the food is good and service was good too. I highly recommend the curry pork chop rice. The rice is well cooked and the curry sauce was pretty addicting. the pork chop was so tender as well. Pasta was delicious and it had the nice tomato sauce flavor

Dined in after the lunch rush so there weren't many people inside given that it was a weekday. We got seated in one of their booths. I liked that the menu was under the glass table top already so we didn't need to wait for the server to come over with the menus. It was much more expansive compared to what they have listed on their online site (a lot of new items). We ordered the salt and pepper squid, slated duck egg yolk jumbo shrimp fried rice and Japanese style seafood stir fried udon. We were given cups of hot tea (since it's cold out) but you can ask for cold water too. The squid came out first, it was piping hot and light on the crunch. The salt and pepper flavor was a very minimal. The favorite of the table was the fried rice! I really love the additions of the crispy rice and shallots which added a crispy element to the overall dish. The egg floss also made the whole dish much tastier. There were 5 pieces of shrimps coated in salted egg yolk (would've been even tastier if the shrimp heads were left on). This was definitely a must order dish. The udon was also great. The bonito flakes on top really enhanced the overall seafood yakisoba flavor of the dish. There were a few scallops, shrimps, and squid pieces in the dish and they all tasted very fresh. Service was decent but not too frequent as they were probably prepping for the lunch rush. Once we got the check, the server asked if we wanted another cup of tea before we headed out which was a thoughtful touch.

I was in downtown Flushing running errands and wanted to pick up some takeout for dinner. I found street parking in front of Kong Sihk Tong (KST) and decided to try it out. Ambience - decor was bright touristy", pastel colored Hong Kong Cafe vibe. Food - we ordered: Eggplant and minced pork - really flavorful and well seasoned. 4/5 Beef with peppers - tender slices of beef with sliced bell peppers in a black bean spicy sauce. Really flavorful comfort food.

Always such a pleasure to dine here. Food comes out so fast and it always hits the spot. The mango sago and toast is a family favorite! Cash only though!!

I came here with my partner and we had a decent time. We came on a Sunday afternoon and got seated immediately. The server, however, was a little rude. He almost talked to me like I did not know anything (?) but we placed our order and waited about 20 min for the baked dish to come out (which is average time since it is a baked dish). The minced meat baked rice was good, but a bit too salty. The rice was also harder, but the dish was overall alright. The restaurant itself is well decorated though, and we are glad we got to try this location.

I absolutely love this spot! I was looking for a Hong Kong style Cafe and I found this one through Google or Yelp. My favorite thing is definitely the string beans with the shrimp paste. It's a little spicy but it's the perfect flavor. I also really enjoy the pineapple bun with the butter and also of course the Hong Kong milk tea is amazing because it's super caffeinated and the condensed milk makes it really sweet. I love the cafe aesthetic. It's very new and clean with the neon lights.

KST is a classic for Hong Kong style cafe comfort food, otherwise known as cha chan tang. It is known as an OG spot in the Chinatown/Flushing area and always reliable when the craving hits. There are many new cafes popping up with similar menus but this will always be my go to. Menu items that I always go for that I don't think you can ever go wrong with include: HK style milk tea, golden toast, baked pork chop over spaghetti or rice, curry fishballs, beef ho fun and salt & pepper squid. Everything is solid, the ambiance is nice as the flushing location is relatively new compared to the Chinatown location. They are cash or Venmo only, no credit cards accepted. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a bite to eat (but with a hearty appetite as they have quite an extensive menu) in the downtown flushing area! IG: _acquired.taste

This is by far one of the best Hong Kong Cafes in NYC, serving authentic HK and Cantonese dishes. The Flushing location is more spacious than the Manhattan one, but good luck finding parking. Their HK milk tea is a must-order, whether you want it hot or cold. The cheung fun, curried fish balls, black pepper squid, toast, sandwiches, etc are all on point and will not disappoint! One of the staff members also reminds me of the drummer of Beyond . Tell me I am not wrong!

I went here with my friends and had a really delightful meal. Anecdotally, I've been to another cha chaan teng in Manhattan and I personally liked this one better, although it might be what we ordered. I loved the curry fishballs and rice noodle rolls in peanut butter sauce. That and the ovaltine (it's just Ovaltine which I love) are the things I would get again. The salted egg yolk toast or something similar was a skip for me. I also liked the bacon truffle pasta and we got another noodle dish my friends really liked but I forgot what exactly's in it. The vibe is also fun in here.

No signage of being a "Cash Only" establishment.

I've been to KST a few times. The service here always seems to be a miss. However this time it was so bad. The waiter placed the wrong order and did not give us our iced waters. Food took a while to come, and then they gave me baked rice when I asked for baked spaghetti. I asked them to remake it but he insisted I just order spaghetti on the side. Okay fine. The spaghetti was horrible. It was literally just tossed in oil and sauce. It was inedible. Then it took forever to get the check and to pay. He charged me a different price for one of my orders, which was a difference of a dollar more. By the way they're cash only but they don't display any sign. Very non-informative and they don't care to tell customers until they pay. I don't think I'll be coming back.

My go to spot is still good as ever! I usually come here on weekends before 11am so I can order the set menus that come with a drink. I usually get the ice lemon tea and it's about a $1 or so extra for cold drinks. Hits the spot everytime! The wait can be a bit longer on weekends but it's pretty good with wait time and you won't wait for a long time. This is def my fav HK spot in queens! I come here for dinner as well and their beer chow fun is prob the best in flushing.

Hong Kong Style Cafe with an entrance inside the building. It's cash only. I liked how the men's were under the glass on the table so I could always refer back to theme u without having it take up table space. The tea we ordered came free during breakfast. Everything tasted good and the inside was nice.

2 locations. One in the city and one in flushing. Came here with my neighbor who has been to the city location. We ordered a couple of drinks and some shareable bites The Hong Kong style tea was very very strong. Not my palate but if you like strong tea then I would suggest ordering it. We also ordered the honey with kumquat and lime and the lychee with jelly. Both refreshing for a hot day! She suggested getting the rice rolls with the peanut sauce on the side so you can dip it instead of having it drizzled all over which I liked so you can control how much sauce you want The baked fried rice with chicken chop was okay. Sauce is on the sweeter side Fried fish balls were good. The sauce given made it better Service was good. Nothing to complain about. Parking is very tough in the area as is most of downtown flushing.

The real standout was our waiter, who appeared to be juggling seating guests, taking orders, delivering food, and bussing tables simultaneously. Somehow he managed it all efficiently and professionally without missing a step. We ordered two of their signature dishes: the Slippery Eggs with Shrimp over Rice and the Hong Kong French Toast. Both were excellent and easily large enough to share. The eggs were silky and rich, with perfectly cooked shrimp and a savory sauce that paired well with the rice. The Hong Kong French Toast was everything you'd hope for--crispy on the outside, soft inside, indulgent, and topped with ice cream. Definitely not a dish for anyone counting calories, but absolutely worth it. The Bear Iced Tea is admittedly a bit of a gimmick, but I'm a sucker for that sort of thing. Watching the bear-shaped ice slowly melt into the drink added a fun touch to the meal. What impressed me most was how efficiently the kitchen operated. Even with a full dining room and constant turnover, the food came out surprisingly quickly and looked exactly like the photos.

When we asked whether they had clay pot dishes, she twice told us to "look at the menu" with an attitude instead of helping us. The service throughout the meal was poor. Our children's plates were taken away in the beginning and we were not even given enough utensils. Staff members were also talking behind us in Cantonese, which made the experience very uncomfortable. The biggest issue was the bill. The restaurant added a "charge" that appeared to be an included tip or service charge, but nobody informed us about it. Since it was not clearly explained and they still asked for an additional tip, we unknowingly tipped twice. Only after getting home did we realize the total did not add up. They even charged us for take out box. When I returned to ask about it, the manager/owner was extremely rude and unprofessional. Instead of apologizing for the confusion, she questioned us, blamed us, and repeatedly motioned for me to stay quiet. She even wanted to check the camera to verify how much tip we left. At no point did anyone apologize for the misunderstanding or the poor customer service. I also felt that families with children were treated differently and unwelcome there. Customers should carefully review their bills before paying here. Charging an included gratuity without clearly informing customers, while also requesting an additional tip, is misleading and unacceptable. The overall attitude from management was arrogant, disrespectful, and completely lacking in professionalism. Dining out should be an enjoyable experience, but this restaurant completely ruined that for us. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this restaurant for anyone.

We walked into a casual, local space with a straightforward setup that works well for a simple meal rather than a long dining experience. The seating is limited, and the use of paperware even for dine-in orders gives the restaurant a practical, neighborhood feel, the kind of place where the focus stays on the food rather than the atmosphere. The biggest highlight is the wonton noodle soup. The shrimp wontons are larger than the typical Hong Kong-style wontons and are packed with shrimp flavor, giving the dish a more filling feel. The noodles have a good texture with a slight chew, and the broth provides a light but comforting base that ties everything together without overwhelming the other components. The beef options are also worth trying, especially the braised beef and brisket, which add a richer, more savory flavor to the noodles. Beyond noodles, the menu has a variety of classic Hong Kong-style sides and add-ons. The curry fish balls and fried fish skin are popular choices that add different textures to the meal, while the Hong Kong milk tea works well as a drink pairing, with a smooth, slightly bitter profile that cuts through the richness of the food. There are also vegetarian options available, giving the menu more flexibility for different preferences. Service is generally quick and efficient, and the portions are filling for the price. The restaurant can feel busy during peak hours due to the limited seating, but the turnover is fast enough that the wait does not feel excessive. The presentation is simple and functional, and the overall experience feels rooted in the kind of quick, satisfying meal that Hong Kong-style noodle shops are known for. Maxi's Noodle is a solid place for Hong Kong-style comfort food, especially if you are craving wonton noodles. The large shrimp wontons, chewy noodles, and affordable portions make it a worthwhile stop, offering a meal that feels both familiar and satisfying without any unnecessary fuss. It may not be the most polished dining experience, but it delivers exactly what it promises: a simple, comforting bowl of noodles done right.
