    We went on Easter Sunday. There were a few tables occupied. We placed our order and it was done very quickly. We got the Beef wonton noodle soup ( way too fatty ) and an order of the Ja Jiang This is like pork strips in a sweet sauce with veggies on thin noodles with shrimp wontons. We also got some iced tea. The honey lemon was good. The jasmine lime. was super sour and weird. My friend and I agreed that it was okay but nothing we were amazed by.

    Maxi 2 is a lot bigger that 1. They have a lot more tables for dining. Help yourself to tea on one side, Maxi statue sitting in the restaurant..... the same delicious food!!!! Drinks too! You order at the counter and they give you a buzzer to alert you when the foodie pick up from the kitchen. Sit anywhere.

    Nothing beats Maxi's when it comes to authentic Cantonese noodle. So many different toppings and you can choose the number of toppings on a wide variety of noodles they offer. Counter service and find your own seat and clean up. All the noodles and dumpling size is humongous so you definitely get bang for your buck. Overall, the restaurant is very clean and the staff is very pleasant. The only downside is the area could be difficult finding street parking but otherwise this is a must when it comes to Cantonese soup noodle.

    Happy to see Maxi's Noodle has expanded to multiple locations. The quality is consistent with their original Flushing location. This location is a counter style location. Make your order and take a seat at any available space. When your order is ready, make sure to bring your receipt with you! It does not take long for the order to be ready, even when it's packed! I usually opt for a Wonton Noodle Soup. The wonton are huge with a thin, but held together wrapper and lots of protein. The eggs noodles are the perfect texture for this soup. I like that they have a liquids and regular trash, as I don't always drink all the soup. There's also someone wiping down the tables and maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant. I'm happy that she choose this location as it is easier to get to and find parking than Downtown Flushing. I have been here a couple times since they opened! feb 24

    I ordered delivery and was pleasantly surprised by how well it held up. The food arrived still warm, and everything tasted great. I went with the two-topping noodle soup with beef tendon and dumplings in a beef stew sauce, which was rich and flavorful without feeling too heavy. Overall, a really satisfying meal.

    Came to satisfy my craving for a real wonton soup, not the kne one from your local take out. I am talking about home made wontons, stuffed with savory shrimp, the shrimp has a nice al dente bite, home made broth that can remove and liberate you from any illness. If i am sick, this is the soup and noodles that i would want to feel better.

    To go experience. Ordered the wonton noodle. Pretty fast service. Once they realized I didn't speak Chinese, they immediately spoke to me in English. No judgment unlike some other places I've done at. Wish it came with a bit more noodles

    Something hot on a cool day! Went around lunchtime and service was very fast and good. Very tasteful broth, and just the right amount of tender beef with a few pieces of tendon. Wantons were big and full of shrimp! Would go back to try a different dish next time.

    I saw a lot of good ratings for Maxi's Noodles in Flushing so wanted to give it a try at some point. Seems like this location has better seating and parking than the other Flushing location so came on a recent weekend to check it out. The place is small but has a bunch of tables set up, and there's also a self service station for water and tea, which I thought was great. You order at the front and pick up your food, cafeteria style. The food came out very quickly; I barely had sat down when my buzzer rang. I ordered the two topping noodle soup (wontons and dumplings) with egg noodles. Price was $11.75 and came out to $12.79 with tax included for cash payment. Paying with cash would be advisable as I believe it's extra if you use credit card. Upon first glance, the bowl of noodles looked very good. It came out nice and hot, with broth looking tasty and both dumplings and wontons looking very appetizing. The wontons and dumplings seemed pretty similar, except that the wontons were circular in shape while the dumplings were tubular. However, I didn't see much noodles in the bowl and I figured they were buried at the bottom. The wontons and dumplings were both amazing. They were nice and large with super thin skin on both and really juicy and flavorful shrimp filling that explodes when you bite into them. Could easily destroy trays at a time of the wontons / dumplings; think they're some of the best I've had. The egg noodles were indeed buried at the bottom, and they were very satisfying too. Except... there weren't much noodles in the bowl at all. Felt like the noodles were gone after 2-3 bites. The chili oil they had there was really good as well and added a lot of flavor. I can see why this place is hyped. Overall, I enjoyed my meal, but I was disappointed in how little noodles there were in the noodle soup and I almost felt hungrier leaving this establishment than when I came in. $12.79 doesn't seem like a lot but I think my meal was still overpriced for what I got. I would rate 3 stars overall and hope to return at some point in the future.

    A quick, no frills dose of comfort food at a good price. Their wontons and fish balls that came with their egg noodles were huge! Having just come back from HK this definitely hit the spot. Definitely add some of their chili oil for a kick!

    Maxi's had been on my list to try for some time. I was so excited to try it and it didn't disappoint. I had to get take out but I would come back to sit in. I called in made my order without an issue. Every time I pass by they look BUSY. The soup delicious. The wontons are huge. The ja jiang so savory. The chili was a great kick. Overall great food. I personally love the signage and thought it was cute inside. It's a casual spot. Oh I can't forget the honey lemon so refreshing!

    The cleanliest restaurant you will ever find in Chinatown! It truly is spotless. Maxi's serves up amazing fresh food with extremely generous portions. Be prepared to take home at least half. Check out the menu before you go, it's not huge but it's a diy style so takes a minute to think it thru. We both ordered 3 topping soup and loved the flavors. The meat was like butter, so soft. They also sell condiments to go in very cute packaging. Great for gifting or using yourself. The staff is extremely sweet and very helpful with the menu choices. Thumbs up and 100% would go back to try something else.

The other dishes like the lobster, noodles and sweet and sour pork were executed well but just not my flavor profile. And with my food allergy, I couldn't try the shrimp with walnuts but it was my friends' birthday so she ordered that for her treat. It looked great! Unlike the little scrawny flounder that most other restaurants usually served this was a quite large and very meaty and perfectly cooked. The duck egg noodles, beef, and broth rounded out the awesomeness. Can't wait to return with others!

The seafood itself was solid traditional Cantonese fare with fresh lobster tanks, steamed fish, and classic banquet-style dishes. The atmosphere felt colorful authentic Hong Kong banquet hall energy. However, some of their pricing was completely out of whack. Mother's Day premium for sure which is understandable, but some dishes were simply excessively expensive for what was delivered. For example, our two lobsters, while fresh, were missing that smoky "wok hei" flavor that great Cantonese kitchens are known for. It lacked the depth, aroma, and richness one expects from a proper high-heat wok preparation. A few items felt priced more for Guide Michelin luxury dining than a Flushing seafood hall. This said, the service was efficient and professional; changing plates all the time. So a high level of attention above the usual Cantonese restaurant. Overall, decent food in and an authentic Hong Kong style restaurant that targets special family gatherings, but be prepared, both the crowds and the bill can become overwhelming very quickly. No cart ladies, just a paper and pencil ordering system. The other diners that I usually encounter seem to strike me as locals, which is becoming harder to find these days. Prices are slightly more expensive than the other places, which is probably a factor as to why there aren't as many customers. The other reason is probably the subpar customer service here, which I've encountered on a number of recent visits. There are so many workers here, but none of them seem to have any good grasp of what customer service is. For example, I've had the waiter hover over me as I was gathering cash for my bill and snatched it the moment I placed the money down, also demanding at least 18% (again, for subpar service). Also, if you complain to them about your food, even if you find a hair, they will not do anything about it. The food quality is slightly above most of the dim sum places, but also bear in mind the hit-or-miss service you'll get, which the latter can be super frustrating.
