This place has amazing takeout food for a very reasonable price, hands down the best value in the neighborhood. My personal favorites are their chicken and broccoli, fried dumplings and general tsos chicken! I'm so glad this place was able to stay open despite the covid-19 shutting down so many places! read more

I had a craving for some wonton soup and egg foo young while driving on Metropolitan Ave. Saw this place and took a chance. It looks run down inside. The lady at the counter wasn't too friendly. She was professional enough. took my order and it was ready in a timely fashion. The food was very good! The wonton soup had pieces of pork (most places do not) The egg foo young was really yummy! I would definitely go back! read more

Best Chinese Takeout Restaurant in NYC!!!I've tried a lot of Chinese takeout spots in NYC, but this one truly stands out. Usually, takeout dishes come with overly thick sauces that look unappetizing and feel heavy--but not here. The flavors are fresh, well-balanced, and surprisingly close to what you'd get at a dine-in Chinese restaurant. You can really taste the difference in quality. If you're craving Chinese food that doesn't feel like your typical greasy takeout, this place is a must-try! read more

It's take out so no ambiance. The food is very good always hot and ready in a jiffy. I get the lunch special and that is two meals for me. Their spring rolls are delicious. The staff are always cheerful and helpful. read more

We have been ordering from Wing Wah for many years. My 2 grandsons 16 & 19 come in from NJ to visit and want Wing Wah. Then we Have to order a second order for them to take home. The food is always fresh and delicious. A nice little mom & pop business. read more

This is our go to place for real authentic chinese dishes! Food is always fresh and delicious. Good portions at good prices. It's not an easy job but the husband and wife team does an excellent job and are always nice and friendly no matter how busy it gets! They have a very extensive menu choices and their lunch specials are a great value and very good. They have been in the neighborhood for many years and we highly recommend them for authentic chinese food! read more

4 stars. Been going here a lot. Food is a fantastic value for the price and employees are nice. Sometimes takes long to cook your food since there's only two workers. Call to order ahead. Rating this based on a takeout restaurant and not fine dining. read more

Love this place for take out! It's out of the way for us but we always go there anyway because it's waaaay better than the Chinese nearby.

My local Chinese takeout place! They have a haw fun noodle with beef, broccoli and egg white sauce which is so delicious. I order it every time I'm there because it never disappoints. I've tried other dishes- beef and broccoli, soy sauce beef and flat noodles, which are equally tasty. They've got a lot of other options too- haven't tried yet though. read more

Best chicken pho ever. Get the churn feng too! It is their best stable appetizer. They are famous for their chicken Pros: Cheapest chicken pho you can find with good quality Opens early at 10am when you want that chicken pho Chicken broth is so good and tasty! Cons: street parking which can be a pain Shortstaffed so on weekends, the service is slow read more

Standard operating procedure from door to counter. One large photo of an indescript location with flowing water and a series of washed out colored flowers adorn the far wall. Oddly, these pictures never engage my appetite nor do the pictures of the food above the counter area. The hard plastic photos some customers stare at for exorbitant amounts if time, like moths do to a light source. Bypassing the illuminati if signage and the white menu the size of a seat cushion, pencils stuck in a jar of rice awaiting their toil, always keeps me from ordering rice. Beef Chow Fun, add a dollar of extra beef (whether they do or not is anybody's guess) and a quart of Hot & Sour soup. Neither if these choices were very good, nor very unappealing. At 10:20 at night when your tummy us growling and your only option on Metropolitan is the golden arches, its a relatively safe bet. read more

I freaking love this place!! Not only is the food amazing, the owners are also super kind and friendly. My family and I have been going here for years and we never run out of dishes to try. The food is cheap and the portion are generous; it is definitely a quick go to whenever you want to save a couple bucks! Would definitely recommend any dish with chicken in it and the sauce in each dish is amazing. read more

Had this at a friends house and the food was amazing. The general Tso's chicken is the best I have ever had anywhere. Minus a star I felt the egg drop soup was bland but good and the egg rolls were subpar at best. I'm excited to have the generals chicken again down the road if you live close by I would definitely get it every single time. read more

I have finally found a local Chinese takeout hat has great food!! Anyone who has read my reviews of the local Chinese take out places I tried know that its slim pickens in Rego Park/Forest ills for good Chinese delivery/takeout. I passed this place a few times on Metropolitan Ave and never gave it a second glance until recently. It was getting desperate for me because I love Chinese takeout and was avoiding ordering it unless I felt like getting in the car and driving to Ho Wan. My wife and I gave them a shot last night and it was fantastic. I ordered the steamed dumplings and they were much better than any of the places around here, even better than Ho Wan's IMHO. I got a Shrimp w/ Lobster sauce combo and my wife a Generals Chicken combo. As well as some fried wontons. The dumpling sauce was great not watery but not super thick. It clung very nicely to the dumplings and tasted delicious. The sauce with the fried wontons was a basic sweet and sour sauce but not super thin like so many places are making it lately. The shrimp in the lobster sauce were tasty and tasted fresh and no gross veiny stuff on them like East meets West had every time I ordered from them. The Generals chicken was great as well, a bit different than the generic taste it seems most takeouts are serving up. It was so good I ordered it again tonight and had sweet and sour chicken which was also good. Nothing out of the ordinary but good and the sauce made it stand above any other places locally. Overall if youre picky about Chinese takeout and live in the Rego Park/Forest Hills/ Middle Village area give this place a shot! read more

I love this place. Very flavorful and delicious! They are very generous with their meat proportions. The best chinese food takeout in town! Keep up the good work! read more

This has been my favorite Chinese takeout spot for many years now. Their menu consists of the usual Americanized Chinese takeout food but I find it to be less greasy than other takeout places. My favorite thing to order there is the hot and sour soup, it's very flavorful. They have combo platters that I order all the time, they're a great deal as you get a dish with rice and a soup for less than $10. If you order more than $10 worth of food, they throw in a can of soda for free. Delivery is pretty quick but expect to wait a little longer for your food if you're calling on a night with bad weather. Everyone is probably ordering delivery at the same time as you! I've moved out of their delivery area twice in the past two years but I still order takeout from here whenever I'm in the area. It's THAT good! read more

I wish this place was in Rhode Island. This is what Chinese food is supposed to taste like. When I'm visiting the in-laws we order take out. It's not much to look at - the ambience itself is a bit dreary - if you look at the place you probably wouldn't order from them. Order take out only. Their sitting area is blah. But their kitchen is meticulous, service is prompt and their food is fresh. Their chicken, beef and fish is stand out noticibly fresh. They don't use MSG or sugar. The flavor strata is made up of spices, herbs, sauces. It's not heavy - it doesn't leave you awkwardly full. They prepare their dishes to your desires and specifications. Their pricing is fair. The owners live across the street from my in-laws so supporting local is in play here. They work 16-18 hour days - and it's a family affair. read more

Ordered take out two days ago; beef &brocolli, beef lo mien, fried chicken wing and french fries, another type of white noodle (forgot its name), and free general tso chicken (spent more than $45). Beside french fries (just ok), all others are tasty, fresh, and delicious. We'll definetely order again. read more

I've been to many chinese take out places my entire life, but wing wah is definitely at the top of the list. They do the classics just right and have the best staff by far. If you're thinking about getting chinese- you HAVE to come here read more

We love Wing Wah! Our favorite Chinese restaurant in the area. We order it all the time.... the service is always timely and the food is great; huge portions, super cheap. And the staff is so, so nice. Our favorites: general Tso's chicken, vegetable dumplings, egg rolls, and the wonton soup. When they reopened after being shuttered for quarantine, we almost cried, we were so happy. They are truly our go-to. read more

The best takeout spot that I have ever been to. I did not know what I wanted to order at first, but the staff was very friendly and recommended various items on the menu. I ended up ordering the General Tso's Chicken with the Egg Drop Soup. Not only did the food come quickly, but it also tasted amazing. I will definitely come back and order again! read more

I just walked into the store and saw the lady chopping up chicken and a piece fell on the floor & she picked it up and put it in a pot instead throwing it out and washing her hands!!!! I confronted her and she lied straight to my face and waved me off as to dismiss me. I'm definitely calling to help department to have them reevaluate their current rating of A! I used to order every week from them.. I am never going back there and I strongly suggest that no one should ever go there again. read more

Nothing crazy. I got the general tsos chicken w white rice and broccoli. The broccoli had a wierd smell to it and the chicken was cut in such tiny pieces. I would give 5 stars but they are not kind or make you feel welcomed, also because I said in person to the lady no vegetables and she put vegetables anyway. The food was really good and when my family tried it they loved it and asked where I got it. I got the general tsos chicken with pork fried rice. They have lunch specials for under 6$ but dinner time is over 8$ read more

Honestly, I was very skeptical before coming here because I traditionally don't eat out that much because I have a weak stomach. However, I ended up coming because of some previous reviews and it exceeded all of my expectations. The staff was very inviting and helpful with dish recommendations and prepared the food very quickly! The Chicken Broccoli dish tasted really authentic. As someone who's been to a quite a few takeout places in the past, the taste here doesn't compare. It's fresh and leaves you feeling good. And coming from someone who usually gets an upset stomach easily, I can attest to saying the food here left me feeling great and wanting more. I am definitely ranking this as one of my go to spots from now, and hope everyone else tries it out too! read more

We've been ordering from Wing Wah for many years. It is a simple and safe Chinese take out. Beef and broccoli with garlic sauce is my family's favorite. This place is hit or miss for me. The first time I ordered there, I had their boneless ribs. On appearance, they looked juicy and succulent. But when I had my first bite, they were completely bland. I was disappointed, but had no choice but to finish them. I know some would argue that I need to use a sauce, but I prefer to taste meals as is without adding additional seasonings on my end. The second time I went, I had their beef fried rice and the flavor more than made up for their bland boneless ribs. The meat was tender and juicy. And the rice didn't feel overly greasy at all. It was perfectly cooked. I'd give this place a higher rating if their food was great across the board. At the very least, their customer service was polite and prompt. read more
