by it because it was definitely lacking on the duck meat front imo, and a rather bland broth... but the soup dumplings really are delicious and highly recommended. read more

This is the only place I know of that that sell tangyuan. It's freshly made and takes around 15 min to prepare. This stall's pretty popular, so order by phone if possible. read more

After noticing this was Yoz Shanghai that I've always wanted to try that was located by Golden Mall, I had to come and get some soup dumplings. I've read reviews on Yelp about the other location and it was good. I'm not sure if they moved entirely or have a second location. I got the regular soup dumplings, wontons in hot chili oil and plain noodles with scallion oil. I waited about 10-15 minutes for my order to be ready because they make the soup dumplings fresh. I took these home to eat and it was still hot when I got home. The soup dumplings are so good and at a great price. I like it better than Joe's Shanghai & Nan Xiang because the soup is so flavorful and the skin is thin but not paper thin where it breaks easily. I love how they put the cabbage under it so it doesn't stick to the styrofoam box and to other soup dumplings. The plain noodles with scallion oil was also great but I can't say the same for the wontons in hot chili oil. It of course isn't spicy at all and there's peanut sauce in it. For my peanut allergy yelpers please take note! I'm definitely coming back and ordering other items on the menu. Once you come down the escalator it's on the right side! read more

I had the premium duck noodle soup for $7.50. The broth was mild but quite flavorful, with the richness of stewed duck. The pieces of duck meat were fresh and juicy but a bit on the salty side. Despite being fried, I was still able to enjoy it though I was already pretty full from eating something else in the food court first. It had eggs, chives/leeks and vermicelli noodles. This is a second location of Yoz Shanghai at The World Mall Food Court. The first original location is at Golden Shopping Mall. I usually order my food to go than staying at the food court. Steamed pork buns: 4/5 the xiao long bao is pretty small in comparison to other xiao long bao around Flushing like Joe's Shanghai, Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao. But can't complain since it is 8 pieces for 5$ PRETTY GOOOD STEAL. Don't like the fact that they don't put cabbage underneath of the to go box and sometime the soup can spill out of the bun if you're careless. Steamed pork buns w crabmeat: 3.5/5 I feel like this xiao long bun is lack of flavor compare to the pork only. I personally like the crabmeat flavor somewhere else. Plain noodle w scallion oil: 2.5/5 LACK OF SCALLION OIL. Noodle stick together when I open it up to eat. Portion is generous but I don't recommend ordering this. 3$ cheap Wonton w spicy oil: 2.5/5 VERY SPICY! Has jalapeño and red pepper inside. Has peanut butter sauce inside. Wontons stick together so when you take one to eat the skin from the another wonton would come out. This place seem to be very popular with the duck noodle soup and casserole. Such an unassuming place that really hits the spot though when you're craving simple Chinese food like scallion noodles and wonton. It doesn't seem like much but they're addicting and I'm craving it right now as I write. The scallion noodles are tasty and a big portion for the price.
