Comfort food when you need a nice pick me up? You got just the place if you need good value with decent eats. Sing Choi Kee serves Hong Kong style comfort food and it hits the spot. I wouldn't expect phenomenal food because it's a cafe comfort spot in the mall. If you have those in mind, then the expectations are met if not exceeded with some menu items. You got a great for a 2 person where you pay 50 dollars for 2 entrees, 1 appetizer, 2 drinks and a dessert. They even have a 4-person deal. Solid 4.5/5 Decent food, standard service, small venue, Cute drinks and desserts with the little bear or panda. Food - I highly recommend the Slippery Eggs over Rice with Shrimp (8/10) We have a little kid who is picky, but devoured the food. You already know a picky kid who cleans the plate means the food is bomb. Really impressed by the quality and cook of the egg and shrimp for a casual comfort eats spot. Next I would recommend the Sliced Beef rice noodle chicken soup (7.5/10) Solid beef soup dish, flavorful and huge for the value. Plenty of meat as well. You can't go wrong if you are craving sliced beef noodles. Curry Fish balls (5/10) - They were just okay, the fishballs seemed like they were just dipped rather than marinated. They don't have a strong curry taste. HK Style toast (6/10) - Heavy competition with the other HK cafes nearby. They do give you ice cream which is great, but it is really sweet. A ton of cream, but it's pretty. Roast pork over rice (6.5/10) - Decent meal, and it will fill you up. Make sure to mix it with the egg as that is the intended way to eat. Hard to compare when you have some of the best pork in the area, this is really if you are craving roast port HK style. Even then, it's okay. Little bear ice tea (5/10) - Super instragramable drink, but flavor wise is okay. It's cute and that's the main selling point. It's a good portion too though, but some might think it has a lot of ice as opposed to actual drink. Decor (8/10) - It's emulated a small cafe from Hong Kong which is really cool. Place is clean, but small. Not bad but it can't fit a lot of people. I give it props for trying to give it that Old school HK vibe. Nice place. Service (8/10) - Not a lot of people, but our waitress was really attentive. She gave us napkins before we even asked. Really nice and solid service especially for a HK style cafe. Sometimes the waiters in other places like Mahjong will never go to you. It's a nice spot and I would definitely recommend it or show friends. Food is decent quality and it honestly deserves more foot traffic. Great prices - decent food. Can't really go wrong with that right?

We came with a group of five on a Sunday around lunchtime, and we were able to be seated right away. We ordered the slippery eggs with shrimp, curry fish balls, HK style French toast, boba toast, and the panda tofu jelly to share. I really liked the slippery eggs, and it was nice that you could choose how cooked you wanted your eggs. I thought the eggs and shrimp were cooked perfectly. The curry fish balls were good, and I thought the panda tofu jelly was light and refreshing. The marshmallow panda was really cute, and I liked the popping boba in there as well. I was pretty disappointed in the toasts though. They definitely look better than they taste! Overall, I think this is a nice place to get a snack, but I've been to better HK cafes in the city. Everything is really aesthetic though, and I feel like they place more focus on that.

I came here twice and it's a pretty neat place. First time I came here, I got an abalone and seafood rice noodle spicy soup and it was really spicy! They gave a lot of noodles and the bowl was so big! The seafood was delicious. It's just the spiciness was up to the roof! I had to drink my milk tea to dissipate the spice in my mouth! Second time I came here I got spaghetti with sausage in tomato sauce and it was pretty good. Just the fact that they gave a lot of peppers and onions! It was just too much. Sausage was kind of sweet and did not taste that well with the peppers and spaghetti. Should have chosen beef or chicken to go with the spaghetti. My daughter got shrimp pasta kids meal combo and it came with a bottled apple juice and three chicken nuggets. The chicken nuggets were golden crispy and very chunky. Tasted pretty good. This place is very colorful and has themes to celebrate the upcoming holiday. They got skeletons now in the restaurant to celebrate Halloween. Then last summer they got an astronaut. The environment here is somewhat loud with lots of people talking and you can hear the kitchen doing its work. Lots of neon and back lighting everywhere. You have to scan the QR code on the table to order your food, which is a new concept.

Coming from Florida, there really isn't any equivalent of a Hong Kong style cafe down there. So I knew I had to try this place out and was not disappointed. The food is so filling, delicious, and yet incredibly affordable. I got the egg and crispy chicken over rice and it was excellent. Fluffy scrambled eggs covered the rice to provide a layer of richness. At the same time, the chicken had a nice crispy exterior while staying tender on the inside. Perfectly complemented by a Salted Lemon Drink. For take out service though, the wait was quite long. But if you are patient, you are rewarded with some delicious food :)

If you love Hong Kong street food, this is the place for you. They are like comfort food to me when I'm craving for something simple and quick. The food easily satisfied my expectation on top of the flavor and portion. I stopped at this restaurant to get a quick bite. When I arrived I had to park a few blocks away. I walked into the shopping mall and went to the food court and found the restaurant. It was a small cozy place. I ordered with a nice young man! I ordered: Little Bear Lemon Tea Sihai Fish Ball with Curry Sauce Beef Pasta with Tomato Sauce Malaysia Style Curry sliced beef over rice Slippery eggs over rice HK Style French Toast The tea was really good! I also loved the beef and pasta! It was a good experience all in all!

Our first time to Tangram so had to try sing choi kee, the canto style eatery inside the mall along with some other spots at the food court. They have a kiosk where you can order take out and the order was done in about 15 minutes. Quite busy in the food court so if you don't eat at the restaurant, you have to hawk a bit for a table. Ordered a combo set with the Malaysian chicken curry (+$1) a long with a ying yeung (coffee/milk tea). Also tried the grapefruit bear soda with the sugar bear. Everything came out to around $30 so a little steep but can't expect HK prices here. The drinks were very good and food came out hot. The curry and chicken over rice was OK in my opinion, as it was Malay style. Chicken could've been more plentiful imo, but was saucy and came with a nice soft fluffy egg. still tasty. Worth a try for HK style food as I would prob try something else like noodles next time.

First time trying Sing Choi Kee with the fam, and I think we found a new spot for our casual cravings! I ordered the seafood rice noodle with zao pai vinegar soup--it's supposed to be mildly spicy, but I didn't get any spice vibes, just tangy, sour goodness that lowkey reminded me of sinampalukan (but with noodles + seafood instead of meat). Huge portion too, enough for 2 people unless you're super hungry, and they did NOT skimp on the seafood. There were mussels, crabmeat, squid--every bite had something. The boys got the roast pork over rice and it was actually more meat than what was pictured on the menu (love when that happens), plus two eggs and veggies, making it a solid, filling plate. The hubs got the slippery egg with Malaysian curry pork chop over rice, and that was tasty too--warm, comforting curry flavors without being too heavy. We also tried the lemon iced tea with a cute teddy bear ice floating in it (we had to take pics, obviously), and the mango coconut drink with a floating astronaut (?) which was adorable. Overall, super happy with our first try here. Portions are generous, prices are fair, flavors are comforting, and the drinks are IG-worthy. We'll definitely be back to try the other dishes!

This is a Hong Kong cafe style in the food court area of Tangram. They have dedicated seating and you order on the tablet for to-go. The staff let me actually sit at a table while I waited for my order as it wasn't too busy around 3:30 PM on a Saturday. I only ordered one item, so this review is only based on that experience; it's not necessarily reflective of what a full experience ordering multiple items would be. Buttered Pineapple Bun (2/5): The bun itself was unfortunately kind of dense and dry on the inside. It wasn't toasted all the way through which meant that there wasn't that stark temperature difference of hot bread to start melting the thick pat of butter. Instead, you got the worst of all texture worlds and it just wasn't great. The cookie crust on the outside was nice enough, but couldn't make up for the rest of its faults.

I really liked everything we got at Sing Choi Kee. The pineapple bun chicken burger and HK French toast were standouts, but honestly the whole meal hit. We got the appetizer platter, sausage tomato pasta, silky egg with curry chicken, and two drinks--all for under $90.

Good flavors and will get you full, but ratio of what you get for the price is my only critique Food was good, the flavors were there, but I wish the portions were a bit different, especially for the price. I ordered roast pork over rice, I got mostly rice, small portions of meat, few pieces of lettuce and 2 eggs. Ordered take out but the inside seems clean. Not too many tables for seating.

My dine-in experience here went fairly smoothly and tasty. Wait time for a table was about 15mins (table reservation done through kiosk); Wanted to order their set combos, but was too hungry for the sets and combos cannot be replaced with other items on the menu. Got their fatty beef over curry rice and a HK style tea with creme Popsicle. The rice dish tasted pretty good with an authentic HK style curry flavor I liked. The drink was strangely good- it's different than a normal HK milk tea. OVerall, enjoyed my meal

Came to tangram looking for a quick dinner. Saw that Sing Choi Kee wasn't that busy and there's only 2 tables ahead of my party of 2 so we decided to wait. It's supposed to be Hong Kong style cafe but nothing is Hong Kong about it especially the speed. We got our ticket at 6:20pm, sat done by 6:40pm, and ordered by 6:50. My daughter ordered a kids meal which includes a shrimp spaghetti, a choice of chicken nuggets or fries, apple or orange juice and their promotion claims there's a toy (which never came). They were very inflexible as my daughter doesn't eat shrimp (not that she's allergic but it flares up her eczema so we avoid it) and we were told we can't change it out to other type of protein. So we ordered it as is and she just took the shrimps out. I ordered a slippery egg over rice with Malaysian style curry chicken chop. The eggs weren't that "slippery", the curry isn't Malaysian style but rather the canned ones you can find at supermarket. The chicken however, was nicely fried. Crispy on the outside and moist and tender on the inside and it saved the dish. As I mentioned before, there's nothing Hong Kong about this restaurant especially their speed. Service was extremely slow. We ordered by 6:50pm, my daughter's meal came out around 7:10pm and my curry rice didn't come out until 7:25pm. We had to leave by 7:30 so I had 5mins to eat my food. I was observing and it seemed like they prioritize take outs over dine in. There really isn't that many tables in the restaurant; maybe about 6-7 small 2-person tables with only 5 occupied and then another table of 4 that was occupied at the back. I don't understand why it would take so long for our food to come out. These Hong Kong style cafes are supposed to be like fast food that you're in and out within 30mins but we ended spending over an hour with the majority of our time waiting for our food and not a table. On the good note, I ordered their Hong Kong style iced lemon tea and was pleasantly surprised how authentic it tasted. The tea itself was strong with the just the right about of lemon slices and syrup. Overall, food was mediocre and not worth the wait. I'm giving 1 star for the lemon tea and 1 star for the chicken and given the slow service, I'm not interested in returning at all.

Or maybe because my taste buds have evolved over the years. Or maybe it's just not as good as it used to be. The answer is maybe all three and somewhere in the middle. I have never came here, or any other Latino-Chinese restaurants in NYC, for service or decor, so let's set that aside. The value is still somewhat there, but the food did not hit that nostalgic note I was looking for. I wanted to get the Fried Pork Chops (Chuletas De Cerdo Frita), but our server suggested the "juicier" Broiled Pork Chops (Chuletas De Credo Asada) instead. Sorry to report, if that's juicy, then how dry is the fried pork chops? I shutter at the thought. It was also under seasoned. I substituted the House Fried Rice for my side at an $4.50 additional fee. It was just okay and not worth the upgrade. Boneless Crispy Fried Chicken (Chicharron De Pollo) was also a disappointment. The batter was more hard than crispy, but the idea that boneless dark meat isn't more juicy simply tells me that the chef over fried the pieces. It came with Fried sweet plantains, which could have been a but more ripe but not bad. I'm not sure how I feel about the Beef Stew (Carne Guisada), which had relatively tender meat, but the sauce was so weak and lacked any real flavor. The black beans and white rice that came with it was decent. What might bring me back to this restaurant sooner rather than later was the Shrimp Egg Foo Young (foo Young Con Camarones). I felt that the eggs were cooked extremely well, but the star of the show was that delicious brown sauce full of umami. Having this over white or fried rice made this meal much more acceptable. I'm not sure when I'll have another craving for this type of food. If I do, I'll definitely get the egg foo young again. However, the other dishes were misses for me, so maybe I'll try the Fried Pork Chops and Shredded Beef in Tomato SayceRopa Vieja.

I ordered the cured pork with garlic shoots and dry fried green beans. The cured pork was quite salty, and paired well with the buttery, tender leeks it was cooked with. The dish was not overly oily, and was pleasant over white rice. I enjoyed the chewiness of the pork which allowed you to experience the complex flavor. The green beans were well fried, with characteristic texture signature to this dish. The seasoning was very well balanced and not overpowering to the natural sweetness of the green beans. I would recommend either dish. They were both slightly toned down iterations when compared to the times I've eaten these dishes at other Sichuan restaurants in flushing, but still well seasoned and well cooked. The service was very warm and friendly, and many other customers seemed to be returning regulars.

Warning to all with a pineapple allergy like me: do not eat the duck sauce. If you like spicy ask for hot mustard instead. Orange chicken was crispy and flavorful. I did not find it spicy, but my spice tolerance is very high. My fiance had the chicken with broccoli and it looked amazing. Try the cold noodles. They are chewy and delicious. For me the fried dumplings were good, but not great. Worth a try but nothing to rave over.
