I've been come to this restaurant since I was a baby. It has never disappointed me. I love there wanton soup and house fried rice.

Cuisine: 6 Service: 7 Decor: 4 Value: 7 I have not been here in a long time. Maybe because the prices are no longer considered cheap eats. Or maybe because my taste buds have evolved over the years. Or maybe it's just not as good as it used to be. The answer is maybe all three and somewhere in the middle. I have never came here, or any other Latino-Chinese restaurants in NYC, for service or decor, so let's set that aside. The value is still somewhat there, but the food did not hit that nostalgic note I was looking for. I wanted to get the Fried Pork Chops (Chuletas De Cerdo Frita), but our server suggested the "juicier" Broiled Pork Chops (Chuletas De Credo Asada) instead. Sorry to report, if that's juicy, then how dry is the fried pork chops? I shutter at the thought. It was also under seasoned. I substituted the House Fried Rice for my side at an $4.50 additional fee. It was just okay and not worth the upgrade. Boneless Crispy Fried Chicken (Chicharron De Pollo) was also a disappointment. The batter was more hard than crispy, but the idea that boneless dark meat isn't more juicy simply tells me that the chef over fried the pieces. It came with Fried sweet plantains, which could have been a but more ripe but not bad. I'm not sure how I feel about the Beef Stew (Carne Guisada), which had relatively tender meat, but the sauce was so weak and lacked any real flavor. The black beans and white rice that came with it was decent. What might bring me back to this restaurant sooner rather than later was the Shrimp Egg Foo Young (foo Young Con Camarones). I felt that the eggs were cooked extremely well, but the star of the show was that delicious brown sauce full of umami. Having this over white or fried rice made this meal much more acceptable. I'm not sure when I'll have another craving for this type of food. If I do, I'll definitely get the egg foo young again. However, the other dishes were misses for me, so maybe I'll try the Fried Pork Chops and Shredded Beef in Tomato SayceRopa Vieja. read more

It's a Chinese-Spanish menu. The service of the waiters is always pleasant and quick. It's definately a family restaurant for everyone. Everyone finds something they love. A 90s classic. I have been coming here since I was a kid. My parents use to bring me and my siblings here every couple of weeks growing up. It's a Cuban Chinese fusion. Inspired by the Cuban Caribbean Chinese people . The food is so flavorful and comforting. Definitely not your typical Chinese so don't expect traditional Chinese flavors. They have a variety of Chinese, and Latino dishes some mixed together. For example they have tostones, Moro (brown rice with black beans), and sweet plantains along with other options. My friend has been going here for years and recommended this place for me to try. I usually get Chinese food to take out so I was excited to dine in. This place is cash only, so keep that in mind. They brought out bread and butter to eat. For my entree I had shrimp with broccoli with vegetable fried rice and sweet plaintains. I like that this place combiness Chinese and Spanish cuisine. For my drink I had the house red wine. It was a great complement to the food. The service was wonderful, they were really attentive. My friend brought me here and I had my doubts. But by far I have never been proven so wrong. I had their beef stew with fried rice and maduros. The beef was so tender and juicy. Ate here today by myself for lunch while working for the polls today trying this place out for the first time. This restaurant is definitely Chinese and Spanish that I can hear the servers speaking both Chinese and Spanish so fluently. Anyways, today I had brought and ate the pan steak lunch special that comes with fried rice and asked for fried sweet plantains as a side order and a flan for dessert. I've been here a few times and I enjoyed the food. I wasn't a fan of their chicharron de pollo and their Maduros. I definitely did like their Palomilla steak and shrimp fried rice. I just wish that they would give more shrimp instead of 4 pieces. The servers are always on point and friendly. The only thing I didn't like was the temperature of the restaurant. Well on a Saturday night around 6pm we headed over and the parking is terrible. No parking lots and had to drive around for a while to get a spot. The restaurant is located on a very busy street full of store and other restaurants. This place is like old school Chinese. We had chicken wings, wonton soup and ribs for appetizers. For dinner we had shrimp with lobster sauce and pork chops and shrimp egg foo young. The Pork Chops were overcooked. The shrimp with lobster sauce was ok. Took my MIL to celebrate her birthday with a party of 11. I had chicken with broccoli with black beens and plátano maduro. Chicken was slightly salty but otherwise food was tasty and fresh. Others in our party had bistec encebollao, fried rice, salad and maduros, chicharrón de pollo, fried rice, and maduros, house lo-mein (with a little bit of everything in it such as shrimp, beef, chicken) among others. The service was nothing short of great, food came out quickly--I bought an ice cream cake from the outside and they kindly cut it and distributed it, I really appreciated that . The menu description did not say the dish came with shrimp and he's allergic. I tasted the shrimp and it tasted like dirty tap water. Came here with a local for some Chinese Latin fusion, something I don't really have that often and something you don't see much in NY. Quick service and attentive staff. They also provide complimentary bread and butter which is nice. Ordered fried rice with squid and whatever that was recommended to us (stir fried beef with onion and fries). Loved the fried rice especially. Both also come in huge portions. They packed the food for us which we took home for later. With covid still being a thing, they are pretty attentive with the place. The food tasted weird to me. Like if they fry everything in the same oil so all of those flavors are mixed in and you can taste it. I have been to Chinese Spanish restaurants but this one is not great. The workers are also either not around to help serve you, huddled together or just no where to be seen, when I was there. The bathrooms are horrible, so small and dirty. The place itself seems dirty too. Most of the staff are of Dominican-Chinese descent and are all trilingual. They have both Dominican and Chinese cuisine on the menu and everything is delicious and reasonably priced. I usually get the arroz con pollo dominicano (Dominican style rice & chicken) or the pollo empatizado combo (breaded chicken) which comes with your choice of rice and side. They serve beer and wine and have takeout available (though there is more than enough seating and service is unbelievably quick).
